I wouldn't order delivery here again. I ordered a green pepper dish, which according to the description does not contain eggs. I received a really bland dish with what felt like only noodles and chili peppers and eggs, which I am allergic to. Fresh green peppercorns, which I was looking forward to, were not included. 11.5€ thrown out the window. Thanks for nothing.

The number 80 with extra vegetables has been my favorite on the menu for years. The quality hasn't changed since I can remember and the price is a steal.

Delicious, fresh, good sized portions. The red curry is very tasty and all the duck dishes are great. Duck is made crispy on the outside, tender inside. Great value for the price!

Update December 10, 2024: That one evening of chaos turned out to be an exception. The food is very tasty and worth the money... But if you order here by phone and they tell you that it will 'be ready for collection in as long as you like from 1 hour at the earliest', then don't rely on it. I ordered here by phone on a Sunday evening today and then had to wait almost an hour longer than I said in the phone call. Half the restaurant was full of pickups, many of whom were already 30 minutes overdue. Of course, the atmosphere for eating on site suffered quite a bit as a result. In addition, they have currently decided on a very bluish, cool lighting, which I personally find uncomfortable.

11/10 points, great food. Ambience is okay but nothing for nice dining. But that's not the claim either. The aim is to have great food and a good delivery service.

Everything used to be better... With the move to the new store, EVERYTHING somehow got worse. The food has become more expensive, the portions are significantly smaller and the waiting times are sometimes unacceptable. I've been here a good 10 times since moving - on average you wait half an hour for your food and all the food for the group comes at different times. It never used to take more than 10-15 minutes. The last time it came to a head when there were three of us there. After 40 minutes the first meal came, after 55 minutes the second (the first one had already finished eating) and after another 5 minutes the third. I can't understand what happened - before the move it was definitely the best Thai in Cologne. Now you get annoyed and disappointed every time. The atmosphere has also deteriorated, it used to be an authentic Thai snack bar, now you're wondering what you want to be? Restaurant or snack bar? The food itself is still excellent, but there is now so much to recommend not going to your place anymore…

I've been coming here for years and always order the same thing. BUT: Since you moved... WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? My salad today was almost without dressing and there was also a thick piece of angular plastic in it, which I luckily noticed while chewing. That could have ended badly... Otherwise, you know it anyway, you are the best Thai... but if this happens often, then I won't eat from you anymore... Hopefully you'll catch yourself again...

Danger! The delivery service has become so terrible that we have been waiting for our food for over two hours for the second time. The restaurant is difficult to reach by phone and if you are lucky enough to get through, you will be blatantly lied to about the food you ordered and the delivery time. It's a shame, because the food is actually really delicious and that was different... today will be the last time we order there.

Unfortunately we waited OVER 2 hours for the food and then the side dishes were also cold. Changthai has therefore lost us as customers, what a shame!

Incredible delicious authentic flavors. Having lived in Bangkok for 4 months. I was very pleased to find such authentic food away from Thailand. The experience is interesting,a bit chaotic with no frills. Just delicious food, big portions, and a very good price. Order and pay first. Grab your own drinks from the fridge. Utensils and etc you can grab on your own. Parking in the neighborhood is a nightmare. I would definitely come back again.

What's the deal with delivery? Just because the reputation is so good, you can't afford to fool people like that. Waited 1/5 hour. After an hour it was said that food would be delivered by the next driver. When I read the reviews about this, I was blown away myself. There were a lot of orders waiting to be delivered. They will probably wait until there are enough and then deliver. That's probably why they're not available at wolt or Lieferando. You have to be on time. Things are going perfectly on site and the store is full. Then just leave it with the delivery.

Absolute impudence! I have always ordered from Ehrenfeld. Food for €10 would be delivered without any stress. Now I live in Bickendorf, 1km further away. First attempt to order... After 30 minutes I would be called. We don't deliver the order because the driver said it would be 40 minutes one way. According to Google Maps it was exactly 15 minutes. I reported this by phone, they checked it themselves and apologized. The boss would call me again personally and clarify the matter with me (never happened). Today the second attempt. After 50 minutes of waiting I get a call and am told that the food is not being delivered and it has been canceled because it is too far away. After I explained that it was a 15 minute drive, they said that it was too far away and that I had to order for at least €60-70. And I won't get my money back until 2-3 days even though it was paid via Paypal. I wonder what's going wrong? Then change your stupid homepage and the ordering process. Now I'm sitting here for the second time without eating and looking into the tube. Other than that, the food is always excellent.

