The idea itself is not bad and also very authentic. I also liked that there were more unusual meats on offer and the staff seemed to be in a good mood. All in all, I just found it a bit unappetizing.

The selection of semi-finished dishes is impressive: from many different types of meat to various side dishes to a variety of types of pasta - nothing to be desired here. I was particularly impressed by the speed with which the dishes are prepared. You put together your own ingredients and everything is cooked fresh in a flash. The selection of sauces is great too - from not spicy to extremely spicy, there is something to suit every taste. As a lover of spicy food, I really got my money's worth here. After just one spoonful of the hottest sauce, I was tingling, my nose was running, and I was sweating all over - an absolute highlight for anyone who likes spicy food! Jin's House also shows its best side when it comes to drinks: there are not only the classic soft drinks such as Cola, Fanta and Sprite, but also a variety of international drinks that are rarely found elsewhere. A great opportunity to try something new! The price-performance is unbeatable. You pay by weight, so you can determine the size of your portion individually - perfect for every hunger and every budget. This gives you the freedom to get exactly what you want without paying more than necessary. Overall, I give Jin's House a solid 10/10! The unique concept, the great selection and the opportunity to get creative yourself completely convinced me. I will definitely come back and highly recommend it to everyone!

My boyfriend and I have been here many times before, but in the past six months, the quality of the food has been poor, and it even smells sour and fermented. The soup tastes hit or miss. We only report to the store out of health and hygiene considerations when the food is fermented or rancid. For the first time, we reported to the store that the store offered a free bowl of sour tofu as compensation. Later, we still visited again, but we took less and less ingredients because we were a little worried that the quality of what we got was not as good as expected or even fermented. The second time we ate the meatballs, we reported them to the store because they were sour. The store refused to compensate us at first because the amount we spent was too low (28 euros for two people). Later, my boyfriend asked the store owner to try the meatballs himself to make sure there was something wrong. The store clerk tasted them and immediately vomited them out. Then we were given a 5-euro discount coupon, and we had to spend 15 euros before we could redeem it. We cannot accept this attitude. We already have concerns about the ingredients and need to spend again to get back the money we spent on the meatballs. The food is usually good, otherwise we wouldn't come back so many times. However, we have eaten unhygienic ingredients several times, or food with poor taste and texture, as well as the attitude of the store this time, so we will not patronize it again. Food is amazing, just be careful not to fill the bowl too much cause it will always be too much. Food is great. Bubble teas are all amazing if you’re looking for classics like Thai tea (no other place has it) and you’ll end up in a food coma after but worth it!

I've known the shop since it opened and have been coming back ever since - not without reason! The selection of fresh ingredients is great, as is the selection of soups and drinks. Everything tastes good and you get your order quickly, considering it's always full to capacity. I'm going back today and I'm really looking forward to it :D

Ein absolut fantastisches foodhaus. Gehst du rein, gehst du wahrscheinlich nicht so schnell wieder raus. Es wurden sogar bereits Lieder über JinsHaus geschrieben - kein scherz. Wer hunger hat sollte definitiv hier vorbeischauen. Danke Jin!

I was here for the first time today and was surprised at how much choice there is in terms of soup options. Everything you can imagine in terms of vegetables, meat, all kinds of pasta and even mushrooms. The choice of broth is also very modular, be it in terms of taste or spiciness. You have to be careful when choosing side dishes. You pay by weight per 100g and it quickly becomes heavy. But the soup afterwards is very rich and tasty. I'd love to come back. Be careful though, the shop is full to capacity at lunchtime.

In my opinion, the hygienic conditions are a bit questionable, but the soup was very tasty... if it weren't for the annoyed, unfriendly manner of the employees.

The basic idea may sound interesting, but if you're not an expert on Chinese ingredients (like me) and follow the wrong labels on these same ingredients, you'll quickly end up with a fatty broth with vegetables and full of flavor enhancers for a lot of money. A guide or at least example compilations with quantities would be very helpful! The quality and names of the ingredients were rather poor! Prices too high!

