Campus Kebab in Lübeck

As of 2022: Doner meat is freshly cut and doesn't come from an ominous warming container. Salads are crisp and fresh. The spicy sauce is super delicious and homemade. Since the new owner started baking the flatbread fresh daily, this kebab shop has been one of my favorites. Unfortunately, the previous owner (before 2022) drove the shop into the ground with his lackluster attitude and sticky bread, which is why the older reviews are often negative. In any case, the new owner puts a lot of effort into running this shop with a lot of passion, which is immediately evident in the friendly smile and the good taste. Sad update October 2025: Apparently, there's been another change of management. The pizza I ordered was okay, but the doner wasn't that great. Too bad, I'll have to find a new regular kebab shop. 🤷

Yes, I can recommend it. The food is fresh and delicious...and the prices are moderate.

Crispy homemade bread. Fresh salads. The sauces are nothing special, but they're good. The meat is also of the usual high quality. But for the good bread and the card payment, it's definitely a 5*. We're happy to make a detour for that.

Charging €12.50 for a salad plate with meat and then using that to sell you a kebab is cheeky and far from hospitable.

Update 08/25 Unfortunately, the chicken is often very fatty and not cooked crispy. Once, I even got the leftovers from the warming box. As a result, it was very slimy. 3/5 stars Update 06/25 Everything's almost back to normal. The bread is once again the super homemade one, and card payments are accepted again. 4 out of 5 stars now. Post from 01/25 This is actually our regular kebab place. Unfortunately, it seems the owner has changed... Please note: Card payments are no longer accepted. About the food: Unfortunately, the kebab today didn't taste good at all. The super homemade bread is now cheap industrial bread. It's dry, dusty, and falling apart. The meat was already very dry; it was reheated, but it was a disappointment. The price/performance ratio is currently no longer right! I wouldn't recommend it. 1 out of 5 stars

A story began and there they wrote "once upon a time." Absolutely not recommended anymore. I don't like the sauces anymore, and the meat was like cardboard! Good luck that not everyone sees it that way.

This used to be one of the best kebab shops, but since the change in staff and the design, it's really gotten worse. The new staff is extremely rude, and the food is just average—nowhere near as good as it used to be. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend the shop.

The food was very tasty, we found €7.50 for the kebab and €8 for the dürüm reasonable. The kebab man was very nice, everything tasted fresh and the vegetables were crunchy. would 100% come again - recommended :)

5 stars – highly recommended! Campus Kebab is without a doubt one of the best kebab shops in the city! The quality of the ingredients is top – the meat is juicy, freshly grilled and the vegetables are crunchy and aromatic. I would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the team: you are always greeted with a smile, special requests are gladly taken into account, and the service is quick and courteous. Here you can see that customer satisfaction is very important. I always enjoy coming back!

Went there for the first time yesterday, on the recommendation of a colleague. Bread is homemade and tastes really great. Portion size was great, all components in the kebab worked well together. The only thing that was very curry-like was the cocktail sauce, which took a little getting used to but wasn't too bad. Atmosphere inviting and cozy. The owner is in a good mood and always has a good saying on his lips. So gladly again. 👍

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) I've eaten many kebabs before, but this one was really in a class of its own! The absolute highlight: the homemade bread. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside – simply perfect and a treat compared to the usual standard bread. The meat was juicy, excellently seasoned and grilled just right. The fresh ingredients, crisp salad and homemade sauces rounded the whole thing off perfectly. You can taste the emphasis on quality here! The service was friendly, the portions were generous, and the value for money was unbeatable. If you are looking for the perfect kebab, you should definitely try this shop. I'll definitely be back!

!!! Danger !!! After apparently changing ownership, I have to say... it tastes just as good as before! The homemade bread was great, the sauces were delicious, the fries were crispy and the service was very accommodating. The wall design is now much quieter and creates a nice ambience. Finally, I would like to mention again: Marcel, please don't worry, everything is fine & basically as always! :)

Yesterday I wanted to get kebab as usual and then noticed that the owners had changed. The kebab is a disaster... Bread very bad, cocktail sauce tastes like curry ketchup… The only thing that was okay was the friendliness of the servers. I won't visit again

A really solid store since the new management. What makes this particularly special is the home-baked bread and the option to pay by card! The taste of the kebab is always good, but variable, depending on the employee, sometimes very good and sometimes with too much meat and too much sauce. Edit January 21st: recently the freshly baked bread, the delicious sauces and card payment have disappeared, what remains is a below average kebab. Really sad.

I get a kebab there every now and then and haven't been disappointed so far. Today it was a jumbo kebab. The meat was freshly shaved off the spit, the bread was hot and "fluffy", the cacık was tasty and not too garlicky and the salad was fresh and crunchy. And it lived up to its name “Jumbo” and was a real man’s portion. I will definitely go there again, the quality and cleanliness of the store are simply convincing.

So far I've only ever eaten currywurst, very tasty. Why only two stars? Ordered a kebab today and it was very bad. It was to take away, when I unpacked it it was dripping with fat and tasted completely like old fat. Then went in the trash. It's a shame but never again.

Meat was gristly and burnt and poorly seasoned. There was far too little salad and sauce on the Dürüm. Dürüm consisted of 80% meat. And bread was very soggy.

The kebabs are always very tasty. The only drawback: I love curry sauce with kebab and unfortunately it's not available there.

Mittlerweile ein guter Döner. Aber 7€ sind kein angemessener Preis für einen einfachen Döner - früher war das mal ein Schüler- und Studentenessen. Heute kann ich mir das als Student nicht mehr leisten.

Ein normaler Preis für einen döner und sogar einen Studentendeal, doch leider schmeckte es mir einfach nicht.

Super! Das Brot ist selbst gebacken und frisch. Das Fleisch ist sehr gut gewürzt, die Saucen sind lecker und die Salate sind frisch. Mindestens einmal in der Woche gönne ich mir einen Döner von Campus Kebab!

Vor 8 Jahren schonmal hier gewesen, hatte ich sehr gut in Erinnerung und ist auch qualitativ mindestens noch genauso gut 👍 Preise total in Ordnung und gerechtfertigt

Überrascht, wie gut die Pommes waren. Wenn nun noch der Preis für die Saucen ausgezeichnet wäre und nicht die kleinste Portionsgröße (Miniplastiktütchen) zur Verfügung stünde.

Bester Döner seit langem. Besonders in dem sehr frischen, knusprigen Brot. Höflicher, toller Service. So geht Döner.

Ich habe schon einige Döner-Läden in Lübeck getestet. Überall gab es entweder weiches oder abgestandenes Brot, kaltes Fleisch oder alte Salate, aber ich muss sagen, dass der Döner hier echt klasse ist. Das Personal ist super freundlich und auch Hygiene wird hier großgeschrieben. Selbst nach langen Tagen, lohnt sich der Weg hierher für den besten Döner Lübecks! Ich habe es schon vielen empfohlen und niemand äußerte jemals negative Kritik! Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Ich bin leider nicht begeistert, seit dem Wechsel schmeckt es mir nicht mehr. Das Brot wenn es selber gemacht ist fehlt es an Salz und schmeckt fade, leider ist es auch sehr weich. Fleisch und Salat sind OK, aber auch der Zaziki schmeckt nach nix.

Der Döner war unfassbar Lecker das Brot selbst gemacht das Fleisch sehr gut, Service war super toll besser als bei anderen Läden
