Very friendly hosts – she cooks, he serves – in a small, standard dining room. Special requests for children and vegetarians are catered for, although the focus is clearly on meat dishes. Delicious and affordable food, with noticeably fresh ingredients and nothing from canned food. We had redfish, a meat platter, goulash, pasta, fried egg, and mushroom soup – to everyone's satisfaction.

Unfortunately, I can't say anything about the food or the restaurant... Because we were very rudely turned away when my heavily pregnant friend and I arrived at the parking lot with my baby and greeted each other. The owner immediately came out and told us to park our cars somewhere else because there were guests coming. When we replied that we'd like to have a coffee there, he said, "No, that won't work here," and so we were left standing there in the cold... We're speechless and can't understand why some people are like that. What a shame...

My girlfriend and I parked in the restaurant's parking lot and stood next to the cars and chatted for a bit before we wanted to go in. (Because we still wanted to load things from one car to the other.) Anyway, someone came out of the restaurant and told us to move because orders were about to be delivered. (In a not exactly friendly tone) We said that it was no problem and we could come in straight away and have a drink. He then said that it wasn't really a good time and then waved us off. When we asked if we could come in and have a coffee, he simply said no. Totally stupid and unprofessional. Especially since the restaurant was officially open. Just annoying because I'm heavily pregnant, my girlfriend had her child with her and it was already pretty chilly outside. So thanks for nothing.

We spontaneously stopped by on our bikes, longing for a warm drink. Affordable coffee specialties, a delicious apple pie with whipped cream, and crispy, delicious fries on the side. Unexpectedly good in a place that looks like grandma and grandpa's. A great experience!

Super delicious German cuisine! The duck with dumplings and red cabbage was hearty and perfectly prepared. Honestly: The red cabbage and dumplings were better than Grandma's (sorry, Grandma 😅). I'd go back anytime!

Four of us were there for lunch today. We've rarely had such a fun and pleasant experience in a restaurant. The food was delicious, and the owner was extremely friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back.

So, today we visited for the second time. We were completely satisfied again. Anyone who enjoys good home cooking will definitely get their money's worth here. We're always happy to come back.

We ate there twice during our stay and were very satisfied both times! The Byn ollen Hoff café and restaurant is a lovingly run family business with classic, home-style cooking, friendly service, and a truly fair price-performance ratio. We thoroughly enjoyed both the fresh fish and the meat dishes. Our dog was also warmly welcomed, which made the visit even more enjoyable. A helpful tip for anyone planning a visit: It's best to arrive early – ideally before 6 p.m. – as the restaurant closes quite early. It's also closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so check the opening hours beforehand. If it's open, we highly recommend it. We'd love to come back!

Good food with very friendly service.

A homely restaurant with a rustic feel. Since my last visit on my way to vacation was almost two years ago, I can't remember what I had to eat, but it was excellent. My next visit is planned for this year. Best regards

We stopped by during our bike trip along the B-U route. The owner was very kind while we attempted to order in poor German. He also speaks wonderful English. He shared some of the history of the establishment and his family. Food was standard pub far, with options of schnitzel, wurst, etc. We found the food fine and enjoyable; but the company of the owner exceptional.

Everything is typically East German. Food very tasty.

The owner made us something to eat after a long bike ride, even though the kitchen was actually closed, and was otherwise a very friendly and good host. I can really only recommend the place for such a short beer stop while cycling (I still don't have the personal experience for more).

Eat like you eat, the motto of this small restaurant. And it does what it promises. Good, honest home cooking (the meatball was sensational and the fried potatoes too 👍) Reasonable prices. The ambience is more East Algic but original. The good reviews attracted us here as a lunch break between Usedom and Dresden. A good choice

Old family-run restaurant in Altenhof (Werbellinsee). Service was not very friendly. Cake was good. A cappuccino for 3.80 euros was amazing, cappuccino is made from powder infused with water.

Sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, Essen schmeckt ganz wunderbar!

Ob draußen oder im Restaurant alles mit Liebe hergerichtet und das Essen war sehr lecker. Der Chef des Hauses ist ein freundlicher Kerl, der weiß wie man mit Gästen umgeht. Kann es nur empfehlen, dort eine Weile seine Zeit zu genießen, ob bei Kaffee und Kuchen oder beim Mittagessen. Ist eben ein Familienbetrieb, nicht husch husch.

Es ist ein richtiges gemütliches Restaurant. Die Bedienung ist schnell und auf das Essen brauchte man auch nicht lange warten, man wurde bei der Bestellung gefragt ob große Portion oder kleine Portion. Parkplätze sind auch vorhanden und für Rollstuhlfahrer ist auch alles in Ordnung. 👍 Preise sind auch gut.

Zum zweiten mal und jedes Jahr wieder. Gute und leckere Hausmannskost zu vernünftigen Preisen, sowie nette Bewirtung.

Wir waren absolut begeistert. Große Auswahl an Speisen und super lecker. Selten so schmackhaft gegessen. Der Clou war zum Abschluss der Cappuccino. Leute, alles in Allem, ein Geheimtipp!

Lange nicht so gut gegessen! Auf der Speisekarte findet man viele gute alte Gerichte - "kein 0815", wie so oft! Wenn man auf Schickimicki verzichten kann und einfach nur gut Essen möchte- Absolute Empfehlung!

Speisen lecker... Lokal vom Stil sehr alt.. Renovierung wäre ratsam...leider oft zu aus unerklärlichen Gründen.

Ne richtig tolle Dorfkneipe. Am Tresen mit dem Wirt schwatzen und in der Küche kocht Mutti feinste Hausmannskost, das mein ich so wie es ist. Selten geworden, diese authentische Kneipenkultur. Ich gebe es fast ungern weiter

Haben am Vorweihnachtsabend für die Familie Essen bestellt, haben die doppelte Portion bekommen, nur die Hälfte bezahlt und es hat dreimal so gut geschmeckt Familie Galley/Zech

Das Essen und der Service waren sehr gut,hier kocht die Chefin selbst. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und unser Hund durfte mit hinein.

Kann man bedingungslos empfehlen. Super leckere und frische Hausmannskost. Absolut faire Preise und sehr familienfreundliche Bedienung. Wir kommen gerne wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der Nähe sind.

Es ist ein unscheinbares Restaurant, aber das Essen hat uns sehr überzeugt, der Fisch (Maränen) war auf dem Punkt, der Dressing von unserem Salat war sehr lecker, die Bratkartoffeln wie bei Oma zuhause.
