I used to really enjoy going there, but what happened today has definitely cost me as a customer. I had a terribly unfriendly waitress who first brought us orange juice that was so bad it was fizzy, with a dirty straw, and to top it all off, she brought us the wrong food and insisted she never made a mistake. I honestly find it very sad how this once great place is no longer what it used to be. Customers had to get up and go to the waitress to order, and there weren't even many people in the place. I would have much preferred to just get up and leave.

The shop is a real insider tip for a delicious breakfast. The selection is large, with many different variations, so there's something for every taste. The kumpir in particular stands out—very, very well prepared and one of the best I've tried so far. The value for money is also good: you get a lot of quality for a fair price. The staff are friendly, attentive, and make you feel welcome. The ambiance is also beautifully designed, cozy, and inviting—ideal for a relaxed breakfast or a little break. In conclusion: A delicious breakfast, excellent kumpir, friendly staff, and a pleasant atmosphere make this shop a clear recommendation. 5 out of 5 stars.

I hadn't been there for years, and today I regretted going. There was no flavor in the baked potato. The Russian salad was awful.

It never tastes the same. I hadn't been there in a while, and I wanted to give it another try. When I went, the kitchen guy was mopping the floor, and when he used the same mop in the refrigerator, I decided never to eat there again. You don't care about hygiene and don't care about human health at all? And you have no shame in public. The food here is so dirty. I can't find anything here and nothing else. I also want to take a chance on the food. I also want to use the personal mop and the best mop in the kitchen. I've had enough, and I'm so glad I did. Hygiene is my top priority – and also because I'm so afraid of getting into the kitchen.

I had baked potato at this restaurant last week. The sandwich was delicious, but it arrived cold. The roses on the table had been in a vase for a week and were almost rotten. The waiters, unless they were passing by, weren't sure if they were the waiter or not. There was no smile on their faces. It was as if they were forced to work and made noise while chatting amongst themselves. I was disturbed. I think the price will go up again after two months. I really don't understand the negative reviews. I've eaten kumpir at many places in Berlin, but none compare to this one in terms of taste! Everything is fresh, delicious, and made with lots of love – especially the breakfast and the homemade cookies are simply amazing. As for the service: Sure, in stressful situations, there isn't always time for a smile – but I've always been served in a friendly and courteous manner. We also regularly order to the office, and it always works without a hitch. If something does happen, the team at Çarik is always helpful and has your back.

I've been coming here for over 15 years. Why? The Kumpir! I haven't had a better meal anywhere in Berlin. The salads are simply delicious and the potatoes are well-mixed. From €3.50 in 2010 To €8.90 in 2025 It's a shame, but we all know why. I hope you can continue to offer the same quality at the Kumpir.

I've been there a lot lately, but I always get Kumpir to go. I don't know where I could get something similar in Berlin. If you live in this neighborhood, you'll know it. Among other things, it's one of the first and best baked potato restaurants (Kumpir) in all of Berlin. Anyone who claims otherwise has no idea about delicious food in Berlin. Nowadays, every second one does Kumpir, the salads aren't as good as here, and the prices are very expensive elsewhere, like at Café Peri; there you even have to pay extra for four or five salads. And there's always a wait in any busy restaurant. Everyone wants fresh, high-quality food, but they don't want to wait. If you're going shopping or eating out, you should definitely take your time.

**Never again!** Unfriendly staff, as if they were on penal duty – no smiles, no manners. The food? Old, oversalted, and unloving. Children are apparently not welcome – my baby cried briefly, and we were looked at as if we'd committed a crime. Absolutely inhumane atmosphere. Save yourself the visit.

Today we went to breakfast with the family at Çakır Restaurant in Berlin. Unfortunately, we were not at all satisfied with the service and breakfast. The staff was inattentive and unfriendly. The breakfast selection was very limited and disappointing in taste. We would have expected more care and quality from such a restaurant. We will not be returning and unfortunately cannot recommend it.

The breakfast plates were very poorly presented and certainly didn't reflect the price. The cream cakes, especially the Oreo dessert, were inedible. There used to be a quality to them.

Today we thought we would order from Carik. So far so good, delivery was quick. Unfortunately my friend arrived completely wrong. An insert was swapped. Then I thought I'd just put down the side dish that was put up incorrectly. After all, I'm just hungry. Then I see that the potato was completely brown and inedible. Then I got angry. I called the restaurant to ask them to have a new Kumpir delivered to me. This was rejected because it is out of their hands and I HAVE to clarify this with Lieferando. What should Lieferando do? They delivered. You did everything right. I will never order a Kumpir there again. We are obviously used to something different and are super disappointed.

