City Döner in Berlin

My girlfriend and I received super friendly service. I rarely eat kebab but when I feel like it, city kebab is my first choice. Super fresh, super tasty

Very happy with the service and food here. My partner and I did our best to order in German (we're English speakers). The staff obliged despite being busy. We made a mistake, ordering 3 big donners instead of 2, but it wasn't a problem. The staff only mentioned it in passing as we were paying. Given how busy they were, I'm sure it didn't go to waste. The donner itself was delicious! One of the best I've had. After finishing, we wished we'd paid for the third we'd ordered by accident. At least we know for next time. Very pleased, thank you!

Regular here. Donner is big and tasty. The inside space in very small and with a renovation it could be be made cosy. Its hard to sit and eat there on the winter.

Even though the first impression wasn't actually bad, I had stomach problems the next day. The quality of the meat wasn't exactly desirable either. As you know, typical "meat mash on a skewer", not layered meat. Although this is often the case in Berlin, you still shouldn't support it.

Ordered Halloumi Dürüm. The flatbread was cold, just a few pieces of halloumi. Salad and vegetables: bland. The sauces have no taste. Prepared without rubber gloves (!!!!). The worst Halloumi Dürüm I've ever eaten. Never again.

Doner kebab is ok (red cabbage a bit too sour) Unfriendly employee... The customer in front of me was English and very friendly, polite and made a real effort, ordered everything clearly and was then harassed by an arrogant employee who spoke bad German himself🙃…..if I hadn't been so hungry I would have left straight away 🤨

The kebab was really delicious. I was a bit confused that a mixed kebab costs extra but it was only 50 cents so it was still within reason. The many wasps outside were very annoying, of course the store can't do anything about it.

Guy dealt with money and didn't even wash his hand properly, don't eat there!! Reply to the comment of the owner of the page: I never said he didn't wash his hands, I said he didn't wash properly. You need to wash your hands at least 30 seconds thoroughly with soap to kill bacteria. The guy I talk about did it too quickly, after counting coins for a homeless guy who wanted to exchange the coins for paper money. That happened 2 minutes before I wrote the review thereafter.

The ready-made frozen falafel in bread that was too soft (not Turkish flatbread) was unfortunately more of a standard, not a highlight for €6 If you can choose the bread, shouldn't it be mentioned when ordering? Here the customer was clearly not given advice, but rather assumed knowledge. This also applies to new customers like me. The 2 stars are justified.

Disgusting the kebab for the price. I had a lot of raw fatty rubbery meat pieces in my kebab. And that's not the first time... the temperature on the grill is simply too low, the meat is always pale or it's cut down too quickly. I won't do that anymore because it's too bad for me to spend the money.

Just picked up some kebabs here. Service and all the trimmings were very nice. Unfortunately there was a stone in one of the kebabs. Can happen, looks more like a piece of the kitchen counter. We just contacted the owner by phone and he just said that something like that doesn't happen to him and we shouldn't be kidding him, plus he doesn't have time right now and he doesn't care and just hung up on our faces. Really professional and child-friendly…not.

06.2024: ⭐⭐. Price increased to 7 euros. Prices in Maps (€5.30) have not been updated for years - laziness or misleading? Price now excessive. Lunch at an Indian restaurant for 9 euros with more staff and 20x more rental space. Doner still very good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 2023: highly recommended snack bar with a small outdoor area, have been there many times (döner eaters for 40 years, Wedding, Moabit and now Steglitz - so far there has been a lack of a good kebab here): kebab for currently 6.50 euros, enough good meat , good herb sauce. In my opinion, the maxi doner isn't worth it. Try it out......

I must admit, I had one of the most delicious döners ever at this place. It tends to be bustling, with only a few seats available outside to enjoy your meal. Yet, the prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent. I chose it based on reviews, and I'm pleased to add my positive feedback to the mix.

This is my favourite place to get döner in Steglitz (and in Berlin so far). I have been here at almost all different times they have been open, from lunch to 2am and the food has always been great. They have a pretty diverse menu but I have only ever tried the döner and döner box due to how much I enjoy them. It is very conveniently located near S1, U9 and bus stations. They are also very efficient, and even when there is a lineup you never really have to wait that long. I am hesitant to eat at another döner in Berlin as I dont know if it could get any better. Highly recommended.

Too expensive. Haloumi in the bread was not with the normal bread, the normal bread tasted strange. Otherwise ok, but not anymore.

I've eaten better kebab in Berlin, which doesn't mean that the city kebab doesn't taste good, it's okay. I somehow miss the pizzazz in the meat and the sauces.

