Very cozy restaurant in Haidhausen!

Ambience warm and comfortably furnished. The food, from tartare to seafood and fish, was all fresh and tasted wonderful. Service was very attentive. Everything is great in terms of price

Excellent food, a breathtaking ambience but... How tomorrow's customers are treated... Underground!!! A certain relationship is established ("I'll buy your Pokémon cards from you...little man" something like that)... Prices are negotiated. The family eats deliciously... Afterwards they sneak their way out of this speech and leave unhappy children behind. If you make such speeches to the youngest guests (what that means in a restaurant like this is another matter), they also have to be redeemed... that was all a bit strange and inappropriate...

Excellent food, from the oysters and the confit duck to the lemon tart. Service was very punctual and professional, in stark contrast to the Munich average. The price was within expectations. Recommended, personally I will return there.

Great place for groups or a date night! Loved the chice but chilled atmosphere. Waiters were super lovely and accommodating. We had amazing oysters and beef tartare as starters. Best choice. For main courses we chose Beef with anchovies and other seasonal vegetables as well as a duck dish with potatoes. Quality was good however it could be 5€ cheaper per dish but that’s the money for the atmosphere ;) Crème brûlée was fine but a bit basic.

Great place for a date or friends out

A wonderful place! In summer you feel like you are in Paris, in winter it is beautiful inside. Best food, best service, simply a 10/10! Cheers! 👌🏻

Great atmosphere on a beautiful terrace. The seafood is surprisingly decent for Munich, and I love the Belgian variety of food they offer. A lovely spot for dinner! 🌟

37€ for 5x10cm cod without a side dish with great hip sayings when ordering from the cellar (... that's a great choice 😂) It doesn't help that Joko Winterscheidt sits at the next table and consumes it on Pro7 expenses...

With at least 3 restaurant visits per week and sufficient gastronomy experience, I allow myself a more critical assessment. In mid-August as a walk-in, knowing that we would get the table for a maximum of 2 hours - a nice welcome and a table for 1.5 hours, which was also ok - the outside area was 3/4 full. The waiter comes and we greeted him nicely. Tickets came relatively quickly including water. Then 20 minutes passed without any attention from the visibly overwhelmed waiter. All other tables in his service had bread drinks except for us. When he came after repeated requests - no apology, just stammering. We actually wanted to order appetizers and a bottle of wine. The waiter didn't respond to my questions. Anyone who offers food in the high-priced segment is doing themselves a big favor by providing top service. The other waiters had it better under control, as you could see, and they then served us. The food is without question very good. But after this was the second time that the service didn't manage to bring wine and bread to the table within 25 minutes, let alone even take the order, the willingness to come again is almost zero.

Strange understanding of service! Reservations can only be made by telephone or email. There will be no response to the latter, and with the former you will be referred to a narrow time frame before opening, which also changes at will. So you're always too early or too late. Out of the question!

How the ... dare you?! My wife had reserved a table for us and a couple of friends this evening - she was a food blogger and he worked for a media company. The two of them were there 10 minutes before us, we arrive, greet each other, sit down - then this blonde guy from the team (the one with the thick glasses - already quoted here several times...) comes and points out to us that We (i.e. my lovely wife and I) have been banned from his house since about 1.5 years ago. We were very surprised. At that time he wanted to throw out our dog, which was terminally ill with bone cancer (yes, I still remember that), and we allegedly insulted him at the time. First of all, I think it was the other way around. Secondly, that was a long time ago, our Lucky is now in dog heaven, and you come up with such an ancient Mimimi story? My wife (nice as she is) really assumed that you wanted to apologize for your rudeness back then. Hmmm - let's think about what you won this evening: we carried our total of €400 around the corner to Rue des Halles. Whose kitchen is way better than yours. You made four real friends tonight because of your insolence and small-mindedness. Now you can get some amazing negative PR for free in our extensive circle of friends. Really - do you really think that you are alone in the world with your petty and extremely un-relaxed senior teacher bossiness? Think twice... If you are actually the one in charge here: we and our friends sincerely wish you every business failure in the world. You really deserve it!

Highly overpriced for the hype. Oignon soup is very average, wine glasses are outrageously ovepriced, without speaking of the 42€ for bavette. The service was extremely long, don't take customers if you don't have the capacity. For the price, you'd rather take a trip to France.

I don't think the price-performance ratio is really justified and when it came to tips, the staff was unfortunately very rude and unfriendly to us and asked for more tips (the bill was around €1500 and we wanted to tip €100, which we pretty much agreed to). We were cheekily asked to give more), which unfortunately made us feel unwelcome. The food is OK, but for the price you would expect something special. The vegetarian dishes (both starter and main course) were both forgotten and only brought when requested 15 minutes after the other courses.

