This restaurant was always good, and it still is. The food is plentiful and the portions are generous. The service is first-class; it's a gem in Lichterfelde East. You can eat well here. I would always recommend making a reservation.

We visited the Surf Inn for the first time for Mother's Day. We actually just wanted to have breakfast with our moms (it was delicious). The extremely friendly service and a few cocktails in the beautiful, peaceful garden whetted our appetite for more: schnitzel, nachos, burgers, and tapas. And again: simply delicious! We absolutely recommend this restaurant. Don't wait too long!!!

Regarding SCHNITZEL DAY: I wasn't aware that you could fold a schnitzel down to 1.5 mm - but it works. Drink prices like the Ritz Carlton... Conclusion: NEVER AGAIN

It's always nice at the SurfInn. What we like best is the always tastefully prepared and delicious food, as well as the friendly and attentive service. Keep it up, we'll always be happy to come back.

We recently stayed at the Surf Inn. The atmosphere was good and there was nothing wrong with the food either. If it weren't for the difference in the cocktails during and outside happy hour. Several at the table were under the impression that alcohol was cut during happy hour. This was the impression they each had with their drink. Everyone ordered the same drinks again after happy hour and several people noticed the difference. Brown sugar was missing from some cocktails even though it should have been there. Instead, normal sugar was probably used, which isn't bad in itself, but it's not an ingredient in the cocktail. It is also a good idea to check the invoice, because sometimes there are items on it that someone else had. In general we like to go there, it tastes good, the service is usually nice, but it's still worth taking a closer look.

I always enjoy coming here. Despite the huge selection of food, which is often not a good indicator, it was super tasty, plentiful and reasonably priced. The service is very nice and friendly and accommodating despite the full house. Sitting outside and inside is very good. Keep it up!

Steffi is a SERVICE person in the very best sense of the word. If the delicious food alone wasn't reason enough for one (or many) visits, then you should definitely go to get to know THEM. A friendly welcome and a loving, relaxed tone make every visit a “coming home” feeling. Since many people share this impression, a reservation is recommended. The fifth star for the ambience refers to the wooden chairs, which can make sitting for long periods of time a bit of a challenge, and the sometimes cheerful noise level. 😉

Be careful, dangerous to health!! We were there again recently and afterward all three of us had severe cramps, vomiting and bad diarrhea. It's now been over a week and two of us are still struggling with stomach and intestinal problems and severe exhaustion. The only thing the three of us ate together were nachos with cheese and two dips (sour cream and guacamole). We used to be regulars and ate there regularly but that was the last time we went there.

I was invited there for breakfast for a birthday party. The location can be described as small, but has a nice, dignified atmosphere. The breakfast was very rich and offered a large selection... different rolls, different types of cheese and sausage, scrambled eggs, salmon and different types of fruit. Everything was very appetizingly prepared and fresh... sparkling wine is included in the breakfast. The service was very friendly and quick. Absolutely recommended. I can't comment on the price-performance ratio.

Delicious tapas and delicious cocktails

It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. The service was great - really nice, very friendly and quick and careful. Unfortunately - but of course great for the café - it suddenly became completely full and you could no longer chat in peace as before. But the fact that every seat was occupied shows that people feel very comfortable there. It's definitely not the last time I've been there 🙃

I went for lunch last week because I was disappointed that the fish wasn't prepared properly. The potato salad was ready and the atmosphere reminds me more of a snack bar. There are definitely better restaurants in the area.

Was there on Saturday 11/9/24 and wanted to enjoy a cocktail……. I can't recommend it at all, very expensive, small glass, there was hardly any alcohol in it. Very disappointing, never again!

Whatever I was expecting, I wasn't expecting the feeling of being back in California. Without a 14 hour flight, super friendly service, a menu that leaves nothing to be desired, that doesn't make Mells Drive Inn in San Francisco any better. Atmosphere, offerings and service are all at their best and at a good price. You'll see me there a lot now. American diner in rainy Berlin, the Goldengate Bridge and the Californian sun are missing, but in the Surf Inn you only miss them when you go home.

Went to this Surf Inn for the first time today. I remember the Surf Inn in Mariendorf from my youth and was really excited. What can I say? Still great. Good food, good value for money and very friendly and courteous service. We'll be back

The waitress was a super nice and competent girl. The food came quickly, but overall it was a bit bland. Somehow the real Mexican vibe or taste was just missing. The salad was brought in a nice looking nacho cup, but unfortunately the composition was very unimaginative. So the conclusion: Restaurant and service good to very good. Kitchen quite OK if you want to eat something with a Mexican touch and don't want to drive too far. Next time I'll try a burger.
