Three months ago, I published a review that I'd like to add to today. Not long after the review, about two months ago, I received a personal letter from the owner apologizing for my experience, and he addressed every single point I raised. I have to acknowledge that, because that's not exactly common practice. So, today I'm trying to reshuffle the deck and award the stars realistically. I haven't yet sought a personal meeting with him, but I'll be happy to do so. Since I give everyone a second chance, I'll eat at Carnabys again and hopefully be able to write off my experience as a one-off. I just felt very uncomfortable, even in front of my team, who had expressly requested to eat there at the time. This further reinforced the unpleasant feeling of not being welcome. I went to the Carnaby with my family yesterday. The food my son and daughter-in-law ordered wasn't outstanding, but it was edible. My meal (Spaghetti Carnaby) and my grandchild's (Spaghetti Carbonara) were the worst I've ever seen on a plate in a restaurant. Let me put it this way: there was no sauce, it was spaghetti floating in water. I complained, but no one cared. My grandson is sick in bed today, which says it all. My conclusion: never again at the Carnaby!

It used to be truly world-class, but today it only lives off its name! The quality and service have declined so drastically! I never usually bother to write bad reviews, but after my visit there 14 days ago, I feel obligated! I ordered a steak that was so poor quality that I couldn't eat it...cut two small pieces and couldn't finish it! The waitress then asked me if I liked it, and I obviously said I didn't, I couldn't eat it! She then asked me if she could make us anything else, to which I replied, "the bill." I waited over 15 minutes for the bill. Optimistic as I am, I thought it was taking so long because she was somehow arranging a compromise with the manager...but no, I had to pay the full price! That was definitely the last time, a real shame for all the wonderful memories I had of this restaurant under the old management!

First of all, the service is exceptionally friendly and courteous. The ambiance is quite dated, but still acceptable. The menu is very extensive, too extensive to assume that the dishes are freshly prepared, which, in my opinion, is also reflected in the time between ordering and serving. The proportion of convenience products from the supermarket is extremely high; otherwise, the large selection and speed would not be manageable, so be it. The dishes are not particularly convincing in terms of taste, tending more towards good cafeteria quality. The portions are quite sufficient, and the price is also okay. P.S. The side salad with the house dressing was very good, but the bruschetta selection was a disappointment in terms of taste. The individual pieces were extremely small, with little topping and no flair whatsoever, except for the tuna version. Delicious food, nothing to complain about. The menu is more like an ice cream parlor with lots of colorful pictures... And they offer everything from schnitzel and steak to fish. And, of course, pasta in every shape and flavor.

Absolutely!!! One of the few restaurants in Saarland where you can eat everything on the menu, and the price/performance ratio is top-notch.

I've never had such a bad pizza. The pizza was completely dark and dry; you couldn't even cut it. It also looked more like a frozen pizza, with no flavor at all. I returned the pizza and had to pay for it despite the poor quality.

We went to eat with seven people. The Carnaby offers both indoor and outdoor seating. Although it's in the heart of Dillingen, the outdoor seating is rather quiet. The food selection is huge. It's also incredible that every dish is pictured on the menu. What you get looks exactly like it. The ambiance is modern, yet cozy, thanks to old-fashioned pictures and sketches of Dillingen. Whether it was salads, schnitzel, or pasta, we enjoyed everything. The staff was very friendly and, above all, there were plenty of them. There was only a short wait for the food to arrive. We will definitely be back. A real recommendation!