Exclusive French restaurant with excellent cuisine in a central location.

It is absolutely recommended, really nice and cool staff, very attentive and friendly. The menu is very clear and excellent - there is something for everyone. The drinks menu is excellent, there's a bit of everything and the ambience inside and outside, we sat outside, totally cozy. It's worth a visit, but please make sure you make a reservation.

I recently had dinner at Chez Fritz with my partner. Food was good, acoustics loud, crowd okay. What really bothered me was one of the waiters. When I asked my friend whether he wanted to sit on the bench or a chair, the blonde waiter with glasses said: “The woman is sitting on the bench”. I really don't feel like making comments like that and I probably don't have to explain the problem. For me it was the last time at Chez Fritz.

Nice French brasserie, the big brother of Petit Fritz in Schwabing. Nice ambience and atmosphere, which really reminds you of France. Still not too loud or unpleasant. Good menu and selection of dishes, as you would expect for a brassiere, although a few classics were missing. I had the Steak Frites, which comes in two portion sizes of the entrecôte. The meat was good and cooked as requested (medium rare), the bernaise was also well done. What was a bit disappointing were the fries: small in quantity, cut too thick and unfortunately soft. The thinner ones please. The service was good, there was nothing to complain about. The espresso was also easy to drink.

Lovely French Brasserie in the most picturesque neighbourhood of Munich. The fish, steak, and oysters and beautifully prepared. Worth ever penny.

We had an excellent meal. Friendly service, good wines, perfect food. Although Google thinks it's a hotel, it's an excellent French restaurant. We look forward to next time!

Not a good experience. There was a worm in the oysters... We complained about it and didn't get a proper explanation. Furthermore, the dishes are extremely expensive. 19 euros for a small salad with nothing special about it is just too much.

Top restaurant in Munich Service was really good, all the gentlemen were on their toes and funny Food perfect.

The two of us were at Chez Fritz about a month ago. The service was consistently top from the first moment to the end! This is not always the case, especially in Munich. Chez Fritz has a typical French bistrot feel, it's a bit cramped but cozy. We each had a starter and main course and a dessert at the end. Everything was very good, I can especially recommend the tartare! The wine selection is equally good. The prices are certainly on the higher end, but you get something in return. We would love to come back!

What is striking is that after a critical review, a 5-star review is promptly added... And with EVERYTHING. This smells like it was bought... We were there 2 times. Once early and once later. Here it is placed in layers. The food is ok. The service is average. It depends on where you sit and who is assigned to you. It's incredibly loud. Avoid Fridays and weekends. There are too many small children with your entourage. Be careful, not the other way around. The fact that dogs are allowed there is such a thing. Here every millimeter is occupied by a table. Everything is packed with people. I really feel sorry for the dogs. Also important: don't wear expensive clothes or ventilate for 1 week afterwards. The trigger seems broken. Too expensive for what is offered.

Prices high, dishes small, tables cramped. Another restaurant where the guest is given the unmistakable impression that they are trying to maximize sales. Apparently you can't expect a main course for 44 euros to fill you up. Unfortunately, people in Munich have already gotten used to the bottle of water for 8 euros, but please serve either a larger half lobster (there was far less than 100 grams of lobster meat on the plate) or a portion of side dishes that correspond to the price instead of the everything that covers it all lobster foam pile. My companion could hardly get up from the table without sitting half on the lap of the next table.

Very good food and extensive wine list!

With many of the reviews here you have to assume that they are paid. If the food can still be described as "French" inspired, the quality of the meat is far from good. But what doesn't work at all is the service. I know that it's certainly difficult to get good staff at the moment, but there has to be something better! As in all Munich stores, where a celebrity appears every now and then, the service becomes arrogant at some point. But guys, you're still service and not celebrities! You should never forget... Some waiters try hard, but the service management is a total failure. It wouldn't hurt to do without two tables and install insulation panels to reduce the unpleasant noise. I'll try again in a few weeks, hopefully I can write something better then.

The food was delicious, but totally overshadowed by a very poor service… My friend organized a prefix menu for his birthday for 12 of us. Unfortunately one person couldn’t join and we informed the restaurant when we arrived. They acknowledged the missing person but never communicated that we would still be charged 12 meals, which we only discovered by looking at the bill. They said we already ordered 12 meals but never provided the last meal, which would have been a wonderful takeaway for the birthday person. Instead they seemed to assume we wouldn’t notice, and then said they couldn’t provide it as a takeaway. I don’t understand how a restaurant can charge for services not rendered 🤯 Beyond this, they spilled champagne over the table then didn’t clean it up and only presented the food options as “beef”, “fish” (because all fish is the same), or “vegetarian”. There are a number of French restaurants in Munich that are just as good and with significantly better service.

