Christofs Restaurant in Bedburg

Ein Steak war so zäh, dass man es wirklich nicht beißen konnte. Es gab eine sehr akzeptable Lösung dafür. So muss es einfach sein! Der nächste Besuch ist schon geplant.

Wir (5 Personen) waren wie immer sehr zufrieden.

Super freundlich, super schnell und super lecker. Ich kann das Christofs uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen zumal es dort auch meine beiden Lieblingsweine (Trenz und Lugana Dei Frati) gibt 😊

Jeder Besuch ist eine Auszeit vom Alltag, dafür sorgt nicht nur das fabelhafte Essen ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ oder das super freundliche Personal, sondern auch die Lage sorgt dafür und lädt zum flanieren ein.

Essen war sehr lecker, Service war aufmerksam. Es war sehr voll, daher hat es leider sehr lange gedauert. 3 Gänge in 3 Std. ist zu lang.

Sehr schöne Location mitten in der historischen Altstadt. Schneller Service und sehr nette Mitarbeiter. Sehr gerne wieder.

Das Essen war super. Wenn man hier in der Gegend gut essen gehen möchte, dann liegt das Christofs weit vorne. Der Service ist klasse und die Leute sind nett und aufmerksam. Kleiner Abzug bei der Atmosphäre, weil die Tische sehr nah beieinander stehen und man die Gespräche am Nachbartisch hören kann. Das ist allerdings meckern auf hohem Niveau. Wir gehen sehr gerne dorthin. Die Preise sind im oberen Level, aber die Leistung dafür stimmt. Ist halt etwas Besonderes.

Alle Speisen waren auf den Punkt und köstlich. Wir lieben die Art wie im Christofs gekocht und Gastronomie gelebt wird. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Danke an das gesamte Team.

Meine Fischsuppe war eine riesen Enttäuschung. Fisch wie Gummi, langweilig im Geschmack, dazu halb verbranntes Brot. Der Service war unflexibel. An unserem Tisch war jeder mit irgendetwas nicht zufrieden, das ist bestimmt kein Zufall.

Die Vegane Küche ist sehr zu empfehlen ! Hervorragendes Essen!

Wir hatten einen wundervollen Abend in diesem Restaurant. Das Ambiente war stilvoll und gemütlich zugleich – man hat sich vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Der Service war außergewöhnlich aufmerksam, freundlich und stets präsent, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Das Essen war einfach grandios: perfekt angerichtet, geschmacklich hervorragend und mit viel Liebe zum Detail zubereitet. Jeder Gang war ein echtes Highlight. Insgesamt ein rundum gelungenes Erlebnis, das wir definitiv wiederholen werden. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wunderschönes Restaurant mit traumhafter Küche und sehr nettem und aufmerksamen Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen,wir haben eine neue Reservierung vorgenommen. Wir waren Freitags vor Ort und das Lokal sehr gut besucht und hatten einen reservierter Tisch im oberen Bereich rechts des Lokals . Leider war der Geräuchpegel dort sehr hoch,sodass eine Unterhaltung etwas anstrengend war. Der einzige Minuspunkt. Eine Bereicherung für den Erftkreis 👍👍👍

Sehr gutes Essen, alles regional frisch hergestellt. Des Service ist unserer Meinung nach verschlüsselt, aber stets bemüht und sehr freundlich. Was allerdings schade ist, dass Informationen die notwendig sind wie wenn sie noch Nachtisch möchten. Bestellen Sie jetzt weil ab Uhrzeit… Ist dies nicht mehr möglich nicht vorgenommen werden sprich fehlen. Somit ist man mitten im Flow, dass man nachmittags um 15:00 Uhr nach dem Mittagessen keinen Nachtisch mehr bestellen kann. Zum Beispiel. Aber ansonsten ein empfehlenswertes Restaurant

Die Spargelcremesuppe ist sehr gut. Der Burger ist leider nicht so toll. Etwas klein geraten. Auch geschmacklich ist noch Luft nach oben. Die Pommes sind okay, aber eine Portion sehr klein. Die veganen Spaghetti waren geschmacklich gut, aber auch zu wenig. Das Steak mit Pommes und dem kleinen Salat ist in anderen Restaurants in der Nähe besser. Aioli ist lecker. Zu teuer für das was man bekommt. Preis/Leistung naja… Das Auge ist bekanntlich mit. Wir hatten auch eine bessere Präsentation erwartet. Da die Bewertungen alle ja sehr viel versprachen.

