We stumbled upon this restaurant by chance after a visit to the zoo. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed. The food was "okay." The place: run-down. Holes and makeshift repairs everywhere. Huge water stains and broken ceiling panels. The so-called and advertised play area was a disgrace. Aside from the fact that the room is too dark, there's only discarded equipment flying around, and the highlight is an ancient, broken, and incomplete electric car (which a child could sit in). The tables are far too close together. The person sitting in the aisle has to get up every time to let the person sitting next to them "in or out." Some of the dishes are completely yellowed. Some still have traces of the washing process and chipped corners. I was so looking forward to crispy, baked bananas. Unfortunately, they were soggy, and I also messed up my dress from top to toe with the honey dispenser, which shot out at the touch of a button. Then I thought: hey, maybe the soft-serve ice cream machine will do something good so we'll at least leave this restaurant with something positive to say. The machine, however, was completely filthy, and unfortunately, it didn't serve what we had chosen. Instead of chocolate sauce, only strawberry residue. What really topped it all off was the stench caused by (I assume) lit coffee powder. The bowls containing the powder were placed right in the middle of the buffet. At first, we thought it was cigarette smoke. A little later, however, the smoke and the smell drifted in our direction. All in all, a very unpleasant experience.

We visited the restaurant with our children on June 14, 2025. Due to the high temperatures, it wasn't particularly busy, but the food was unfortunately a huge disappointment. Two of our children got stomachaches after eating and had to go to the bathroom several times. I personally had the fried pangasius – a strong, foul odor was noticeable from the first bite. The fish was obviously spoiled and inedible. When I reported this to the employee, she was initially shocked – she even jumped back when she smelled it herself. However, she refused to take my concerns seriously and subsequently claimed that it was the normal smell of baked fish. This led to a very unpleasant discussion. After the meal, I also felt unwell, and we had to cut the evening short. We will definitely not visit this restaurant again and unfortunately cannot recommend it to other guests either.

Well, compared to Soest, it's nothing. The service is nonexistent, and the food is just okay. But of all the Chinese buffets I've been to, it was the "worst." I can't really recommend it.

I don't know what else I could want. The buffet is large with delicious cakes and desserts. They even have kebabs, for some reason, but there's a large selection. The ambiance is really nice inside. It looks run-down from the outside, but it's what's inside that counts. I tried most of the buffet and it was good. You can have fresh food prepared. I had fish, shrimp, etc., and I have to say it was really delicious, like it was grilled. Honestly, I don't often give good reviews, but the fresh meat prepared there, especially the fish, was masterfully prepared. There are also many drinks to choose from. Really, for the price. If this were even too cheap for my restaurant, I would raise the prices. What could be improved are the toys in the children's play area. Yuck outside, great inside, and freshly prepared fish, etc., was great. I have a sensitive stomach, which also says the hygiene is very good. Celebrated a birthday there. 5 stars from me, all the best for the future.

The boss was very unfriendly and argued with us that we should pay for one person, especially when it was a baby. The food was also better. After dessert I had to go to the toilet 15 minutes later and had a headache. Not to be recommended... unfortunately.

We came with a friend by coach and the place is very good, there is no problem with the coach, in the future I will definitely bring a Chinese group;)

For the first time here. It was an invitation for my birthday. I liked the food, except the lamb. The lamb meat is not cooked in 10 minutes on the grill they had there, which is why it was raw inside and seemed to be chewing gum. As a result of this, when one of the waiters came to pick up the plates and saw the meat there, he said something like the meat was very expensive and I don't know what else. Well, I kindly invite you to try that lamb meat yourself, placed on a grill for 10 minutes. I didn't like those types of comments, without being relevant, without knowing the situation, at all. Lamb is neither chicken, nor pork, nor beef, so its cooking is more elaborate, especially on a hot griddle. Otherwise everything was very good.

