We waited for the order for 2 hours, and they canceled it 30 minutes before delivery — not recommended.

I was always a huge fan of this place, but when I went back today after two years, I was really shocked at what the place has become! The buffet is very dry and tastes like it's been sitting there for hours. The price is way too high for what they offer! €27 for the buffet + a Coke, I'd rather eat somewhere else where it at least tastes good! It's a shame, because a few years ago it was really delicious and the price was great too! We were also the only ones in the store; there was no one else there except the staff! On a Saturday evening!

Never again, we used to always eat here, this time it was a total rip-off, we paid almost 100 euros for three people and the food was terrible, everything was empty and cold, when we asked if it would be refilled we were told yes but nothing happened, my husband had a stomach ache for two days since the new owner came in, everything is disgusting, absolute cheek, the price is a disgrace, please don't eat there

The restaurant was empty on a Thursday evening. The selection had become very limited. It wasn't restocked. I wouldn't recommend it again, even though the buffet only costs €22 per person.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening. The food was nearly empty everywhere, the food which was left was tasting old. No flavour. It is horrible, really horrible. Don't come here. A buffet cost nearly 30 euro. In the end even fast food is better than this restaurant. When there would be the option for zero stars, I would give zero. Please, never come here. Never.

I don't understand the negative reviews, both the Germanized buffet and the authentic Chinese à la carte are very good

The food is only filled when you ask them to and then it takes a while until they do this. The ice cream is almost melted and almost runny and if you ask them to do it you are ignored. The salad dressing is gone when it has been standing for days and the seasoning is almost solid and the food is half gone.

The buffet was empty shortly after our arrival and hadn't been refilled even after an hour. Some of the food was dry, unseasoned, and barely edible. The selection was quite small. Ice cream was more like cream, and sushi was better even at Lidl. After the first drink order, the service didn't come by once, even when the glasses were empty. Some of the tables were dirty, and cutlery wasn't even at the table. Guests were ignored. The decor was very shabby. A Liferando employee helped himself to sushi with his hands. We'll definitely never be back.

We felt deceived by the price of tea: the menu said €4.50 for a teapot, but in the end we were charged €9 because two people drank with us - for a small pot with two tea bags. The portions were also very small. Overall, the restaurant unfortunately seems stingy towards the guests.

1 out of 5 stars – Used to be great, unfortunately now catastrophic We used to regularly eat at Chen's Cooking in Stuttgart with the whole family and were always thrilled. The prices were fair, the service was friendly and attentive, and we felt really comfortable there. It was a regular part of our weekends – we went there almost every week. But unfortunately everything has changed for the worse. On our last visit we were really disappointed and shocked. The prices have now risen massively - a few years ago we paid €8.90 on Sundays, now it's €22.90 per person, and that's without drinks! These come extra – and you don’t even get them. I didn't receive my drink for over 45 minutes even though I ordered it right at the start. The new system with the grill clamps was supposed to improve service - instead it was pure chaos. We had to wait over three quarters of an hour for our food, and when it was supposed to arrive, our plate could no longer be found. Not a single plate was brought to our table, as it was supposed to be. Instead, we had to ask ourselves, follow up - and even argue in order for anything to happen at all. The food itself was not complete, something was always missing. Supplies? Only with discussion. And at these prices? Value for money: absolutely not justified. We as a family will definitely not go there again. It's really sad how much the restaurant has deteriorated. It used to be our favorite restaurant - unfortunately we can no longer recommend it to anyone.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about here... I ordered the food once on Sunday for myself as a light meal because I wasn't feeling well the day before. I have to say that I'm just staying in a hotel here, I didn't have any stomach pains or nausea afterwards. Today I ordered something and picked it up. It looked clean and well-kept there, the lady I paid to was very nice and friendly and the food was, like on Sunday, very tasty 🙂. All in all, in my opinion there is no reason to give such a bad review here!

