Chi Keng in Potsdam

Das Essen ist immer lecker und die Mitarbeitenden immer zuvorkommend. Mich hat nur überrascht, dass es sehr sehr wenige vegetarische und Vegane Alternativen gibt, obwohl der Ersatz durch Tofu einfach scheint. Seit Jahren hat sich die Karte nicht verändert. Das ist ein deutliches Verbesserungspotential… Der Seetangsalat für 20 € war zwar lecker, aber dafür, dass es mit Avocado serviert werden sollte, lagen nur zwei kleine Stücke darauf…

Wir haben draußen gesessen und hatten je einmal Nudeln mit knuspriger Ente (weiß leider den genauen Namen nicht mehr) und Nom Tom Du Du Salat mit Garnelen. Der Salat war knackig und eine perfekte Balance aus fruchtig, knackig und würzig. Sehr lecker, sehr dekorativ angerichtet. Preis- Leistung passt, natürlich zahlt man auch die zentrale Lage etwas mit. Service war sehr gut und freundlich. Kommen gerne wieder!

Zu diesem Restaurant muss man nicht viel schreiben, es gehört zum Leben dazu Nachtrag 2024: die Preise sind ungeheuer! Hier hat die Gier zugeschlagen. Unglaublich. Sind seit 2 Jahren nicht mehr hier eingekehrt - jetzt 2026: die Preise haben sich verdoppelt!!

Auf Empfehlung von Bekannten bestellten wir neben einem Hauptgericht eine Sushi Rolle. Die Gerichte waren üppig und sahen gut garniert aus. Die Sushi Rolle mit Jakobsmuscheln, Avocado, Mango, Frischkäse, ummantelt mit gegrilltem Fisch-Teriyaki ist sehr zu empfehlen. Im Gegensatz dazu war die Warmspeise mit Bo Sot Curry (Hüftsteak geschnetzelt und gegrillt Roter Curry) leider sehr schwach. Das Fleisch hat nach Nichts geschmeckt, die Currysauce war gut aber dem Niveau des Restaurants nicht entsprechend, das Gemüse jedoch war frisch und nicht zu weich gekocht. Mein Partner hatte leider ein Paprikastück drin, welches den Stiel hatte. Bein Entfernen des Stiel hatte man den Dreck auf der Paprikahaut nicht entfernt, wodurch die Lust zum Essen etwas verging. Für die Preise und das Restaurant als Finest Restaurant dürfte so ein Faux-Pas nicht passieren. Die Bedienung war nett und das Ambiente war ok, jedoch laut.

Ja, relativ hochpreisig, aber die Qualität passt. In letzter Zeit ist allerdings das Sushi nicht gut gerollt. Das habe ich schon besser erlebt. Mein Favorit ist die Ente. Musik und Lautstärke empfinde ich als grenzwertig, für mich zu laut.

Mein absolutes Lieblingsrestaurant in Potsdam! Es stimmt hier alles. Das Essen hat Spitzenqualität und ist immer optisch ansprechend präsentiert. Der Service sehr schnell, aufmerksam und freundlich.

Ein äußert gutes, kulinarisches Erlebnis. Ich habe selten so gut und außergewöhnlich asiatisch gegessen. Wer klassische Bratnudeln erwartet, ist hier nicht richtig. Ich kann den Bio-Lachs wärmstens empfehlen – auf jeden Fall Medium bestellen. Die Limonaden sind auch sehr gut. Einzig die Desserts fand ich nicht besonders genug für den Preis – das tut der Gesamterfahrung für mich aber keinen Abbruch. Die Portionen sind auch groß genug, sodass es meiner Meinung nach kein Dessert braucht. Der Service ist freundlich und aufmerksam. Das Ambiente ist sehr stilvoll, selbst vor der Toilette stand ein wunderbar duftender Blumenstrauß. Es kann jedoch laut werden, wenn es voll ist.

