The beef fillet was particularly worth mentioning - it was simply delicious. The service was always friendly and attentive. We felt completely at home. The price-performance ratio is very good. Update 6.2.25 We were again very satisfied with our visit today. Starting with a warm welcome, about friendly and attentive service to a fantastic meal. We had another successful evening today and couldn't notice at all that the quality had decreased anywhere. Again, a 100% recommendation from us. A very good "Italian" with friendly staff and fantastic food. My pizza was super tasty, my husband and son had burgers and were thrilled. We had a really nice evening at ciao bella and can recommend the restaurant 100%. We would love to come back.

We were here on New Year's Eve 2024/2025 and had a good time.

You get a really tasty meal there. Whether pizza or pasta. Everything is super good. We'll definitely be back.

Update December 2024: Still the only restaurant in the Ostsee Resort Olpenitz, but unfortunately it has gotten worse. Aperol Spritz is very thinly mixed, delicious to eat but burgers carelessly slathered with sauce... That could be better, but whoever has the monopoly... Original review: Italian restaurant directly in the ORO. It's the only restaurant on site and therefore has a monopoly. Based on the other reviews, we didn't come here with high expectations. But we were absolutely surprised. Great ambience, the restaurant is stylishly decorated, the chairs are comfortable, you feel really comfortable. The bar and kitchen are open and invite you to observe ;-) The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, not all the ingredients for all the cocktails on the menu were there that evening, but that can happen. We ordered pizza. This was simply delicious and exactly how you would want a pizza. Great base, fresh and plentiful and nice and big. We'll definitely come back here! We ate here again, this time burgers. This time there were also all cocktails... ;) Burgers are very tasty! Add the potatoes, freshly prepared and also a delight. Prices are high here but it's still ok. Tiramisu is very tasty, the pana cotta is a little different to what we usually know. The service was again very friendly, we were paid quickly, everything was great!

We had food to pick up (pizza PIZZA SALSICCIA PICCANTE, PROSCIUTTO, PROSCIUTTO without cheese and lasagna. Food was very tasty, but we only realized later that we had been ripped off by the waitress for 20 euros because we were in a hurry. ..instead of 41.xx we also got 64.xx euros in change...we didn't get a receipt...

Price-performance is absolutely not right! Small quantities and only finished products are used in the pasta. Not recommended…

Despite the full house, service was quick and the waiting time for our food was acceptable. Excellent pizza, my pasta with beef strips was very tasty, the meat was tender. Price performance very good. Gladly again.

Unfortunately, a typical case of “I don't have to make an effort because we don't value regular customers, but live off vacationers who often only come once one way or another.” My salad only had a little dressing on top, but unfortunately the bottom was not cooked no dressing and you only ate raw salad, then unfortunately I also had a red onion peel on my plate. The pizza had a lot of toppings, tasted ok, but wasn't really crispy and no reason to come back. Unfortunately we were only served 5 of 6 dishes together and the missing pizza came when the first person had already finished eating, I always think that's a shame, especially because pizza was served at the same time at the surrounding tables, I suspect the missing pizza was simply forgotten If you communicate like that, you will have more understanding than if you wait 15 minutes without information and end up eating alone with 5 others watching you eat. The ambience and service were ok, but I probably won't come back.

Since we are on holiday in Olpenitz for a week, we went to Ciao Bella on the first evening after arriving. We received a very friendly welcome, the service was great and our children also felt welcome. Right from the start they were given pens and pictures to color in. The food was served very quickly. We had pizza, pasta and also pizza rolls. We can definitely recommend these dishes! The ingredients were fresh, the pizza dough was very tasty and everything was beautifully prepared. Since we really liked it, we visited the restaurant again during our vacation.

We were here on New Year's Eve. Despite the full restaurant, the staff was extremely friendly, the food was good and we felt very welcome.

We were looking forward to this meal and the evening. We had a reservation but the table wasn't available. After some back and forth we got a seat. As an apology there was a glass of Prosecco. OK! The starter was good. Then came the main course: beef fillet with rosemary potatoes and aioli. Things turned out differently. The presumably beef fillet was accompanied by a few lettuce leaves and some antipasti and a sweet lemon cream. When I asked, I received the answer from the restaurant manager: Didn't anyone tell you that potatoes were out? I felt ripped off. Why not be honest about what is missing? Then I would have had the opportunity to choose something else. A competitor is probably missing to avoid such situations!

The service staff are very attentive and the food was delicious even on the second visit (once for two and once for five)…

Beer was stale a new one should come as an apology but that didn't happen either The waiter wasn't in a good mood today either

Far and wide the only decent restaurant in Olpenitz

We go regularly on the first evening when we are in the Olpenitz resort for a week. The food is delicious and of high quality. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The location at the harbor is great in summer as you can also sit outside.