Food basically good but staff quite unfriendly. When asked about the bubble teas, the answer was "no idea" and if you can't quite manage the soups you will be thrown a plastic container so you can pack it yourself. Unfortunately no one here is friendly or polite...

Great concept and because of that everyone should find what they are looking for here! I was definitely fed up and overall Jin's house surprised me positively. Great vegan options and the broth selection is strong. The preparation is quick and tastes really good!

Exceptionally delicious ramen soup. As a customer, you take a bowl and fill it with the ingredients for the soup and then choose the broth. Each soup is individually put together. Great! Bubble tea is also delicious.

Jin's House has been our go-to place for delicious and, above all, quick hotpot for years. I think the food here is just great, it's hearty and everyone can find something to suit their taste buds. Despite being "just" a fast food restaurant, this place has become a really homely place for my friends and me. If we want to sit down and talk for a long time, we come here! Food + bubble tea = a great evening guaranteed! So dear Jin's House team: Thank you for being there for us for years!

If I ever have to move away from Darmstadt, Jins Haus is what I will miss the most about this city. My go-to place for any time I want a warm hearty meal.

I tried malatang for the first time there and I don’t need to go anywhere else. You can just pick what you want in your soup and they cook it for you. It’s the perfect place if you’re craving for a warm tasty spicy and asian soup. The hotpot is always delicious and the service is really nice, I definitely recommend it.

Eating there is an experience. You put together your own food and it is then processed into a soup. All dishes can also be vegetarian for an additional charge of €1. Very tasty 😋

It is a simple self-service restaurant that definitely impresses with its delicious soups. I have never had better ramen anywhere. I also think it's great that you can choose what you want to add to the soup and how much. Great concept. The employees are also super nice and helpful. The opening times are great too!

Normally, if you eat malatang, your intestines will not be good the next day, but this malatang is okay even the next day. The broth is clear and has little oil. The ingredients may change often, but they are always clean and delicious. The store is narrow and crowded, so they often get takeout.

Super delicious food with fresh ingredients that you can choose yourself and put in your bowl. Price-performance is also absolutely fine. I don't understand the comments and ratings below. The entire store definitely has a nasty fly problem. There are just flies in the entire store over the open food on the tables. Unfortunately, a fly fell into our food! Ingredients weren't fresh, everything was stale frozen food, even the vegetables! Unhygienic throughout the seating area. Dirty tables and floor. The food is overpriced for the quality. In the picture you can see 2 soups for 30€. In terms of quality you can argue about it, it's a 7/10. But you definitely don't have to try it again.

My best friend and I have been going there since 2018/19. We first went there because it was the only place in town that sold Bubbletea, and in the beginning it wasnt that good. But Jins Haus really evolved over the years, not only the Bubble Tea but also the food tastes really great now. Theyve really become a great place to eat.

I love the food. Big recommendation: SPECIALTY. I now go there once a week because the food has made me so addicted!! Price performance top. The concept is great, you can pack everything in yourself. Favorite restaurant in all of Darmstadt (maybe not my first choice for fancy occasions). I wouldn't recommend very hot to anyone, everything hurts (but to be fair, it's also "very hot"). All soups can be ordered vegan, highly recommended for vegans and vegetarians.

Super cool concept: You take fresh vegetables, meat, fish, tofu etc. from a refrigerated shelf (pay by weight) and choose a soup base. Then the soup is freshly cooked. Very tasty and be careful: spicy means spicy here ;)

Authentic, very tasty Chinese food like nowhere else in Germany. In addition to the many ingredients, ramen noodles and sticky rice were something different. To start with, it's best to only use the original soup/sauce, because for us, slightly spicy with the sign of a pepperoni is rather intensely spicy 😅 Absolutely great taste experience!!

If you order without MSG (monosodium glutamate), only broth made from water, sugar and salt will be served. That's why only 4 stars. Please include at least one soup without flavor enhancers.

