Update: I was here again (after a long time). The food is great and plentiful. (At first, I thought, well, I could have handled one more plate, and was a bit disappointed. After 45 minutes, when I got home, I realized, nooo, the amount was just right *grin*) The price: For a starter, main course, and a non-alcoholic white beer, it's all good for under €30. I'll be back. For anyone over 50 who's still looking for "old-school" restaurants without the hype and frills... this is the place for you. ×××××××xxxxxxx Old reviews from 2 years ago: Positive: The food is prepared with love and is delicious. We visit this restaurant for lunch at regular intervals and were once again completely delighted. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and offered truly good value for money. The service was extremely friendly – ​​personal and warm from the start, but never intrusive. We sat outside in beautiful weather and felt very comfortable. We were particularly touched by a small gift at the end: A member of staff lovingly brought us a small dessert – and even read it to us in a soft, warm voice. It was such a beautiful, almost poetic moment that made the visit truly special. Added to that was her charming wink that the dessert was "completely calorie-free." A restaurant we highly recommend – for good food, warm service, and little surprises that will stay with you forever.

A true gem in Blankenese! From the moment you enter the China Stube, you feel welcome – the atmosphere is warm, cozy, and authentically Far Eastern. The food was an absolute delight: freshly prepared, delicious, and beautifully presented. I particularly liked the variety of the menu and the ability to easily accommodate special requests. The service was exceptionally friendly and attentive – you can tell they put their heart and soul into their work. They were also very helpful when it came to questions about allergens, which is a huge plus for me.

The lunch menu from Tuesday to Friday from 12 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at a reasonable price is highly recommended 👍There are smaller portions or an extra portion for an additional €2. Smaller special requests - spicy or mild - with or without meat - will be fulfilled upon request if it is not too crowded 🤓 The homemade spring roll is particularly delicious - crispy with chicken and duck meat! The a' la carte food is tasty and varied - Peking duck must be ordered in advance and is a special specialty. Here the boss cooks with a lot of passion and the boss serves regular customers such as family members. Members 🤗 Please note the opening times: During the week: lunch break 3 p.m. - 5:30 p.m Saturday and Sunday are continuous. The evening kitchen closes at 8 p.m But that's understandable for a family business 😇

Whatever happened to that lovely restaurant? We went there years ago and loved it. A few days ago, we were the only customers (in the evening!), and the food was terrible. Very small portions, bland in taste, fried noodles were cooked in sauce, and they skimped on the vegetables, especially the meat. It wasn't worth the price. And you have to pay in cash. It's a shame, because it's actually a nice restaurant. We were disappointed.

This was my first time here and I took two dishes (fried noodles with vegetables + vegetarian spring rolls) from the lunch menu to go. The prices were great! I paid less than €10 for both. The staff was very friendly. It's important to note that you shouldn't expect extra-large meals at this low price. The location is very good, right next to Blankenese train station.

Ordered lunch by phone. I was surprised at the price: 6.20 is very low. When we opened the containers at home, it became clear to me why it was so cheap: they were children's portions. My mother's sweet and sour pork was a disaster. She had to spit out every piece; it was just gristle. I only had a few small pieces of chicken in the container. Disappointing. A little tip: increase the prices and portions, and buy better quality! Very disappointing and unusual in Blankenese!

For years, I've enjoyed delicious meals at the China Stube. I would have loved to continue doing so, but the last few times I've either found the door locked or, as happened to me today, I was told it wasn't open yet. I relied on the opening hours listed on Google, which are incorrect!!! I've now decided not to eat there again. I find it pretty stupid to look forward to the meal only to be disappointed again after arriving by public transport because the owners of the China Stube are unable to update their opening hours online!!! Regarding the following points to be evaluated: I would have liked to have lunch at the restaurant.

