A truly fantastic restaurant! The food was incredibly delicious; you could immediately tell how much love and care had gone into it. The service was absolutely top-notch! Super friendly, attentive, and incredibly warm. The atmosphere was also truly stylish, cozy, and simply perfect for relaxing. All in all, a wonderful evening. I would go back anytime!

Rude, overwhelmed staff and bland food at exorbitant prices. I was here for dinner as part of a business conference with around 50 people – the reservation was known in advance. Despite this, we had to wait ages for our food and drinks. With such a large group, this is understandable, but anyone who accepts such an event should be prepared for this kind of logistical challenge. My dish (ribbon pasta with mushrooms and miso sauce) was tasteless, and the food as a whole was bland. Paying almost €40 for a plate of pasta, a currant spritzer, and a brownie would have been tolerable – if the quality and service had been up to par. But both left much to be desired. To make matters worse, the noise level was extreme: In addition to the already expected noise from the large group, several musicians wandered through the tables playing loudly and persistently asking for tips. Normal conversation or networking – the very purpose of such a business dinner – was impossible. The staff seemed overwhelmed throughout the evening. When paying, I asked for a receipt for my employer's travel expense report and received only a simple cash register receipt. When I inquired about it, I was told that was fine – which later turned out to be incorrect. Admittedly, I could have noticed the mistake immediately, but after a long day, I was simply tired and trusted their explanation. A few weeks later, I realized that I needed a receipt for my business entertainment expenses. So I called, explained the situation, and was initially politely asked to call back the next day, as the boss would be in and could resolve the issue. Apparently, there was a new point-of-sale system that only he seemed to fully understand. However, this turned out to be false information – on my second call, I was told that the boss was on vacation in South Africa. From this point on, the tone became noticeably unfriendly. I was interrupted repeatedly, barely allowed to finish speaking, and told in a condescending tone that they had "already had enough stress that evening and no one had wanted a receipt." Instead of understanding or a willingness to find a solution, I got the feeling they just wanted to get rid of me. When I pointed out that two employees had previously assured me the receipt could easily be provided later, the woman on the phone reacted irritably and rudely. She repeatedly said it was "too much trouble right now" because they had to check all 48 orders individually, and ignored my suggestion to simply send my order by email. Her manner wasn't just impolite, it was downright disrespectful – as if she wanted to make me feel like my request was an unreasonable expectation. Overall, the entire experience – from the food to the service to the subsequent communication – was characterized by being overwhelmed, a lack of professionalism, and a lack of respect for paying customers. Mistakes happen, and I'm certainly understanding. But no restaurant should treat its customers the way a legitimate request was handled. I have rarely had such a disappointing experience – both in terms of the food and the service. Should Café Central be willing to address this incident, I would be happy to reconsider my review. As things stand, I can only strongly advise against visiting this establishment – ​​it is not recommended for either business or private occasions.

For decades, shortly after the Central ceased to be a dive bar, my parents and we as a family have been going there. It's great how consistently it's run and always represents a place where you can get involved. Whether it's a place for a date, a chat with friends, or a family feast: we've always received quality, interest, and excellent food here! Especially in these times, finding such brilliant waiters speaks volumes about the working environment. They've obviously understood who the real asset of the restaurant industry is: the employees! I always enjoy going to you! Thank you.

We like to come here for breakfast or coffee. It's also a great place for lunch. Unfortunately, the menu has changed a bit over the years, so my favorite breakfast item is no longer available. But there's still plenty to choose from.

This restaurant is located right in the center of the city, and I had the best ravioli here—absolutely delicious! The service was very nice and attentive. Since we were a large group, the food took a little while to come out and wasn’t as warm as I would have liked, but they clearly tried to bring everything together at once for us. When it started raining, the staff immediately helped us move inside and continued the service seamlessly, which I really appreciated. Overall, the food was amazing and I would definitely recommend this place.

Super, super delicious. We had cheese spaetzle and Wiener schnitzel. We'll definitely be back again. The lady was also very attentive and we felt very welcome.