Perfect food, perfect team, great service, extraordinary ambience. Looking forward to next time.

Cold snails etc. were disgusting - I never thought I would want to throw up from seafood. The ambient was nice tho, except that it’s tight.

Sehr authentisch französisches Bistro mit tollem Essen und charmanten Kellnern durchweg. Sehr erfrischend in Schwabing inmitten dieser exorbitant stark vertretenen Asia Bowl Gähn Läden. Klare Empfehlung!

Ein super tolles Lokal, habe selten so gut französische Küche außerhalb von Frankreich erlebt. Jedes einzelne Gericht war perfekt. Auch die Wein und Getränke Auswahl lässt keine Wünsche offen. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder!

Wunderschöner Abends mit fantastischer Fischsuppe.

Absolutely buzzing little bistro like restaurant reminiscent of Le Tire Bouchon some years back. Start with their cold, fresh house beer and work from there. Their house red and white is excellent. Delightful, can’t wait to go again.

Als das Chez Fritz aufgemacht hat war echt klasse ja das ist schon ein paar Jahre her,aber nach unserem Besuch neulich haben wir gemerkt dass sich einiges geändert hat. Nicht nur auf der Speisekarte sondern auch vom Service Nicht mehr so klassisch französisch aber dennoch gut und sehr gemütlich. Ich finde die Einrichtung sehr schön,Sie erinnert mich an die Brasserien in Paris.Die Location ist super und preislich eher im höheren Segment aber letztendlich gerechtfertigt

Sehr gutes, französisches Bistro mit klassischer Küche. Als Vorspeise gibt es unterschiedliche Austern, Zwiebelsuppe oder tagesaktuelle Vorspeisen. Hauptspeisen sind neben die klassischen Bistro Gerichten wie Steak oder Blutwurst. Der Service ist sehr nett und sehr kompetent. Die Preise sind gehoben, das Ambiente ist sehr schön.

Erstklassiges Erlebnis im Chez Fritz! Das Ambiente ist charmant und einladend, wenn auch ein bisschen eng, das Essen ist köstlich und die Servicequalität herausragend. Jeder Besuch ist ein Genuss für die Sinne. Ohne Zweifel ein Juwel in München. Fünf Sterne!

Essen und Ambiente wie immer top. Der Service war leider diesmal hauptsächlich damit beschäftigt, die offenbar trinkfreudigen und zahlungskräftigen Gäste am Nebentisch zu umschwänzeln, und immer nur auf mehrfachen Zuruf an unseren Tisch zu bewegen.

Recently dined at Chez Fritz and was blown away. Oyster Starters and Scallops were fresh and flavorful, a perfect start! The Duck Tartar was a culinary masterpiece, expertly seasoned. Steak was the highlight of the night. A must-visit for exceptional dining.

Sehr sehr kinderlieber Service und sehr sehr gutes Essen! Es gibt auch richtig gute alkoholfreie Drinks. Nur die Parkplatzsituation ist eine Herausforderung, also besser öffentlich hinfahren ,-)

Pariser Flair mitten in München, gleichbleibend hohe Qualität, sehr aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, ich habe hier schon eine Menge schöner Abend verbringen dürfen. Mit einem Wort: Mein Lieblingsrestaurant!

Traumhaft zarter Fisch! Einmalig!

Auf der Suche nach einem guten und preislich nicht übertriebenen französischen Restaurant in München. Klappt das? Ja, in der Brasserie Chez Fritz. Dass Wort Brasserie steht für „Brauerei“. Nevertheless gibt es hier auch tollen Wein. Beim Interieur hat sich das verantwortliche Team wirklich Mühe gegeben. Angesprochen darauf, wächst der Maître um gefühlte 10 cm. Zurecht! Das Essen war ein Gedicht. Riesengarnelen, Fischsuppe und Lamm hätte man nicht besser zubereiten können. Man wird hier nicht wie bei anderen französischen Restaurants dazu genötigt Menüs zu horrenden Preisen über viele Gänge zu bestellen Du magst ‚bei Fritz‘ einmal vorbeischauen? Ich wage mal die Prognose, dass Du zum Wiederholungstäter wirst.

- Essen war sehr lecker - nicht billig - aber man bekommt was man zahlt. - Tolle Weine! - Service ist geschult, zuvorkommend - durchwegs positiv - Ambiente passt zum Konzept und gefällt!