Even putting together the soup overwhelmed me for a moment, but if you don't get started straight away but first watch how the other guests put the soup together, it might be a clever tactical approach :-) So self-service is the order of the day and that can lead to you putting too much effort into it Bowl packs because you may not be able to assess it correctly the first time and the price is therefore higher. But it doesn't matter if there's something left over, I think you can take the rest with you because you can basically do that anyway, so if there's too much going on then just order it to take away. Overall, the concept makes a very authentic impression and that's how it tastes, absolutely addictive!

There are a variety of vegetables including bok choy, Chinese cabbage, various mushrooms and lotus root, bean sprouts, bamboo shoots and sweet potatoes. There are beef, pork, lamb, as well as seafood such as shrimp and squid. They have a wide variety of ingredients available, including tofu, deep fried tofu, dried tofu, ramen, udon, rice noodles, glass noodles, fish cake, and fried eggs. I always order the spiciest malatang and I am always satisfied. It's nice to have plenty of additional seasonings, such as cilantro, peanut sauce, and spicy sauce. There are various spicy malatangs available for you to choose from. They also sell bubble tea that goes well with spicy malatang.

An absolute experience when it comes to eating in Darmstadt. At the fresh food counter you choose your soup ingredients, checkout, weigh, select basic soup (spicy, not spicy, taste), pay, fresh preparation in the kitchen. After a short time you have a large soup pot in front of you. Super tasty, fills you up, at a fair price. Highly recommended, try it out.

I usually go there for soups. They are really good for an affordable price.

The food was good but the staff was incredibly unfriendly! The place was very crowded so you couldn't enjoy the food because you couldn't move! I know it sounds unimaginable, but my elbow was literally with the people at the table next to me! When another table was free where there was some space, the staff rudely refused to allow us to move. That was the first and last time for me there! I won't recommend it at all!

The name 麻辣隔壁 is based on a vulgar pun. It means “What the fxxx!” Using dirty words for the name, I don’t get it.

Very, very tasty and a rare concept for Germany. Be careful, spicy is really extremely spicy here. The biggest downside to this restaurant is that it is too busy and therefore space can be at a premium.

Very unfriendly staff!!! There was a very unpleasant smell in the store, so I couldn't enjoy the food, which in my opinion was just mediocre. In the future I will eat at another Asian restaurant.

Great concept, delicious soups and huge bubble teas! It's better to take less! Max 1-2 pasta portions, otherwise it will quickly become too much. Tom Yum soup very tasty. Price performance unbeatable, bubble tea 0.7l for 4-5€! Tip: Purple Rice with taro milk Edit: a few months later, drove here from Frankfurt 3 more times - not once regretted! Unbeatable in terms of price and taste. Plus, everything happens very quickly, you don't have to wait long for a seat or for your food. We actually have at least 2 of these Malatang stores in Frankfurt, but they come close to this one!

The food itself is good and tasty. But what is absolutely not possible is if the service is super unfriendly. I tried it twice with children and twice the service was completely rude. The second time I just wanted to give the store a second chance, whether the waitress had simply had a bad day before. But no - both times the service (I mean it was even the owner) was super unfriendly - once in the evening and once at lunchtime. Children are absolutely not welcome and it shows. You are very rudely transferred from one table to the other without please or thank you. The gentleman simply grabbed my child's stroller and tried to push it aside without even asking me. When I asked where I could best sit down so that the buggy didn't bother me, he was visibly annoyed. I would definitely rather spend my money somewhere else and not there anymore.

Einzigartig in Darmstadt und immer unfassbar lecker! Die Zutaten sind frisch und es gibt eine enorme Auswahl (ich persönlich halte mich vom Fleisch meist fern weil es mir zu knorpelig ist). Außerdem kann jeder für sich individuell garnieren und man bekommt unbegrenzt Austern- und Hoisinsoße dazu. Das Ambiente ist nicht so schön und es ist ziemlich laut, das liegt aber daran dass es immer sehr gut besucht is. Ich empfehle immer zu reservieren! Die Preise haben es, je nachdem wie viel man in seine Schüssel packt, aber auch in sich. Da muss man vorsichtig sein.