I used to eat at this restaurant around 40 years ago when I was a teenager, I moved to the US shortly after I graduated Highschool and am so happy to have reunited with one of my favorite places from back then. Everything is just as lovely and delicious as I remembered it. The food is delicious, the service so warm, lovely and personal and the atmosphere just perfect. I won’t miss a meal here on all my upcoming Hamburg visits.

The restaurant is getting old, but it is still cozy. The food is delicious. There is a large selection of starters and main courses. Personally, I like the spring roll and the Sichuan-style beef (spicy). The service is great - the owner is always helpful and friendly.

Here you can only feel comfortable.....cozy atmosphere and the food tastes fantastic.No gluten....everything freshly prepared.A very warm, nice couple who run their own Chinastube.....Great... ...I also celebrated here in November with 20 people....for a special occasion....at a decorated table, according to my own wishes.....The food and hospitality was great.

Sehr authentisch, kein Glutamat! Nettes Ehepaar, Service zuvorkommend und sympathisch. Lokal ist schon älter, aber gemütlich und sauber. Außenterasse auch hundefreundlich.

Ich hätte in Blankenese etwas anderes erwartet. Die Bedienung war zwar sehr freundlich, leider war dass das einzig Positive. Das Essen war wirklich schlecht, da kann man auch nix schönreden. Etwas schmuddelig ist das Restaurant ebenfalls. Denke 2 Sterne sind eine faire Bewertung.

Haben dort letztens etwas zum abholen bestellt. Bis ich erst einmal die Speisekarte irgendwo auf Facebook gefunden habe hat es zwar ein wenig gedauert, aber es hat sich definitiv gelohnt. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und das Essen war sehr lecker. Nicht zu fettig, wie man es häufig erlebt, aber trotzdem vorzüglich. Wenn die Zeiten vorbei sind, wo man Essen abholen muss, werden wir dort sicherlich nochmal vorbeischauen.

Das beste China Restaurant in Hamburg. Sehr leckeres Essen, frisch zubereitet und preislich unschlagbar. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und kompetent, sehr familiäre Atmosphäre. Es lohnt sich!

Bedienung super freundlich. Okay Essen ist leider schlecht. Mittagstisch Ente mit Reis und Gemüse . Die Ente sieht schlimm aus. Reis okay. Kaum Gemüse. Sosse nur am Rand des Reises.

Wir sind seit über 20 Jahren Gast bei diesen tollen Wirtsleuten,wo der Chef sogar selbst kocht.Einfach lecker,wohl bekömmlich und s e h r preiswert.Da wird man noch mit seinem Namen angesprochen wenn man zur Tür rein kommt.Was für ne Rarität. !

Typisches, kleines chinesisches Restaurant mit netten Wirtsleuten. Schnelle Bedienung und Zubereitung der Speisen, die auch noch schmecken. Einzig der Reis könnte etwas körniger sein, aber das ist Geschmackssache und tut dem Ganzen keinen Abbruch.

Dieses Restaurant hat eine Seele! Die Inhaber sind Herzensgute Menschen und das Essen schmeckt wirklich toll! Es ist alles frisch und sehr schmackhaft vom Chef selbst zubereitet! Nicht zu vergleichen mit anderen chinesischen Restaurants. Der Laden ist optisch etwas in die Jahre gekommen, doch wer einmal da war und die Liebenswürdigkeit der Chefin kennen gelernt hat, kommt immer wieder gerne in dieses familiär geführte Lokal und weiß worauf es ankommt!! Absolut empfehlenswert!!!

Die netteste Bedienung, die ich jemals hatte, mit der man auch mal ins Gespräch kommt. Die Einrichtung ist richtig gemütlich im Dämmerlicht und schön eingerichtet. Das Essen ist preislich sehr angemessen und super lecker. Die Speisekarte ist übersichtlich und enthält ein paar Gerichte, die es sonst beim Chinesen nicht gibt. Es gibt auch einen Pflaumenwein vorab gratis. Die Lage ist perfekt direkt am Blankeneser Bahnhof. Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder.