Our cheese spaetzle were delicious and arrived quickly, but it was very loud, the tables were very close together with little legroom, and the service was unfortunately very inattentive. We waited over 20 minutes for the bill. Unfortunately, the restrooms weren't up to our cleanliness standards.

Dear Central Team, I was a guest at your restaurant today for the first time. First of all: the welcome and the allocation of the table were outstanding and professional! Ordering and service very good. Big mistake: if I have a Wiener Schnitzel on the menu for €26, it should be a Wiener Schnitzel that lives up to its name! Convenience food (sorry, I'm a chef and can tell the difference!) and as a veal schnitzel in the deep fryer!!! Fried and pink to boot!!! May I say... not possible. Unfortunately, no action was taken on the complaint, no discount, no drink... nothing. I don't do that. The rest of the meal was very good, please improve here!

Creamy tomato soup with pesto and a salad with grilled turkey breast - highly recommended. Very friendly service. A bit pricey, but there's always the option of a kebab or a friendly service and a delicious dinner :) Highly recommended.

The two of us were there for dinner today and ordered the asparagus risotto and the cheese pätzle. The food came very quickly and the waitresses were quick. Unfortunately the salad only came after we had already eaten half of it. The Kässpätzle were lukewarm and soggy. The risotto tasted quite good. The waitress offered us two espressos as compensation. We were very disappointed with this location. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit. It's very loud. We expected more. There probably won't be another visit there.

Very tasty food in a nice atmosphere! The vegan and vegetarian selection as well as the solid wine list were particularly great. Our waiter was in a bit of a bad mood, but tried hard nonetheless.

Saturday shortly after opening. My sister and I ordered a “Liebelei for two” breakfast. The cappuccinos came quite quickly. We didn't ask how we wanted our egg. And it took time. We had already finished the cappuccino and breakfast wasn't on the table yet. When it arrived, the table looked well filled. Everything was delicious and fresh except for the egg, which was hard and I would have preferred a softer one. Well, we were full.

The Café Central in Ravensburg impresses across the board! The team is simply great – incredibly friendly, accommodating and there with a smile for every guest. Pleasant atmosphere on two floors with excellent cuisine and changing lunch menus, with great emphasis on new meal ideas as well as tried-and-tested recipes. There is also a large selection of fine wines. The service is so friendly that you wonder how you deserve it; Pricey but justified. For me, this restaurant is in the top 5 of the Ravensburg gastronomy scene.

Went to Café Central at the weekend and drank a large latte in a bowl and ate a little something. For the latte they charge €6.30 for approx. 350/400 ml of latte - that's really extreme!!! Material use approx. 1 €, and 600% profit?!? ___________________ Café Central used to be a really, really well-attended meeting place. Very little going on now!!! - At such prices and the service staff has lost their peace. It takes a long time to get noticed even though there is little going on; only when it comes to paying suddenly super nice!!! ____________________ In the locations on Marienplatz near the town hall everything is full and the bear is dancing there. The restaurant gets 1 star for the following reason: We received a voucher for dinner for two from a friend. We were looking forward to eating there for a whole week, but unfortunately it was a big disappointment. When we mentioned the voucher, the boss of the restaurant came out to us personally, then he said who we were and where we got it from. When we said that we had received the voucher as a gift from a friend, he was annoyed and wanted to know why and who we got the voucher from. Wherever we wanted to order food, our menu was exchanged with the reason that it was only valid until 6 p.m. Exactly one meter further there is a sign saying that a different card is valid from 8 p.m. Then we had to order something else. When we had finished eating (we hadn't even finished drinking), we were already asked if we wanted to get the bill. You don't have the feeling of being wanted.

Wie der Name schon gesagt - zentral in der Stadt gelegen. Das Lokal ist hipp, das Essen größtenteils gut, der Service witzig. Einzig die nicht so sauberen Toiletten stören. Insgesamt aber gut.

