Great place and delicious food! Huge selection and variety of dishes. I loved it 👍

We are a party of five and ordered five buffet items. We also ordered four drinks. We were forced to order one additional drink. Otherwise, we would have to pay €3, and for nothing! This is absolutely not allowed in Germany! Unfortunately, we will no longer leave a tip for such poor service.

Huge selection, something for almost every taste. Friendly and attentive staff. Very large restaurant; it can get quite noisy during peak hours. Clean and well-maintained. The buffet is quite expensive at €28.90 in the evening (though it includes a sushi conveyor belt). The lunch buffet is fair at €18.90 (without sushi). If you don't mind the sometimes large crowds and the often limited parking, you'll definitely get your money's worth (in my opinion). I would recommend it.

The rave reviews are no coincidence, especially regarding the "Too Good To Go" service. When there are many leftovers, the owners often give "Too Good To Go" customers extra vegetables and fried food. This not only reduces food waste but also contributes to their excellent reputation. The taste of the dishes is among the best in Göttingen for Chinese cuisine – a successful combination of German influences and typical Chinese seasoning with plenty of oil and sauce. Here, you not only experience a fantastic buffet but also exemplary "Too Good To Go" service.

Diverse food, delicious seafood. Full of appetizers and desserts including ice cream, cakes, candies... unfortunately the sushi is quite bad and the price is a bit high. Only suitable for people who can eat a lot.

We've eaten there twice now, everything went perfectly, a very large and delicious buffet. I can highly recommend it, but it's better to book in advance. The staff is very friendly; you're shown to your table and brought a fresh plate with each new dish. The atmosphere is also lovely; I have nothing bad to say. Thumbs up! I felt I had to write something after 10 months, as it had always been just my wife and I until now. But on October 27th, we arrived with 10 people with a reservation, and I have to reiterate what I've already written: very delicious food and attentive staff. Everything was perfect. The buffet was great, no complaints, it tasted good. Everyone could help themselves to whatever they wanted and as much as they could eat. The selection was huge.

For me personally, this is the best Asian buffet! It's not cheap, but you get a really great selection of dishes, plus running sushi and chefs who prepare fresh food for you. The atmosphere is modern and not cluttered, and the staff are very friendly and helpful. It was a great evening! They have their own parking spaces.

Yesterday, six of us went there for lunch for the buffet. It was very busy. However, we always got all the food we needed; it was regularly replenished. 👍🏼 You don't usually experience this when eating at a buffet. Most of the time, the items (especially the duck) are only sporadically replenished, and you're lucky if you get to the buffet in time, because otherwise, it's immediately empty again. This wasn't the case here. Great! 👍🏼 The buffet itself is also very varied; there's something for everyone! And everything was absolutely delicious! 👍🏼 Keep up the good work! We'd love to come back!

The food itself is delicious, and the selection is huge. Unfortunately, the sushi wasn't well made and fell apart on the plate just by looking at it. The restrooms also have a strange atmosphere.

I found the service very friendly; they asked several times if everything was okay or if I needed anything. The store is clean and tidy, and the food was always refilling, and the selection was very large. And it might just be me, but I didn't like the taste. For example, I had beef with onions in a dark sauce – it was way too salty for me. The sushi wasn't really bad, but a treat is something else entirely. I had beef and lamb chops from the grill – again, the service was friendly and it was worth it, but both were too salty for me.

We'd been traveling for a long time and had children with us! We were actually late, but here we were warmly welcomed and treated with kindness! Thank you so much, it was delicious!

The Pagoda Göttingen is located in an industrial area, which at first seems a bit inconspicuous. However, right in front of the entrance, there's a small goldfish pond with a bridge – a nice detail that immediately catches your eye. The restaurant itself is very large and divided into several sections. Despite its size, it's almost always full, so a reservation is highly recommended. Even with a reservation, we had to wait a bit, but the service is well-organized and friendly. The buffet is very extensive and offers something for every taste. Particularly noteworthy are the Mongolian grill, where you can create your own individual dishes from fresh ingredients, and the sushi conveyor belt, which constantly rolls out new small portions. There's also a wide selection of hot dishes – from classics like chicken "Kong Bao," Eight Treasures, baked squid rings, and shrimp with vegetables to various warm vegetables and sauces. Our personal highlight was the pan-fried salmon, which is of very high quality and cooked to perfection. There's also a wide selection of desserts: ice cream, fruit, sweets, and a chocolate fountain complete the offerings. The buffet is just as interesting for children as it is for adults. The prices are a bit higher than at other all-you-can-eat restaurants, but the variety and quality justify them – I've already written a detailed review about it. Overall, a highly recommended restaurant for lovers of Asian cuisine.

We visited the Pagoda restaurant for the first time yesterday and were absolutely thrilled. We usually go to a different Chinese restaurant in Göttingen, but this time we tried Pagoda and it was absolutely worth it! Even though we arrived without a reservation, we received a friendly welcome and were immediately shown to a nice table. The buffet selection was huge and was constantly being refilled. We particularly want to highlight the sushi, which was a real highlight for us – fresh, varied, and very tasty. The hot dishes were also impressive, with something for every taste. We loved the bite-sized cake pieces: This allowed us to try different varieties without having to leave anything over if it wasn't quite to our liking. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, and the service was always attentive, friendly, and courteous. We felt very comfortable and are certain that this won't be our last visit to Pagoda – we highly recommend it!

I visited in 2023. It's a nice open buffet restaurant where people from all over the world can find food. The seafood dishes are wonderful, the meat dishes are delicious. If you ever cross paths, definitely visit a nice Chinese restaurant.

