A piece of Paris in the heart of Munich – Chez Fritz! From the ambiance to the food, it's absolutely top-notch! A charming little French gem that immediately makes you feel like you're in Paris. I celebrated my birthday here with my best friend – it was perfect! The service was very friendly and competent, and the wine and liqueur recommendations were excellent. For starters, we had scallops and steak tartare, both incredibly fresh and delicately seasoned. This was followed by a plateau de fruits de mer and lobster – both of an absolutely superior quality and taste. To finish, a crème brûlée, perfectly caramelized and simply divine. The service also provided great wine and liqueur recommendations – super friendly, attentive, and charming. I'll definitely be back – and I'd gladly stay longer next time! Very charming and highly recommended! 🇫🇷🥂✨

Very tasty but the portions are small for French cuisine. So you can plan 2 dishes for the evening. I ordered black pudding with mashed potatoes and my wife fish soup. And for me it turned out a little small, but tasty. So there was also a lyser. Very fast service. The restaurant is all about the food. The bar counter is furnished with tables. There are a lot of people and it is very noisy. You also need to plan if you want something more cozy.

They have a sign outside the entrance listing the items they sell. But when I ordered the foie grass from the waiter, he told me they only have it in the summer. I said, but the sign outside says so. The waiter didn't care. He said it doesn't count. I told him to take it away, but he didn't care. When we left, the sign was still there.

The food was good. Hospitality is unheard of. It was a foreign concept. After we asked the hosts to order a taxi, they told us that it was impossible to order one because of Oktoberfest. So far, so good. We walked around two blocks to the next restaurant, and the waiter ordered us a taxi without any problems, which arrived five minutes later.

We had dinner at Brasserie Chez Fritz in Munich and had a wonderful evening overall. Four of us were seated, and the service was welcoming, friendly, and at times witty, and we felt completely at home. The Viognier was excellent, and the selection of dishes was absolutely convincing – from fresh oysters and fine caviar to king prawns from the daily specials and fantastic steaks. Everything was delicious, beautifully presented, and of excellent quality. The service crew was attentive and attentive, and the cheese selection and schnapps were a lovely way to round off a culinary evening. One small disappointment: Unfortunately, we couldn't stay as long as we would have liked because the tables were double-booked. However, we weren't informed of this in advance. For an evening that cost around €800 including tips for four people, we would have preferred a bit more time and a more relaxed atmosphere – the abrupt end was a shame. Nevertheless: excellent cuisine, a friendly team, and a very atmospheric, typically French ambiance. We'd love to come back – hopefully with a little more time next time.

Completely Over priced. Food is good but not spectacular. We had a reservation and were asked to leave an hour later!!! apparently the table was reserved again (?) maybe they should inform people at time of reservation since we had something to celebrate and wanted to enjoy our meal we’d have gone elsewhere. Yesterday, we spontaneously decided to go out to eat and stumbled upon this restaurant, which was still unknown to us. Luckily, we were able to snag a table for 5:30 p.m. We received a warm welcome upon our punctual arrival. The tables were lovingly and stylishly set, and the pleasant atmosphere immediately helped us melt away the stress of everyday life. The service was extremely attentive, professional, and friendly; we felt completely at ease and well looked after from the very beginning. The food was simply a dream! A huge compliment to the kitchen: With great attention to detail, perfect seasoning, and a wonderful presentation, every dish was a true delight. Everything was just perfect, from the first to the last bite.☺️ Thank you so much for this fantastic culinary experience; we would love to come back!

Service was quick and uncomplicated. The food was good. But unfortunately, the restaurant is incredibly loud, making it almost impossible to have a conversation. Not suitable for dates, but fine for dinner with friends.