Nettes Ambiente, freundliche Bedienung und guter Service aber die Preise sind einfach überzogen. Ohne jetzt knausrig zu wirken: Einen Aperol oder ein Hugo für 9,50 Euro, das durchschlägt für meine Empfinden schlicht die Preisschallmauer - Für ein gemütlichen abendlichen Hock zu zweit, nur mit Getränken, über 55 Euro auszugeben, dafür wird hier schlicht zu wenig geboten...

Das Essen ist absolut lecker. Die Bedienung war auch sehr nett. Als günstig würde ich es nicht beschreiben, aber naja, Corona hat dem Central sicher auch zugesetzt. Dafür lohnt es sich aber auch 👍

Man könnte wie alle anderen sagen: "Das Schnitzel war nicht ganz billig!" - Für 6,90 Euro gibt es das halt hier nicht. Dafür war es sehr lecker und das Geld wert. Der nette Herr, der meiner Dame den Wein🍷 empfohlen hat, kurbelte dagegen mit lockeren Kommentaren die gute Stimmung an. Ich muss sagen dass es mir sehr gefallen hat. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die sehr kurze Wartezeit von Service bis hin zur Essensausgabe. Perfekt!

Wir finden das Frühstück dem Preis völlig angemessen. Man wird definitiv mehr als satt. Die Kellnerin war zudem äußerst freundlich.

Satter Preis von 28,50. Bezahle ich gerne, wenn das Preis- Leistungsverhältnis stimmt! Davon konnte am Samstag morgen nicht die Rede sein! Kein Camenbert mehr, dafür reichlich Butter. Garnitur Gurke und Tomate, lasches Salatblatt hingeklatscht….das, was wir auf der Platte hatten, hält vom Frühstück ab (wohlgemerkt für 2 Personen). Wurst (Schinken, Salami) deutlich „geschrumpft“ im Vergleich zu den letzten Frühstücksbesuchen. Eier dabei, ja auch Süßes wie Honig und Marmelade, kleine Gläser Joghurt/Müsli wie gehabt sowie ein wenig Mini-Scheibenkäse. Dazu jeweils 1 Heißgetränk. Wenn ich fast 40 Euro bezahle, hatten noch 1 frischgepressten Orangensaft, darf ich mehr erwarten! Am meisten jedoch hat mich die maßlose Arroganz des Chef's geärgert, der missgelaunt meine Kritik an der Theke aufnahm. Ich war sachlich und bemüht mich kurz zu erklären. Ich hatte den Eindruck, dass er sichtlich genervt und angepisst von meinem Kommentar war. Kein Bedauern nichts, sondern mit der Bemerkung dies doch gleich zu sagen, im Nachhinein kann nichts mehr korrigiert werden. Ist mir klar, war nicht mein Anliegen sondern darauf aufmerksam zu machen! Zumal der Kellner oben allein viel Arbeit hatte und kaum mal in unsere Nähe kam. Er ist auf mich als Kundin nicht angewiesen, das war deutlich.Hat seine Stammkunden. Sei's ihm gegönnt. Wir haben uns für ein Frühstück für zwei "Liebelei für zwei" entschieden. Preis, inkl. einem Heißgetränk 28.50 Euro. Wer nun von einem reichlichen, abwechslungsreichen und schön dekoriertem Frühstück träumt, muss leider enttäuscht werden! Neben dem fotographierten Frühstückstablet (wohlgemerkt für 2 Personen!) gab es noch je 1 Ei, sowie in Scheiben geschnittenes Baguettebrot. Das offizielle "Feedback" wurde von den Kellnern sachlich und professionell entgegen genommen, allerdings legt man auf zufriedene Kunden nicht allzu viel Wert! (Zumindest würde ich als Chef des Hauses nebenan nicht nur Sonnenschirme aufklappen, sondern persönlich am Tisch vorbei schauen und ggf. noch einen kostenlosen Espresso ausgeben.) Vermutlich ist man auf die Kundenzufriedenheit nicht angewiesen, da wohl genug Touristen das Central am Marienplatz eh nur einmal besuchen! Schade, denn als Ravensburger werden wir im Central zukünftig nicht mehr einkehren - weder zum Frühstück noch zum Abendessen!