Ich war heute das erste Mal seit langem wieder im Carnaby. Wie immer bestellte ich mir mein Lieblingsessen Makkaroni überbacken und einen venicebeach Salat. Die Fleischsauce hatte einen üblen Nachgeschmack nach Medikamenten. Mit dem Ergebnis dass ich kurz nach dem Essen starke Bauchschmerzen gluckernde Geräusche im Bauch wie bei einem Magen-Darm-Infekt den ich aber nicht hatte. Wie gesagt da ich auch Hunger hatte aß ich alles auf. Auf die Frage der Servicekraft ob es geschmeckt hätte sagte ich ihr dass die Soße stark nach Medikamenten schmeckte und mir die Speisen nicht geschmeckt hätten. Hat sie im Anschluss die abgeräumten Teller die Küche brauchte hörte ich wie die Servicekraft mit einer anderen Person sprach, und sagte der hat die ganze Schüssel leer gefressen und sagt es hätte ihm nicht geschmeckt. Ich denke dazu nur wenn ich das Essen zurückgegeben hätte hätte ich keinen Bauchschmerzen bekommen aber die Dame von mir auch kein Geld. Während wir auf das Essen warten hörten wir auch von anderen Kunden dass ihnen das Essen nicht geschmeckt hätte, war also heute kein Einzelfall. Ich wünsche dem Betreiber starke Nerven und eine bessere Personalauswahl als die bisher getroffene Punkt für mich war es das letzte Mal dass ich ihn Carnaby gegessen habe.

Big menu but every time everything you order is just fine👍

As a regular, I was at the Carnaby today with my team (9 people in total) at 12 noon, after being told that reservations aren't allowed on the front terrace. That's fine. But the fact that we put the tables together so we could all sit together was also not accepted. Instead, we were offered the sun terrace right next to the hidden trash cans (food leftovers in 30-degree heat—needless to say). Reservations would have been made there, too. I smell the trash cans from my office every day; I wouldn't want to have to eat there. In any case, there was no way we could sit at a table there—two tables outside were occupied, and it was the same inside. So we got up and left—and that was my last time there. One of my colleagues felt so mistreated that she also made the same decision. Since my office is in the immediate vicinity, I used to go there 2-3 times a week, but less frequently recently. The food is hit or miss, not what it used to be. Perhaps it's precisely because, unlike in the past, there are now free tables without reservations, at various times of the day. Perhaps it's also because, as mentioned above, guests are no longer valued. Who would have cared if we'd sat at one table? 6 people would have been possible, but 9 not. Oh well. I think that's a shame. But everything has its time. Mine at the Carnaby ended today, although today was just the last straw. It's been a development up to this point, and there have been second and third chances. A real shame.

I returned after 32 years for nostalgic reasons. It used to be a popular spot for night owls, and they always had macaroni with double cream and double cheese. I chose it again this time, and it was just like the old days 😊 The atmosphere was really friendly, as was the service. I'll be back.

My wife's food was overly seasoned and uneatable. The waiter confirmed my complaint, which surprised me greatly. Because I didn't want to spread any dissatisfaction among our group, I didn't say anything else. I actually thought there would be a discount. Even though I only ate 3 bites, the same waiter deducted the full amount. There was no response to my email complaint even after several weeks.

We were there with the family about 14 days ago... The food was definitely worth a visit... and we really enjoyed it... unfortunately we were unlucky because there was so much activity that we couldn't understand our own words... so the visit was very tiring... the waitresses were also stressed and there was little sense of friendliness... a young waitress really stood out... no matter what it was, she laughed with us - was extremely helpful and very attentive... I wished I could experience more conditions like that... she was the reason why the evening Then it was a nice experience... I hope the owner appreciates the young lady... another plus point... dog was allowed and was looked after really well by the young lady 🥰

It was my first time here, we were a group of 10 people. The food came quickly and was good overall. My cream sauce was cold, but the service responded quickly and the food came back very hot. The waitress who served us that evening was very friendly and responded to all of our requests professionally. I personally didn't like the ambience (we sat at the back next to the door that leads to the terrace). The toilets were a nice size and very clean. My conclusion: if you want to eat simply, well and at normal prices, this is the right place for you.

After we were seated and the table was very close to another and wobbled extremely, we politely asked for a new one. The lady to whom we described the matter was then completely unexpectedly cheeky, impudent and provoked for no reason and said that we could finally do something about it ourselves. I've never been hit on so blatantly and I would suggest a career change to the lady if she used such a tone after just a simple question. Of course, we left immediately afterwards. An absolute disgrace. Never again!