Wir wurden freundlich begrüsst, und wurden zum Tisch gebracht.Meiner Meinung nach stehen die Tische teilweise so eng zusammen das man den anderen Leuten zuhören kann. Die Speisen sind nett zubereitet, geschmackvoll und sehr lecker. Meine Frau hat ein Veganes Gericht gegessen, und Ich hatte einen Burger. Beides war sehr nett zubereitet und angerichtet. Der Burger war mir selbst einen Tick zu rot, was ich auch angesprochen habe. Es ist mir bewusst, das es hochwertiges Fleisch ist, aber vorher nachfragen ob Medium oder Well Done könnte spätere Kritik vermeiden. Das soll bitte nicht als Kritik, sondern als Vorschlag verstanden werden. Fazit: Die Speisen waren optisch nett angerichtet, waren im ganzen recht lecker. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist schon etwas hoch, aber wir kommen wieder.

Essen top, gemütliche Location. Gerne wieder!

Wir reisen von weiter an, um bei Christof zu essen. So viele leckere und besondere Gerichte. Auch vegetarisch. Hier wird mit Liebe gekocht, dekoriert und serviert. Unbedingt vorher einen Tisch reservieren.

Wir waren jetzt das zweite Mal da. Die Kellnerinnen sind maßlos überfordert und auch leider überhaupt nicht freundlich. Wir hatten einen Tisch für draußen reserviert , dies wurde aber leider nicht durchgeführt. Haben dann mit ach und Krach noch einen Tisch bekommen nachdem uns gesagt wurde man schaut nach der Bestellung , man uns dann aber weiter links liegen lässt. Haben uns dann einfach an einen Tisch gesetzt. 3 Bedienungen laufen dort durcheinander raus und rein und keine einzige bekommt es hin einen mal anzusprechen oder wenigstens mal die Tageszeit zu sagen. Wir wollten dann essen bestellen was aber dann erst ab 16:30 ging. Waren dann schon enttäuscht weil wir den Tisch um 16 Uhr bestellt hatten und laut Google auch von 12 Uhr an Geöffnet war. Haben dann sehr enttäuscht mir Getränke bestellt. Als diese dann nach 10 min immer noch nicht da waren , bin ich rein gegangen und habe diese abbestellt und wir sind gegangen. Es ist sehr schade weil es nicht die erste Erfahrung dieser Art dort war. Die Bedienungen waren beim ersten Mal leider sich so. Keiner heißt einen willkommen oder kümmert sich wenn man vorne steht und wartet weil man sich nicht einfach setzen will aus Angst das man evtl. was falsch macht dann.

Nachdem wir nur Gutes von Christofs gehört hatten, waren wir heute zum ersten Mal da. Vorab: Die Vorspeise (Mango-Erdnuss-Garnelen) waren super lecker und echt schön angerichtet. Auch die Bärlauch Fettuccine waren sehr lecker. Leider gibt es einige Sachen, die den Besuch für uns echt unschön gemacht haben: Als wir reinkamen hat man uns nicht auf die Tageskarte aufmerksam gemacht. Ein bestelltes Bolten kam nicht richtig gekühlt und mit zu wenig Kohlensäure. Wir haben eine Flasche Sprudelwasser bestellt - auch ohne wirkliche Kohlensäure. Als die Hauptspeise kam mussten wir feststellen, dass der Burger schon fast kalt aus der Küche kam. Der Käse war nicht geschmolzen und das obere Burgerbun verbrannt. Der Burger war außerdem so zusammengestellt, dass man ihn nicht richtig schneiden konnte (Coleslaw ganz unten, sodass alles darüber hin und her rutschte). Zu den Süßkartoffelpommes (sehr lecker) hatten wir eine Chili-Mayo bestellt. Die kam in einem halbvollen, kleinen Marmeladenglas, das so klein war, dass von vorne rein klar war, dass es zu wenig Mayo zu der Menge Pommes war. Leider kam während unserer ganzen Hauptspeisezeit niemand vorbei um nach uns zu schauen. Auch Getränke konnten wir so leider nicht nachbestellen. Ich habe mich dann irgendwann entschlossen zur Rezeption zu gehen um Mayo nachzubestellen, weil wir so lange gewartet haben, dass jemand kam. Nun zur größten Dreistigkeit: als wir gefragt wurden ob es geschmeckt hat, sagte ich, dass das leider nicht der Fall war bei mir und führte die Begründung an, dass der Burger kalt und der Käse nicht geschmolzen war. Weiter kam ich nicht, weil die Bedienung mir über den Mund fuhr mit dem Vorwurf ich hätte vorher etwas sagen sollen. Als ich sie darauf aufmerksam machte, dass ja die ganze Zeit niemand vorbei kam, entgegnete sie nur ich hätte es ja auch geschafft für weitere Mayo aufzustehen. Die ganze Konversation wurde dann mit den Worten „Na gut, wollt ihr Nachtisch?“ abgebügelt. Nein - den kostenlosen Nachtisch wollten wir nach so einem Verhalten von der Bedienung auch nicht haben. Es ist wirklich unglaublich schade, dass fehlender Service und eine schroffe, unfreundliche Art des Hauses uns diesen Aufenthalt so ruiniert haben. Wäre es nur der Burger gewesen, wären wir sicher wieder gekommen. So aber nicht.