Always very tasty food and very nice staff. The building doesn't look that appealing from the outside, but you shouldn't let that put you off. It's clean inside, the food is delicious and you can feel very comfortable. We drive there especially from Hagen because we always like to eat there.

Contrary to many of the reviews here, which are unfortunately very negative and make you fear the worst, the visit there was very good. The toilets (men's) were not perfect, but acceptable given the busyness of the restaurant. The food was good and there was always enough of it. It was always refilled within a short time when something ran low. The grill preparation was problem-free and always quick. The staff were always friendly and present when clearing away used plates and cutlery. There were no cheap drinks, only branded products, regardless of whether they were alcoholic or non-alcoholic. The ice cream counter, soft serve ice cream and two chocolate fountains (white and regular chocolate) with fresh fruit next to them were also always easy to use.

A fantastic day with the family...the food was delicious, everything was nice and hot, and the service was very friendly. We'll be back....

I ate there, knowing the bad reviews (due to a friend's invitation). The food was okay, though as a vegetarian, there wasn't much choice. It was dirty, but the restrooms were good. You don't necessarily have to go there. There are many better options for all-you-can-eat.

Disappointing and absolutely not recommended. Ambience very run down, cold and unkempt. Everything thrown together from kitschy pieces of furniture. The food is an imposition. If something as standard as fried noodles doesn't taste good, you know. The rest was tasteless, lukewarm and simply not appetizing. The olives were apparently so old that they were inedible. You take your own drinks (1 liter cola bottle on the table). This has nothing to do with restaurants. There was hope for the desserts, but it was immediately dashed when we looked at the "rinsed" bowls for the ice cream. I had to clean the bowls with a napkin. The staff even noticed, but they didn't seem to care. You could write more here but I don't think this store is worth wasting my time. I never actually write reviews but I feel it's my duty to save other visitors from doing so. I've never experienced anything like that before...I think the health department would close down straight away...

A good buffet food temple with the usual familiar dishes. The price of 26 euros including drinks is completely OK. Toilets are clean.

They even have children's playrooms and a huge selection of food. Really great buffet. Something for everyone and so delicious. And a huge restaurant so that everyone can find their own place. Those who prefer it quiet and who are coming with the children can sit right next to the playroom. Only to recommend.

Yesterday's food...beef really tough! Some guests bring their dogs and feed from the table. We've been here a few times and not everything at the buffet has to be delicious. Definitely not recommended! We (2 people) were there for dinner on October 29th, 2024. The shop seems very old-fashioned and somehow outdated. There doesn't seem to be any particular effort made when it comes to the atmosphere. The staff somehow shows zero interest in the guests. Since it was our first time there, I turned to an employee (obviously the boss) for orientation and asked, for example, where we could get the drinks. Pointing her finger toward the exit, she said, “back there.” The idea of ​​accompanying me there and explaining to me that you have to take the drinks in bottles from a Coca-Cola fridge and that the glasses are in a completely different place didn't occur to her. Just “back there” and she was gone. The plates and bowls for the soup were extremely cold, so that, for example, the actually hot soup (starter) was only lukewarm when it was consumed or arrived at the table. For the main course, I took a plate from the only plate compartment with a heat function, although I had to put the top 8-10 plates aside because they were cold. Some of the dishes were still wet and some of them weren't really clean. Likewise the cutlery. So off we went, off to the buffet: the fried noodles were tasteless, soggy, completely oily and lukewarm. The supposedly crispy baked chicken strips were cold and terribly dry and tough. Probably a leftover from the lunch business. But who cares - other than me? When an employee (presumably the boss) came to the table to collect dishes and casually asked if it was tasty, I told him that the pasta and chicken strips were cold. Reaction = zero. Really nothing! The rice was lumpy and completely tasteless, the sweet and sour chicken was something for those with spice allergies. Almost tasteless. The salmon looked good, but was terribly dry and completely overcooked. The fries were horror! Cold, dried out and therefore tough. Also without any spices. The dessert: donuts, jelly (jello), vanilla pudding and ice cream from the wholesale market = completely unimaginative, and has absolutely nothing to do with Chinese cuisine or Chinese dessert. And then there was a chocolate fountain in which you could dip halved bananas or pieces of melon. Incredible. Like at the fair! In the end, we will definitely not visit this restaurant a second time. Although the restaurant's slogan "All you can eat" doesn't really interest me or us, I find the price of €25.90 per person at the buffet completely excessive, despite including drinks. However, based on the experience described, we would no longer stop there even if the price were only €15.90 or less, for example.

