A very pretty restaurant, but the staff was extremely slow. In the end, our bill was nowhere to be found. The pizza was delicious!

On the recommendation of friends, we went to this restaurant yesterday. Despite having a reservation, there was a long queue outside. It would have been great to know beforehand that two pizza chefs were sick, causing the wait. We weren't informed of this until we'd already been waiting an hour and a half for our pizza. The first round of drinks was already finished, and the second round arrived before the pizza. Overall, the waiter was very friendly, but we would have appreciated a little something from the restaurant, whether it was an antipasti platter to compensate for the expected wait or a dessert as an apology. Staff can always get sick, but some early communication would have been fantastic. Regarding the food: My pizza was delicious, especially the dough. Everyone gets a pair of gilded scissors to cut their pizza into four slices, drizzle with chili oil if they like, and then eat it folded. A great experience. Atmosphere: The location is really lovely. The tables are spread over two levels, with the upper level being a gallery. In the middle, a large lemon tree reaches all the way to the first floor. Really beautiful. The light was pleasant.

Unbelievable wait times. Tables that arrived after us received their food before us. The explanation given was that the order machine was broken and that later orders had been prioritized, meaning earlier orders would now arrive later. Waiting over an hour for a pizza is outrageous!

The pizza was really good. Not world-class, but really tasty. Fluffy, thick, slightly oily, and not too heavily topped. The advertised tiramisu dessert was okay. The large antipasti platter was good. Unfortunately, the service was very rushed. The location was very noisy. Overall, I'd gladly come again.

We were a group of seven for pizza and had made a reservation in advance. We arrived on time, but initially couldn't find us in the system. We were told we might have made a reservation for a different day or in a different city. After showing our reservation confirmation, they said it was probably a system error – these things happen, and that was fine with us. They then found us a table. When we ordered, we all ordered different pizzas. One colleague ordered the Salsiccia e Friarielli (with smoked provola DOP, Neapolitan broccoli, salsiccia, basil, and extra virgin olive oil). The menu description didn't clearly indicate that it contained pork. Additionally, two women wearing headscarves were at our table, and Turkish was being spoken – so we felt they could have mentioned the pork beforehand. After about 30-40 minutes, the pizzas arrived one after the other. Our colleague's pizza came a little later, and only when it was being served did the waitress mention that it contained pork. We thanked them politely and immediately ordered another pizza. When we went to pay (total bill approximately €170), we were told we had to pay for the first pizza that had been brought to us. They then offered us a 50% discount. However, we said we would pay the full price and take the pizza with us. —> we wanted to give it away outside. They then claimed the pizza had already been thrown away—but we still had to pay for it (even with the 50% discount). We found this very unprofessional. Especially after waiting despite having a reservation, with an unclear menu description, and with a higher bill, they could have reacted much more customer-friendly. The location and atmosphere were good in themselves—unfortunately, this situation ultimately ruined the overall impression.

Pizza Fritta just like in Naples!

This isn't an Italian restaurant, it's a pizzeria. They really only serve pizza. But it's something special. You can see the thick crust from afar. Yet it's incredibly airy and light. All pizzas come with decorative pizza scissors. You fold the slices together and usually eat with your hands. The varieties and toppings aren't exactly what you'd expect.

The food was perfect; we were there in winter, and the oven served as our central heating. I felt like a pizza. Baked. But it was great!

We sat right by the window, and it was drizzling a bit, so we couldn't close the window, which was a little annoying. But the food was really delicious. The calzone, in particular, is highly recommended.

The walls are quite thin, making it too loud to have a relaxed conversation. My pizza was unfortunately very soggy and not cooked through in the middle.

Even if you arrive 15 minutes before your reservation, they keep you waiting for at least half an hour. So why do we even make reservations? They need to rethink this system. Being left waiting outside in this weather is unpleasant. Their prices are a bit high. This service is incompatible with this price.

The food was good and the service was excellent. The fantastic flavor of the Napoli dishes was truly evident. All the staff were polite, friendly, and patient—especially the lady from Thailand, who was very sweet and charming, and the young man named Tom.

We have rarely eaten such delicious and creatively prepared pizzas. The Neapolitan doughnut – for me, the mother of all doughnuts – for dessert was also a taste sensation and truly enormous. The staff were all very attentive, cheerful, and welcoming. A cozy place to feel comfortable and relax. We will definitely come back!

A very stylish pizzeria in the heart of Bielefeld. There's no parking directly at the restaurant, but several parking garages are nearby. The restaurant is beautifully decorated. The tables are a good size. The service was very friendly. I'm deducting one point because our server only spoke English, which might be a problem for some customers. The food was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert. The prices are absolutely reasonable.

