My husband and I visited here for the desserts. We ordered the tiramisu and cannoli. Both dishes came out quickly, they were delicious and fresh. They do not speak English her just Italian and German but they were still so kind and helpful.

The place is supposed to give you a luxurious look. I give it 2 stars, at the front, yuck, at the gaterobe, yuck. Clothes make the man! We were simply dressed, and also had dreads. After that, we were rated. Low-level rabble. We then dared to try the totally overcooked noodles and to complain about the missing pine nuts. That was the end of the fun. The nursery is badly flawed! Comments from above. My food wasn't great and therefore questionable whether it tasted good. (I didn't ask for your opinion!) The other food was average on the second try. Conclusion: Abijente good bourgeois! A large Swedish furniture store reflects itself. Food: Average, expensive ingredients are "pureed" Service: Insufficient, not capable of criticism, presumption/insinuation that we were cheeky! Too bad... Pride comes before a fall... Still a good time...

I wouldn't actually give the service a star because it was subpar. According to the menu, I ordered linguine with pine nuts, pesto and parmesan. I got totally overcooked pasta with an indefinable pesto paste, with 2 spoonfuls of parmesan sprinkled over it. When I subsequently complained, I not only had to put up with unprofessional comments from the owner, but I was literally talked over the head. Conclusion: Pleasant atmosphere, average food, poor service, not open to criticism at all and we were even accused of being cheeky. The owner is absolutely resistant to advice and is now also operationally blind. When we paid we tried to talk again, but we were completely unreasonable. First insult guests and then be surprised that they don't put up with it. Pride comes before a fall. It's just a good thing that there is enough choice of really professional restaurants.

€8.20 for a 0.7 liter bottle of water! I ordered two straight away. Once with and once without... The bill came later. I know the price now.

We had on January 9th. a dinner date. When we showed up, an older woman right at the entrance very rudely told us she had called me to cancel the appointment. Unfortunately, this is not true, because there was no call from this restaurant, which would have surprised me because she only asked for my name, not the phone number, when I made an appointment. This was very unpleasant as we both had to drive 40 kilometers in opposite directions. It used to be very nice there, with good food, so we wanted to go back after about 8 years, but after this experience we won't try it again. Not only unfriendly, but also lying, that's not possible. Now I read in the reviews that this is not an isolated case. Incredibly unprofessional.

We had made a reservation and were sent away in a very unfriendly manner because we were a closed group. Grandma's birthday then took place somewhere else.

I've lived in Italy for a few years and this family run reustaurant is a must! They do not speak English, only Italian and German. They try their best to understand their customers. It's a small and Intimate setting! There is seating inside and outside and you can bring your dog! Make sure you bring Euros as they do not take card! We make it a point to come here once or twice a month because the food is fantastic. It makes me feel like I'm back in Italy. I definitely reccomend!

I lived above this place from 2015-2019 and got take out almost once a week. Food was always fantastic and staff have been excellent, it’s small, cute and cozy for a more intimate atmosphere. I believe this is family run.

Ich war und bin immer noch begeistert. Hatte Pulposalat als Vorspeise. Kabeljau in Safransauce als Hauptspeise. Pulpo war ein Traum, lauwarm, frisch gemacht, hauchzart. Mit Sellerie und Fenchel in einer absolut köstlichen Marinade. Traumhaft! Kabeljau in Safransauce war super gewürzt, und hauchzart. Das Sößchen ein Traum. Die Tagliatelle so wie sie sein müssen. Meine Frau hatte eine Pizza mit Meeresfrüchten. Reich belegt, geschmacklich 1a. Der Thunfisch nicht als Pressfutter aus der Dose, sondern frische, hauchdünne Scheiben. Ganz hervorragend! Service sehr dezent und freundlich. Schöne, helle Räumlichkeiten. Familiäre Atmosphäre. Stoff-Tischdecken und Stoff-Servietten. Sehr gelungene Speisen- und Getränkeauswahl. Ein feines Restaurant, mit das beste an italienischem Restaurant, was KL zu bieten hat. Preislich muss es einem natürlich wert sein. 100% Weiterempfehlung!