We went on a kebab holiday in Berlin at the weekend and feasted our way through what we consider to be the best shops in the city for three days. When we went to Steglitz for the start of the Dreiköner Day, there was great joy! The “City Döner” near the town hall has long been known beyond the district. Absolutely right! What a delicious piece. Good size, fair price (€6), prepared with a lot of love - a real recommendation. Unfortunately, after a long night, I decided on the sauce combination “spicy with spicy”, so that at some point my mouth was just burning, but the host can’t help my own stupidity. Keep it up!

It is by far the best kebab I have ever eaten. Was there today and got a kebab with very crusty bread and lots of toppings for €6. The taste was 💯. I can only recommend it ❗️ I'd love to come back.

In terms of service and ambience, it's a normal kebab shop that isn't particularly big, but the Dürüm kebab I ate didn't taste good at all. The salad was clearly no longer fresh and the sauce was already criminal. I don't know what they put in the sauce but the herbs and/or garlic sauce didn't taste good at all. Since I don't really care about the service and ambience and I'm mainly concerned with the food, I only give this one star. Definitely not recommended. If you want to eat a kebab nearby, just go down Schlossstrasse and go to the kebab shop "Döner King".

Der Döner ist einfach unglaublich lecker und würzig! Kann es nur empfehlen! Ich gehe dort schon seid einigen Jahren hin und mit Abstand der beste Döner den ich je probieren durfte. Oft war bei anderen Dönerläden entweder zu viel oder zu wenig Fleisch aber hier ist es perfekt 👌 Die Soßen sind super lecker, mir schmeckt die Knoblauchsoße am besten aber das kommt ja auf den Geschmack an. Mit Abstand der beste Döner Berlins! ✨

Das Essen war lecker und das Personal war sehr herzlich. Allerdings habe ich in meinem veganen Gericht ein Stück Fleisch gefunden, was mir leider wirklich den Appetit verdorben hat :/. Ansonsten ein guter Service!

Fleisch war unangenehm am Boden gesammelt, Ambiente war nicht gut, Gemüse schmeckt nach nichts, Pommes waren weich und teilweise kalt.

Since my last visit in Berlin (pre-pandemic) my favorite döner joint had sadly closed, so I went across the road and went to City Döner instead. I was starving and my expectations weren’t super high, but oh did they deliver 🤤 I went back and had one for dinner three days later as my last döner of the trip, and to see if they had consistency, and I wasn’t disappointed. City Döner is one of my new favorites and I will definitely come back down to Rathaus Steglitz on my next vacation in Berlin.

Visited the local kebab joint last night and it was a fantastic experience! The place had a great vibe… The service was top-notch - friendly and efficient. I went with the classic doner kebab, and it was a flavor explosion. The meat was perfectly seasoned and tender, and the combination of fresh veggies, sauces.!!! What really impressed me was the attention to detail. Even the side dishes, like the French fries and the yogurt-based sauce, were excellent.They've definitely mastered the art of making a delicious meal. Cleanliness and hygiene were also on point and I felt safe dining in. This kebab place is a must-visit for any food lover. Whether you're a doner aficionado or trying it for the first time, you won't be disappointed. I'm already planning my next visit to try more from their menu. Can't wait!

Best Doner in Steglitz. Don't bother going somewhere else

Ich bin beruflich in ganz Deutschland unterwegs und esse meisten wo auch immer ich gerade bin einfach einen Döner. Bewertungen darüber mache ich zu 99,9 Prozent nicht darüber … aber bei diesen Döner ist es mir 100 Prozent wert darüber zu berichten. Hier stimmt einfach alles … die Menge an Sauce und Beef. Das geröstete Brot. Das frische Gemüse. Besser gehts kaum meiner Meinung. Bleibt bitte genau so wie ihr seid.

Aufjedenfall ein Dönerladen, den ich nur empfehlen kann. Sehr leckerer Döner und sympatische Bedienung. Weiter so!

Mit Abstand der beste Döner/ Dürüm, die freundlichste Bedienung samt dem Service und vom Preis- Leistungsverhältnis einfach außerordentlich gut in Steglitz. Eine Empfehlung für alle Kebab-Liebhaber, ob am Tage oder bis spät in die Nacht!!!

Kann jetzt nur den vegetarischen Döner bewerten, da ich selber kein Fleisch esse. Halloumi Döner war okay, 6€. Es war halt sehr wenig von dem Grillgemüse drin, man hatte echt das Gefühl, dass man nur Brot und Salat ohne Sauce isst weil sehr wenig davon drin. Wir waren nur 5 Min unterwegs und der eingepackte Döner war sofort kalt. Tipp: Alufolie mit der glänzenden Seite nach innen, dann hält es auch tatsächlich warm.