My girlfriend and I ate there together for the first time on her recommendation. Since we hadn't made a reservation for a Saturday evening, we had to wait 30 minutes for a table. That was worth it for such a delicious pizza. 😋 I was initially skeptical that the pizza was cut with scissors, but it's a great idea instead of struggling with a knife and fork. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious pizza in a lovely atmosphere with very friendly service 🍕🍕. During the week it's not too crowded and very pleasant. On weekends it can get a bit noisier and there can be longer wait times, but that's to be expected.

There were two of us there. We had to wait a long time for our pizzas. Others who ordered after us had already finished their food by the time our order arrived. Four of us ate at Capvin. Our first impression was okay; the service was friendly, but it was quite warm and a bit stuffy inside. Unfortunately, our visit didn't go particularly well: When our pizzas arrived, my order was missing. I was told it was "just in the oven," but I ended up having to wait another 10 to 15 minutes. Some of my friends had already finished eating when my pizza finally arrived. From experience, I suspect my order was simply forgotten... because if a pizza is actually already in the oven, it usually doesn't take another 10 minutes. I think the waitress could have been more honest and perhaps even offered me a free drink. My pizza tasted good, but I think €18 for a pizza is really steep. One of my friends had a calzone, the cooked ham in it wasn't tasty at all, and he didn't finish it. Overall, the food was mediocre, and I didn't think the value for money was right. Unfortunately, I was given strange looks when I didn't tip. It's a shame, because the place actually had potential.

The gluten-free pizza has improved significantly! Unfortunately, the base costs €5 extra. Regular pizza, though, was always great!

It's been a place I've wanted to visit for a long time, and getting a seat without a reservation is almost impossible. The staff are very warm and friendly. The service was disorganized and hectic. My companion and I waited 25 minutes for the aperitif, a watery and stale-tasting Aperol Spritz. For starters, I got the worst vitello tonnato ever: rancid tuna paste, probably from a tube, with a slightly sour aftertaste. The veal tasted like old roast beef. We were disappointed, but figured it was our own fault for ordering something like that at a pizzeria. So we looked forward to the supposedly special "Neapolitan pizza." This was also a bitter disappointment. The base and edges were charred, and the inside was soft and mushy. The taste was somewhere between Pizza Hut and Dr. Oetker with a pungent-smelling cheese. Thankfully, we skipped dessert, as the food was heavy on our stomachs. The wine was also unimpressive (warm, lacking in finesse, Chardonnay), along with a sparkling sparkling wine. This place has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. Franchise trash of the lowest category.

We received a poor welcome the moment we entered the store. No "hello" or "warm welcome." We were shown to the worst seat (if you can even call it a "seat"), and the aforementioned receptionist didn't bother us any further. We ordered an appetizer and then, while we were eating, were very rudely told not to mess up the menu and to order the main course as soon as possible: !!while the menu was being taken away from us!! How were we supposed to look for a dish? The food was also mediocre. My colleague's pizza was left with !both! toppings... (The order was also taken by the aforementioned receptionist...). It just tasted like dough and cheese, what can you say? We won't be coming back.

They had a misunderstanding in their Service. Making us pay for it. It was one of my go-to in Bielefeld but i had to discuss half an hour because they did a mistake and as i took it then i had to asume the cost of it. Even thought i asked before that i did Not Order that and they said it was a mistake that they will be responsible for it. Surprise when they hand us the bill and it was included. Then i had to discuss 30-40 minutes because of this. And i had to pay.

I recently went to Capvin at Klosterplatz and thought it was really good. I especially liked the crispy crust of the Neapolitan pizza. The selection of vegetarian and unusual toppings is also great. The price/performance ratio is good.

The best Napoleonic pizza you'll find in Bielefeld! I've been there so many times, and every time it's a highlight. They offer various pizza variations, and you get classic pizza scissors for cutting the pizza. All pizzas are baked in a stone oven and have the typical light crust and thin base. The appetizers and desserts are also good. Definitely worth trying :)

A slice of Naples in Bielefeld! Very good Neapolitan pizza, almost like in Naples. I've been to Capvin several times, and the quality and taste are impressive across the board! The ambiance is really nice, and the restaurant has a modern interior. The service is also very attentive. There's a large selection of pizzas, as well as a few select starters and desserts. If you're looking for a really good Neapolitan pizza, Capvin is the place to go!

