Cafe St. Tropez in Hilpoltstein

Day 1: Ordered a 300g Trucker Steak: The coleslaw isn't fresh—it stinks and clearly tastes bad. The sliced ​​onion tastes like rubber—its days of being cut and fresh are over. The tomato is edible, but it must have been yesterday's, as it wasn't fresh at first. Now there were two pieces of meat, fried at the counter. It looks good, but the taste and smell were a disaster. I thought it was some kind of marinade, but with the second piece, it was inedible. I only ate the fries, and the price I paid was €17.95. Day 2: Ordered half a pork knuckle for €14.95. This time, the situation was different: the pork knuckle was edible, but the fries were very few. I had to make up for it with bread. Summary: If you have the opportunity, go elsewhere. I've traveled quite a bit around the world and have never seen a place serving spoiled food. More frequent checks on the freshness of products are definitely needed. When ordering, I noticed the salad bar, which didn't look fresh. Maybe they could add a salad bar to each order for drivers. Then some vegetables would be circulated, and they'd be fresher because they'd be refilled. The place has potential, but it needs someone to manage it. I only saw one person frying and serving dishes at lightning speed. Overall, I wouldn't recommend it; there are many better places.

Disgusting Döner. I got a kebab today while waiting with my two kids (biggest mistake). The owner was smoking, went in, and didn't wipe his hands. He was rude and didn't ask how the kebabs were supposed to be. We're all doing badly. The health department needs to get a look in here urgently. The shop is also falling apart.

The food and service at the Weiherstüberl are excellent, although the menu selection is a bit limited, but everything is fresh. The campsite is fantastic; it has everything you need, and the owners are friendly and helpful. The only thing I don't like, but which is unavoidable given the layout, is that the shower area isn't separated from the toilets. However, this isn't a reason to deduct a star, as everything is always clean and well-stocked. Overall, it's a lovely campsite that I can wholeheartedly recommend. A big thank you to the owners who do most of the work themselves.