I visited the restaurant for the first time and unfortunately my first impression was rather mediocre. The buffet cost us €17.70 per person, which initially seemed reasonable. However, the entire concept seemed a bit confusing, especially since the entrance area is connected to a supermarket. We were there around 8 p.m. and the buffet was already partly empty and not well labeled, so you didn't always know what you were getting. In addition, the service was a long time coming and only after about 10-15 minutes did a waitress come to take our drink order. As far as the selection at the buffet goes, I was a little disappointed. There was relatively little to choose from, and the peanut sauce was more reminiscent of semolina porridge than a real sauce. What should be highlighted positively, however, is the freshly prepared food on the grill, which was really tasty and the chef did a good job. Nevertheless, I have to say that the staff were super nice and friendly, which enhanced the experience a bit. With a little more attention to detail and a better selection, the restaurant could have potential.

Avoid, scam when paying, 6€ per person to pay in addition to the flat rate of 22€, for a single glass of ordinary water straight from the tap.

23 Euro obwohl in der Speisekarte und im Internet ca 16,40 Euro stand. Als ich sie darauf ansprach sagte sie ach das sind die alten Preise. Ist ganz schön frech das nicht zu ändern. Für das Geld ohne Getränke ist das ein schlechter Deal. Schlechtes essen und teuer, wie in einem guten Restaurant. Nicht hingehen!!! Lohnt sich nicht!!!

Not recommended...the food is very overcooked...the buffet selection is extremely sparse...the offerings aren't exactly plentiful...unfortunately, I paid €56 for two people for mediocre food...the price-performance ratio is a stark contrast. Definitely not recommended!

The worst restaurant I've ever seen as a chef in 20 years of kitchen knowledge, no joke, a poor selection, the leftover pasta that stuck to the bemerie, the shrimps were so nasty and everything was cold, the ice cream wasn't frozen but some kind of airy liquid. It's not possible to eat a disgusting shop. I wouldn't be surprised if I had fish poisoning tomorrow

Not recommended. Food lukewarm, almost cold. The meat bites like wood from a buffet. The ice cream is liquid. The floor is so sticky it makes you cringe. The furniture is covered in duct tape because it's falling apart. Sorry, I don't recommend this place to anyone. PERIOD

I advise everyone not to eat at this restaurant! The service was unfriendly and the food was terrible! The ice cream in the freezer was runny/thawed, and even when I asked the manager about it, it wasn't removed from the counter. A case for the health department!

A disaster! There were two of us in the restaurant, completely alone, on a Sunday evening. The buffet was simply inedible. Hygiene was also lacking, unfortunately. However, they did take care of the stomachache. €55 for two people, definitely not recommended.

All in all it was a good restaurant for that cheap price. I didn't like every dish from the menu, but at least you get to try it all, and some fried deserts were really good. The stuff is kind and really active for cleaning the table and the dirty plates. I don't get anything Asian or Chinese from the atmosphere or the interior of the restaurant. Go there and try some new food, it's a really good price for what you get.

The restaurant has seen better days. The last time I was there they squeaked doors noticeably loudly. The staff was super nice. The food in the evening buffet was very dry, and strangely enough it was actually good for me. Things used to actually work better here. I don't know what happened here. It's a shame, but I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. But the tea was great.

Paid 17 euros for stomach cramps. Two friends vomited because of the food. I only saw condition once all evening. The food sits there for several hours, the meat is expired and there are hairs and grains of sand in the jelly.

One star is too many!!!!! All tables are cleaned with the same cloth that is left over. Chef constantly coughs into the food without even raising his hand, counter chef rude..... Our table was quickly rearranged for a private party, the counter area is more like the living room of the owner family including children and grandparents. Toilets poorly maintained and it goes on like this...

Extremely unfriendly staff!!! I ordered 2 pasta boxes and what I got was a disgrace!!! The pieces of duck meat were all bone-hard and dried-out end pieces, which had probably been drying in the buffet display for hours... She suddenly wanted €2 for a portion of sauce, which costs €1 extra on the menu, and was extremely upset about it The kitchen had to run for this and couldn't take the dried sauce out of the buffet. All in all, I will NEVER order there again and would advise against anyone who attaches even the slightest importance to quality, service or friendliness.

