Great ambience with the music, dimmed lights and decoration. Service was great, very nice and chatty, also gave us good recommendations. The food was incredibly tasty and the portion definitely fills your stomach :) . Definitely recommended, we will always be happy to come back :) .

If you like good quality and fresh food, Chaco is definitely the right place for you! No matter which restaurant we tried, even in the higher price range, a steak was never better and cooked to perfection than in Chaco! This restaurant has been around for decades. In my opinion, these individual negative reviews are a joke, especially since none of them comment on them. Maybe because there are just a few “haters” because the more popular a location becomes, the more envious people and ill-wishers there are. Sad because the ratings are not true. At Chaco, special requests are taken into account and finally a restaurant where children are welcome and where children can simply be children!!! In my opinion, service is still very important here and the boss is creative and knows his craft!

I enjoy eating Mexican food and can recommend this restaurant without hesitation. The price-performance ratio is unbeatable, the service is totally friendly and the food is simple yet tasty with a slight spiciness in the finish. I had a quesadilla con pollo and bacon. Only cash payment possible.

Absolutely recommendation! The ambience was harmonious right from the start and the food was really fresh and delicious! The concept with a prior reservation (but even without it we were warmly welcomed with two people) and “cash only” fits! It's more than a shame that we're not from the area! Great restaurant!

It's a really great restaurant with incredibly nice hosts. The food is delicious, the prices are great and everything is super fresh and organic! Service is always friendly and courteous, even when there is a lot going on. Ambiance: this is a former bowling alley. You can also use the bowling alley for a small fee. The rest of the restaurant is decorated in a Mexican style. All rooms are clean and tidy. Can only recommend it!

By far the tastiest Mexican food in the wider Freiburg area. Everything is super fresh, regional and, above all, homemade! Really good prices. Everything clean. They are also environmentally conscious, with slow food and reusable water bottles. Super friendly service staff who fulfilled all of our special requests. Pleasant, quiet atmosphere and sweetly decorated. Cash only! Reservations are desired. We'll definitely be back. Despite a 30 minute drive! Thank you very much, it was really great!

hey, We ate there today on August 13th, 2024. I called spontaneously at 7:30 p.m. to order a table for 9 p.m. because it was way too warm to eat beforehand. The opening times on Google are correct, why the good restaurant isn't open on weekends is a mystery to me, but maybe it has something to do with the shortage of skilled workers. It was our first time eating Mexican food and it was really tasty 😋. The food was really freshly prepared, the plates were preheated and the service was professional. It's a shame we're on vacation right now and can't have this more often. Our dog was also welcome and was immediately given an H2O cocktail. A successful evening for us. As others have already praised, I have to once again highlight the super nice and pretty service staff who do as much here as three waiters elsewhere. Thank you very much

We had the pleasure of dining at Chaco Text Mex recently and all we can say is that it was a wonderful experience! From the warm welcome to the friendly and attentive service, everything was first class. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxing evening. The menu offers a great variety of dishes and every dish we tried was simply delicious. The quality of the ingredients was obviously fresh and high quality, and the presentation of the food was very appealing. The drinks menu also leaves nothing to be desired, with a nice selection of wines and cocktails. Overall, our visit was a real highlight and we are already looking forward to our next visit☺️.

We had burgers and Chesadias and the food was really, really good. I just decided to have a coleslaw with my burger. Unfortunately it was a little too salty. Otherwise the food was great. The service was very good and super friendly, the atmosphere is quite okay for a TexMex. But you have to take some time with you because it's slow food. This shouldn't be a tip. It is advertised that way.

We discovered this Mexican restaurant by chance via Google Maps as we were looking for something to eat in the area at short notice in the evening. The pictures and reviews ultimately led us here and we were not disappointed! Nice atmosphere and very tasty Mexican food, which is also beautifully prepared with attention to detail. The service is also extremely courteous and extremely friendly. :-) If we vacation in the area again, we will definitely make a trip here again. Highly recommended.