One thing in advance: the food basically deserves 5 stars, which is why I have been enjoying eating or ordering food there for a long time. Always problem-free and great service so far. But lately it's really been taking too long and after the food arrived yesterday after more than two hours, barely lukewarm and then defective, I'm really disappointed now. One thing in advance - the best food is here. Normally I order to take away locally - but today (tired from driving home from vacation) I ordered. When I asked how long it would take, I was told that I should expect at least 1 hour. After more than 1 hour I asked by phone and they said the driver was on the way...another 45 minutes later the driver called and asked for the address (which I then sent him via SMS)...after 2 hours (after 9:00 p.m.) we got our food. I wasn't aware (and I couldn't read it anywhere) that you pay a delivery fee of €5 - because instead of €32 you were charged €37. At least the food could have been warm. I'm really disappointed this time. Perhaps to be fair you should no longer accept orders after a certain time or order/customer volume... Nevertheless - he is and remains the best Thai.

Over 1 hour waiting time! At the beginning it said 40 minutes, then we came after 40 minutes and it said again 10-20 minutes, but it became another 25 minutes. No apology or anything like that from the service, just a “What should we do?” They all seemed completely overwhelmed, haphazard and rude. The food itself was delicious and the portions were large. Es hat sich nach dem Umzug wenig geändert wenn man davon absieht, dass ggü. der letzten Speisekarte alle Gerichte um mind. € 2,— verteuert wurden. Bei einem Glasnudelsalat von € 5,— auf € 7,— zu gehen, das ist richtig frech. Bei den Hauptgerichten ist die % uale Steigerung wegen des höheren Ausgangspreises natürlich geringer. Gut, es schmeckt und alles wird teurer. Man sollte aber die Tassen im Schrank lassen.

Best Thai in Veedel? Top quality for many years, good team, always freshly & deliciously prepared! My recommendation: Phad Sie Iew with shrimp (G) and extra fried egg (see photo) or baked chicken (J) or the classic 31 G green Thai curry with shrimp. The new store is beautifully decorated. The long-time regular customers are happy 🙂

The food tastes good, but the delivery service is an absolute disaster and the employee on the phone is nice but not honest. By default it starts by communicating a waiting time of 45 minutes. It has sometimes happened that the food was delivered in less than an hour, but you are well advised to call after waiting an hour to inquire about the status of his order. The demand is then the starting signal for a parade of excuses: - The food was not ordered to be delivered, but rather to be picked up (even though you provided your zip code with your cell phone number for delivery) - the food is already on the way. A further inquiry after another half hour can then result in the - Call is no longer answered or - the order can no longer be viewed in the system, etc. The entire procedure, which involves storing the postal code and cell phone number for the driver, who then asks for the exact address by telephone, is also being copied all over the world in vain. Now the food is finally here after two hours and five calls, but the specific information about the dish has been lost again. So the delivery service requires you to chase your own food!

We waited almost 3 hours for our food!! We called several times and when someone finally answered the phone we were told the driver was on his way - but he didn't arrive for another 45 minutes. Apparently peanut oil was used in my food, even though I have a nut allergy and had specifically written that please don't use nuts! Tofu was also missing... The cherry on top was when the delivery person said to me (after he finally came after 3 hours) that next time we should order at least €50 for a delivery - a worse experience is real Hardly possible - there certainly won't be a next time

I can't understand the "hype" surrounding this restaurant in Sülz after moving. Yesterday I ate a specialty with chicken and cashew nuts. It took a long time for the food to arrive. The meat tasted bad to me (probably cheap mass-produced meat), the carrots/vegetables were pre-prepared; almost everything from bags or from wholesalers. Soy sauce laff. The atmosphere with a huge queue was catastrophic. Too bad; because I had different expectations here!