Not recommendable!!! The buffet is very small and manageable. Little choice. The food was cold and therefore not edible. The sauces have already drawn skin. When it was gratinated it was like eating an egg, you didn't know what was in it. There was nothing labeled what was what. The food didn't look appealing and so people didn't dare to have "fresh" fish prepared, if it was fresh at all. Fruit was dried out and no longer fresh and juicy. The container with water where you clean the ice cream spoon has not been changed or cleaned for a long time. You need sturdy shoes to use the toilet as the floor was very sticky. Actually, 17 euros plus a drink per person is very cheap, but far too expensive for this quality. The only positive thing was that the used plates were cleared away straight away. Well, there wasn't much going on. But I will never eat there again.

This is my worst rating ever but justified, we were there by chance on Tuesday February 27th, 2024… Staff was okay, I would say neutral, not friendly but not very unfriendly, the atmosphere is very old, worn out, a lamp was broken, the tables looked very worn . The worst thing was the buffet, really a 0 star rating if you could give it, the entire buffet was cold so not lukewarm but cold, the sauces were totally disgusting there was a layer like a skin with the milk on top... the food tasted really terrible . My feeling is just yuck, never never never again

So the food is just great. We go there every few months. What is simply outrageous are the new prices and although there are different prices for children, some of them are charged for an adult. It is also not justified that children aged 12 and over have to pay in full for the portions they eat.

As a Chinese woman who has lived in Germany for 25 years, I can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. We have only been visiting the restaurant for about six months, after the Chinese school that our two children attend every Saturday moved nearby. What we find to be an absolute highlight is the hot pot and the very original dishes from the Hunan region, some of which are also offered as a buffet. The typical buffet dishes such as breaded chicken and fried noodles are also offered there. I have to say, as Chinese we hardly eat these and the restaurant doesn't seem to attach much importance to the Germanized "specialties". That's why I can understand the bad reviews about it. If you want to eat authentic Chinese food from the Hunan region, we highly recommend ordering something from the menu or simply trying the hot pot buffet. I'm currently not sure if the menu for the original meal is only in Chinese. In this case, let the nice boss recommend something to you. If you are used to typical Asian buffet in Germany that doesn't have much to do with Chinese food, this restaurant is probably not a good choice…

Wir gehen seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant und am Anfang hätte ich auch überall 5 Sterne gegeben, doch leider ist es immer "schlechter" geworden. Das Buffet ist sehr geschrumpft somit auch die Auswahl. Leere Schalen wurden sehr spät aufgefüllt und dann wurde auch das frische Essen auf das alte gekippt. Speisen in der Theke sind nicht mehr beschriftet, was es Allergikern die Auswahl erschwert. Teller sind schmutzig im Spender und zusätzlich spielen die Kinder noch mit den Tellern ohne, dass das Personal etwas sagt, das geht gar nicht. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht, aber überfordert. Der Eingangsbereich ist unsauber, überall liegen Zigaretten und Müll, so etwas macht keinen guten Eindruck. Fazit wir waren das letzte Mal dort.

Wir waren mit unserer Feier das erste Mal bei Chen. Wooow. So ein großes und reichhaltiges Angebot. Wir hätten gemütlich mehrere Tage bei Chen sein können. Denn wenn man möchte das sich der Geschmack so richtig entfalltet, nimmt man immer wenig. Wir waren sooo satt und haben noch so vieles nicht probiert. Ja-wir kennen Vieles aber wir wollen wissen, wie es bei Chen schmeckt. Das, was wir gegessen haben war richtig super.

Essen war leider kalt, eine Beschreibung der einzelnen Behälter was drin ist wäre toll, der Boden war sehr rutschig und auf der Damentoilette war vieles defekt, geschlossen, leer und es gab kein Klopapier.

Ansich war das Essen ganz ok aber lauwarm. Der Reis war hart. Weiß nicht ,ob das so muss. Im WC war kein Toilettenpapier.Was schon problematisch ist. Vom Preis her war es absolut Ok.

