Ciao Bella Winterhuder Fährhaus in Hamburg

A very good enrichment before going to the theater. Good and perfect service, quick dishes, everything on time and “to the minute”. Food was tasty prepared. Reservations are advisable as it is very busy before going to the theater. All in all: recommended.

Completely empty and the waiter tells you that you have to make a reservation. Then he left (he expected a big thank you from us) and it remained half empty. Food took a long time and wasn't typically Italian and wasn't particularly good. Other service is very nice and you sit there very nicely. But we won't be coming back. He probably doesn't need it either, only theater guests go there. Regulars probably don't need them.

01/25/25 Prices have been increased significantly. Are some price jumps justified? Or simply a windfall effect? My husband loved Spaghetti Salisiccia There was less sausage and the portion had shrunk despite the price increase We're thinking about looking for another restaurant after our next trip to the theater. We don't support nonsense Therefore one point deducted. There is now this great Italian restaurant right next to the Winterhuder Fährhaus. A cozy location, nice staff, good food, reasonable prices. It is a good idea to start and end the theater evening here. In summer you can sit outside

Essen und Service waren gut. Nur beim bezahlen müssen sie noch üben. Wer sich zuletzt meldet kommt zuerst dran. Es ist bekannt, die Besucher wollen in der Regel anschließend ins Theater. Es war trotzdem ein netter Abend. Wir kommen wieder.

I had previously eaten pizza slices at the other Chia Bella branches and really loved it. When I saw that there was also a real restaurant, I went to this branch in the hope of an equally great pizza - this time as a whole. To my surprise, however, the pizza was neither in taste nor in appearance like in the other branches. But the pesto spaghetti had a good and acceptable taste, and the staff was very friendly and polite.

Very nice service and a delicious lasange. We really liked it. Yesterday before going to the theater. We'll definitely do it again.

We were at the location for my husband's birthday. I generally don't take photos of my food. But it was well prepared and tasty. The waitress was very attentive and then we got a nightcap on the house. Thanks. We'll be back!

Will never order there again. I'm used to the Ciao Bella chain but the food was terribly bad. Wrong food (actually had penne special, it came with penne with tomato sauce and traces of chicken), cold lasagne.

Had a spontaneous meal there. With 2 waitresses, the restaurant was understaffed that evening... long waiting times overall... The waitresses were friendly but overwhelmed and poorly trained The food was so-so... there was salmon, pizza, carpaccio... due to the long waiting times we skipped dessert. Due to the lack of service, people also arrived after about 20 minutes. Waiting gone again. Overall, in my opinion, a lot of improvement is needed. The pizza in particular was very bland and lacked the stone oven taste... The Italian lemonade I ordered was disappointing... a glass full of ice with syrup at the bottom and water...

My wife and I went to this restaurant for the first time today. It took a while for the nice waitress to come to us, but she also served all by herself, both in the restaurant and outside, which is very strange for such a big restaurant. We observed that several guests left the restaurant because they had to wait so long. Unfortunately the food was very bad. My wife's pizza was completely black and burnt on the bottom and I had to send it back. Unfortunately my pizza wasn't fresh at all, it was quite clear that this pizza was just warmed up. The ambience in the restaurant looks nice, but the outdoor seating looked even more unkempt and uncomfortable. It is quite obvious that the owners of this restaurant have no idea about gastronomy. No matter how nice the service is, the quality of this restaurant is very poor.

There were four of us there at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, a third of the guests were there... so not much was going on. It took 15 minutes for the first starters and drinks to be ordered, then the main courses arrived after a good hour. Penne special, gnocci and salad were delicious, bolo served carelessly and with perhaps a teaspoon of mince. Some starter plates were not cleared and no waitress came to ask if everything was ok. It was also not possible to reorder drinks. Complaints about incorrect or non-existent ingredients could also be heard at the table next to you. If the shop is full before going to the theater, you have to work quickly hand in hand and say in advance which drinks and dishes " “out”. Unfortunately no tip was given this time.

Well, we had to wait 1.5 hours for some noodles even though the restaurant wasn't even 1/3 full... let's see how long we still have to wait... Poor number, especially if you have to go to the theater afterwards

The restaurant is conveniently located right next to the Winterhuder Fährhaus and is ideal for a nice meal before a visit to the theater. The food is a bit too expensive for me, but the quality is good and the atmosphere there is good. You could sit outside or inside. When it got busy we had trouble getting a waiter to pay, but that may have been a daytime problem.

good pizza, nice attentive service

I spontaneously grabbed a pizza with my friends. We were warmly welcomed and sat outside. After about 5 minutes the pizza arrived. The taste of the food was excellent. Overall, highly recommended.