Essen war mittelmäßig bis ok. Getränke geschmacklich normal aber auch 3 schlechte darunter. Ambiente: bedürftig bzw. nicht tolle Deko. Service-Personal war freundlich. Der Chef jedoch überhaupt nicht, Anmerkungen und Verbesserungsvorschläge vor Ort wurden von ihm leider nicht ernst genommen , da bei ihm Gastfreundlichkeit und Respekt nicht vorhanden. Andere Bewertungen bestätigen meine Erfahrung. Einmal, nie mehr.

Last night we went to Chaco Text Mex for the first time in 10 years. The service was very friendly and in a good mood! The food is absolutely delicious and the price/performance ratio is also right. We'll definitely be back! Oh the garlic baguette... It's amazing!

Entering the restaurant, it looked like a regular bar with a large room decorated in mexican style next to it. However the waitress greeting us was Nice and quickly found a table for us (we were 8 persons) and told us (in german) about the food. She even recommended different dishes and drinks that fitted nicely to our wishes. We waited a little for the food but drinks came straight away. We were totally blown away by the quality and taste of the food. The portions were fitting sizes and it was easy to taste that the food was made with fresh materials and a portion of love for Mexican food. On a normal tuesday an wensday (yes, we went there TWICE. Thats how good it was) there were plenty of locals eating at CHACO TEX MEX and the atmosphere was lose and cozy. We meet both waitress’ and the chef, and they were all Nice and forthcoming. If you are ever staying in the Kenzingen/Freiburg/Rust Area CHACO TEX MEX is a must visit for dinner. Only Small negativ thing to say is that the a’la carte restaurant is only open monday to thursday, as the owners are concentrating on closed parties in the weekends. But thats okay, as the prices is fair for going out to eat on a normal week day. All the best recommendations from us!

Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Food wasn't the best. Afterwards I had nausea and stomach pain. The young waitress was too over-motivated and rather pushy, so you couldn't even smoke a fag in peace in front of the door for 5 minutes. Not recommended in my opinion.

We called very spontaneously and got a table. We ordered nachos, quesadillas and burgers - everything was delicious, very fresh and authentically prepared. You can taste that everything is homemade. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. If we are in the region again, we will definitely stop by again. We paid a very fair €47 for a starter, two main courses, an extra side dish and three drinks.

Great food, lovingly decorated, from the starter, main man, dessert everything was top. The service was very attentive and helpful when ordering. All in all we were more than satisfied. Since we are restaurateurs ourselves, it is always a pleasure to visit other colleagues and meet them with a smile on our faces.

We didn't have a reservation, which meant we couldn't order everything, but what we were able to order - burgers, encheladas and burritos - was impressive. The food was great, the young waitress was really friendly and friendly. The food came quickly and tasted very good. And as a Nacho fan, I got my money's worth. I found it a little bit cool otherwise there's nothing to complain about.

Atmosphere in the front area at the bar is a bit uncomfortable and a bit too cool, inside in the dining room it is nicer! We were extremely satisfied with the food, everything was very tasty and spicy. The team is really nice and attentive, but the tone between them is quite rough (you can hear everything when you sit at the bar) 🙈

Stopped in after visiting EuropaPark and we were very glad that we did! This is a great spot to sit down and enjoy dinner after a busy day. It offers a unique alternative with Tex-Mex compared to other German restaurants. We thoroughly enjoyed our meals, which consisted of fairly large portion sizes at very affordable prices. The server was wonderful and helped get us orientated in English which was much appreciated. Highly recommend having a meal here if you are in the area!

Ich geb es zu, als ich es von außen gesehen habe dachte ich oh Gott wo bin ich hier nur gelandet. Wir sind in der Bar gesessen und haben dort getrunken und gegessen. Sehr gemütlich und nett eingerichtet Mega gut ob Cocktail oder das Essen. Sehr lecker und Gastfreundlichkeit . Wenn wir nicht hier Urlaub machen würde, Würden wir definitiv öfters her kommen

Wir waren bereits zwei Mal im CHACO und werden gerne wieder kommen! Der Service ist immer freundlich, für die Kids gibt es hinten einen Parkplatz zum Rennen oder Straße mit Kreide anmalen. Das Essen war bisher durchweg sehr lecker, leider konnten wir die Karte noch nicht komplett durch probieren :)

Es gibt sicherlich schönere Restaurants mit viel ansprechenderem Ambiente - aber das Essen ist hier einfach nur phänomenal und das Personal extrem freundlich. Damit für mich eine klare Empfehlung trotz Abstrichen bei den Räumlichkeiten.

