China Restaurant Panda II in Berlin

For many, many years now (since Panda I on Johannisthaler Chaussee closed), this has been my go-to Chinese restaurant, consistently offering high-quality food and always very friendly service. Just drop by and see for yourself.

We ordered food. After a 2.5-hour wait, we received almost cold food....

The interior is nice... but there's nothing else to say. You have to wait about 20 minutes for service... just sit and wait... after you've ordered, there's still more waiting. Other tables were served faster than us, even though we arrived earlier. They completely forgot about our second course and brought it 25 minutes later. We never waited for the waiter to pay - we went to the cashier ourselves and paid. The prices are very budget-friendly, which is what initially surprised us. The food seemed delicious, but afterwards we all had digestive problems. It's very noisy. The waiters shout at each other... My plate wasn't entirely clean. The women's restroom is in terrible condition. It's a shame I didn't take those photos. I sincerely do not recommend this place.

The food here didn't taste good from soup to main course; it definitely wasn't to my taste.

The price-performance ratio is incredibly low. If the food is cheap and tastes good too, what more could you want?

Service and food good and tasty

How can it be that people who order after us get their food before us? We waited 15 minutes for our meat dishes to arrive, just with rice. People who came before us got their food much faster than us! Recommended the first time, not recommended this time. Fridays after 6 p.m.

After a long lull, the food is exceptionally good again. Decent portion sizes!

Reasonable selection and offerings. Portions were a good size. Service was friendly and attentive. The ambiance is a mix of Asian and rustic German.

Today I ordered: 1x soup, 1x noodles with crispy duck, and 1x baked banana. The soup and banana were correct. The noodles arrived with chicken instead of crispy duck. When I asked on the phone that I had ordered something different, they argued that Lieferando was at fault. The lady on the phone, to put it succinctly, said: I have to accept it and order something different next time. After a brief discussion on the phone, she ended the call (hung up). The same thing happened in person, with absolutely no understanding that the restaurant owner should change things or even contact Lieferando. On top of that, the prices (at least for my meal) are quite different between what Lieferando displays and what's on the menu. This customer service is simply the worst! I do NOT recommend this place to ANYONE!!!

A huge restaurant consisting of several rooms. It is located in a sort of basement. You have to go down the stairs to get to the restaurant. Reservations are required because it is very popular.

Everything was delicious. We were still sitting there, even though it was already closing time, and we weren't kicked out. It's rare these days. Very good.

The food tastes great. It's annoying, though, that every 5 minutes someone comes running up, stops, and then leaves again. But otherwise, I'd go back.

I've been a regular at this restaurant for years and have had many wonderful times here with my family. We enjoy coming here every year for birthdays and also every now and then. The restaurant offers the perfect combination of excellent food, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Hence 5/5 stars!

The food was so awful, almost like a takeaway restaurant, and completely overpriced. There was no thank you for the tip either.

Absolute disaster. The duck was dry, the rice was dripping with greasy fat. No decent vegetables, but 1,000 bean sprouts. Never again!!!

Antiquiertes, in die Jahre gekommenes Ambiente. Wenig Parkplätze. Das Essen war gut, wenn es auch relativ lange gedauert hat, bis es serviert wurde. Die Bedienung war teilweise überfordert: Ich wurde noch nie aufgefordert, zu bezahlen bevor ich eine detaillierte Rechnung erhalten habe. Die Kleidung roch nach dem Besuch stark nach altem Fett, so dass sie gewaschen werden musste.

We were there on Sunday at lunchtime, the restaurant was very full, the food was delicious! Service polite and very friendly. We'll be back.

I have been to this Chinese restaurant several times and have to say that the food has always been very tasty. The dishes are freshly prepared, taste great and the price-performance ratio is absolutely right. The ambience of the restaurant is also attractive and cozy, which makes the stay very pleasant. Unfortunately, I have to share a bad experience today. That day I wasn't served as usual by the younger waitress with long black hair, but by an older lady with short hair and glasses. She was noticeably rude throughout the entire visit. What was particularly unpleasant was that, as I later noticed, she was making fun of the guests in their language (Chinese) - of course I didn't fully understand the conversation, but the tone and gestures were clear. Her way of dealing with the guests was not at all pleasant and she repeatedly made it clear that she insisted on tips, which seemed inappropriate to me. Overall, I have to say that I have always liked the restaurant and continue to think the food is very good. But because of this bad experience and rude behavior I probably won't come back. It's a shame because I enjoyed visiting the restaurant for a long time.