Das Essen ist ansich lecker nur nicht zu viel Auswahl als bei anderen, was auch ok ist. Nur das Restaurant selbst brauch mal ein neuen Anstrich und neue Möbel und die Sanitäranlagen müssten auch mal gemacht werden

Das Essen ist wirklich gut. Man muss ein bisschen selbstbewusst und unempfindlich sein, dann kann man sich hier echt Wohl fühlen. (z.B. es wird vorausgesetzt, dass Mann von Buffet essen will; die Karte kommt erst auf Nachfrage; Abends wird laut singend geputzt..) wir hatten unseren Spaß und somit damit kein Problem.

Naja, war nicht so prickelnd... Büffee ist aber ganz annehmbar.

So ein asiatisches Restaurant habe ich noch nie erlebt. Es gibt sowohl Buffet als auch die Möglichkeit, seine Zutaten selber zusammen zu stellen und dann zubereiten zu lassen. Diese beiden Optionen funktionieren richtig gut und sind preislich auch absolut okay. Wir wollten allerdings per Karte bestellen, da für Magenoperierte ein Buffet leider nicht sinnvoll ist. Wir mussten ewig auf den Service warten, dieser war auch reichlich "durch den Wind/unkonzentriert". Beinahe ein Getränk vergessen, die letzte Bestellung von uns 4en mussten wir aufdrängen, sonst wäre diese gar nicht aufgenommen worden (weil nicht gefragt wurde). Das Interieur ist... sehr rustikal... aber okay. Allerdings würde ich nur wiederkommen, wenn ich wirklich Hunger hätte.

Reichhaltiges Buffet, netter Service - Preis-Leistung passt 👌

点菜的味道非常好，在德国算很正宗的湘菜了，非常推荐牛杂锅，白辣椒系列，猪肚鸡，米粉也很好吃，而且价格也很公道。就是服务上菜稍微有点慢，好在一次性会上好几个菜，不太饿的时候稍微等等也没事。

Das Restaurant macht auf den ersten Blick einen durchschnittlichen Eindruck. Nach längerem Aufenthalt bekam ich allerdings eher den Eindruck, mich in einer Kantine zu befinden. Die (überforderte) Servicekraft packte sämtliche Gläser und Teller auf einen Servierwagen und fuhr somit quer durch das ganze Lokal, sodass der Geräuschpegel extrem hoch war. Unsere Getränke bekamen wir erst 25 Minuten nach dem Platznehmen. Am meisten schockierte mich allerdings das Buffet. Für die relativ geringe Auswahl an Speisen sind keinerlei Beschriftungen vorzufinden, vor allem bezüglich der Schärfe des Essens. Honig für die gebackenen Bananen und Pudding wurde in eine uralte Ketchup Flasche umgefüllt, die zudem schon seit längerem abgelaufen ist. Auch das Wasser für den Eisportionierer könnte häufiger gewechselt werden. Ich selbst habe über 5 Jahre in China gelebt und weiß , dass es in den Restaurants dort rustikaler zugeht. Hier hatte ich jedoch Angst, dass ich evtl unreines Essen vorgesetzt bekomme.

Nach einem Vormittag im Porschemuseum ging ich zu Fuß auf Essenssuche und fand das Chen's Cooking Wok&Grill an der Stammheimer Straße - Gott sei Dank! Superfreundliches Personal, ein Riesenbuffet mit leckeren Zubereitungen - einfach die perfekte Ergänzung zu dem Museumsbesuch - gerne wieder !

Das Essen war in Ordnung. Jedoch die Hygiene in diesem Restaurant ist ekelhaft. Essensreste liegen auf dem Boden. Die Teller wurden vor den Gästen auf einem Servierwagen vorgereinigt und in Eimer entsorgt. Ein sehr ekelhafter Anblick.

Erst mal das Positive: Die weibliche Bedienung war ganz nett im Gegensatz zum Koch. Das Essen, Publikum, Ambiente, gruselig. Alles hat gleich und nach nichts geschmeckt! Für Vegetarier total ungeeignet! Frühlingsrollen ohne Füllung.......... Aber eh egal, hat genauso schlecht geschmeckt wie alles andere auch. Zuhause erst mal einen Schnaps getrunken..............
