Café Surf Inn in Berlin

Was there on Saturday 11/9/24 and wanted to enjoy a cocktail……. I can't recommend it at all, very expensive, small glass, there was hardly any alcohol in it. Very disappointing, never again!

We had a rich and good breakfast, price/performance is great. In the summer it's certainly nice to sit in the front garden.

Whatever I was expecting, I wasn't expecting the feeling of being back in California. Without a 14 hour flight, super friendly service, a menu that leaves nothing to be desired, that doesn't make Mells Drive Inn in San Francisco any better. Atmosphere, offerings and service are all at their best and at a good price. You'll see me there a lot now. American diner in rainy Berlin, the Goldengate Bridge and the Californian sun are missing, but in the Surf Inn you only miss them when you go home.

Went to this Surf Inn for the first time today. I remember the Surf Inn in Mariendorf from my youth and was really excited. What can I say? Still great. Good food, good value for money and very friendly and courteous service. We'll be back

Pleasant cafe and very good offerings

The café is more than a café. The menu leaves little to be desired. Even delicious tapas are a treat. The friendly colleagues are quick, friendly and competent. I would gladly give more than five stars.

The waitress was a super nice and competent girl. The food came quickly, but overall it was a bit bland. Somehow the real Mexican vibe or taste was just missing. The salad was brought in a nice looking nacho cup, but unfortunately the composition was very unimaginative. So the conclusion: Restaurant and service good to very good. Kitchen quite OK if you want to eat something with a Mexican touch and don't want to drive too far. Next time I'll try a burger.

Breakfast was okay, but it was very dirty. The table was sticky, wouldn't be wiped clean after the previous hardest one. Tea cup was also sticky.

The breakfast was amazing 😍 We had breakfast for 2 people. Well, I don't know who isn't full. The service was excellent and in a good mood. It's better to make a reservation on Sunday, as it's quite full.

Very nice location in the idyllic Lichterfelde Ost. This time I ate grilled chicken breast. Unfortunately it was a bit dry. I had breakfast there once and it was absolutely excellent. Service very friendly and accommodating. My conclusion: Breakfast was great, food was a bit hit and miss.

Roller shop with super tasty little things

A nice little shop in a quiet area, perfect for having breakfast in the morning with the terrace. For us here in Lichterfelde the best shop. The staff is extremely friendly, almost like a family here and you quickly make friends, which gives you a feel-good atmosphere. You can even have a great lunch here or have a relaxed drink in the evening. The prices are also great.

We ate there on Schnitzel Day. The portions were smaller than last time. Less fried potatoes and salad. Of course, the price is more than okay. Taste good too. But my wife's salad was really not enough for 15 euros. Loveless and almost just green stuff. That's not enough for the price. But we would still like to come back.

The deluxe breakfast here is phenomenal! Delicious rolls, a huge selection of fresh toppings, fruit and vegetables, plus a choice of Prosecco or freshly squeezed orange juice. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, after moving from the Surf Inn, the store took a very negative turn. In my opinion, the lights in the store are far too bright and no longer provide a cozy atmosphere like before. The cocktails are still incredibly tasty, but they can no longer be enjoyed as nicely due to the not really decorated ambience. Then there is the fact that the location of the shop is now completely hidden and it is no longer an option to spontaneously meet up with girls there. It's a shame, but I still wish the store much success

We wanted "late pieces" quite spontaneously, called and reserved a table for half an hour later, I think it was 10.30 a.m.... The restaurant was very full, but we still got a great table with a view of the garden, but with the advice to reserve a little earlier next time, the service was quick and friendly, we ordered the small breakfast twice, with orange juice and a latte for everyone...were finished before the two large groups, so we had our breakfast really quickly...it was beautifully prepared with fruit and vegetables, everything was fresh and tasty... One star deducted for the ambience because it was of course quite loud with the large groups, but that's complaining at a very high level... If I'm in the area again, I'll definitely have my late piece there again... Oh well, it was just under 40 euros for 2 people, which is totally fine... Toilet is also available...

We were there for breakfast. Were brought to our reserved table. We were immediately asked if we had any drink requests. We ordered Ala Card. It happened quickly. It was fresh. It was delicious. Again and again. Thanks to the team.

The restaurant is good for breakfast. There is a good selection of meat, cheese, fruit and egg options for the breakfast dish. The prices for the main courses looked a bit overpriced, but all in all the restaurant is recommended. The fact that when you enter and are greeted you are first asked about a reservation instead of asking how many people you need a table for, gave us a bit of a negative impression.

It was my first time here and I really enjoyed it. The service was great - really nice, very friendly and quick and careful. Unfortunately - but of course great for the café - it suddenly became completely full and you could no longer chat in peace as before. But the fact that every seat was occupied shows that the people feel very comfortable there. It's definitely not the last time I've been there 🙃