It's a real highlight, you can really pamper yourself if you opt for the large buffet, the small one is also very good, always happy

The food was very good, including the sweet and sour sauce. The shrimp were super fresh and big. The chicken curry was very tender and so was the chicken in the pandan soup! The service was friendly... Gladly again!!!

Super cozy... the food tastes really excellent... it is served on warming plates and extra plates... The service is extremely friendly...there are 2 round tables, which are very nice and comfortable for celebrations in a group of up to 6 people. The prices are absolutely moderate. There are a few parking spaces behind the house on the premises .. ..We go there again and again and really enjoy it...!!!!

I ordered from the restaurant today via Lieferando. Which I do at least once a month because it tastes really delicious here. Only this time I have to deduct a star for the food because the wrong food was delivered to me. I ordered the egg fried rice with pork and got fried noodles with chicken instead. Next time you should first read what the guest has ordered. Even if things get stressful, you should really look at the order before you start preparing it. It was still really tasty, even if it was mistakenly the noodles instead of the rice. But next time I order again, please order what you ordered and not something else. I found it very, very sad. Therefore 1 star deducted.

We had an excellent meal here! The staff is incredibly friendly and prompt, which made the entire visit very pleasant. I would particularly like to highlight the duck with peanut sauce – an absolute must! Every bite was a delight. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit when you are in Berlin. We'll definitely be back!

Pretty Chinese restaurant 🉐️🍽🥢🏮🎎 🌾🐼 in the basement with sloping windows and typical Chinese wood carvings on the ceiling, walls and room dividers as well as colorful pictures, dragons and laughing fat Buddha figures 😄. The staff is super friendly and authentic! We were there on a Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. Due to the warm temperatures that day ☀️🌡🔥🥵 the restaurant was not well attended... we were able to order quickly and received our food after a short time. The sour and spicy soup is actually SENSATIONAL!!! I like to eat Chinese food often and therefore have many options for comparison. We had No. 93 (baked duck crispy with vegetables, spicy 🌶 and with garlic 🧄). Portion was generous, duck was wonderfully crispy and lots of meat. The vegetables were mainly red and green peppers (very crunchy), carrots and onions. Here and there also 1.2 morels and some bamboo. It tasted very good, no question, but I prefer a lot of bamboo, mushrooms, morels, bean sprouts (which unfortunately weren't included) and Chinese cabbage/pak choy. Overall, it was just a little too peppery for me. But that is not a criticism, but rather individual taste. The price of €3.30 for the soup and €15.90 for the crispy duck is absolutely fine. The plum wine on the house when paying the bill is also a tradition and was very tasty. We will definitely come back and try out the menu 😋.

Very tasty and very nice to sit down by the aquarium, they are nice too, unfortunately the prices have increased a bit but it's still nice here. The best is the sweet-sour-spicy soup. Never had a better meal than here. Sometimes I just come for the soup.

After our regular restaurant closed, we tried out a few alternatives over the last few months, mainly in the Neukölln area. Today it was the turn of this classic Chinese restaurant. The food was really tasty and plentiful. Service very quick and friendly. The ambience is right, we were totally satisfied and found our new (Chinese) regular restaurant today

I've been coming here to eat here for many years. We ate here very regularly until 2012. Due to moving, it was too far to go and have a quick meal here. But since this year we have been coming here regularly again. All I can say is that it's amazing that the food is still so great. Everything you order comes super quickly, even if you come in a larger group. Everyone still eats at the same time. 👍 The restaurant is getting old, which is why it has its charm - there were a few corners here and there with a lot of dust. I showed it to the boss personally after paying. This deducts 1 star but we will still come back. It was so tasty and the price was really good too. 👏👏👏 Yesterday we ordered the lunch menu. There is a selection of dishes and a soup beforehand. It has completely sufficient. And it was very tasty. Thank you

I have known the panda since my childhood. So for a good 30 years. In terms of ambience, little has actually changed, but my family and I find that somehow nice. Every time it's a little journey through time. The food is simply great. I just know that the sour and spicy soup and certain dishes will never disappoint me because they have always tasted just as good. The service is always very nice and attentive. We have never had anything to complain about and look forward to future visits.

