Carpe Diem in Bad Iburg

Located right on the lake. Had a super-delicious hamburger and followed it up with a delicious cake and latte macchiato. Highly recommended.

The Kaiserschmarren looked and tasted like frozen goods. There was no cake left at 4 p.m. But the most exciting thing was the service: the number of times the tall, white-haired man walked past the leftovers on the tables was quite entertaining. Despite all his efforts, a napkin was still left lying around. Many aisles with individual items hindered effective service. An elderly lady begged to be allowed to pay immediately. "Just have your coffee in peace first," was the reply. Folks: get some proper coaching, then this place might turn out well. Until then: bye, bye.

Definitely a new addition to the American food scene in Bad Iburg. The menu selection is very modern, so new recipes are constantly being incorporated into the offerings. I particularly like the chili cheese fries, which are absolutely trendy and delicious, as well as the general concept, which is designed with vegetarians in mind and also offers something pleasing to the eye (keyword: design)! There are two drawbacks, however. Firstly, the burger packaging is not environmentally friendly and not ideal for use as a base for eating – I personally would prefer a cardboard box. Secondly, my order included a ! stalk of a lettuce head! What a shame.

Nothing special, the service seemed aloof and their tone was unpleasant. I ordered a spicy kebab, but it was forgotten. Sriracha sauce was brought afterward. I didn't realize I had ordered my kebab at a Thai restaurant. 😂

Very nice and helpful people! They pulled me and my car out of the mud at 9 p.m. because I got stuck. Happy to be a guest next time!
