Freshly prepared food, generous portions at affordable prices. The service is good and nice. It went quickly even though it was very crowded. It's best to reserve in advance.

I can only recommend it to everyone :-) Thumbs up for great food, good portions, and ALWAYS very friendly and fast service. We just ordered 2 soups to pick up and they taste excellent as always 👍🏼 I recommend lunch to everyone for the lunch break🙏🏼

It was delicious and very inexpensive for the great quality. The staff were very friendly and the menu had many options. I'll definitely come back next time I visit Göttingen

We went here for dinner for the first time two weeks ago. We are my mother (aged 80 but still in great shape), my seven-year-old son Lennox, and I, in my mid-50s and not grown up at all...! The fact that it was our Shanghai premiere is very sad - because I've been living around the corner for 11 years, but I've always wanted the opposite of the "buffet fattening farms", which unfortunately don't seem to be going out of fashion...! But now I have found my new favorite restaurant when it comes to Asian cuisine! I wished I could treat myself to a visit to a restaurant

By far the best Chinese restaurant far and wide. Killer portions, really tasty and unbeatable for the price. The boss always looks at us in amazement when we only manage half of our two-person plate :-) Platter for 2 people with starter and dessert for €35 is unbeatable in terms of price/performance ratio. And no mass-produced goods, everything fresh!

We've been eating here frequently for a while now. The food is simply delicious, good portions, high quality and the price-performance ratio is simply unbeatable. The service is perfect, always very friendly and accommodating. We always feel welcome and very comfortable. I always have the fish with vegetables and my husband the pork with eight gems and garlic. There are parking spaces in front of the restaurant. The toilets are clean.

I have been to the Shang Hai Chinese Restaurant many times and I have to say, it is always a pleasure to eat here. The food and service are simply sensational. The owner family personally takes care of cooking and serving the dishes and you can feel the love and passion they put into every single dish. The food is simply incredibly delicious and I am always impressed by the quality and taste. The menu offers a wide variety of classic Chinese dishes, all cooked to perfection. Personally, I love the roasted duck and the crispy spring rolls. But not only is the food great, the service is also excellent. The owner family is so friendly and attentive that you immediately feel at home. They are always willing to make recommendations and make sure you have everything you need. Overall, I can recommend China Restaurant Shang Hai to anyone looking for authentic Chinese food. It may have a normal ambience, but the taste and service are anything but normal - they are simply sensational!

We were there for dinner on Friday with 3 people. The food was excellent and plentiful. We were all full and my wife was even able to take her food home with us. You pay around €17.50 for duck dishes. Beer about 4.50 (0.4). The furnishings could be a little more modern, but otherwise everything is good.

The service at this Chinese restaurant is great! 👍 This is the first time I have encountered such good service in five years in Germany! My friend and I also celebrated our birthday in the store, and the store clerk brought us knives and forks to eat the cake we brought! Very nett! The food tastes very good and there is a heating tray underneath, so you don't have to worry about the food getting cold if you chat for a long time. We chatted for two hours and the food was still hot! ! ! The portions are also huge! The waiter was very friendly and packed the food for us, gave us after-dinner cocktails after the meal, and finally helped us clear the table. Let us not be anxious and continue to sit and chat! I love this store so much. After eating, I will be very happy because of their service❤️

This restaurant is the best Chinese there is in Göttingen. We have been eating there with our family for over 20 years, and the food is always very, very tasty. Everything is right for the price and the size of the portion too. Very hospitable and very clean.

Overall, my impression wasn't particularly good. The service is great, but unfortunately it doesn't make the taste experience any better. Now in detail: I ordered a vegetarian dish with tofu and my companion ordered a variation of meat dishes. If you're hoping for traditional Chinese cuisine, you've come to the wrong place. It is Germanized Chinese cuisine that is known throughout Germany. With the tofu dish I noticed that most of the vegetables were not fresh but canned. The dish automatically loses its taste, nutrients and natural aromas. My impression was that most visitors come for the sumptuous meat dishes, which are often impossible to handle during a visit and can therefore be taken with you for the next day. It wasn't mine. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated for the price category and made a nice impression on me. The service staff was very courteous and tried to ensure customer satisfaction.

Wir kommen seit vielen Jahren in dieses Restaurant und freuen uns immer wieder über den guten Service und der sehr netten und zuvorkommenden Bedienung durch die Chefin ,es ist alles sehr sauber und ordentlich und das Essen schmeckt einfach sehr gut, daher können wir dieses Restaurant bestens empfehlen.

Wir kommen auf der Durchreise sehr gerne ins Shang Hai. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich, die Portionen reichlich und das ganze Restaurant sehr kinderfreundlich. Lecker ist es noch dazu, aber: Man darf keine authentische chinesische Küche erwarten, aber unter den ganzen "angepassten" Chinarestaurants definitiv eines der allerbesten!

Sehr gutes, sauberes und qualitativ hochwertiges Lokal - klein aber fein!!! Es gibt dort kein Buffet, dafür aber total leckeres Essen. Mittags mit Suppe oder großer Frühlingsrolle und eine reichliche Portion (ich habe die Hälfte einpacken lassen). Sehr angenehme Preise! Das Personal ist nett und höflich. Die Toiletten sind sehr sauber. Kostenlose Parkplätze direkt vor dem Haus. Macht weiter so ... ich würde es vermissen!

Gutes Angebot, gutes und reichliches Essen, guter Service, Tische werden immer gereinigt und ordentlich hergerichtet, auch die Toilette ist ordentlich. Bislang waren wir immer sehr zufrieden.

Das Essen ist top!!!! Dafür spricht auch die Tatsache das das Geschäft egal wann man kommt, immer voll ist. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und humorvoll, schnell, kompetent und erinnert sich sogar oft an Dinge die man schon mal dort gegessen hat. Dadurch das das Lokal klein und immer voll ist, hat es so eine Art Mensacharakter, immer in Bewegung und dadurch wirkt es sehr ruhelos. TROTZDEM BESTE ADRESSE!!!!!!

Das beste China Restaurant von Göttingen

Sehr nette Betreiber und nettes kleines chin. Restaurant. Man kann auch draußen sitzen. Wie hatten eine Platte für zwei Personen mit Rind, Schwein, Hähnchen, Riesengarnelen und Ente, alles verschieden und lecker zubereitet. Dazu gab's als Vorspeise Suppe oder Frühlingsrolle und zum Nachtisch gem. Eis oder gebackene Banane. Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt und es wären auch 3 Leute pappsatt geworden. Preis/Leistung sensationell!!!! 100% Weiterempfehlung 👍

Ein tolles kleines Restaurant und Lecker. Kommen sehr gerne immer wieder. Die Speisen sind so frisch zubereitet. Sehr Weiter zu empfehlen.

Auf unserer Zwischenstation zur bzw. von der Nordsee haben wir gegessen. Sehr freundliches Personal, die Qualität der Speisen sehr gut und mehr als reichliche Portionen.

Wir sind oft zu Gast mit zwei, vier und auch mit 14 Personen. Immer ist die Bedienung ausnahmslos freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist immer frisch zubereitet und sehr heiß. Auf Wunsch werden auch kleine Portionen oder andere Sonderwünsche berücksichtigt. In den langen Jahren, bei sehr viel Hektik (oft ist der Gastraum komplett gefüllt) ist noch nie ein böses Wort gefallen. Auch nicht, wenn die Kinder vorm Aquarium im Weg stehen und staunend die Fischlein betrachten. WIr kommen immer wieder gerne.