I was a regular customer until yesterday. Until I was treated very, very unfriendly by Service Kraft yesterday, I was really disappointed. There were 12 of us with a reservation. We ordered an apple juice for my 3 year old son when I was served, I realized it was cold I asked if it was warm and he rudely said no, it's ice cream. The waitress and the waiter served us very unfriendly. They really gave the impression that you eat your food and leave. They didn't even clean up our table. We organized my daughter's birthday meal there. They didn't want to give me any plates or cutlery until I did who said that I will give service fee. Really sad, won't go there anymore...

The restaurant is very nice, but the waiter serving, the male one, is very rude. My family and I always eat there, only on January 10, 2024. It's my daughter's birthday. We have booked a place for 12 people. We ordered our food at 6:00 p.m. The waiter's treatment of us was very harsh and rude. I asked for apple juice for the children. He brought him. I said, "Is he hot?" No. He said he was cold and replied sarcastically. I asked for a serving plate for the cake and he said he couldn't give it to me. However, if someone was cooking for 12 people, I would tip them enough, but I didn't tip because I didn't like their attitude and service. I hope the chef at Panda Restaurant reads our comment and gets back to us.

Am 13.10.2023 abends waren eine frau und mann kellner unverschaemt in hoechster art und weise wir sitzen zehn mann am tisch bekommen eine schale reis für 10 bestellungen natürlich war dies gleich leer daraufhin wollten wir nochmal reis und dann kam wieder nur eine schale wo wir ganz höflich gefragt haben warum wir immer nur reis in raten bekommen antwortet die frau erst aufessen ja 🤦‍♂️natürlich nachdem dies sofort bei zwei personen wieder leer war haben wir den maennlichen kellner zur rede gestellt was dieses spiel mit dem reis letztenendes schenkt er uns dies nicht wir bezahlen dafür da antwortet er doch tatsaechlich „andere essen nicht soviel” wir haben es echt nicht noetig laecherlich mit unserem geld zumachen !!!!!! Aber dies alles gillt nur für den service das essen und die ambiente waren toll nicht desto trotz werden wir diesen restaurant ab jetzt meiden .

Mit die besten chinesischen Gerichte, die ich seit langem bei einem Chinesischen Restaurant gegessen habe. Dazu eine sehr aufmerksame Bedienung die auch wirklich einen gewissen Entertainment-Faktor hat 😀 Das Restaurant liegt im Untergeschoss, hat aber große Fensterfronten so dass es nicht zu dunkel wirkt. Sehr zu empfehlen. Hinweis: es gibt keinen Fahrstuhl in das Untergeschoss, so dass man Treppenstufen laufen muss.

Really great Chinese restaurant in the hood. The first impression of the restaurant was excellent because of the atmosphere from their interior. It’s really authentic. We ordered 1 cucumber salad, 2 different kinds of dim sum, and 1 fried chicken with red sauce. Even though the cucumber salad wasn’t 100% chinese style that we expected (something chili), the foods were overall delicious and the main dish came with large portion of rice. The service was satisfying with the lady staff and we got really tasty plum digestif at the end of our meal.

Das Essen dort ist ziemlich lecker gewesen. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Gerichte an denen niemand etwas auszusetzen hatte. Der Service war zudem sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Was mir jedoch weniger gefallen hat, war die dortige Einrichtung bzw. das Ambiente. Ich denke mal, so, wie es vor vielen Jahren einmal gebaut und eingerichtet wurde, so ist es auch geblieben. Alles sehr altbacken und nicht richtig gepflegt. Da könnte man einiges mal überarbeiten. Das hält mich allerdings nicht davon ab, dort ab und zu mal lecker chinesisch Essen zu gehen.

Super Essen, traumhafte sauer scharf Suppe und Frühlingsrolle. Viele Restaurants sind nach Corona teurer aber auch schlechter geworden. Im 🐼 das genaue Gegenteil, obwohl wir dort seit ca 4 Jahren immer Mal wieder essen und immer zufrieden waren, war das Essen heute der absolute Hammer. Dazu freundlicher Service, angemessene Preise und angenehmes Publikum. Was willst Du mehr.