As in summer, very tasty food ☺️! The staff is always very friendly. We were welcome even with a slightly larger dog. Always happy 🙂‍↔️

...on a Friday evening with 2 dogs you can sit at a table - ideal for the dogs - and get water for both of them straight away... and for guests without dogs I can only say: the food is so delicious; It was a shame that we had to leave the next day, we would definitely have gone to Ciao Bella again

Are here on vacation and have eaten at Ciao Bella several times or just had a drink, Everything just fits, Mega friendly team, food and ambience perfect. Keep it up or rather stay as you are, We'll definitely be back 😊

The bottom of the lasagna was completely black (!) and tasted burnt. Unripe, thick tomato slices, a mozzarella dumpling and a little rocket with a splash of vinegar and oil - carelessly slapped together. Spaghetti with huge pieces of Italian sausage, but the taste was okay. Conclusion: Unfortunately we don’t recommend it.

We ate there three times. The food is extremely tasty (we had different pasta twice and pizza once and can highly recommend everything). The staff is very nice and attentive. We can only recommend the restaurant. :-)

Very tasty food and nice service. Unfortunately, one drink was brought to the table incorrectly and one was not served at all. That can definitely happen and it's not that bad, but that's why it's "only" 4.5/5 stars. The spaghetti carbonara was really excellent and had an acceptable price/performance ratio

After we had already been to Ciao Bella once and everything went wrong during the visit, we of course gave the restaurant another chance after discussing it with the operator. So we were there for a birthday dinner, the reserved table had birthday greetings on it, the service and the food were very good, we were completely satisfied and would love to come back!

If you order your pizza with a little hot oil, it will be added directly in the kitchen. Unfortunately, in such quantities that the pizza was almost inedible afterwards. When I asked the waiter why no oil was brought to the table, I was told that oil was very spicy and the customer usually couldn't judge this. Well - apparently neither does the cook. Too bad. However, the ice cream was very tasty.

We often had delicious meals here during our vacation at the resort. The service is always very courteous and you never have to wait longer than 25 minutes for your food. However, the prices are much more expensive than in more comparable restaurants. Home delivery of food always works well.

An alternative directly in the Olpenitz holiday resort to all the restaurants in Kappeln. Good service, good food; Prices, however, tend to be higher than usual (result of the monopoly position?). However, the resort's discount card is accepted there with a -5% discount

We really enjoyed our stay at Ciao Bella. We visited with our family of nine people from three generations and everyone got their money's worth: special requests for the little ones, smaller portions for the seniors, delicious bowls for the "nutrition-conscious" posed no problems for the Ciao Bella team We felt very comfortable here, especially with our four-year-old twins and their strong need to communicate, because the atmosphere seemed extremely family-friendly to us. And most importantly: the food was delicious!

The food came very quickly and is beautifully prepared and tasty. Very, very nice and helpful staff. The ambience was very pleasant and beautifully decorated. The menu is one of the best menus I've ever had with many unique and special dishes. The dessert (tiramisu) was perfect on point For everyone in the area there is definitely a restaurant where you have to visit.

Great restaurant in the Olpenitz Resort. You can eat on site or order to be picked up. We tested both and were satisfied. The food is visibly freshly prepared in the open kitchen. The service is very friendly and quick. Prices have increased noticeably compared to 2033, especially drinks. The ambience is appropriate, but moderately comfortable due to the density of tables. It fits.

Everything was great, we were warmly welcomed and greeted. Even though the restaurant and the outdoor dining area were full, they took their time to serve us. The food was very well prepared and tasted wonderful.

First of all, this large pizzeria has a great location with a direct view of the Olpenitz harbor basin. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food (pizza and pasta) was absolutely delicious, rich and definitely worth the money. We'll be back.

The pizza and burger were very tasty. The burger buns/buns in particular were nicely seasoned and had a good consistency. The price is a little too high but all in all still recommended. :-)

We will never order food here again! We've had it several times before that things sometimes go wrong when ordering, but this time it went too far!! At first there was a small black hair in my carbonara, after stirring twice there was a big insect on my spoon We called them to complain but no one answered!

We were there twice. The first time the food was really good and great, the second time the shrimp tasted a bit strange and my girlfriend had two short black hairs in her food. We told the staff and got 50% off a €26 dish. I actually know that in this case the food is taken off the bill. I think 13€ for a meal that had hair in it and three forks of it were eaten was cheeky. Of course, the staff can't help it, but management should think about the regulations in such cases.

We stayed at ORO for 13 days and at Ciao Bella about every 2 days. The service was very accommodating. The food was always good. Considering that they have a unique position here and have to deal with a lot of guests, we were very positively surprised by the friendliness and quality.

Had a spontaneous meal with the dog last night. The food was super tasty and the portions were generous. The prices are reasonable. You can bring your dog with you without hesitation. The waiters are so fond of dogs. I can only recommend eating there.