Ein sehr sehr schönen Abend durften wir in diesen Restaurant verbringen. Wir waren zu 4, das erstemal ohne Reservierung (was aber kein Problem war und wir glücklicherweise noch einen Platz bekamen.) Die Bedingungen war eine sehr angenehme, freundliche Dame die mit ihren lächeln und ihre geduldigen Art und Weise uns auf Instagram verwies damit wir uns mit unserer Bestellung leichter Taten. Den Abend drauf waren wir erneut da, mit Tischreservierung und erneut hatten wir einen wunderbaren Abend. Vielen herzlichen Dank für das leckere, frische Wohltuhende Essen, wir kommen ganz sicher wieder. Liebe Grüße aus Wangen im Allgäu.

Wir kommen immer mit unseren Kindern oder Freunden hierher zum Essen und es ist jedesmal überragend! Das Essen ist frisch zubereitet, das Fleisch bzw. die Steaks sind der Hammer und immer wie gewünscht auf den Punkt gegrillt. Der Service ist top,sehr zuvorkommend uns freundlich,diese alten Rezessionen sind vor Jahren gewesen, damals hat der Chef und gleichzeitig der Koch eine Lücke bzw. Personalmangel gehabt , mittlerweile ist das nicht mehr so. Wir finden das Chaco jedenfalls top und die Gerichte sind wirklich sehr lecker und vor allem frisch.

Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten durften wir bleiben. Die Bedienung ist super freundlich, hilfsbereit und herzlich. Das Essen ist sehr zum empfehlen, frische ist hier KEIN Fremdwort. Wir haben gleich für den nächsten Tag den Tisch reserviert und kommen sehr gerne wieder. Könnten wir 10 Sterne vergeben hätten wir das gemacht. Hier kocht die "Leidenschaft" zum guten Essen. Die Gerichte sind super lecker. Auf den Punkt gewürzt und auch die Zutaten sind von sehr hoher Qualität. Der Service ist erstklassig, super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ich bin froh dieses Lokal hier gefunden zu haben, denn von der Lage her, ist es leider sehr leicht zu übersehen. Wer mexikanische Küche liebt ist hier genau richtig

Ich möchte meine Begeisterung für das Restaurant Chaco Tex Mex zum Ausdruck bringen. Jeder meiner Besuche in diesem Restaurant hat mich aufs Neue beeindruckt und begeistert. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die vielfältige Auswahl an Gerichten sowie der herausragende Service machen jeden Besuch zu einem Highlight. Ich kann das Chaco Tex wärmstens empfehlen und freue mich bereits auf meinen nächsten Besuch!

Ich moechte mich meinen vorrednern groeßtenteils anschließen. Das Ambiente ist stimmig, man sitzt bequem, es ist alles sauber. Gern wuerde ich auch die Bedienung besonders hervorheben die bis jetzt jedes mal sehr freundlich und kompetent aufgetreten ist! Zuguter letzt darf man natuerlich das Essen/ die Getränke nicht außer acht lassen. Da ich schon einige male hier war und mich durch die Speisekarte probiert habe kann ich ohne zweifel sagen hier schmeckt alles hervorragend! Es ist meiner Meinung nach sogar die beste Tex Mex kueche im Umkreis freiburg! Empfehlung geht aufjedenfall raus :)

Liebes Chaco Team Ihr habt unseren einstig in unsere Ferien perfekt gemacht. Obwohl was nicht funktionierte, kann immer wieder passieren, war es ein perfekter Abend. Perfekter Service, Essen auf aller höchstem Niveau. Alls wir am austehen und gehen sind, sagt unser Sohn 6 Jahre alt, das war ein wunderschöner Abend. Nun geniesst Eure wohlverdienten Ferien.