Das Essen war lecker und gibt auch Soße(Suppe) für Vegan. Der innen Platz sind klein und eng, außen Platz auch klein und für kaltes Wetter leider bisschen unbequem. Am besten sollte man vorher reservieren. 👍🏼 Manche Mitarbeiter sind freundlich. Was gut ist bei jede Gemüse/Nudelnsachen gibt eigene Servierzange aber man kann nicht kontrollieren ob das mal runterfallen oder gemischt benutzt von Kunden zwischen für Fleisch und Gemüse/Nudeln. Ich hoffe alle eater/Kunden beachten das auch und falls das runterfallen bitte sofort wechseln oder zum Mitarbeiter geben.

You choose your soup-the flavours are very good. Lately it has gotten a bit more expensive (2,50€ for 100 grams), but trust me, you really dont need that many ingredients to make it good. The soup flavour and the add-on sauces after you get the soup make the difference. Boba is also nice and very quick.

Super leckeres Essen, die besten Suppen Darmstadts. Bubbletea ist ok, aber nicht annähernd so empfehlenswert wie sie Brühen! Man sollte wirklich darauf achten, wie scharf man sein Essen mag, Spezialität ist zum Beispiel sehr lecker, aber auch sehr scharf. Leider kostet vegane Brühe einen Euro Aufpreis. Sollte man in einer großen Gruppe kommen, lohnt es sich vorab zu reservieren.

Wir wurden einfach gezwungen aufzustehen weil anscheinend Kunden gewartet haben Obwohl wir noch nicht fertig waren mit unserem Essen „ihr habt noch 5 Minuten“ ist nh ziemliche Frechheit das in einem Restaurant nicht sein sollte. Der Mitarbeiter hätte das auch anders klären können mit den Kunden die gewartet haben.

Die Suppe ist ausgezeichnet aber leider wird man hier gezwungen 400g an Zutaten zu nehmen, auch wenn man nur die Suppe ohne extras essen möchte, was SEHR schade ist.

Völlig überfüllt, der Wirt tut auch nichts dagegen. Der Laden ist Teilweise so voll, dass man sich nicht mehr bewegen kann. Umsatz steht vor Service. Meine „suppe“ hatte einfach 0% Flüssigkeit. Für Schlappe 10€ eine Enttäuschung.

Ambiente und Service sicherlich ausbaufähig aber ein Restaurant in dem man lange sitzt will jins Haus ja auch gar nicht sein. Gute Auswahl an Zutaten und Soßen. Bezahlt wird am Ende nach Gewicht. Seid vorsichtig mit der Schärfe, in der asiatischen Küche wird gern scharf gegessen und deshalb kann "leicht scharf" auch schnell anders interpretiert werden als man das selbst getan hätte

das essen ist lecker aber service und kundenfreundlichkeit ist "0", das ein essen mindestens 8 euro kosten muss ist beim ersten hinsehen ok aber fragwürdig ..... wenn man alleine isst, evtl ok aber wenn man mit 4 leuten essen geht und eine person nicht soviel hunger hat aber drei jeweils schon über 10 euro liegen ist das bestehen auf 8 euro mindestens nicht ok .... und die 4 person wird nicht mehr wiederkommen weil 25% vom essen weggeworfen wurde ...... und wenn danach eine familie (vater mutter und zwei mädchen unter 10) zum essen kommen und der vater bei 14 euro die mutter bei 11 euro liegen und die beiden kinder bei 5 und 7 euro .... entspricht das keinem service wenn man dabei auch mit nachdruck auf dem mindestumsatz vom 8 euro besteht. das ende vom lied .... von den kindern wird das halbe essen weggeschmissen weil es zuviel ist ..... service ist das nicht sondern nur geldgier! schade wenn so mit der umwelt und unseren ressourcen umgehen muss ..... nur der eigene vorteil zählt ..... danke nie wieder ......

Das Essen war ganz gut, aber das Personal war mir viel zu unfreundlich. Ich wurde gezwungen, einen Kunden vor mir an der Selbstbedienung wegzudrängeln. Allein deshalb werde ich vermutlich kein zweites Mal hier hingehen. Schade. Man sollte definitiv mehr Wert auf das Personal legen!