A very delicious buffet, including dishes I've never had at any other Chinese restaurant. You have to like octopus and pork belly 😉. I haven't even seen such a large selection of dishes in Hamburg...I would particularly like to highlight the beef and lamb from the Mongolian buffet.

The food was very good, but eleven-year-olds are already paying full price. My child ate a plate of chicken nuggets and fries. It's outrageous to count that as an adult.

We went there with the family today to eat. After a bird pooped on our table inside, we alerted the staff. The bird pooped on the bench, feathers flew into the food and drinks, and the sparrow also threw dirt down, which also landed in the food. Despite repeated warnings, the staff did nothing. We didn't get a drink or a discount, which I find disappointing. It wasn't particularly hygienic either. It's a shame, so only 1 star.

I come here every two years with my family and every time I experience the same thing: top dishes, top buffet, top service, top orientation.

The buffet was very varied and of very good quality. The price was surprisingly reasonable (about €44) for two people. That could also have been due to the time of day. I was expecting a lot more, as I'd been told the Pagoda was expensive. My impression was positive, and it probably won't be my last visit there.

Anlässlich des Geburtstag meiner Frau hatten wir im Freizeit Inn ein 4 GangMenü. Es war wirklich super lecker, die einzelnen Teller mit viel Hingabe zelebriert und dekoriert. Ganz toll. Das Angebot bestand aus einem Gläschen Sekt, einen Weinglas 0,2 l, einer Vorspeise, Zwischengang, Hauptspeise und Nachspeise. Eine Kaffespezialität war auch noch inklusive. Dazu gab es am Anfang noch einen üppigen Gruß aus der Küche. Alles super. Das ganze wurde begleitet und betreut von einer jungen hübschen talentierten Bedienung, sie war das perfekte Etwas was man/ Frau dazu gerne geniest. Bravo 👏🏻🤩

We went there again last night for the buffet. The quality has declined significantly...the value for money is no longer there! €27.90 per person for the buffet...even though the quality of the food has declined significantly. We paid €87.80 for two people including drinks...and I had persistent diarrhea afterward. I suspect it was the greasy chocolate fountain; it was really unpleasantly dirty...

I was pleasantly surprised. The trend is towards smaller restaurants, and the Pagoda is huge with an incredibly wide selection of dishes. Plus, there's a Mongolian grill and freshly prepared sushi. It was busy, but you didn't have to wait in line for long. The food was very good and, compared to other restaurants of this type, the quality was simply better. Special praise goes to the service: attentive and quick. Nobody seemed stressed, despite the high occupancy, and there was always a smile. It was clean, too, and they kept it that way every now and then. There was plenty of sweet treats, too, so the kids loved it too. If you like buffet food, this is the place for you.

One of the best Asian buffet restaurants in Göttingen! You can also order individual dishes here without booking the buffet. We went for the evening buffet (€29.70 per person, drinks extra) and were truly impressed. The selection is huge: there are vegetarian dishes, various meats, game, and exotic meats, as well as numerous types of fish freshly grilled. Plus, there are plenty of delicious sauces that go perfectly with rice or noodles. Desserts are also a treat: various fruits, ice cream, small cakes, and other sweets are available. Sushi fans will also get their money's worth – there's a sushi belt with many variations. I particularly like that you can sit inside and outside, and there's enough space for larger groups (I recommend making a reservation, though). Although the restaurant is always busy, the staff are friendly, attentive, and helpful. You can pay with cash or card. I definitely recommend the evening buffet!

Sehr umfangreiches Buffet, eingeschlossen „Mongolische Pfanne“ bei eigener Auswahl der Speisen, eingeschlossen das Dessert-Buffet. Sushi-Laufband am Abendbuffet / Sonntagsbuffet eingeschlossen. Cocktails stehen auch auf der Karte. Sehr (!) nette und aufmerksame Bedienung, vorbildlich. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Lautstärke in dem sehr großen Restaurant. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder.

In week 13, my wife and I wanted to go to Pagoda as usual and enjoy the otherwise good buffet. Unfortunately, this time it was a disappointment. Food was barely replenished, and the service was not in a good mood either.

The selection is great, so many good quality delicacies are amazing. The SERVICE staff are always friendly and accommodating, we are always happy to come back.

Such a huge selection of different dishes is a rarity. It's no wonder the restaurant was busy. There's still plenty of space inside, though. So if you're looking for ("Europeanized") Chinese food, this is the place for you!

They also offer a Mongolian buffet, where meat is fried with vegetables and spices of your choice. Everything here has always been great so far. There's also a sushi conveyor belt, but unfortunately, I can't comment on the sushi as I haven't tried it yet. All in all, this is a good place if you're looking for a Chinese buffet. The price, at almost €30 per person, excluding drinks, is relatively high for an evening buffet.

Disappointing food and unprofessional handling of criticism I was with a companion at the Pagoda restaurant in Göttingen and unfortunately the overall visit was very disappointing. We both ordered the same dish: baked, crispy chicken with vegetables and sauce. The chicken was anything but tender – dry, tough and barely edible. After I complained in a friendly manner, a new plate was brought to me, which I initially found to be good service. Unfortunately, the chicken wasn't any better on the second try. In the end, I could hardly eat any of the main ingredient in my dish and stuck to the few vegetables. However, the way my legitimate criticism was dealt with was even more serious: After another conversation with the waiter and the manager, I was told in an unfriendly tone that my complaint was unfounded. I was portrayed as a difficult customer and even told me outright that I shouldn't visit the restaurant again in the future. It was also insisted that the full price of the dish must be paid. Totally incomprehensible and unprofessional. I find this way of dealing with guests completely unacceptable. Criticism should be taken seriously and treated with respect - instead, it was made clear to me that my opinion was unwelcome. For me it was a once-in-a-lifetime visit – and it will stay that way. 👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽
