China Restaurant Kaiserpalast in Pirmasens

We had a delicious lunch. The price was absolutely fair. The buffet was constantly replenished, and everything was served hot. The staff were very friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was cozy, and to finish off the meal, we were offered delicious warm plum wine – perfect for this time of year – and a fortune cookie. I'll definitely be back as soon as I'm in the area. They offer good food at a fair price.

We've eaten here many times and it's always been good. We always go for the buffet with its wide variety of dishes and can choose the ones we like best. The staff, especially the owner, are always very friendly. The price for the buffet is so reasonable that we're happy to leave a larger tip than usual.

Visit November 2025 Attentive, friendly, and helpful staff; clean, tables set, restrooms clean as far as I could see. I recommend the buffet; relatively large and reasonably priced selection, constantly replenished. We got a table, but the restaurant was already quite busy. Depending on the occasion, you might want to reserve a table. Noise level was negligible and quiet.

Absolutely delicious. We ate at the buffet, of course. A dream. I'd go back anytime.

Recurring problems with the parking lot

A small but excellent all-you-can-eat restaurant. The food is delicious, but the selection is unfortunately quite limited for an all-you-can-eat meal. The service is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant has a slightly dated look, but this isn't a problem at all. Overall, a lovely restaurant where you can happily spend an evening.

It's okay, great prices, not a huge selection of all you can eat food, but it's also suitable for children.

Unfortunately, the schnitzel on schnitzel day was abysmally bad, with a thick, colorless coating. It was served with over-salted French fries. The lovely, shady beer garden couldn't make up for the poor food!

Quality over quantity and great value for money So far, my family and I have had only positive experiences here, and we are very satisfied with the quality of the food and the friendliness. Compared to other buffet providers, the focus here is on quality and freshness. The breaded chicken is a prime example. While at other providers I feel like I get 70% breading and 30% meat, here it's about 70-80% meat. Everything is absolutely as it should be, and it tastes absolutely delicious. Compared to other restaurants in larger cities, this restaurant is in no way inferior and even performs better, if not the best. See you next time! Update 2025: After at least 20 visits, the impression above can only be confirmed. Update mid-2025: Still great quality, very friendly owners, and very tasty food! 👍

It was great, as always! The service is brilliant and very friendly. The food is, as always, good. A definite recommendation! We've been going there for years. The lunch buffet is highly recommended! For €9.80, the all-you-can-eat buffet includes everything from salads to many great savory dishes to several desserts. Don't miss it! The prices are still so low. Great! In the evening, shrimp all you can eat—just peel them by hand and enjoy. And the Imperial Palace is open until late in the evening, so you can still get something to eat a la carte and not be turned away like you might be at other restaurants.

It was the first time in the Imperial Palace and the food (buffet) was mostly good. Unfortunately, some of the dishes were only lukewarm (that evening) and the selection was manageable. It was tasty nonetheless. The restaurant is medium-sized for a Chinese restaurant, which I don't think is bad at all. The wait staff was very friendly and it was always cleaned immediately when guests paid and left. The cushions on which you sit at the bench are, well, probably a few years old, but that's about it that could possibly be criticized. It certainly won't be the last time I'll be there, because overall the price is really very good. Important to know: there is no grill where fresh food is prepared, only a buffet.

Been there a total of over 10 times now. But I never ate a buffet. Always off the menu. The food was always TOP! The two owners are always very friendly. Only when it comes to service does the friendliness sometimes leave something to be desired. But I can still only recommend this restaurant.

We were here for the lunch buffet, which only cost 9.80 euros. The restaurant is relatively large. The service was very nice. There isn't as much choice as other restaurants, but there's enough! Sometimes less is simply more 😉 I can definitely recommend the restaurant!

We were here for the first time today for a buffet meal. Everything was hot and very tasty. Only the 🦆 duck didn't necessarily meet our taste. The price-performance ratio is really okay. Only the furnishings are a bit old 😕. This corresponds to a wood class. But the food is very tasty 😋. We will come again...

Classic Asian buffet restaurant with all popular dishes, from sushi to satay skewers, from spring rolls to fried rice. Everything was very tasty, the prices were almost cheap compared to other restaurants of the same category. There are free parking spaces (from 7 p.m.) right in front of the house... we'll be happy to come back... 👍

We were there at Easter. From the outside it no longer looks appealing. It's very tight inside. You have to squeeze through the people at the buffet to get to the tables in the back. The staff very nice and friendly. The food was okay, but I've had much better Chinese food.

We have been to the Imperial Palace several times in a small group. We always ate from the buffet, what can I say, simply delicious, large selection and the price was right. Service and staff friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The restaurant, in my opinion, has a cozy atmosphere. We will plan a visit to the Imperial Palace again.

Best place in Pirmasens ever, the staff is wonderful and English speaking, the food's delicious and rather cheap. I am in love and happy I live in a same building.

Essen richtig gut, Buffet immer aufgefüllt und heiß. Preis/Leistung super. Waren vor Jahren öfter dort und werden in Zukunft wieder öfter hingehen.

Das leckerste parierte Hähnchen was ich je bei einem Chinesen gegessen habe. Das Buffet ist zwar nicht riesen groß, aber das braucht auch kein Mensch. Es war alles super lecker und für jeden was dabei und der Preis ist nicht zu toppen, ich finde sogar das sie mehr nehmen sollten.

Der Kaiserpalast ist ein solides China Büffet Lokal. Man kann dort gut essen. Da man man hier auch ohne Reservierung einen Platz bekommt wird es schnell voll und ein angenehmes Ambiente entsteht hier nicht, also rein essen und raus. Die einzelnen Gerichte werden sehr zaghaft aufgefüllt, eher nicht so gut. Auch die Platzierung des Büffets ist ungeschickt gelöst, direkt am Eingang also Stau. Der Service ist ansonsten ganz gut und alle sind sehr freundlich.

Das Personal ist super aufmerksam und unheimlich freundlich. Das Buffet bietet alles was man kennt und mag und schmeckt. Der Preis fürs Abendbuffet ist mit 13,50 ein Schnäppchen. Bei den anderen Chinesen gehts meist erst ab 20€ los und das ist für die Massenabfertigung einfach zuviel. Wir gehen gern zum Kaiserpalast.

Sehr schön dort, waren bei dem All u can eat buffet. Den Service gab es dort bis auf die Köche, die die Theke aufgefüllt haben keinen, da es ja Selbstbedienung war aber es war immer genug da und hat sehr lecker geschmeckt. Am Ende des Abends bekamen wir sogar noch einen frisch gebrannten Pflaumen Schnaps aufs Haus das war sehr wohltuend nach dem ganzen Speisen.

Wir waren das erste mal dort und es war reiner Zufall. Das Essen war sehr gut, die Bedienungen sehr nett und das Ambiente perfekt. Der Preis unschlagbar. Wir kommen aus dem Saarland, ist etwas weiter aber der Weg lohnt sich und werden jetzt auch öfter kommen.