What can you say? There are reasons why the “restaurant” changes its name every two years. From the Oriental Palace to the Imperial Garden and now to China City. Went back today for the first time in 4 years and unfortunately it wasn't good. There was a buffet. We were there at 12 o'clock and the food was consistently cold or lukewarm and sometimes so dry that you couldn't eat it. The ambience really shocked me, everything was very old and rancid, it's better not to look under the ceiling , water stains everywhere and everything was poorly prepared, even the buffet wasn't very inviting.... It looks like nothing has been done there for years. Everything kind of thrown together... The staff was also strange, they tried to be friendly, but they came across as very tortured... The only person who made a nice impression was the gentleman at the checkout. There were no female waitresses, or I didn't notice them... Nevertheless, the food tasted quite good and there was everything there in terms of fresh things and meat and what was really good, there was a large selection of drinks, beers (about 6 types) were also included in the price and that's already for 26.00 good..... What I can't recommend was sushi, it had fried onions all over it and it tasted so dry, bahhhh. If you close your eyes and don't have high expectations of the ambience, you can eat and drink a lot there cheaply... And my stomach is fine too :)

The food is really not good at all. For 29€ (Saturday evening price) there's really nothing special and I personally really don't like anything, except for the soft ice cream😅 You can get much better all-you-can-eat buffets in this price range, in which there are no flies, rotten fresh meat (for that... Grill), always filled containers and also delicious food. In the end, the star for me is because of the soft ice cream machine and since you can drink as much as you want included in the price, you can at least fill your stomach with it. The service is normally friendly, as you would expect from wonaders. But not outstanding or anything. During our visit we noticed broken seat cushions, non-functioning air conditioning, lots of flies and smelly coffee powder to repel the flies. Overall, the atmosphere is rather cheap and not really appealing. Colors don't match and are more likely to affect your mood rather than make you feel comfortable.

The quality is definitely better than in a similar location in Hamm, friendly staff - on the subject of ambience: it is a large restaurant with lots of seats and visitors, there are many things you can't do about it, but the windows urgently need to be cleaned 😉.

So really this is one of the worst all you can eat Asians. Except the duck, everything tastes worse than anywhere else. Anyone who looks towards the Ruhr area or OWL will find much, much better. Sometimes a lot doesn't help much. There's a lot of unnecessary stuff on offer with Asian food like kebab skewers, Italian noodles, baked frozen pizza... it's all total rubbish and just shows that you can't impress with the actual Asian food. Sorry, anyone who gives 5 stars here has never eaten at a good Asian restaurant.

I took a short vacation in this friendly city. I have been to many, many buffet restaurants of this type around the world and the food here was simply perfect and couldn't be beaten in terms of variety! The price-performance ratio is awesome in Hamm 😄 Parking right in front of the door, friendly staff, the ambience is tasteless but was completely sufficient! I'd be happy to come back when I'm in the area again!

Buffet really delicious. There was food that was freshly prepared. You chose something and got ready. I didn't pay anything because we were invited. There were 30 people. My sister-in-law paid for everything.

