My favorite restaurant in Bedburg! Excellent food, attentive service, lovely atmosphere.

The value for money is unfortunately completely off! We ordered an appetizer platter, a Wiener Schnitzel, and three portions of the Düsseldorf-style mustard roast beef. The food was presented without any care, and the meat from one of the mustard roast beef portions (€36.50 per portion) was inedible and almost impossible to cut with the provided steak knife. It was clearly a tough end piece, which was also visibly cut against the grain. After informing the server, the owner came to the table and explained to me that the meat appeared perfectly cooked, repeating this over and over again. I hadn't even questioned it! Finally, I was offered a small schnitzel, or, if I preferred, a dessert or a spirit. The owner's agitated, persistent, and loud behavior completely ruined what had been a pleasant atmosphere. We just wanted some peace and quiet. My guests were also very unpleasantly surprised by the situation. A real shame.

I wish I could give even more stars!! We had a family celebration at Christofs and it was fantastic! We were warmly welcomed by the owner himself and treated to excellent food, incredibly friendly service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Even with about 30 people, the food was absolutely perfect! We visited Christof's in the heart of Alt-Kaster with good friends and spent a lovely few hours there. The dishes (appetizer, main course, dessert) were not only visually appealing but also tasted fantastic. The attentive and friendly service deserves special mention. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We will definitely be back.

The food is excellent, and the daily specials are always worth checking out. When the restaurant is very busy, the service is sometimes stretched to its limits, but still good and attentive. It's very noisy when the restaurant is full; something could be done to reduce the noise.

The prices have always been higher than the portions, but in my opinion, they are no longer justifiable. €36 for a mustard roast is too much.

The food was very creative and delicious! The other dishes on offer were also exceptional, and what the next table was eating looked fantastic! I found the decor very tasteful, stylish, and cozy. The only downside was that it was quite noisy in the main dining room at times. Next time—and we'll definitely be back—we'll book a table in one of the side rooms.

Christofs is a lovely restaurant with very friendly staff and delicious food. We were greeted with sparkling wine and felt very welcome. And of course, the restaurant is beautifully situated in our historic old town in Kaster. 👍🏼🙂

Our visit to Christof's Restaurant left nothing to be desired. The atmosphere is very cozy with beautiful furnishings and decor. The noise level was very pleasant. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The menu offers a wide selection, so there's something for everyone, including several vegetarian and vegan options (clearly marked). There was also a vegan option among the daily specials. The food was truly delicious, creative, and the portion sizes were perfect—we each shared an appetizer and a dessert and ordered our own main course, which was ideal for us. The coffee was also very good. We come from Cologne and have a great many restaurants to choose from here—but we'll definitely be making the trip to Bedburg again in the future. :-) We had a really lovely evening, and the prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality.

After an interesting medieval tour of Alt Kaster, my husband and I enjoyed delicious appetizers from the blackboard at the cozy and tastefully decorated Christof's (sweet potato fritters and fried Brussels sprouts), and we both ordered the "mini" Wiener Schnitzel for our main course! Everything was delicious, and the portions were generous! The restaurant seems to be very popular, as it was quite busy, and guests without reservations had to wait! A good sign, we think, and highly recommended! A trip to Alt Kaster is definitely worthwhile, especially combined with a walk around the lake after lunch – a lovely way to end the day.

As always, it's pricey, but the taste is consistently delicious. The ambiance is also something truly special...an architectural highlight in Alt Kaster. Cozy and unique. Always a pleasure...

We opted for the Advent menu this time and were unfortunately disappointed. At €85, we expected a higher level of service. (One course was forgotten at our table; other tables were told what they were being served, but we weren't.) The food itself wasn't very good either. The potato side dish with the main course was very dry, the chestnut soup tasted only of apple, and the dessert tart was inconsistent, sometimes with a molten center and sometimes completely dry.