Were there to eat at the Winterhuder Kai and saw that the location has completely changed, for the better. They were super nice, helpful and tolerant. We were there so late during the week...others have the kitchen closed. The pizzas were really good! 🫶🏼😍🫶🏼

We had pizza, salad and spaghetti aglio e olio. Everything is average, unfortunately you can't taste the Italian cuisine. Many other restaurants can do this much better. The pasta portion was rather small, a bit overcooked and completely without WOW (but spaghetti aglio e olio, if done well, can be a flavor hit!!), the salad was very tasty but unloving, the pizza topping was not as specified, but the rose was was good! Conclusion: Service tried hard, kitchen totally uninspired, Ciao Bella is also significantly too expensive for the quality it offers. Unfortunately we cannot recommend the restaurant.

A great restaurant with excellent service! The ambience is very inviting and cozy, just the right place to enjoy the evening. Pasta was a joke, super small portion, taste was also ZERO. There is no relationship between price and performance. Location is great. Terrace is quite uncomfortable. There is more potential. Service staff was also nice. But you still have to work on the courts.

We wanted to eat and drink something after a performance. Unfortunately, we were not told when making the reservation that there would be no food after 9 p.m. The waitress then brought the wrong drinks and wasn't really interested in us. That was the first and last time there.

Personal für Bestellungen war überfordert. Bei der Aufgabe von Bestellungen wurde darauf verwiesen das dass nur die Kollegen aufnehmen dürfen, die kamen aber nur nach mehrfacher Aufforderung. Personal war freundlich aber keine Kompetenzen, Führungsproblem.

We like to eat spicy food. The shrimp were so spicy that they were not edible. The waitress said unfriendly "then don't order spicy" Not recommendable.

Nettes Lokal mit gutem Service, leckerem Essen und Getränken, der Aperol Spritz war richtig gut! Nah am Parkhaus und am Theater.

Leider hatten wir Pech mit dem Essen. Für das was serviert wurde, stimmte das Preis- / Leistungsverhältnis nicht und es schmeckte auch nicht. Wir haben als Entschädigung einen Kaffee auf´ s Haus erhalten, leckeres Essen wäre uns lieber gewesen. Wir gehen nicht wieder hin.

Rarely am I as convinced about a restaurant as I was in this case! We were here in the early afternoon during the week and away from a performance in the adjacent Winterhuder Fährhaus. The service was great, quick, very nice and funny. We received our delicious food quickly and were able to enjoy it in a very nice atmosphere. We'll be new regulars here - here's to many more great meals!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Portionen gut (Lasagne, Bruschetta) Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und sympathisch. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Before going to the theater at the Winterhuder Fährhaus, my wife and I asked an employee at the neighboring Ciao Bella restaurant for a reservation after the theater visit. He told us that we wouldn't need one because the restaurant was open and there were enough seats available. After the theater visit, the same waitress told us and other visitors that the kitchen would be closed at 8:15 p.m. We had relied on the previous statement. We left the restaurant with complete incomprehension about this obvious lack of enthusiasm on the part of the staff.

Die Lage ist schön. Essen was so la la. Die '10 Gamberetti' waren ein Witz für den Preis, waren kalt, und nach der Beschwerde, einfach wieder heiß gemacht, und waren damit noch zäher. Auch winzig klein...absolut NICHT zu empfehlen!!! Die Gnocchis waren Fertiggnocchis. Bedienung war schleppend. Wir hatten auch Getränke für die Pause im Thater bestellet, sie waren nicht fertig und wir haben drauf verzichtet. Mit den 'selbstgemachten' Pizzabrötchen hätte man großzügiger sein können. Besonders frisch waren sie auch nicht.

Angenehmes Lokal mit schönem Ausblick. Netter Service, gutes Essen.

Wir würden schnell und kompetent bedient. Unsere Pizzen habe alle ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Wir waren mit allem sehr zufrieden und kommen bestimmt wieder.

Einfach schlecht! Personal sehr nett, das Essen geht überhaupt nicht. Geschirr dreckig.

Unfortunately no star is not possible... Today we were at Ciao Bella Winterhude for the first time. Unfortunately you couldn't convince us. When the drinks came we first had to complain about a very dirty glass, then we ordered a Pizza Diavolo, a Hawaii, a Salsiccia and a Vegetaria with vegan cheese. Unfortunately my Salsiccia also came with vegan cheese. Unfortunately, I don't like this slimy consistency at all and complained about it. I got a new pizza. But...the arugula was missing. I also complained about this, the statement....rocket is out, but you could have said it straight away. When I looked at my pizza (the arugula was obvious) I noticed that the tomatoes and peppers were also missing. There were also grilled mushrooms on the menu (which was also on the pizza that was complained about), and ungrilled fresh mushrooms on the pizza. All in all, 3 ingredients were missing from the pizza I complained about and one was wrong. After I complained about this we received 10% off the bill. Unfortunately, it doesn't matter if you don't get what you ordered. But the big hit was that when we went out we saw that there was arugula available because orders with arugula were being delivered. Really annoying. And no...unfortunately you won't be able to convince us next time because there won't be a next time. All in all, an average pizza at quite high prices with not great service. In the photo you as the owner can see whether this is what the Salsiccia should look like. Then it's better to say it's over and look for something else.

Were there as walk-in customers. Were greeted and served very nicely. The bowl was delicious.
