The Tom Kha soup is really excellent, the Pad Thai was good but very expensive! The portions were generous, the staff was friendly, and the service was quite fast.

The food here is pretty good overall. You can't go wrong here.

Hi. I ate there for the first time. A friend recommended it to me, and I have to say, I haven't had such good Thai food in a long time. The portions are large, and the quality of the food is second to none. The waiters and service were also very good and attentive. The place was a bit small, and the tables were a bit close together, but otherwise, nothing to complain about! I'd love to come back!

In my opinion the "best" Thai restaurant in Cologne, which is also reflected in the reviews. I've been to many here since I moved here, but at Bangkok the starters and main courses and the mango sticky rice are fresher and tastier than at the competitors. Everything is beautifully presented and always smells wonderful. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Even when it gets busy and stressful, they try their best and you can tell. Spring rolls etc. are hand-rolled - I saw it with my own eyes - not frozen junk. You often need a reservation on weekends and a bit of patience during peak times. It's a restaurant, not a fast food joint. I always enjoy coming here and have therefore decided to leave a review.

I was absolutely thrilled. The food is incredibly aromatic. Each dish is perfectly seasoned and tastes authentic, just like in Thailand. You can tell that the food is cooked with fresh ingredients and lots of love. The atmosphere is warm and informal; you immediately feel welcome. The menu is quite extensive and varied, ranging from classics like Pad Thai and curries to dishes you'd rarely find elsewhere. The decor is just like you'd find in Thailand. The atmosphere was pleasantly familiar, and the service was friendly.

This restaurant doesn’t even deserve 1 star. The ambience was so bad, the service was so poor. We had ordered drinks. The drinks were not good, the snacks were not fried well and our food was delivered after a good hour. Then when the food was delivered, it was wrong and then there was hair in the food. We decided to leave. The ending was bad since she called us instead bad clients, other clients were complaining too. Very bad experience!!!!

At first, I was a little annoyed because things were a bit slow. When we entered the shop, it took quite a while to get a table, and it took even longer to get our drinks. The owner/manager was alone in the shop and didn't let it get to him. When it was finally our turn, he took all the time in the world for us, while other tables were waiting for something, which I found positive. The food selection was generous, and the papaya salad and curry were very good, even a bit better than expected. I would go back anytime.

We arrived with high expectations. After all, Bangkok is one of the last highly rated Asian restaurants in Cologne. The ambiance is very Asian restaurant style, perhaps a bit too much. The seating is a bit too close together. The staff is all very dedicated and well-organized. The food was simply delicious and, at least for the most part, authentic. We have a new Thai restaurant!! The first truly authentic Thai meal outside of Thailand! It was simply delicious…Som Tam, Laab Gai, Kra Phao, Khaoniao Mamuang…everything is highly recommended! Top-notch service, too! We traveled all the way from Düsseldorf and will definitely be back!

I came across it by chance: The outdoor advertising advertised a cheap lunch special. I read it, was hungry; why not? I've driven past it often, but never been there. They had kauw pad with chicken. I was here for the first time today. The server was very friendly and the food was delicious. It could be a bit spicier, but they add extra chilies, and if you ask, he'll definitely make it really hot. If I'm in the area, I'll eat here again.

The fried vegetables (starter platter) were very dry and sticky, the cap on the bottle of Apollinaris was already broken, and they charged an extra €3.50 per person for fried rice instead of boiled rice. Otherwise, the Bangkok duck was good.

We were there on a Tuesday right after opening at 5:00 p.m., so the restaurant was naturally empty. By 7:00 p.m. it was very busy. The meal with the appetizer was a lot; we couldn't finish it all, so we had it wrapped up. There was no extra charge for wrapping. The selection is large, fresh, and authentic. The best food of any Thai restaurant we've visited in the Cologne/Bonn area. Cocktails are offered, and there's also a happy hour. The service is very friendly and engaging, and they spoke perfect German and English. When the restaurant was full, it took a while to pay. They apologized politely; there were a lot of guests there at that time, despite it being a Tuesday. You should make a reservation; it's not a huge restaurant. The decor is in Thai style, with bamboo/wood and typical Thai figures and accessories. The restaurant doesn't offer its own parking spaces, which are in short supply in this Cologne location, so you have to search for them and pay €1 for 15 minutes. Locals may find cheaper parking nearby. Due to the delicious and fresh food, wide selection, friendly service, and reasonable prices, this is a top recommendation for Thai food. You can view the menu, including prices and opening hours, online to get an idea. The restaurant is on the ground floor; I don't recall any steps, so it's definitely wheelchair accessible.

