A small, somewhat inconspicuous restaurant from the street, it serves excellent Asian cuisine. A true insider tip!

We were extremely satisfied. Everything was perfect. We stayed overnight and enjoyed the peace and quiet there. The breakfast selection was perfectly adequate; there's no buffet, which was super relaxing for us. We had a delicious meal in the restaurant on our first evening. Very friendly owners; we didn't miss anything. Thank you very much.

We went there for a spa treatment, and the hand spa is completely overpriced for what you get. They only washed my hair. I barely felt the head massage, which was so gentle, and the neck, shoulder, and hand massage was completely missing. Extremely disappointed with this service, unfortunately.

The arrival and check-in were great. We found it very easy... central location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The beds are incredibly clean, and we slept very well. The room is also very clean. All in all, it was very good. We always enjoy coming back to the Cao Lai for our vacation.

We stayed in a double room there from July 18th to 20th. What can I say...a very nice room and very friendly hosts. The breakfast was plentiful and delicious. The rolls from bakery Fröllje are truly delicious. We would love to return to the Hotel/Pension Cao Lai.

Super delicious and beautifully presented food!

We were guests from May 2nd to May 4th, 2025. The reception was friendly and accommodating, the double room was nicely furnished and extremely clean, as was the bathroom. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and were pleasantly surprised again, well prepared, great in taste and pleasantly priced. The breakfast served was again surprising, varied and more than sufficient. For me the absolute crowning glory was the lovingly, stylishly prepared facility, someone knows their craft. We'll be back and I recommend a visit to others.

10 minutes from the beach. Unfortunately, I'm very picky when it comes to cleanliness and generally staying in hotels, but we felt really comfortable in this hotel. You come in and it just smells new, it's very clean and super inviting. We were only there one night because we escaped from another hotel. But the next time we go on vacation to the North Sea, accommodation will be our first port of call.

Went there for the first time because our friends had heard good things about the restaurant. The tables were tastefully set, but on Saturday evening only 3 tables were occupied, which made me a bit thoughtful. My soup No. 10 tasted good, my wife's No. 12 tasted bland and watery. My dish no. Conclusion: Not necessarily a must for me.

I had my first Thai massage today and came out so excited and relaxed. I highly recommend the massage and will definitely be back. I booked the full body massage for 60 minutes. Many thanks to the team and especially to the masseuse. 🙏🏼

I've stayed in maybe 20 hotels/pensions in the last 3 years and this was the best in the 3 years. I slept better than at home. Staff are very friendly and committed and do their best for the guest's well-being. Everything was totally uncomplicated from check in to check out. We also ate in the restaurant twice and it was always great. All in all there is nothing to complain about, just as it should be if you want to have a relaxed vacation. Price performance ratio unbeatable. Thanks

The restaurant is barely visible from the street. If you drive into the parking lot behind the house you come to this very nice restaurant, which also has covered seating outside. I had chicken with peanut sauce, vegetables and rice. The peanut sauce was definitely homemade and extremely good. The same applies to the rest. A pot of jasmine tea even came with a tea infuser and a bowl to put it down after the steeping time. At many other Asian restaurants you get the loose tea directly into the pot and it ends up tasting bitter because it has been steeped for too long. This restaurant is absolutely recommended!

I was traveling for work and spontaneously went to Cao Lai. To rent a room. I also had dinner there and the food was very tasty and cheap. The service was attentive, courteous and very friendly. The room was small but functional. The bed was a good size and comfortable. I will stay there again if I get the chance.

For the last two years we have only ordered and had delivered here. Because we always really enjoyed it, we spontaneously went to the restaurant to eat at the weekend. We found the service extremely pleasant and accommodating. The ambience is great and everything is really spotlessly clean. The food is really tasty and when served on a plate it is also a visual treat. The only minimal negative point. There is no place to change diapers. But that’s “complaining” at a high level. We are happy to continue to be customers here.

We went there for dinner today. The food was ok, the service was very, very slow, we had to wait a long time for it. At the next table there was a freezer bag in the duck. Something like that probably doesn't work. We won't go there again

Unfortunately very disappointed with the guesthouse, the rooms made a good impression at first, but then you saw the deficiencies. It's a shame for the price, there were residues of mosquitoes everywhere on the walls, cupboards, or from trying to kill them, there was blood on the bathroom door frame Someone was on it a lot, the refrigerator was broken, the shower couldn't be turned off, only one bulb in the entire bathroom was lit. And no mosquito net on windows so windows closed at 30c in the room It's a shame actually.

Wir waren in diesem Jahre 2x hier lecker essen.. Das Lokal bietet eine große Auswahl und alle bisher ausgewählten Gericht haben uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Es empfiehlt sich auf jeden Fall zu reservieren, denn dort kommen häufiger spontan auch Gruppen vorbei, und dann sind die Plätze sehr schnell ausgebucht. Bei unserem 2. Besuch am vergangen Wochenende mussten wir allerdings sehr lange, über 75 Minuten, auf unser Essen warten, und daher gibt es auch nur 4 Sterne.

Ich wurde hier freundlich und nett zum Aufenthalt in der Pension empfangen. Das telefonisch, bei Abfahrt, vorbestellte Essen aus dem Restaurant war ebenfalls schon fertig. Zum Restaurant: Die 2 bestellen Vorspeisen waren sehr lecker, der Kontakt zur Bedienung war auch sehr schön. Hier stimmt die Preis - Leistung absolut. Zur Pension: Da ich nur zur Übernachtung geblieben bin waren meine Ansprüche nicht hoch. Dennoch war ich überrascht über die Zimmerausstattung (Zimmer 2}, Badezimmer und WC im Dachgeschoss sind frisch renoviert und wirken modern. Schlafzimmer mit TV war ok. Aber alles sauber und gut gepflegt. Im m Dachgeschoss befindet sich ebenfalls ein Aufenthaltsraum mit authentischen Schellack - Perlmutt Möbeln aus Vietnam.

Top geführtes Thairestaurant. Sehr leckere und reichhaltige Speisen. Super Service. Sehr sauber und Blick in den wunderschön angelegten Garten, wenn man auf der Terrasse sitzt. Preise sind unschlagbar günstig.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Mussten Nicht lange warten. Die Ente war sehr lecker. Ein tolles, sauberes Restaurant. Preis-Leistung passt für ein Ferienort sehr gut. Parkplätze sind hinter dem Haus.

Waren das 3. Mal dort, 2 x neu renovierte und schicke Zimmer erhalten . Beim 3. Mal ein abgewohntes Appartment Nr.6 mit Bad zwischen Schlafzimmer und Küche erhalten. Das andere DZ war ok (im weiß geklinkerten Haus). Die Besitzerin wollte 12,- Euro fürs Frühstück haben obwohl bei der Buchung 9,- Euro angegeben war. Frühstück ist sehr gut und reichhaltig obwohl kein Frühstücksbuffet .
