Chimaek Mainz in Mainz

The chicken and curly fries were dry and lukewarm at best. After ordering, the wait was 35 minutes. After 20 minutes, it was increased to 1 hour 20 minutes. Absolutely disappointing, and I wouldn't order from here again.

Very good and fast service! The chicken was really delicious. There are many different sauces to choose from, and I even got to try them all before ordering. I'll definitely be back – highly recommended!

I've been there twice. The first time, everything was fine (chicken box). The second time, unfortunately, it was bad (bowl). The food tasted spoiled. As if you were getting yesterday's food. It smelled and tasted spoiled. I will definitely not eat there again.

Wow, absolutely delicious! Pure enjoyment from the first bite! I had the Classic Punch and it was so good. Large portion, various vegetables so fresh and delicious, the meat so juicy, and that sauce 🫠🤤 Great value for money 👍 Incredibly filling and so healthy. The ambiance was inviting, very tidy and clean. The service was great, the girls were very friendly, and the food arrived quickly. All in all, very good. The food was okay. I ordered takeout. However, the pricing is absurd and makes no sense. A chicken meal with a side dish (size M) costs €10. A portion of sweet potato fries with ketchup and mayo costs €12 (sweet potato fries €8, ketchup €2, and mayo €2). I have no idea who came up with the prices, but they're total insane. Conclusion: Not recommended.

I ordered gyoza and tok poki from them. The gyoza were very tasty, but I took tok poki in a spicy sweet sauce and the sauce in them was so sweet that it felt like I was just eating sugar, slightly spicy.

Chimaek in Mainz impresses with its Korean fried chicken, which tastes truly amazing. The portions are generous, the ambiance is pleasantly different, and the service is friendly and attentive – guests feel at home here. One minor criticism concerns the breading: Unfortunately, it's not crispy throughout, but rather a bit soft or sloppy in places. While the chicken is deep-fried twice, which is generally very good, the second frying process could be optimized, for example, by using a higher temperature and a slightly shorter frying time. This would better achieve the desired crispy crust without overcooking the meat. The batter also seems to contain starch, which is commendable. Perhaps an even higher starch content compared to flour could help make the crust even thinner and crispier. An additional suggestion: A few more leeks – either as a garnish or on their own – would add a fresh touch and more color to the dish. This criticism is purely constructive, as the restaurant has enormous potential. It's just a shame that card payments aren't accepted. Otherwise, a definite recommendation for fans of Korean cuisine!

This Korean chicken restaurant is open even on Sundays. They offer student discounts! The restaurant is small, so the smell can be a bit strong. I ordered chicken and rice, which was delicious and reasonably priced. It would be nice if they served it with vegetables.

Been eating this for 2 years. But as time went on the food became more and more tasteless. Yesterday I ate an M box of rice (that was the only thing I ate that day) 2 hours later I vomited bile. I went to the doctor and they said I had food poisoning. It's always been great service. But the food is no longer what it was.

Simply great! I absolutely loved this Korean fast food restaurant. The food was fresh, authentic and incredibly tasty – the crispy Korean Fried Chicken was particularly a highlight. But what really made the visit special was the cashier, Sara. She was extremely friendly, attentive and always had a smile on her face. Her service was quick and professional, and she even gave us some great recommendations. You can tell that she does her job with passion. I will definitely come back and can only recommend this restaurant!

The food itself is very good, but more than half of the dishes advertised on the menu are not available and you are told that they are no longer available here and that you should go to the new store. It wouldn't be a bad idea to change the menu

Damn tasty, but unfortunately also expensive. Why only 2 stars? We come from LU and call ahead to see if there are corn dogs. The last 5(!) times when I called (afternoon to evening) there were never any people there. Maybe prepare a few more corn dogs and offer them if they sell so well..

The food was really great. I didnt expect it to taste so good. The idea of this place is kind of like a street food so the space is small but still worth it.

The food was quite good, however the sauce was of poor quality as I vomited later in the day.

Although I have no comparison to other Korean food, I didn't particularly like the Ttoekbokki chicken. The sauce in particular was too salty and tasted very artificial. Maybe other dishes are better. The atmosphere was also not particularly inviting and it was a bit cold. I also think the prices are a bit too high for what you get.

Unfortunately, I can't understand the numerous good reviews here. I also went to the store to eat because of this review and have had stomach problems and heartburn ever since. Unfortunately it was the first and last time for me.

The Korean Fried Chicken is okay in terms of breading, but unfortunately tasteless, even though there is sauce for the bibimbab. Unfortunately, the tteokbokki is quite dry, and sauce is also served here. Unfortunately it's not enough. The staff is friendly. The store is not suitable for comfortable sitting, so you should keep that in mind.

My absolute favorite shop. The Gochujang Bowl is incredibly delicious and I come here regularly.

The food seems very greasy and quickly prepared (convinece food?). You can still work on the sharpness. Not suitable. Maybe I'm wrong and that's kind of how it's eaten in Korea.

Yesterday we were on vacation in Mainz and by chance found this little shop with Korean food and we were really excited.. Although it is small, it is still cozy, which is normal in Asian countries and the boss and his owners are also super nice... We got the Bao Bun Burger and omg it was delicious... Spicy-soft but good yet crunchy and juicy... absolute taste experience... We would even come to Mainz again just for that... Great class... nam <3

I was there for the first time today with my friends and I am very very very satisfied!!! We ate there and the food tasted great, we even ordered two more portions. The service is also super nice and friendly. We were often asked whether everything was good with the food and even whether the climate was okay for us!!! You really feel very comfortable there and get the best Korean fried chicken. If you are ever in Mainz, it is a must to visit Chimaek!!!! As soon as I'm back in the city I'll go there again🤗🤗🤗🤗