The pizza at Capvin is truly delicious and prepared in the Neapolitan style. Most varieties are full of flavor and are also available at a fair price. My only minor criticism was the Margherita, which I found a bit disappointing in terms of taste. The ambiance is nice and cozy; you immediately feel at home. However, it's often quite busy on Fridays, so it can sometimes be difficult to get a seat. Nevertheless, Capvin is overall a really good place for anyone who enjoys authentic, delicious pizza.

Three of us were there on Saturday evening. We ordered "Vitello Donato" as an appetizer. After an employee turned around halfway through with the appetizer and left it at the counter, it was finally brought to our table 15 minutes later by someone else. While the appetizer was "sitting there" (the employee's exact words: "Oh, that's sitting there!"), we received our drinks. The spritzer we ordered, despite being asked to mix it roughly 50/50 (which is the hallmark of a spritzer), was at best "water with a dash of juice." They made adjustments accordingly. The vitello donato was dry, and the spoon, which was immersed in the tuna paste, was dirty. The bread served with it was old and hard, like rusks. Not to be confused with "overcooked"—it wasn't. We sent the appetizer back. The pizza that was served had balsamic vinegar leaves sprinkled on it, probably picked in April of this year (see photo). The leaves were wilted and an insult to the guest. It's a real shame that an experience associated with a restaurant visit ends in such an "experience."

Just came from the Naples area and found the pizza here that looks as good and tastes almost as good as there. There is still room for improvement because it is a little too slippery. (Been there/tried several times now)

I ordered a gluten-free pizza for the first time via Uber Eats. After accepting the order and the delivery time had expired, Capvin called me and informed me that the pizza was unfortunately sold out (they didn't check this when Capvin accepted the order) and that I would have to cancel the order because they couldn't do it themselves. So I canceled via Uber Eats, and hey presto: I was left with the cancellation fee, in my case around €10. It's a strong business practice to tell the customer that you have to cancel the order yourself in order to pass the fees on to them. It left a very bad taste in my mouth and, in my opinion, is completely unacceptable.

Firstly, the waitress was very nice and polite, secondly, the pizza was delicious and it is very interesting that it is cut with scissors, and the ambience is nice and cozy.

My first visit on September 27, 2025, was very impressive. Everything was just right: the convenient location on Klosterplatz, the ambiance, the exemplary service, and the option to sit inside or outside. The pizza I chose was phenomenal; I've never seen anything like it before, nor tasted anything so delicious. I will be back and would happily recommend Capvin.

We ordered the Ortolana pizza with extra cheese. According to the menu, the Ortolana actually doesn't contain any cheese, which seems like a marketing ploy, as hardly anyone expects it. Ordering the cheese separately seemed like a rip-off to us. In the end, we paid €35 ​​for two pizzas. Service a bit pushy During our meal, the server asked if we were ready, even though we hadn't been there long. We also wanted to sit upstairs. Even though the stairs were open, we weren't allowed to, which seemed a bit awkward, especially since the restaurant wasn't full. Conclusion The pizza tasted good, but the price-performance ratio and service left something to be desired. The communication about additional costs and cheese options was confusing. But my reviews are honest, and that's why I'm giving it three stars for the good pizza, the ambiance, and the drinks.

We had reserved a week in advance. When we arrived, we were told it was too warm upstairs. When we wanted to check it out anyway, it was apparently already occupied by an older couple. We were then told to wait 5-10 minutes. When we were still waiting after 25 minutes, we finally left.

I've been there several times now. The food is a 5/5 and highly recommended. The service is sometimes very good, but sometimes I feel misunderstood. The seats were far too narrow, it was very loud, and we weren't served after ordering our food, which is a shame because we would have liked to order more. I don't come every week, but I like to come back every now and then – it's simply a nice place to enjoy a good pizza. A quick note: The tiramisu was rather average, but that's a matter of taste. We were at the evening market on July 24th and were hungry. The pizzas the other customers were having looked delicious, but a whole pizza was too much for us. So we went to Capvin – a nice place, especially in all the hustle and bustle. Just my thing. We quickly asked about alternatives and immediately received a good suggestion. They said the food would take about 30 minutes – no problem for us. We waited outside for a bit, and after what felt like five minutes, we received the message: The food was ready. That's what service looks like. Friendly, attentive, pompous, and motivated. Thank you for that.

I get the hype – but only on a local level. In Bielefeld, the pizza might be among the top three, and if you’re craving pizza while you’re here, it’s definitely worth a try. That said, in the bigger picture of the pizza world, it tastes a bit too bland for me. Sure, there are a lot of myths surrounding the original Neapolitan pizza, but in the end, it’s all a matter of taste – and this is just one of many opinions.