I wish I could comment on the food as Ciro was recommended by a friend, but my husband and I just had the oddest experience with the server upon entry, so we left. We speak English, the server did not - no big deal, we have lived in Europe for years and always manage to communicate in restaurants where English is not spoken. When greeted by the server, I said “two people” in England and in German. The woman said “yes, no English.” She repeated herself several times. It’s not necessarily what she said, it’s how she said it. The sever seemed annoyed with us, did not get menus, or make any attempt to seat us. We were both dressed nicely - not sure why we encountered her blockade at the door. We stood there waiting awkwardly as she looked at us, until we turned around and walked out. I am not sure if this woman was confused, assumed we were not intelligent enough to translate a menu on our own, or just tired of customers for the day, but she misjudged us. Ciro is located on the doorstep of several American military bases which support her local economy. I do NOT feel Ciro staff needs to speak/understand English (albeit advantageous to business owners in this area), but I do feel greeting customers with several “no English” statements is inappropriate and off-putting. The awkward blockade at the door was inappropriate too. Your guests all have Google translate and we can certainly order from a menu and pay a bill if English is not spoken in the restaurant - no big deal. If we all try to understand each other, the customer gets food, and the business makes money. Again, I don’t want to over-assume, but this interaction seemed a little more deep-seeded than a misunderstanding. I certainly hope the owner finds someone to translate this review to this person so other guests do not encounter this odd behavior again. So instead, we ate at the Royal Aroma Indian restaurant nearby. We ate exceptional Indian food while we lived in the UK for 5 years —Royal Aroma is a 10/10 and very clean! I highly recommend Chicken Korma and Garlic Nan.

Bestes italienische Restaurant im weiten Umkreis. Hervorragende Fisch und Fleischgerichte, leckerste Pasta, gepflegte Weine und eine herzliche Bedienung. Reservierung ist meistens notwendig. Kann ich nach meinem gestrigen Besuch nur bestätigen. Der Koch ein Sarde und Sardinien hat die beste Küche der Welt.

Wie Zuhause in Italien, ein Erlebnis! Es wird hier richtig gekocht, sauber, frisch, ausgewählte Zutaten, auch wenn es ein paar Euro mehr kostet als woanders, lohnt es sich wirklich, da hier gute und teuere Produkte verwendet werden! Das Personal auch sehr freundlich und ehrlich! Schade dass wir dieses Restaurant erst jetzt entdeckt haben...ab jetzt, nur noch bei "Ciro"-Alfredo, wenn's italienisch sein muss👍🍝 und Schade dass wir keine Bilder dazu gemacht haben...das nächste Mal Posten wir welche auf jeden Fall 😁

Die Fischgerichte von der Tageskarte waren super!!! Frisch und auf den Punkt gebraten. Selten ein so gutes Vitello Tonnato gegessen. Das Brot, die Weine, der Espresso...alles top Qualität! Dazu noch ein freundlicher Service und ein angenehmes Ambiente. Was will man mehr? Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Essen war gut aber die Preise sind eine Frechheit. Für die Pizza und die Ravioli, zum Mitnehmen, wurden 26€ kassiert. Zusätzlich ist keine Zahlung mit Kreditkarte möglich, also wird hier auch noch an den Gebühren gespart. Sehr schade, war das letzte mal.

Beste italienische Küche in ganz Kaiserslautern. Ausgezeichnete Qualität, freundliches Personal. Der Besuch ist obligatorisch.

Great food, great people, and dog loving

I was in town for work and looking for a quiet place to grab some real Italian food. This place is it! The atmosphere is quiet and charming and the menu has lots of wonderful options. I ordered the caprese salad and the mozzarella was to DIE for. I also ordered the ravioli scampi and the sauce tasted like heaven. The owner was very polite and pieced together my English to determine what I wanted. Would highly recommend for a quiet and delicious night out.