Wahrscheinlich die beste Pho in der Gegend. Service auch sehr schnell und freundlich. Cooler Laden

Wir gehen hier wirklich regelmäßig essen und sind jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Die Qualität ist durchgehend auf einem gleichbleibend hohen Niveau. Das ist heutzutage alles andere als selbstverständlich. Der Service ist aufmerksam, freundlich und sehr gut organisiert. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Geschwindigkeit: Man muss nie lange auf sein Essen warten, was den gesamten Aufenthalt sehr angenehm macht. Ein absolutes Highlight ist die Ente. So zart und perfekt rosa habe ich sie bisher in keinem anderen Restaurant serviert bekommen. Wirklich außergewöhnlich! Klare Empfehlung. Wir kommen immer wieder gerne!

Ich war bereits in einigen asiatischen Restaurants, doch Chi Keng hebt sich mit großem Abstand davon ab. Es ist ein wirklich exzellentes und zugleich sehr ansprechendes Restaurant. Das Sushi ist vorzüglich, für mich ganz klar fünf Sterne plus. Die Speisen sind immer frisch, die Qualität und auch die Portionsgrößen bleiben konstant auf hohem Niveau. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist absolut gerechtfertigt. Der Service ist aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und wirklich auf zack. Großes Danke an das gesamte Team. Macht bitte weiter so.

Tolles Restaurant welches wir bereits öfter besucht haben. Ganz toller Service: von der Begrüßung am Eingang, zum Tisch geleiten, selbst der Tisch wurde vom Kondenswasser des Getränkes abgewischt, bis hin zum Aufhalten der Tür beim Verlassen - Klasse Es wurden bei unserem Besuch auch sämtliche Schnittblumen im Restaurant erneuert (die "alten" sahen bis dato noch gut aus). Sehr viel Liebe zum Detail. Und natürlich das Essen! Ja, es ist etwas preisintensiv, jedoch konnte man durch die offene Küche die frische Zubereitung der Speisen verfolgen. Am Ende bekamen wir ein sehr leckeres Essen in Form einer mehr als ausreichenden Portion. Wir waren und sind happy und werden bei einem erneuten Besuch in der Gegend das Chi Keng auf dem Schirm haben. Danke an das Service- und Küchenteam!!! Macht weiter so.

Das ist mein Lieblingslokal in Potsdam. Es ist immer gut besucht, was ja immer ein gutes Zeichen ist. Ich war mit meinem Freund hier und wir haben total über die Stränge geschlagen – Pho (eine riesige Schüssel), frittierte Wan-Tan und einen ausgefallenen Salat. Viel zu viel Essen für zwei Personen, wir haben es kaum geschafft, alles aufzuessen 😅 Aber es war wirklich alles superlecker. Freundliches Personal. Fantastischer Service. Das Essen ist immer frisch und voller Geschmack. Ich komme auf jeden Fall immer wieder gerne hierher.

Sehr gutes asiatisches Restaurant. Speisen exzellent und sehr ansprechend angerichtet. Ambiente klar, schlicht, modern. Etwas zu viele Tische/ Sitzbänke, so dass es bei voll gefüllten Restaurant leider auch etwas zu laut ist.

Das Essen hier ist köstlich, der Service ist schnell und die Angestellten sind sehr freundlich und gut gelaunt zu den Kunden.

Ein tolles Restaurant, jedoch war es zu seinen Anfangszeiten deutlich besser. Die Musik im Restaurant ist viel zu laut, so daß Kommunikation mit der Zeit anstrengend wird. Anscheinend ist dass der Plan, die Gäste sollen nicht zu lang sitzen bleiben. Wenn man nicht zu den Stoßzeiten geht, bekommt man einen Tisch, sonst muss man warten da man nicht reservieren kann. (Nur große Gruppen) Ein Glas Wein für 12€ ist nicht angebracht und macht dann auch keinen Spaß mehr.

Tolle Ambiente, super Lage allerdings überteuert. Die Portionen sind allerdings viel zu groß daher ist bei uns zu viel übrig geblieben. Ich hätte mir normale Portion für angemessene Preis gewünscht. Das Essen hat trotzdem super geschmeckt. Ob wir wieder kommen glaube ich eher nicht.