Visiting a restaurant with three children. The waitress was there quickly to take the order. Another employee brought drinks, but with the wrong drinks!! An hour later, part of the food order arrived, unfortunately including the wrong food. The pizzas for the children only came when asked and only one and then the second one 10 minutes later! Salad was not appealing and the taste was not an achievement for an upscale restaurant. Gnnochi was in an off-white sauce with overcooked tomatoes and spinach. Pasta Bolognese was okay, I just wished there was a small bowl of cheese. Kids pizza okay! The staff just ran around chaotically, they were clearly overwhelmed by the many guests! Since we had to wait a long time, we had time to observe what was happening in the restaurant. At the time of the shooting there were only three open toilets, where there was no toilet paper, the trash can overflowed and apparently no staff was responsible for this problem. Conclusion: price performance is a disaster and it would be desirable to think about how it works better. I also don’t accept a “shortage of skilled workers” because the price of the products is very high! Too bad!

Food and service were excellent. Unfortunately the stove broke down in the kitchen and some guests had to wait a while for the pasta, but alternatives were offered to everyone and an additional 20% discount on the food. Top

Nice shop, food good but a bit expensive. But that's to be expected in a resort.

We have been there for the second time now. It's nice to sit at the harbor with the option of a beach chair. However, the prices are outrageously expensive. The portion was also very small and it didn't taste particularly good either. Despite asking several times if we could still have chili, we were told yes, but no one came. We also found the scoop of ice cream for €2.50, which is not particularly large, very expensive. However, the ice cream tastes very good. We won't make a third attempt.

We were there twice. Once for ice cream and the other time we ate spaghetti “Gamberoni” and a salad with feta. Just great both times. Good food and nice service. The only criticism: a bit too expensive; for food and drinks (wheat beer for over 6 euros)

I was satisfied but I don't recommend lasagne. It's too much cheese, too much bolognese and you might think that no pasta plates were used and besciamel was also missing.

Unfortunately, expensive doesn't necessarily mean good food here. Pizza is a complete non-starter in terms of taste. Anyone who gives 5 stars here is suffering from a taste error.

We had reserved a table for 9 people. We got one for 10, which meant enough space, including for a child's chair and stroller. The food came quickly, we were served very nicely, and the 4 children also had their time ordering. The food was delicious and we felt welcome even with a baby.

Honestly, it's unbelievable, the waiting times were exaggeratedly long, not only did we have to return the coke, the next table also asked where the carbon dioxide was hidden, the waiter said after asking, the system had just been changed, so no coke, but from a dispenser Water with taste, the bruscetta was something you shouldn't describe as that, the bread was old, not only from the same day that it had been lying around for a long time, but I'm leaning way out of the window and thinking it had already been lying there for 3 days... After 1 1/2 hours of waiting, one dish came out of 4 orders, a salad... not eaten... the other 3 dishes were simply forgotten, after repeated inquiries they kept saying it would be coming soon... I'm still waiting today... I/we are not spoiled or want to do anyone wrong here but this is the first day of vacation, perfect day, intended to end in the evening, unfortunately a complete failure, never again!

This restaurant is just very good. Had dinner there with my family on August 6th, 2024. My wife and children each ordered a pizza special and I had the pasta with shrimp. You could see that the pizza was handmade. The dough was great and the ingredients were fresh. The pasta was a highlight in itself. This was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. The consistency of the ingredients was great. I recommend the restaurant at any time.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Well-organized team who, despite the full house, brought the food and cocktails to the table in a relaxed manner without a long wait. Pizza tasted excellent, even if the ingredients came from the commercial kitchen. The same applies to the cocktails. About the ambience: Ciao Bella does the best it can for such a large number of diverse guests. With a direct view of the small harbor you can also enjoy your meal outside. The only downside is the surroundings, which are paved with sterile hotel facilities and exude the out-of-place tourist charm of American motels.

The taste of the food was okay. The portion of "Tortellini alla Panna" was far too small even for our daughter and therefore definitely too expensive at almost 16 euros. It was about picking up a meal.

Great kitchen, the kitchen is visible to everyone, so that the clean/hygienic preparation of the food can be “controlled” by all guests. Dishes have nothing to do with Italian cuisine - pizza and pasta don't taste good. Price/performance ratio is not okay - €17 for a tuna pizza, which consists of “cake dough” and lots of cheese, is outrageous. Service was friendly, but only half understood German.

Despite making a reservation by phone, we were not on the list when we arrived at the restaurant. But they tried to find a place for us quickly. We had to wait 2 hours for our food. Full of anticipation, we were unfortunately disappointed across the board. The pizzas were soggy and no trace of spices. The noodles were overcooked and had no taste whatsoever. Everything tasted bland. The burger was ordered medium and of course it was done. We expected much more for the exorbitant prices. 1 star is only given for the friendliness of the service. I couldn't even begin to give one for the food. Creepy....