Der Service am Tisch war etwas schleppend, alles Andere war super. Immer wieder!

Kleine aber feine Speisekarte. Wir waren zu dritt hier und hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte. Vom Thunfischtatar, über die Cashewpastete, Thunfischsteak, Lammcaree und frischen Spargel ...alles hevoragend. Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier und kommen garantiert wieder.

Das Essen ist wirklich super lecker. Ich freue mich, dass es sowohl für mich eine vegane Auswahl gibt sowie für meinen Mann Vegetarisch, Fisch oder Fleisch. So breit aufgestellt zu sein - in einer extrem guten Qualität - bekommen leider immer noch nicht viele Restaurants hin. Um gut vegan essen zu können, musste ich bisher immer in rein vegane Restaurants gehen, dass war dann aber immer doof für den Rest der Gruppe. Hier schafft man es für jede Zielgruppe etwas anzubieten. In der Ecke hat es mir leider ein bisschen gezogen, aber ansonsten war einfach alles super. Auch die Mitarbeiterinnen sind extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Für uns ist das Christofs zu einem Lieblingsrestaurant geworden.

Ganz tolle Atmosphäre und gutes Ambiente.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal im Restaurant Christof essen und sind absolut begeistert! Als Veganer ist es oft nicht selbstverständlich, eine so vielfältige und durchdachte Auswahl zu finden – hier wurden wir jedoch mehr als positiv überrascht. Die veganen Gerichte waren nicht nur kreativ zusammengestellt, sondern auch geschmacklich herausragend. Ehrlich gesagt war es eines der leckersten Essen, das ich je in einem Restaurant gegessen habe. Man merkt sofort, wie viel Wert auf Qualität und Geschmack gelegt wird. Ein rundum tolles Erlebnis – wir kommen definitiv wieder und können das Restaurant allen (nicht nur Veganern!) wärmstens empfehlen.

We were your guests again on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. I chose the vegan menu, not because I'm vegan, but simply because I wanted to try it. Last week I had the cauliflower steak and loved it, and the menu was just as delicious. So tasty... even without meat. My wife had the lamb, and our daughter and her husband had the Düsseldorf mustard roast beef. Everyone was delighted, as always. The waitresses were also very friendly and competent. Very good food in a nice atmosphere

The food is excellent, the prices have increased accordingly, but are still reasonable. Although we've been there several times before, we knew the new service team and were pleasantly surprised. Overall, a lovely evening.

The food was good. That's where the positives end... We weren't really acknowledged. We had to wait over half an hour before we could order drinks after finally being seated. It was overcrowded, and the tables were too close together, so you couldn't help but overhear conversations from the next table. It felt like we were ignored when we waved for a server. We also had to wait 40 minutes for the bill because, supposedly, the coffee machine was broken... and a lot of coffee was served during those 40 minutes... We won't be going back here. For the price, it was an absolute disgrace.

A small, young, and modern restaurant in the rustic old town setting of Alt-Kaster. The menu changes at least monthly, plus there's a varied daily specials menu. Everyone will find something to their liking, and no one will be disappointed. Everything is freshly prepared to a high standard. The service is exceptionally friendly and always has a joke ready. Highly recommended!

More than convinced. Will be among my favorites.

We've been to Christofs several times and have always been satisfied. This time, they had already run out of vitello tonnato by 6 pm, so we had to resort to an appetizer with glass noodles, which we didn't particularly enjoy. For our main courses, we ordered one spinach dumpling (four small dumplings in butter with a few spinach leaves on top for €19.50) and one pork tenderloin (three very small pieces of tenderloin with cream sauce and a bit of gratin, plus a salad for €28.50). The food tasted okay, but there was something unidentifiable and hard in one of the dumplings. When we complained, they said the dumpling had simply been heated for too long (seriously?!). We didn't want the hassle and just accepted it. Regarding the pork tenderloin dish, we have to say the price-performance ratio wasn't right. We also didn't like the presentation of the food on a dark red plate. A lighter-colored plate would at least improve the presentation, but that's a matter of taste, of course. The two affogatos we ordered instead of dessert were complimentary as compensation. Overall, we were disappointed.

It was, as always, a pleasure and a delight! The March meat/fish menu was incredibly delicious and varied. We're already looking forward to the next time.

Excellent cuisine, monthly changing menu and daily specials available, very good value for money, staff always very friendly and attentive.