Das Ciro wurde von uns bisher in größeren Abständen besucht... Geschmacklich gab es auch wieder nichts auszusetzen, Personal freundlich o.k. preislich war es noch nie günstig, aber alles in allem in Ordnung. Krise hin oder her... Was uns aber nach dem letzten Besuch aufgefallen ist, es wurde kräftig an der Preisschraube gedreht. Vorspeisen alle jenseits von 10 Euro. Lediglich ein Beilagensalat (6 Euro, welcher leider total im Essig ertrunken war...) Auch die Hauptspeisen...gut aber zu teuer für das was vor einem stand. Da gibt es in der Innerenstadt von Kl. mittlerweile wesentlich bessere Preis Leistungsverhältnisse. Da wir bisher eigentlich immer zufrieden waren, gibt es jetzt auch ein Befriedigent zu unserem leider letzten Besuch...schade...

Alfredo ist einer der besten Köche im weiten Umkreis. Thunfisch absolut perfekt gegart, mit köstlichen Kartoffeln und knackigem Gemüse.

Ich kann die Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen !! Der gute in der Küche kann kochen,aber gehobene Küche ?? Nein !! Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchten für 16€ ,Parmesan nur auf Nachfrage, kein Brot !!Carpaccio 16€ sehr salzig und zuviel Zitrone.Gegrillte Garnelen die sich nicht aus der Schale lösen lassen. Leute es war echt nix. Wäre noch O.K. gewesen wenn man an den Tisch kommt und sich Entschuldigt.Es kann immer was passieren,wichtig ist wie geht man damit um !! Unsere Freunde haben sich bei uns entschuldigt.Und dann die Nummer mit der Rechnung. Wenn Ich um die Rechnung Bitte und sage es geht alles zusammen bekomme dann 2 Rechnungen mit dem Satz die Rechnungen waren schon gedruckt !! Wie geht das denn ?? Es ist nicht böse gemeint aber bei fast 200€ Nö

Tisch im Freien war für uns wie vereinbart reserviert. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Die Tagesangebote werden auf der Tafel vor dem Tisch aufgestellt. Der Tintenfischsalat und die Nudeln mit Jakobsmuscheln und Trüffelsahnesauce schmecken sehr gut. Der Beilagensalat war zu fein geschnitten und machte nicht ganz den frischen Eindruck. Gerne wieder.

Super leckere Speisen gepaart mit einer herzlichen Freundlichkeit des Personals. Pizza wie auch die Nudeln absolut zu empfehlen. Da das Restaurant nicht besonders groß ist, ist eine Reservierung hilfreich. Die Speisekarte ist nicht zu "überladen" und zusätzlich gibt es interessante Tages Gerichte, Preislich noch moderat... Klare Empfehlung

Gehe da schon Jahre lang hin. Immer super lecker. Die Pasta und die Fleisch Gerichte sind toll und die Zabaione am ende ist das Beste.

Seit Jahren kommen wir immer wieder gerne hier her. Wir finden immer etwas Neues auf der Tageskarte oder die Soßen sind vom Feinsten, ganz einfach mit Pasta. Das Preis Niveau passt auch auf der Getränke Karte. Das Team um Laura gibt dir die familiäre Atmosphäre, dass es jedes Mal schwer fällt sich auf den Weg nach Hause zu machen.

This is a jewel of a restaurant! The food is outstanding. I have had Dolmado, Jacob Mussels (Scallops), Vongele, Mussels, Veal Scaloppini Limone, Weiner Snitzel, and pizza FCK as well as Margarita, They are all superb! We go there frequently. Most of the customers are German and retired or older. We see the same faces almost every time. Freddo is a wonderful chef and Laura manages the customers, bar, and helps in the kitchen and makes it look effortless. She greats every customer as they come in through the door. She is amazing! The atmosphere is quiet and intimate. and during the spring and summer there is outdoor dining available on a pleasant patio.

Tonight was our first vist. We chose a table for two. Food was fair. My view was into the kitchen eventhough I told the waitress several times to please close the kitchen door it remained open. Between the noise of the vent and the noises of pots, pans and dishes than later on silver ware, it was not a pleasant atmosphere. In a cafeteria I would have expected that but not in that restaurant.

Family run Restaurant , great food and a great place to sit down and eat in a relaxed friendly atmosphere. Also good if you just want to grab a takeaway and go . Best Italian in the Kaiserslautern area on my opinion !