An absolute gem! The duck curry and veggie rolls had such distinct and delicious flavors—definitely a must-try. The prices were surprisingly reasonable for the quality of food. The staff were super friendly, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. Perfect spot for a great meal with a relaxed vibe!

Friendly service. The food, however, is disappointing. A lot of it is deep-fried (and thickly!) breaded, for example, the vegetables in the appetizer. You get a much too large lump of greasy vegetables held together by breading – completely unseasoned. The "crispy perch" was also very disappointing; it also emerged from the fryer, hard on the outside and dry on the inside. A shame.

We had to wait an hour and a half for our food today (with a toddler). All the other tables around us were served, and the restaurant wasn't very busy. It's a shame; we had high expectations and were completely disappointed. We ended up taking the food with us, but the quality was, unfortunately, mediocre at best.

This was our second time visiting the restaurant. The first time, we didn’t have a reservation and were only given an hour to dine. But the dish we ordered then left a strong impression. Service was good, the food was fresh, and I appreciate the effort from the kitchen. We ordered papaya salad, Tom Yum Goong, fried pork with basil, green curry, and two drinks. Each dish was impressive at first bite, bursting with sweetness, sourness, and spiciness. However, it felt like each dish was performing its own solo act rather than being part of a cohesive ensemble. Sweetness stood out across the board, especially in the Tom Yum Goong and papaya salad. Both the green curry and fried pork with basil were labeled as medium spicy, but the pork dish was much hotter, authentic heat, a bit overwhelming. One thing I really appreciated was how they prepared the meat. It was tender, fresh, and worked beautifully with the sauces. Definitely a highlight. The first impression from the outside doesn't seem inviting at first, but as soon as you enter the restaurant everything seems authentic and inviting. The service was friendly and spoke very good German with a Cologne heart. The food was fresh, tasty, more than sufficient and typically Thai. The cocktails were delicious. We'd love to come back.

Everything took a little longer, food arrived late, some people already had everything on their plate, others waited for minutes. Food was there before the cutlery, so it had to be added later. Authentic Thai restaurant with extremely friendly staff on the phone and during service. The staff was very cooperative with the table layout for 9 people. Everything was freshly prepared. We were a group of 9 and we had a really good meal, the kids also enjoyed it. If you really want delicious Thai food, I definitely recommend this restaurant! If you come to eat here I definitely recommend: number 112 (the duck), the fried rice and the Phad Thai.

For many years, Bangkok was our favorite Thai restaurant in Cologne, but that's sadly history. The once delicious Laab Ped Udon is now served worse than any snack bar. Minced meat, barely any herbs, chilies, toasted rice, or dressing—all missing. Upon inquiry, it was confirmed that this was the dish. Apparently, a new team. I wish you all the best and hope for better kitchen performance soon. You've lost us as long-standing customers.

I ate it again after a year. It was not as spicy as before, but it still tasted good! Every dish we ordered was delicious and very spicy. If you can’t eat spicy food, be sure not to order dishes marked with 3 🌶️! Recommend the shrimp here, it tastes very fresh! The fried vegetables are also very good!

Unfortunately, I can no longer give a positive review. We've been going here for over 10 years. I've rarely had such a bad duck. The starter only had two sauces. We had to wait over 40 minutes for the starter, even though the restaurant was almost empty. Unfortunately, I can't give the staff a positive review either. The food is served on increasingly smaller plates and isn't even warm anymore. It's all a real shame, because it used to be really good. The owner has probably changed; there's no other explanation.

Ordered takeaway. The food was prepared quickly and tasted sensational. I will come back.