Absolutely not recommended. One meal was too salty. Two hairs came out in my food and as if that wasn't bad enough when we got up. Remember, it was below zero, I was in the front entrance with my baby and my little daughter because I was waiting for a taxi. We were thrown out there because they wanted to close. When I asked if we could wait for 2 minutes, as a taxi would be arriving at any moment, we were rudely asked to leave and had to wait in the cold. The waiters hardly speak any German and brought our drinks incorrectly several times. Toilet hygiene raises some questions. It smells very strong I have never felt so disgusted by a store

I'm disappointed. Unfortunately the red cabbage salad was spoiled. I don't think that was the only salad that smelled bad. Just when I opened the packaging it smelled so sour!

It was good and tasty, but there wasn't much variety.

The ladies at the counter have private conversations and aren't particularly friendly to you either. Kumpir itself was otherwise delicious, but this time I had pasta salad in it that was already bad. Apparently it sat uncooled for too long. It was therefore not edible. I ordered take away and then went back to the store and pointed out that the salad was bad and I would like a new one without it. That was at 8:15 p.m. and the woman said it was too late, they don't have any Kumpir anymore even though it's open until 10 p.m. They didn't want to refund me any money either. That was my last visit.

We ordered it online, we regretted it a lot, the top of the kunefe was completely empty, you need 1000 witnesses to say it is kunefe. The minced meat pasta smelled of minced meat and had a disgusting taste, I won't tell you about the other pastas and everything came ice cold.

Don't let Çarık "Kuruyemiş" be confused by names. No kuruyemiş is sold here, only coffee and cake.

Unfortunately, my friend arrived with half of what I ordered. Neither on the menu nor did the waiter, who saw that I had a child with me, point out to me that couscous is very spicy. So me and my child couldn't eat it. I still tried to eat a little bit but the taste just wasn't good. So I'm totally disappointed and in terms of service, when I asked the waiter about it, he just looked at me. I would also like to mention that the store was half empty. Waiter extremely unfriendly, first wait 10 minutes for someone to come, then a man comes who doesn't even look at us and is on the phone at the same time. We also had to wait a long time to pay, I said I wanted to pay to the lady at the counter "yes, but not here" the waiter was still on the phone, for 2 cappuccinos and 1x cake €17.50 wtf?????? You used to get very good, down-to-earth food here, especially Kumpir, at fair prices and good portion sizes. The shop was so popular that you often had to wait for a free table. Unfortunately, the prices are extremely high, which would be ok if the quality hadn't also deteriorated and the portions had become so much smaller that no one was really full anymore. I'm not even talking about service, unfortunately you don't expect much anymore anyway. The last time we were there, we were the only ones there until we left on a Saturday morning. Food is always great. We found out about this place 15 years ago through a tip from a former colleague and we come here from Potsdam as often as possible. The waiters are always friendly, unfortunately the menus have been damaged by people again, although you can still use them. The food is always delicious, the toilets are clean and smoking is finally no longer allowed in the restaurant.

I have known the store for many years and really enjoy ordering from here! The best Kumpir in Berlin with a good portion and the lentil soup was also really tasty. The soup came with salad and bread, mega!

The Kumpir is still awesome! My absolute recommendation for this dish and the many toppings that you can order here. I completely understand that everything is becoming more expensive. But from the original €5 per Kumpir, the price had increased to €7.90 and now to €8.90 and is therefore no longer affordable for many people here in the neighborhood and around it. The waitress today was super friendly, but clearly overworked because she had to serve all the tables alone, clean them, take and prepare the drinks and also collect the money. There used to always be 3 or 4 waiters there and everything went pretty quickly. Nowadays you increasingly see the listless boss standing somewhere or “helping” at a snail’s pace. But that's not how it should look in the restaurant. Please change something about this, because I'm certainly not the only guest who is bothered by this. The lasting friendliness of the remaining woman in service is of no use when you notice how she is being burned out there...

Unfortunately, rated restaurants are getting worse and worse, at least I have the impression: We ordered Kumpir and 1 Künefe. Kumpir came relatively quickly and was delicious. We waited 45 minutes, after 30 minutes the waiter arrived with 2 small teas and said the waiter would come straight away (no explanation or apology) but always tried hard and nice. Then I waited another 15 minutes and got a delicious but cold künefe... the shop wasn't even full. What can you say about that? A reason for me not to go there anymore. Why do you make a customer wait 45 minutes?