The value for money is unfortunately completely off! We ordered an appetizer platter, a Wiener Schnitzel, and three portions of the Düsseldorf-style mustard roast beef. The food was presented without any care, and the meat from one of the mustard roast beef portions (€36.50 per portion) was inedible and almost impossible to cut with the provided steak knife. It was clearly a tough end piece, which was also visibly cut against the grain. After informing the server, the owner came to the table and explained to me that the meat appeared perfectly cooked, repeating this over and over again. I hadn't even questioned it! Finally, I was offered a small schnitzel, or, if I preferred, a dessert or a spirit. The owner's agitated, persistent, and loud behavior completely ruined what had been a pleasant atmosphere. We just wanted some peace and quiet. My guests were also very unpleasantly surprised by the situation. A real shame.

Nice place, both inside and out. Friendly service. And good food.

We visited Christof's in the heart of Alt-Kaster with good friends and spent a lovely few hours there. The dishes (appetizer, main course, dessert) were not only visually appealing but also tasted fantastic. The attentive and friendly service deserves special mention. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We will definitely be back.

We were warmly welcomed by the owner himself and treated to excellent food, incredibly friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Even with about 30 people, the food was absolutely perfect! Great selection, top quality, and creative dishes! There's something for everyone here. The Kaiserschmarren (shredded pancake) is especially delicious. Next time I'll try the spinach dumplings. 😌

The food is excellent, and the daily specials are always worth checking out. When the restaurant is very busy, the service is sometimes stretched to its limits, but still good and attentive. It's very noisy when the restaurant is full; something could be done to reduce the noise.

The prices have always been higher than the portions, but in my opinion, they are no longer justifiable. €36 for a mustard roast is too much.

The food was very creative and delicious! The other dishes on offer were also exceptional, and what the next table was eating looked fantastic! I found the decor very tasteful, stylish, and cozy. The only downside was that it was quite noisy in the main dining room at times. Next time—and we'll definitely be back—we'll book a table in one of the side rooms.

First time at Christofs in Alt-Kaster – we were impressed! From the outside, it's a real eye-catcher in the beautiful old town, and inside it's incredibly cozy. Our visit to Christof's Restaurant left nothing to be desired. The atmosphere is very cozy with beautiful furnishings and decor. The noise level was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide selection, so there's something for everyone, including several vegetarian and vegan options (clearly marked). There was also a vegan option among the daily specials. The food was truly delicious, creative, and the portion sizes were perfect—we each shared an appetizer and a dessert and ordered our own main course, which was ideal for us. The coffee was also very good. We come from Cologne and have a great many restaurants to choose from here—but we'll definitely be making the trip to Bedburg again in the future. :-) We had a really lovely evening, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality.

The Wiener Schnitzel was very good, however it cost €35 in the restaurant, even though the website listed it as €29. Kind regards.

After an interesting medieval tour of Alt Kaster, my husband and I enjoyed delicious appetizers from the blackboard at the cozy and tastefully decorated Christof's (sweet potato fritters and fried Brussels sprouts), and we both ordered the "mini" Wiener Schnitzel for our main course! Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous! The restaurant seems to be very popular, as it was quite busy, and guests without reservations had to wait! A good sign, we think, and highly recommended! A trip to Alt Kaster is definitely worthwhile, especially combined with a walk around the lake after lunch – a lovely way to end the day.

As always, it's pricey, but the taste is consistently delicious. The ambiance is also something truly special...an architectural highlight in Alt Kaster. Cozy and unique. Always a pleasure...

We opted for the Advent menu this time and were unfortunately disappointed. At €85, we expected a higher level of service. (One course was forgotten at our table; other tables were told what they were being served, but we weren't.) The food itself wasn't very good either. The potato side dish with the main course was very dry, the chestnut soup tasted only of apple, and the dessert tart was inconsistent, sometimes with a molten center and sometimes completely dry.

We had the Christmas menu, seven courses, beautifully prepared and presented. Excellent service and the lovely ambiance rounded off the evening. I highly recommend Christofs.

Great atmosphere, very friendly staff and great food.

The food was fantastic, as always. Service was always attentive and friendly. The atmosphere was very cozy and lovely.

This was our third time there, and each time it was simply perfect.

As expected, another wonderful evening: excellent food, perfectly paired wines with every course. Exceptionally friendly service. And this despite a full house, following a wedding party earlier that day. At Christofs, they operate professionally at a very high level.

Unfortunately, our Christmas dinner was only partially successful. The two goose dinners were good, but the dumplings were too firm. The rabbit dish was partly cold, and the tiny portion of Brussels sprouts was very hard. The lasagna wasn't tasty. Overall, none of us left feeling full. Oil or bread wasn't served beforehand either. Nevertheless, we wish you a Merry Christmas.