Addendum: Before the change in ownership, I rated this restaurant with 5 stars (photo is from earlier). Since the change of ownership we have given the restaurant a chance twice. Quality has deteriorated since then. Chicken from super tender to fibrous. Very unfortunate. Was the best Thai for us. Super tasty main dishes and nice service. We really enjoy coming to eat here. However, I would always recommend making a reservation in advance if you want to come after 6 p.m., as the restaurant is always very busy.

I debated for a long time whether I should write this review, but ultimately I think this needs to be said here. My best friend and I were really craving mango sticky rice that evening. So we checked the reviews and were actually pleasantly surprised. To be on the safe side, we called the restaurant and asked if they were currently offering the dessert. The gentleman on the phone said yes. We also wanted to know how exactly they prepare it and if we could come over and take a look. His answer was simply: “No, we don’t have any pictures. Just come here and you’ll see.” We found it a bit strange, but good. We then politely declined and hung up. Two minutes later my cell phone rang - it was the number of the restaurant. I answer it and am irritated at first. The man says: “You have to come now, I left the kitchen open especially for you. I have your number now too.” That really surprised us, but we were almost there at the time anyway, so we went in anyway. Once inside, we explained that we had just gotten off the phone and just wanted to see what their mango sticky rice looked like. We hadn't ordered anything when suddenly the employee came out of the kitchen with a box and a white bag. At first we thought it was for someone else and we could just take a look. But when we took a look inside, it was immediately clear to us: This is absolutely not what we expected. It looked completely different from the Mango Sticky Rice we know from Düsseldorf, so we wanted to go again. And then the strangest thing happened: the man takes a spoon, holds it out to me and tries to feed me. I was just shocked. As a reminder, my best friend and I are both engaged - it was just super awkward and we just wanted out. But then the man suddenly says that the food is for us and we have to pay for it. We had never ordered anything, but so as not to make the situation any more unpleasant, we paid quickly and got out. In the car we thought to ourselves: Okay, maybe it at least tastes good? We didn't want to waste the food unnecessarily. But just thinking about it made me sick. We tried it anyway – and it was a big mistake. Since then, I can't even listen to Mango Sticky Rice, let alone eat it. We were sick for two days. After our “taste test” we called the restaurant and asked how old the dessert was and what was in it. But instead of taking us seriously, they tried to end the call as quickly as possible. After a lot of back and forth the little man said "yes, then the day will come and we'll talk" - what should we talk about, did we think???? He then said “yes, come and you will get your money back”. We didn't want our money back, we wanted answers to our questions. I'm not writing this review to put anyone down, but rather to point out that this kind of behavior is simply not possible. Hopefully the service and quality will improve in the future. (the images are screenshots from a video) I beg of you, this is not what mango sticky rice looks like🙏🏼

We'll definitely be back because the menu is so big and promising that we still have a lot to try out. The interior is so beautifully designed with thousands of tree bushes in all sizes, the ceilings and walls were designed in the Thai style. You just feel like you're in Thailand and the ambience gives you a lot of sabay sabay feeling. We weren't impressed with what we ordered, which is why we only gave it 4 stars, but we also didn't choose the Thai classics, so we'll definitely come back and try some more.

The two of us spontaneously ended up here a week ago in the evening. Even though the restaurant was full, we were warmly welcomed. We were asked to sit at a small table in the entrance area until a larger table was available. Our order was taken quickly, we were able to change tables and the food (1 dish with duck, one with chicken) came surprisingly quickly. Both dishes were extremely tasty and beautifully presented. The prices are fair and the service is attentive. Definitely worth recommending!

We were cashed in while we were still eating. The starter we ordered came together with one of the main courses. The second main course when my companion had eaten half of it. Too bad...

I ordered the Red Thai Curry, and my boyfriend had the Panaeng Curry. We both love spicy food—I mean, I’m Asian, so I know what spicy really means. But this was on another level! It was so incredibly hot that I could barely eat my food, and my boyfriend felt like he was burning in hell!! To be fair, they apologized and tried to make things right, which we appreciated. However, the service could use some improvement—the dishes really should come out together. The food itself was actually good, but now my boyfriend has a bit of a spicy trauma from the experience! 😆