I have been a guest at this local for more than 10 years. The food is very tasty and always an option to satisfy your hunger. Unfortunately I have to say that the service is radiating more and more negative energy. The guests are mostly ignored, when you enter the local you are ignored - or there is one employee who is now very gray and the lady who seems very moody to me. Maybe the owner should retrain his employees or simply hire new ones to bring a breath of fresh air into the restaurant industry.

Too stuffy, no fan, no air conditioning. Potatoes were too dry. Unfortunately we couldn't communicate with the waitress.

Worst kumpir I have ever had. Firstly I asked for vegetarian toppings and she put thunfish in it, then on asking to remove, she just removed the topping with tissue. The taste was horrible and I felt pukish after just one bite. It tasted like it was rotten. Would not recommend it.

According to my wife, this used to be a really popular and good shop, I wonder how. All the tables in the front area are shaking and no one is doing anything about it. Our waitress was "okay" friendly. Courteous service is something else. She did the least. My schnitzel was nothing special and the side dishes were also very bland. Cakes, tarts, breakfast, pizza, grilled food, soups, pasta, everything tastes okay, but the kumpir (baked potato filled with various salads) is and remains the house specialty and tops the menu. The visit is worth it for this alone. Atmosphere inviting and chic. Toilets mostly clean. Child-friendly. No barrier-free toilets.

The buddies here are unbeatable. Unfortunately, the service isn't great... you often have to ask for something and extra orders are simply not taken into account at all. The waiting times are also terrible. Yesterday we only got our pizza when we finished our kumpirs, we were already full, and we waited over 30 minutes for our dessert (a Künefe). When we asked for tea with dessert, we waited until the dessert was finished...of course, tea still wasn't there. So if you are patient and not demanding, you have come to the right place. They explained to us that the app would only work if we ate there, but we supposedly had until 10 p.m. to do so, which contradicted the previous statement. Finally, the manager intervened, suddenly claiming that the app no ​​longer worked and that according to the app the food could only be ordered take-out to activate the voucher. The restaurant showed no willingness to compromise or goodwill towards its customers, and we just felt like we were being ripped off.

Kumpir was delicious! Really big and well filled. Unfortunately I can't give it 5 stars because it tastes a little worse than where I usually get it. I have been a customer here at least once a month for more than 12 years. We regularly ordered Kumpir to take away during our lunch break. The price used to be €3.90 per potato. The potato was significantly (twice) larger back then than it is today. With three potatoes, you thought the plastic bag would tear at any moment while you were carrying it. For a long time the nice ladies usually pressed half an additional potato into the Kumpir. Unfortunately, this is rarely the case anymore. The potato is still delicious, that is without question, unfortunately the price/performance ratio is no longer appropriate. Prices went from €3.90 to €4.50, then €5.50, recently €6.50 and on my last visit €7.90. It's way too expensive for a quick lunch considering it's a potato. It's a shame, I was always looking forward to it. If you still want to afford it, you can get a delicious Kumpir with various salads. The ladies are super nice, we know each other by now. We also recommend the oven-fresh tandooris from the window next door...

We were here today and thought it would be nice to have a "kumpir" (baked potato). The table we sat at was dirty (leftover food from the previous person). We waited quite a while for the waiter with the menu. Even though there were two of us, we only received one card, which also fell apart. At least the waiter removed the coarse dirt from the table. After a few minutes a waitress came and took our order. We received our drinks (Ayran packaged in a plastic cup) shortly afterwards. We had to wait almost half an hour for our potatoes. Unfortunately, the potatoes were topped differently than ordered, so we gave them back. The order was then reconciled and it was discovered that it had been taken incorrectly by the waitress. So we had to wait another 10 minutes for our food. The first impression of the food was good until I found a piece of sucuk (sausage) in my potato. What was ordered was a vegetarian potato with vegetarian ingredients! When we paid (by card) I complained about the meat in my potato. The waiter apologized but said that it could happen. I find this unacceptable! I paid full price (without tip). I definitely won't be coming back here any time soon.

Ich wollte telefonisch eine Bestellung aufgeben, da ich ein Kleinkind im Auto hatte. Es ging auch nur um ein Kumpir. Ich habe der Dame geschildert, dass es kein Parkplatz gibt's sie es bitte fertig vorbereiten und ich würde dann kurz aus dem Auto rauskommen und es bezahlen. Sie meinte nein, da sie kein Vertrauen haben, Ich bestelle und es dann nicht abgeholt wird. Sie t das Kind gehörrlt habe auch paypal angeboten aber alles wurde abgelehnt. Höflich meinte ich zu ihr das man somit kein Vertrauen an Kunde schenkkt, eher verliert, das war ihr dann egal! Schade und nie wieder!