Yesterday we tested Carnaby in Dillingen for the first time and were very positively surprised by the good taste and the amount of food served. Above all, our two main courses, each a schnitzel variation with noodles, were really very tasty, the accompanying sauces were nice and thick and really fine with a good seasoning. In terms of quantity, the two high-quality dishes, as well as the varied, delicious side salad, were very generous at a rather reasonable price, so that overall we see a very good price-performance ratio here. We also enjoyed our two starters, bruschetta variants. Overall, the retro menu, which is reminiscent of the 90s and is a bit overwhelming at first glance, offers an incredibly large selection of different dishes on around 60 pages, including a lot of pasta and schnitzel dishes as well as salads, but also steaks, fillets, pizzas and other meat or fish dishes. The ambience of the large guest room is also reminiscent of the 90s, so the tables and chairs of this type could also be placed on the balcony at home. The employees were very friendly and attentive to us, and we were often asked whether everything was OK with us. The food was served to us quite quickly. Overall, we had a nice two hours here and can definitely recommend the restaurant because of the good taste and the relatively affordable prices. We would also like to be guests here again in the foreseeable future.

Had dinner with a larger group. Ambiance was nice. Service, I have to say, struggled a lot with us, but handled everything very well. Hats off to you for that. The food was fantastic. I wanted to deduct a star because some people found the food very spicy. This should be mentioned in the map. For me personally it was spicy and I'm not that sensitive to pain. All in all a very nice evening with great people, good food and drinks.

We had for December 17th. Have a table reserved for three people. The first impression was good. Christmas decorations and a nice atmosphere. However, the table was very inconvenient, right in a narrow place. That was very unpleasant. There were other tables in a more convenient location... The menu is very extensive. I ordered Spaghetti al Capone, 250 g. If I prepare 250g of spaghetti at home, I will really instead. There should be olives and anchovies in the sauce. When the portion came I was disappointed. That was less than a child's portion. When I asked, I was told that the weight is given when cooked. That wasn't obvious to me in the menu. The same thing happened to the others. I discovered two tiny pieces of black olives in the sauce, I couldn't see or taste anchovies at all. In general the taste was totally boring. The same thing happened to my companions. Shortly after eating, my stomach and intestines began to ache. My companion would then have to go to the toilet very urgently... Diarrhea. For me the effect started an hour later. To make matters worse, in a concert in the Dillinger Festhalle. I couldn't enjoy the concert anymore. I was happy to have reached the toilet safely. My intestines had to empty suddenly. I still had problems the following day. I absolutely cannot recommend the food. I hope that was just an isolated case.

Es wurden 25 Essen für eine Feier bestellt. Essen wie immer Klasse. Leider ist der Koch nicht in der Lage die Verpackungen auf DEUTSCH zu beschriften bzw. die Nummern des Essens aufzuschreiben. Die Essen mussten alle geöffnet werden um diese zuzuordnen. Also für Großbestellungen ist das Carnaby Dillingen nicht geeignet. Einfach schade, aber wir bestellen beim nächsten Fest in der Pizzeria Pachten.

Hello, we have often eaten with you and have always been very satisfied, except for yesterday when nothing was right. We were led to a table in the back with chairs that unfortunately didn't allow us to linger for any length of time. The food we ordered came, and with the steak and fries the very small plate was so overloaded that you couldn't eat without half of it being on the table. There was also no room left for the sauce to put on it. The second steak, which was also ordered medium, came with a raw piece of meat that we added again and everyone knows what a steak that was already on the plate and put back in the pan tastes like. Since it was so uncomfortable and the main course wasn't what we usually had, we decided not to use the bedside table and were out again after 45 minutes.

Always worth a visit. Good price-performance ratio. Never been disappointed in decades.

I ate there twice and was satisfied! Staff were always friendly and food was always good! But today, October 24th, I was there for the third time and was a little disappointed with the food. Like the second time, I had the Rambo 3 steak with fries. The steak was just a little seasoned. The fries weren't salted at all and there was no ketchup or mayo. I then asked for salt and ketchup and got both straight away. At least without being charged extra. But things were better back then. Ambiance, hygiene, service and prices were good as always.