Super lecker, sehr hohe Qualität zu höheren Preisen mit freundlichem Service. Ich liebe es, mit welcher Hingabe die Küche und die Küchenabluftanlage immer sauber gehalten werden 👍🏻 top Disziplin!!! Wenn der Laden nicht so voll ist wird geputzt. Ich mag euch 🧡 weiter so.

Geschirr mit übertrieben großen Schüsseln, allerdings optisch schön,Essen macht jeder Asia Imbiss besser. Außer hui innen pfui.

Hochwertiges Essen vollständig frisch zubereitet

Easily the best duck I’ve had in Potsdam, and among the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s a bit on the pricey side, but the portion is generous and more than enough for anyone. Service is quick and efficient, and the atmosphere is pleasant if you manage to get a personal table— otherwise, most seating is at long shared tables, which comes down to personal preference.

We sat down briefly for a quick lunch, but when we saw the prices on the menu, we got up in shock and left. Dishes between €26-40 Aperol Spritz for €12 No special ambiance or service. Two other Vietnamese/Thai restaurants with reasonable prices are less than 150 meters away.

Excellent Vietnamese food – very friendly staff, prompt service, and super delicious food – presented like works of art. Absolutely excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

A must-go for Potsdam visitors and lovers of good Asian cuisine. They serve delicious, beautifully presented, authentic dishes. Always packed during regular hours, so reservations are recommended… unfortunately, it's very expensive. The ambiance is very modern with lots of wood, concrete walls, and an open kitchen. It's very clean, but unfortunately also loud when it's full.

We had take away Chi Keng mango tuna steak salad. Just testles. No proper dressing, just mango in huge slices, few arugula leaves and one tomato with tuna steak on top. Seriously worst what I have had by Chi Keng so far and the price is 32 euros. We have been so often there and it's for the first time such disappointment.

Overall, we were satisfied. My spouse had duck noodles and really liked the duck. We tried different kinds of sushi as well. I can recommend.

Delicious Asian cuisine, from Chinese to Vietnamese.

The food didn't match the menu, and when asked about it, they shrugged their shoulders. The wine tasted of cork. The prices were way too high...

This was certainly the best meal of my life. Starting off with the location which is phenomenal, the service was very professional and the food was great. The waiters were all traditionally dressed Asians who speak good English and German. The portions are really big and the food is of really high quality. Really recommendable!!!

Here, the price matches the quality of the food. Compared to other restaurants, the prices are a bit higher, but the quality is good. In the summer, you can also eat outside, which makes for a more relaxed dining experience. It can be a bit noisy inside. I found the staff to be friendly.

It was recommended to me several times, we were given a seat and menus, but after 20 minutes, no one still wanted to take our order. We waved several times, but the staff didn't respond and went inside. They quickly cleared the menus away, though, as we were within sight. Two stars because it's a really nice restaurant, and it's been recommended to me many times.

We've been here several times over the past few years because the food and wine were delicious. The service was always friendly and prompt. But on our last visit a few days ago, we decided not to eat here again. The value for money is completely out of whack. We each had a dish with curry sauce. The deep plate the dish is served on is completely unsuitable, as the rice absorbs all the sauce, leaving the rest of the meal quite dry. The duck and fish were good, but we had to order more sauce (as we did before). The dish was described on the menu as "vegetables." Unfortunately, we only found a single piece of broccoli on each of our plates; the rest was green salad. Pure disappointment! The food is otherwise well-seasoned. The portions are generous. The staff are all very friendly and distant. You're not harassed, but subsequent requests are fulfilled immediately. That's how it should be. The juice I ordered, for a whopping €7.80, was sugary sweet, not the kind to quench my thirst! Do they really have to cut costs so much at this restaurant now?! The Italian restaurant next door was packed. Chi Keng wasn't as busy. Apparently, word has gotten around that it's not as good as it used to be. That's such a shame!

