A great little eatery at Weissenburger Platz, serving delicious home-style cooking at moderate prices – kale stew and turnip stew – where else can you find that in Munich? At Christmastime, they have the best mulled wine – homemade, very friendly staff, and the owner herself is always smiling behind the bar. A place you'll want to come back to often – highly recommended.

Had a mulled wine here and loved it. I also go regularly for their chocolate roses. They’re great. I randomly landed on their reviews and was shocked to see entitled adults whining about the mulled wine. Tastes differ! If you didn’t enjoy it why don’t you go to one of the hundreds of 0-8-15 stalls and pay double for the ready made stuff out of the bottle. The Google trolls are really out of control these days. And yeah. This place doesn’t have public restrooms. Geeze. Go here for soup or mulled wine and especially for chocolate roses. You won’t be dissapointed

The (red) mulled wine used to be excellent here. This year (2025) it was very disappointing. What a shame! Not recommended.

The ginger punch is really good, well-balanced with orange. A nice change of pace at the Christmas market. I was also recommended the hot Negroni; I'll have to come back for that!

We were there on Saturday, December 6th, around noon and had ordered mulled wine, which we drank outside. Afterwards, I wanted to use the restroom briefly with my two-and-a-half-year-old twins. However, the woman rudely refused us entry and curtly directed us to the public restrooms outside. Her reason: there were too many stacked glasses and bottles in front of the white door. That was ridiculous and disrespectful. No one should speak to customers like that, especially not to a family with small children. This place shows absolutely no understanding or even the slightest bit of hospitality. I won't be coming back and advise everyone to avoid this place.

Worst Christmas market stall ever! I ordered a children's punch, and they gave me a cold elderflower drink (€4) and said it was children's punch. It's so blatant to rip off customers like that!

Very sweet staff and really good soups

We had three dishes: Swedish pea soup with smoked pork loin, celery with truffle oil, and venison goulash with spaetzle – all three were incredibly well-seasoned and prepared with great care. The service was warm and attentive; it was especially nice that we were allowed to sample the goulash sauce beforehand. A thoroughly enjoyable experience – I will definitely be back!

I always enjoy coming here; they have a variety of soups and stews, an excellent cappuccino, and a torta della Nonna to die for.

We ordered a "midnight soup" from Spoon Up for a law firm opening party, and it was a huge hit with our guests! The arrangements and process were incredibly easy, and the soup was simply delicious! Thank you so much, and we'd gladly order again anytime!

Small but very nice - Spoon up! Great creative soups and stews. (Changing weekly) in extremely high quality! Delicious coffee specialties and cakes - especially the homemade chocolate roses are amazing - 🌹 🌹🌹 you have to try it!!! Danger of addiction!!! Here we cook and bake very freshly with heart ❤️! Extremely nice staff, most of the time the owner herself is behind the counter! Great outdoor seating under old trees in the shade - with a view of the beautifully planted Weissenburger Platz (with fountain included)! There are also a few places inside with a cozy atmosphere! Very sweet and lovingly furnished! Of course, all dishes are also available to take away!!!

Everything I've tried so far (that's quite a lot ;) has been really tasty and creative. But I don't think the prices are reasonable anymore; they have risen sharply recently. Nowadays you can sometimes only find 1 soup on the menu for less than 10 euros.

Wenn Suppe, dann SpoonUp! Hat vor Jahren schon selbst mich als bekennende Suppen-Verschmäherin bekehrt. Die wöchentlich wechselnde Karte ist sehr abwechslungsreich und es gibt auch immer etwas für Vegetarier und Veganer, danke dafür. Auch für Süßmäulchen ist es eine perfekte Anlaufstation: wer noch nie Christianes Schokorosen gekostet hat, muss sofort hin. Wer es bereits getan hat, kommt immer wieder. Auch die Franzbrötchen und der Kaffee sind äußerst lecker. Und aktuell gibt es den besten Glühwein im Viertel dort. Der Service ist immer freundlich und der Platz va. im Sommer einer der schönsten der Stadt. Absolute Empfehlung!

Tolle selbstgemachte Suppen/Gerichte, Kuchen und kleine Leckereien, sowie Kaffeespezialitäte. Tolle Atmosphäre und sehr herzliche und freundliche Gastgeber. Bei gutem Wetter unbedingt draußen sitzen und den Blick auf den Weißenburger Platz genießen

Sehr schöne Location am Weißenburger Platz. Die Suppen und Eintöpfe sind sehr lecker und die Portionen sehr großzügig. Das Angebot wechselt wöchentlich und es ist für jeden etwas dabei. Auch die Kuchen, Scones, Croissants und vor allem die Schokorosen sind sehr zu empfehlen. Bei schönem Wetter kann man wunderbar draußen sitzen. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Genoss dort heute einen herrlichen Eiskaffee: Leckere ungesüßter (!) Kaffee, schmelzendes Vanilleeis, ein Klecks Sahne oben drauf, ein schattiges Plätzchen mit Blick auf den Brunnen am Weissenburger Platz und das Ganze auch noch mit netter Bedienung !

Ein super Atmosphäre, mit leckeren Kaffee und einer Auswahl aus verschiedenen Gebäcksorten. Ebendso bieten sie warme Gerichte wie z.B. Suppen an. Es ist so eingerichtet, dass man sich wohl fühlt und auch Platz zum Sitzen findet.

Delicious Homemade soup from fresh ingredients,great coffee & the lemonade is awesome. We had lunch outdoors during summer and it is so enjoyable. The lady we met spoke good English and even offered to provide some guide around the neighborhood. Our lunch costs about 28euros for two. Highly recommended as a place to visit.

Relaxed small bistro with a world travelers vibe. You'll find a small but totally very tasty selection of mostly vegetarian soups and other dishes. Leans toward Asian cuisine. Very good coffee. Can recommend.