Ich kann den "Hype" um dieses Restaurant in Sülz nach Umzug gar nicht nachvollziehen. Ich habe heute eine Spezialität mit Hähnchen & Cashewnuts gegessen. Es hat lange gedauert, das Fleisch schmeckte mir schlecht ( wahrscheinlich billiges Massenfleisch), die Möhren /Gemüse vorgefertigt aus dem Grosshandel. Soy Sauce laff . Die Atmosphäre mit einer riesigen Wartschlange katastrophal. Schade; ich hatte hier eine andere Erwsrtungshaltung!

The food is amazing. Absolutely authentic Thai food. So far there hasn't been anything on the menu that wasn't tasty. Service is always friendly despite the sometimes crazy volume. It's more of a snack bar than a restaurant, which is why the atmosphere is so-so. But you shouldn't expect anything else from a snack bar. I've always had the food to-go.

Best Thai snack in Cologne without chichi....Food absolutely delicious, super friendly boss, value for money is definitely right. Attention: addictive. That's why never go to the crime scene on a Sunday evening, because you'll have to wait in line for a long time!

Food is okay but somehow not 100% authentic. Papaya salad is without shrimp, for example. The Phad Kraphao here is made without Thai basil and without eggs and is cooked with strips of beef instead of the classic minced meat and many other strange things. Although there are tables and waiters, you have to order inside yourself. The food is brought to the table but the cutlery is not - you have to get it yourself. Very strange system.

Waited over 2 1/2 hours for the food, driver said “that's just how it is on Sunday” - ok. What's not ok is that, on the one hand, the wrong food was delivered and, on the other hand, the soup completely leaked out and spread into the rest of the food.

I ordered Pad Thai with baked chicken on site and waited for my food. After a few minutes had passed, an employee informed me that my food was already ready and that I could take it from the counter. It was strange to me that it happened so quickly, so I asked again, just to be on the safe side, whether that was my order and whether chicken was also included, this was answered in the affirmative... I arrive home with a growling stomach and only see a small portion fried noodles and no trace of chicken. After several calls (15 minutes before closing time) no one answered, so very disappointed with the service!!

The Pad Thai was a big pile of noodles stuck together in a sweet and sour ready-made sauce that completely lacked the typical flavors. The duck was completely dry, the coconut soup was white but completely tasteless. The service was totally overwhelmed, we only received our two dishes after 40 (!) minutes or picked them up from the neighboring table because they were served incorrectly. Definitely not Thai, rather low snack level.

Very tasty, fresh food prepared a la minute. The ambience is ok for a snack with the possibility of eating outside at the tables on Berrenrather Strasse when the weather is good.

Order online for 12:00 p.m. came after 12:30 p.m. The food was advertised as having chili 🌶️ but it was way too spicy 🥵 🌶️🌶️🌶️ There was celery in the food, which wasn't there before and I don't like it either. The driver was very friendly but unfortunately the food wasn't really edible. This used to be the best Thai snack bar in Sülz, but unfortunately it is no longer there. I have been to Thailand many times and know the food very well, but what is currently on offer here is no longer what it used to be. It's a shame but it's the last time I ordered because it wasn't the first time we weren't satisfied.

Have ordered to the university clinic. 1. The food wasn't brought up, we had to come down and pick it up 2. In my dish Gäng Massaman (with chicken), the chicken was completely missing. Something like that shouldn't happen. Everyone has to save, yes. But please not like that. Actually it was tasty, but poor service and missing components only result in 3 out of 5 points.

Ich hab hier seid Jahren u.a. meinen Papaya Salat geholt, leider ist wohl die Rezeptur verändert worden oder die Köche haben gewechselt. Ist immer noch lecker, aber schmeckt definitiv anders. Heute waren auch nur Herren hinter der Theke, sonst waren hier auch Damen. Fahre dafür immer durch die halbe Stadt.

Super laden gerade für mittags - der Laden ist immer gut besucht -> zeigt wie gut vielen Kunden das Essen gefällt. Ich kann die 4 und 36 mit Ente empfehlen.