The restaurant was recommended by a friend. First, a disclaimer: I'm from Spain and eat fish and seafood often. The food was pretty good. The appetizers were really good (scallops and beef tartare). What was a disappointment, in my opinion, was the seafood platter. Big, yes, but... not that tasty. The sea snails weren't good. I've eaten much better in Spain. But of course, we're not in Spain. It might be good for Munich, but I can't rate it 100%. Still, I can't give it 5 stars. Also, the crème brûlée was cold. The waiter and service were very good. As for the price: we had a glass of wine, a beer, and a bottle of water. As soon as you want to drink wine, the price goes up considerably.

A nice restaurant overall, but unfortunately, the seafood platter poisoned us and we vomited all night. The restaurant didn't respond at all to our complaints.

The wine selection is great and the wines are always at a great temperature. The staff around Jascha is extremely friendly and funny, especially Julian. He crowned the evening. The food was absolutely terrific, despite agreeing to eat for 2 hours. Isn't it right to ask someone to leave after 1.45 hours? The two of us spent 350 euros. If that's the calculation, this restaurant doesn't deserve 5 stars despite the great cuisine.

We like to go to Chez Fritz on (for us) special occasions, several times a year. We are always very satisfied with the quality of the food and the attentive service. We hope it stays that way in the future!!! The ambience outside is excellent. The interior is nicely furnished, but the tables are quite crowded and - when fully occupied - the noise level is very challenging. There is still some room for improvement with telephone or email reservations (feedback).

We were at Chez Fritz on Friday. At first we had a very good impression of the restaurant: great ambience and good service. Some of us ate oysters...and 2 people got food poisoning. What a shame... we were initially extremely enthusiastic about the restaurant, but the aftertaste was bitter. After researching, we are not the first people this has happened to here. Too bad!

Chez Fritz is located in Munich's Haidhausen district, also known as the French Quarter. A very good restaurant in a typically French style. The dishes are excellent, and the menu is concise. I had grilled scallops in avocado cream, simply divine. The main course was grilled meagre with potatoes, vegetables, and clams. The fish was superbly prepared, so tender, and the skin crispy. Yes, that's what fish should taste like. Dessert, of course, had to be a classic crème brûlée. This, too, was beautifully prepared, fluffy and with crisp caramelized sugar. The prices are high, but reasonable for the excellent quality.

Restaurant with a nice atmosphere. cozy shop and the staff is nice. However, the food is miserable. A salad Nicoise that doesn't deserve its name. The soups have no taste and fries like they come from a chip shop. All in all, too expensive canteen-style food. It's a shame because the shop deserves better food.

Great ambiance, one of the best I have seen in the city. Food is great with little exceptions. Waiters and friendly but feedback is not accepted and excuses and justifications appear when feedback is given. That can be improved.

Excellent food, a breathtaking ambience but... How tomorrow's customers are treated... Underground!!! A certain relationship is established ("I'll buy your Pokémon cards from you...little man" something like that)... Prices are negotiated. The family eats deliciously... Afterwards they sneak their way out of this speech and leave unhappy children behind. If you make such speeches to the youngest guests (what that means in a restaurant like this is another matter), they also have to be redeemed... that was all a bit strange and inappropriate...

Excellent food, from the oysters and the confit duck to the lemon tart. Service was very punctual and professional, in stark contrast to the Munich average. The price was within expectations. Recommended, personally I will return there.

Great place for a date or friends out

Great place for groups or a date night! Loved the chice but chilled atmosphere. Waiters were super lovely and accommodating. We had amazing oysters and beef tartare as starters. Best choice. For main courses we chose Beef with anchovies and other seasonal vegetables as well as a duck dish with potatoes. Quality was good however it could be 5€ cheaper per dish but that’s the money for the atmosphere ;) Crème brûlée was fine but a bit basic.

37€ for 5x10cm cod without a side dish with great hip sayings when ordering from the cellar (... that's a great choice 😂) It doesn't help that Joko Winterscheidt sits at the next table and consumes it on Pro7 expenses...