We had the Christmas menu, seven courses, beautifully prepared and presented. Excellent service and the lovely ambiance rounded off the evening. I highly recommend Christofs.

As expected, another wonderful evening: excellent food, perfectly paired wines with every course. Exceptionally friendly service. And this despite a full house, following a wedding party earlier that day. At Christofs, they operate professionally at a very high level.

Unfortunately, our Christmas dinner was only partially successful. The two goose dinners were good, but the dumplings were too firm. The rabbit dish was partly cold, and the tiny portion of Brussels sprouts was very hard. The lasagna wasn't tasty. Overall, none of us left feeling full. Oil or bread wasn't served beforehand either. Nevertheless, we wish you a Merry Christmas.

We sat in the front section, which was very pleasant. The ambiance is lovely. However, the tables in the upper right section seemed very cramped. The service was attentive, very friendly, and personal. Regarding the food: Sunday, 5:00 PM: The roast goose leg was already sold out. This dish was the main reason for our reservation. As an alternative, we ordered the goose burger, which was only tasty on the second try because the bottom patty of the first burger was completely burnt and therefore inedible. Venison loin with celery puree and Brussels sprouts. Everything was very tasty, although the Brussels sprouts could have been seasoned more creatively. However, I found the portion size a bit meager for the price. Our conclusion: We were satisfied, but not completely impressed. At €108.00 for two people, we expected more.

We were invited there for a three-course birthday meal, so we can't really comment on the price. Wow! The food was simply fantastic, from the appetizer to the dessert. The service was also very quick, despite our large group. The only downside is the somewhat inconvenient parking. However, there's a large parking lot 5-10 minutes away. If we're ever in Bedburg again, we'll definitely eat there again.

Top restaurant, I'd say so honestly. One of the few restaurants where you can order everything from the menu, without exception, and it's delicious. You should be aware that this is a more upscale restaurant.

On the recommendation of a colleague, we visited here for the first time with five people. Our expectations were more than exceeded. For our vegan family member, there was such a large selection of special dishes that it was difficult to decide. There was even a vegan menu, which would otherwise be a long search. But everyone else could also choose from a manageable, yet excellent and varied seasonal menu. All three courses were prepared and presented with perfection. The service was unobtrusive and always within easy reach. A 100 percent recommendation.

A very nice restaurant with outstanding service and excellent cuisine that places particular emphasis on regional produce. Despite the historic structure, they have found a very good solution for accessibility: There is both a ramp and an accessible restroom. The restaurant is housed in a charmingly restored historic building. Plenty of wood, brick, and carefully selected details create a cozy atmosphere. A place where you immediately feel at home – highly recommended!

Unfortunately, we didn't particularly enjoy our Wednesday evening visit. The four dishes we ordered were generally satisfactory to good. However, with the veal strips, you had to practically hunt for the meat – it was more reminiscent of a mushroom strips. It's a shame, especially since the prices are quite high. We sat inside, where the service was unfortunately neither attentive nor particularly friendly. Overall, a rather disappointing impression.

What a find. in the little hamlet behind the hotel, we found this fabulous restaurant. The menu choice allows everyone to enjoy food here. We had the cod and the steak, both cooked beautifully. Service was first class with very helpful and friendly staff. Despite the language barrier, we were very well looked after. The wine and beer were first class too. Go eat here. At first, we thought: It's a shame that the old pancake restaurant is gone, but what's become of it makes us forget it. The setting of the old Kaster restaurant is hard to beat, but the selection and preparation of the food is up there, at least on our first visit. We'd love to come back!

Unfortunately, I was blinded by the many positive reviews, or it was simply a bad day for the restaurant. We were in the restaurant for over three hours and (apart from the first order) weren't asked once if we wanted more drinks. After we ordered our food, there was silence again. After about an hour, we finally received our food. Unfortunately, the dish was tasteless and didn't live up to the overpriced price. No one at the table enjoyed it; it was just nice to look at. A shame for such a restaurant with such a great location.