Simply overpriced given its central location in Potsdam. The food, unfortunately, wasn't impressive either!

A bit pricey for me, you can't make reservations in advance, and they only give you an audio announcement over the phone. But the noodle soups taste really authentic and good, and the sushi rolls are especially great.

We were a bit surprised by the prices at first, but this was quickly overshadowed by the quantity and quality of the food. Everything is freshly prepared, and you can even see the cooking in the open kitchen. I highly recommend it.

I've been here before during the pandemic and realized that my wages apparently haven't kept pace with the price increases at Chi Keng. Everything is delicious, no question. The service is very friendly and generally averagely motivated. But for a rather meager bowl with a few rice noodles, salad, chicken, and decorative items on a plate the size of a bus driver, almost €24? A homemade iced tea with lime and mint almost €8? A plate of sushi for one €39? One thing is certain: I absolutely have to earn more!

Overall, the best Asian restaurant I know. Definitely on the expensive side, but worth it.

I'm from Potsdam and have been a guest at this restaurant since the beginning. Over time, the quality of the food has declined considerably, but the prices have risen enormously. Yesterday was truly my last visit! The salad was "muddy," and I actually paid €8.80 for a mango lassi!!!!! The music is simply too loud, and if you ask them to turn it down, you get a "tired smile." What a shame, folks, you were actually a recommendation.

Very delicious food with a direct, beautiful view of Luisenplatz in Potsdam. It's a great place to sit outside. The interior is very modern with an open kitchen, wood, and concrete.

We've been coming to CHI Keng regularly for many years. The food used to be absolutely top-notch—a true highlight in terms of taste and quality. In our opinion, it's declined somewhat since then. It's still delicious, but not quite at the same level as it was in the early days. However, the prices have gone up—like everywhere else. 😉. Nevertheless, we still enjoy coming here, even if the "wow" factor of the past is a bit lacking.

Whenever I'm in Potsdam, a visit to Chi Keng has become a must. The food is simply delicious. I'll definitely be back when I'm back. Thank you very much.

This restaurant is definitely worth a visit. The atmosphere is subdued and pleasant. The menu offers something for everyone, and the range of flavors is wide. You'll actually look forward to your meal here, and you won't be disappointed. The portions are generous, and the fresh ingredients are very good.

A must. One of the best and tastiest Asian restaurants I've ever visited (and I get around a lot). It doesn't get much better than this. Been there many times. Unfortunately, the drinks prices are outrageous. 4.80 euros for a bottle of cola is over the top. Also for Potsdam. The star deduction is just for that

Nice place with nice people...had red curry with duck...duck was perfect, the rest of the dish was below average...if I choose a meal for 22 euros, I expect a creamy curry, fragrant rice, a little salad...I got a watery sauce with no taste at all, felt like 1kg of salad, hardly any rice...that was nothing, the same meal is available in Berlin on Schiffbauerdamm 10 euros cheaper and 1000 times cheaper tasty...sorry...

The extremely popular Asian restaurant is particularly busy on weekends. Stylish inside, outside a terrace under old trees on Luisenplatz. Fine dining with corresponding prices, but it's worth it for lovers of very good cuisine. Service is excellent, the only point of criticism is the background music, which you can turn down the volume. Absolutely recommended!

I really liked the service in huge bowls of large dishes. Likewise with great Aperol! The way the dishes are served is a great advantage of this place. We ordered duck and tofu. Unfortunately, the taste is average. Unseasoned tofu (tofu is flavorless). The service was nice, but there was a moment when they rushed us (for which we received an extra drink in compensation) and that is the advantage of this place - people who know what they are doing. Price to quality 3/4. It's worth trying, but I don't recommend vegetarian dishes, they are tasteless.

Nice restaurant with great dishes. I had salmon - shitake, side mushrooms, avocado - tasted great. Fish and herbs are fresh - you can watch the work in the kitchen. Non-alcoholic drinks are great - lots of fruit. Very nice service, very pleasant atmosphere. Gladly again.
