Nice restaurant with good food and good service.

Currywurst tasted OK. Salad OK, dressing from the tasty cheap bottle. Curry sauce watery and far too little. Small dollop of mayo. When asked, there was approx. 0.2 liters of curry sauce, cold!! There were also cheeky comments from the landlord when paying.

We stopped here briefly while passing through because the kids were tired of rolls. From the outside, it was unassuming, and the general ambiance oscillated between a rustic pub and modern fast-food decor. Inside, however, it quickly became clear that this was a restaurant that at least fundamentally understands its craft and has high standards. On the one hand, it has managed to attract the classic "pub-goers," and on the other, the place is simply immaculately clean! And that's despite the age of the building certainly not making it easy. The owner was an open, hospitable gentleman with a smile on his face (absolutely not normal these days and therefore worth highlighting!). Since it was a Saturday, his family was there too, and his son (4?) immediately greeted our daughter (5) with a warm hug. We have rarely felt so comfortable and welcome. The owner even asked us on the initiative whether the food should be adapted for children. Attentive, attentive to the guest, and friendly – ​​all of this is rare these days. The food on offer is a combination of a classic snack and a doner kebab, and the kebab didn't look bad either. Unfortunately, and this is the only drawback, we could only eat fries, as there were no vegetarian options other than coleslaw. This may not bother their everyday clientele, but if I may offer a small tip for expanding their customer base: They now offer very good vegetarian nuggets or similar frozen items. Or breaded feta, something that's not a side dish. Either way, if we drive past again, we'll stop because the fries were excellent and, at €3, almost TOO good value! :-D We wish the owner and his family continued success with their business and look forward to our next visit.