Very tasty, great value for money. We went there for the first time with our 1.5 year old daughter and it was great! Nobody cares if the children wander through the aisles because there are always people milling about through the aisles to the buffet anyway. So someone else from our family would always go “walking” with her and she would be busy and happy that she didn’t just have to sit at the table. I can't imagine a normal restaurant with such small children. The employees joked with her. The food was regularly replenished at the buffet and, as always, was very tasty and varied and always warm. We also think the two chocolate fountains and the ice cream selection are great. A great combo for dessert. You can take your own drinks, from hot water for tea to coffee machines and refrigerators with water, beer, cola, etc. There should actually be something suitable for everyone. The only thing that was a bit of a shame was the children's room. It's nice and quiet at the other end, but it urgently needs to be renovated. A play carpet with a street pattern has been laid, but there is no lighting and so the small room is just dark and smells musty of sweat. There were a few plastic Lego bricks on the floor, most of which were unusable because they were broken or missing parts. Nevertheless, we were grateful for the room that day because it was quieter there than in the rest of the restaurant and it might be good for children to be able to breathe a sigh of relief from the hustle and bustle, although it would definitely be nicer with better air and some light in there were. Otherwise it was a great day, what we would have liked at the end of the day at a Chinese restaurant might have been fortune cookies, especially since it was my birthday that day, but maybe it's no longer common practice to get them these days. Definitely highly recommended for a relaxed community meal, something for everyone and also doable with (small) children.

I can't understand the sometimes quite negative reviews here. We have always felt well served and cared for here. The buffet is constantly refilled, and everything is still available even shortly before closing. The staff moves quickly and clears up regularly. During our last visit there were even two companies and the normal customers here. You don't celebrate a wedding in a restaurant that doesn't offer the same quality, right? And even though it was extremely full, everything was available, there was no rush from the employees, everything was top notch. Of course, Mongolian takes a little longer. We'd love to come back.

The games room is a laughing stock. An empty room... No climbing frame or slide or even light... A few tree blocks in the corner... We arrived at 2:30 p.m. When we left at 5:12 p.m. we were suddenly told to pay the normal evening price, with no indication that you had to leave the place by 5 p.m. to get the lunch price. Like when no one speaks to you. 2 groups behind us had the same lack of understanding and were angry. The food is average at best. The zucchini, for example, is 1 to 2 cm thick! Discs presented. The pangasius fillet is presented in the whole piece. No cutting tools whatsoever. All in all, presented carelessly and in plastic containers... Ambience from the 70s.... No thanks. Positive: Sushi selection surprisingly large and good Drinks selection also positively surprised Chinese buffet extensive and good Starters and desserts were plentiful and available Negative: Cleanliness (e.g. windows, carpet, various dishes) needs improvement Conclusion: Price performance is good, hard to find anywhere else. The whole restaurant is a little old and offers solid food and drinks. Of course there are nicer restaurants, but they also cost a lot more money. We will definitely come back to the large buffet on Saturday evening / Sunday lunch including a large grill!!!

Unfortunately the quality of the food is not good. The meat for the supposed Mongolian grill station is extremely stringy and tough, and the fish doesn't seem particularly fresh due to its noticeably strong fishy smell. The staff is massively overwhelmed. Orders are forgotten or drinks are delivered incorrectly. The finished dishes are over-fried and simply drowned in sweet and sour sauce. Some of the plates were dirty at the serving station and the cutlery also had stains.

Waren seit langem wieder dort. Das Essen war lauwarm und die Auswahl sehr überschaubar.... total enttäuschend...

Wir sind eigentlich häufig hier gewesen , aber amkl Sonntag zum letzten Mal,wir dachten es hat sich verbessert aber wir mussten das Gegenteil feststellen, die behälter glänzen mit trockenen Essen Resten, das Essen wurde auch nicht nachgefüllt, das Personal hat Pause gemacht, und die bestückten Teller zum fertig braten wurden nicht beachtet,die Desert Abteilung war kaum gefüllt oder mit gefrorenen Kuchen . Für uns war es das letzte Mal

Essen war lauwarm, viel deutsche Kost, kein chinesisches Gemüse oder Tofu, viel paniertes Fleisch etc