With at least 3 restaurant visits per week and sufficient gastronomy experience, I allow myself a more critical assessment. In mid-August as a walk-in, knowing that we would get the table for a maximum of 2 hours - a nice welcome and a table for 1.5 hours, which was also ok - the outside area was 3/4 full. The waiter comes and we greeted him nicely. Tickets came relatively quickly including water. Then 20 minutes passed without any attention from the visibly overwhelmed waiter. All other tables in his service had bread drinks except for us. When he came after repeated requests - no apology, just stammering. We actually wanted to order appetizers and a bottle of wine. The waiter didn't respond to my questions. Anyone who offers food in the high-priced segment is doing themselves a big favor by providing top service. The other waiters had it better under control, as you could see, and they then served us. The food is without question very good. But after this was the second time that the service didn't manage to bring wine and bread to the table within 25 minutes, let alone even take the order, the willingness to come again is almost zero.

Strange understanding of service! Reservations can only be made by telephone or email. There will be no response to the latter, and with the former you will be referred to a narrow time frame before opening, which also changes at will. So you're always too early or too late. Out of the question!

How the ... dare you?! My wife had reserved a table for us and a couple of friends this evening - she was a food blogger and he worked for a media company. The two of them were there 10 minutes before us, we arrive, greet each other, sit down - then this blonde guy from the team (the one with the thick glasses - already quoted here several times...) comes and points out to us that We (i.e. my lovely wife and I) have been banned from his house since about 1.5 years ago. We were very surprised. At that time he wanted to throw out our dog, which was terminally ill with bone cancer (yes, I still remember that), and we allegedly insulted him at the time. First of all, I think it was the other way around. Secondly, that was a long time ago, our Lucky is now in dog heaven, and you come up with such an ancient Mimimi story? My wife (nice as she is) really assumed that you wanted to apologize for your rudeness back then. Hmmm - let's think about what you won this evening: we carried our total of €400 around the corner to Rue des Halles. Whose kitchen is way better than yours. You made four real friends tonight because of your insolence and small-mindedness. Now you can get some amazing negative PR for free in our extensive circle of friends. Really - do you really think that you are alone in the world with your petty and extremely un-relaxed senior teacher bossiness? Think twice... If you are actually the one in charge here: we and our friends sincerely wish you every business failure in the world. You really deserve it!

Highly overpriced for the hype. Oignon soup is very average, wine glasses are outrageously ovepriced, without speaking of the 42€ for bavette. The service was extremely long, don't take customers if you don't have the capacity. For the price, you'd rather take a trip to France.

I don't think the price-performance ratio is really justified and when it came to tips, the staff was unfortunately very rude and unfriendly to us and asked for more tips (the bill was around €1500 and we wanted to tip €100, which we pretty much agreed to). We were cheekily asked to give more), which unfortunately made us feel unwelcome. The food is OK, but for the price you would expect something special. The vegetarian dishes (both starter and main course) were both forgotten and only brought when requested 15 minutes after the other courses.

It is absolutely recommended, really nice and cool staff, very attentive and friendly. The menu is very clear and excellent - there is something for everyone. The drinks menu is excellent, there's a bit of everything and the ambience inside and outside, we sat outside, totally cozy. It's worth a visit, but please make sure you make a reservation.

I recently had dinner at Chez Fritz with my partner. Food was good, acoustics loud, crowd okay. What really bothered me was one of the waiters. When I asked my friend whether he wanted to sit on the bench or a chair, the blonde waiter with glasses said: “The woman is sitting on the bench”. I really don't feel like making comments like that and I probably don't have to explain the problem. For me it was the last time at Chez Fritz.

Nice French brasserie, the big brother of Petit Fritz in Schwabing. Nice ambience and atmosphere, which really reminds you of France. Still not too loud or unpleasant. Good menu and selection of dishes, as you would expect for a brassiere, although a few classics were missing. I had the Steak Frites, which comes in two portion sizes of the entrecôte. The meat was good and cooked as requested (medium rare), the bernaise was also well done. What was a bit disappointing were the fries: small in quantity, cut too thick and unfortunately soft. The thinner ones please. The service was good, there was nothing to complain about. The espresso was also easy to drink.
