Etwas überteuert. Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Der Service ist sehr langsam.

Wir haben zu zweit draussen einen wunderbaren Abend genossen, Steak und Gemüse waren ideal zubereitet, Beilagen nach Wunsch dazu, Personal sehr aufmerksam, wirklich tolle Adresse im Zentrum von Schwenningen zum Wohlfühlen

Used to be great – now sadly disappointing I went to brunch with friends at Vau in Schwenningen. The manager was very unfriendly, and the quality of the food left a lot to be desired. For €35, we experienced neither selection nor freshness – absolutely unjustified. Vau used to be really good, but apparently a lot has changed, presumably under new ownership. Unfortunately, it wasn't a good experience – we won't be back.

Waren gestern mit lieben Freunden spontan im Vau zum Abendessen . Es war ein hervorragender Abend mit sehr gutem Essen mit einer ansprechenden Tellersprache und einem sehr aufmerksamen Service Personal. Vielen lieben Dank an das ganze Team gerne wieder.

Beste Küche mit Topservice, wertiges Ambiente und faire Preise. Professioneller Service: gut ausgebildet, aufmerksam und freundlich. Als Gast macht es echt Spaß von Leuten bedient zu werden, die es können. Küche sehr gut, wertige Zutaten, gekonnt zubereitet, ansprechend angerichtet. Auch bei großem Andrang immer auf den Punkt. Der Koch weiß, was er tut. Auch die einfachen Gerichte sind ein Highlight, z.B. der Schweizer Wurstsalat mit guter Wurst, echtem Käse, grüner und saurer Gurke, exakt dekoriert. Salate mit sehr gutem Dressing, mein Tipp für den Sommer. Nur einmal in so vielen Jahren hatte ich ein Fragezeichen: lauwarme Maultaschen auf eiskaltem, geschmacksarmen Kartoffelsalat und Soße als Mischdeko (... die Täschle hatten aber schon Metzgerqualität!). Dem stehen echt viele kulinarische Glücksmomente gegenüber, also abhaken. Cola kalt, Weißwein kühl, Espresso auf italienischem Niveau und heiß. Toll auch das Ambiente, echt denkmalgeschützt, hohe Decken und coole Säulen, 1925 als Post gebaut. Hell und freundllich in der Raumwirkung, wertig und modern mit schwarzen Möbeln. Preise reel und fair, Qualität weit oben - man kann mit der Freundin hin, mit den Eltern, mit dem Chef ... oder einfach mal was trinken - passt immer.

Ein tolles Restaurant, Frühstück phantastisch, super aufmerksamer Service, immer gerne wieder, macht weiter so.

Sehr leckeres Essen, mega freundliches Personal, schönes Ambiente. Die Preise sind voll in Ordnung. Kann ich Sehr empfehlen.

Waren hier mit einer großen Gruppe, Essen war durch die Bank sehr lecker und wir wurde gut bedient. Die Holunderschorle ist eine klare Empfehlung :) In unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es zwei Ladeplätze, 50kW DC und 22kW AC.

Wir waren im Café Restaurant VAU in Schwenningen und war wirklich sehr positiv überrascht. Das Ambiente ist modern, gemütlich und lädt zum Verweilen ein. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Das Essen war hervorragend – frisch zubereitet, geschmacklich sehr gut und schön angerichtet. Auch die Auswahl ist abwechslungsreich, sodass für jeden etwas dabei ist. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den freundlichen und aufmerksamen Service. Das Personal war sehr herzlich und hat sich wirklich gut um die Gäste gekümmert. Insgesamt ein tolles Café/Restaurant mit angenehmer Atmosphäre, leckerem Essen und super Service. Ich komme auf jeden Fall gerne wieder und kann es absolut weiterempfehlen!

Wir haben an 2 Abenden hintereinander dort gegessen und waren sehr zufrieden. Die Karte ist übersichtlich und ausreichend,Extras werden ohne Probleme umgesetzt. Kurze Wartezeiten und regionale Produkte. Das Hirsch Weizenbier kann ich sehr empfehlen. 😁 Die Gerichte waren reichlich an Menge ,von frischer und hoher Qualität. Das Restaurant liegt in einer Fußgängerzone und ist gut zu Fuß zu erreichen. Sehr zu empfehlen. LG Bia aus NRW

Zunächst einmal das Wichtigste: das Essen war lecker, auch wenn man sich seinen Kaffee selber zusammen mischen muss (es gibt weder einen servierten Cappuccino, noch Milchkaffee aber aufgeschäumte Milch und Kaffee zum selber mischen), allerdings werde ich trotzdem nicht mehr hierher kommen. Ich verstehe, dass eine Planung für einen Brunch schwierig ist, besonders wenn Leute nicht erscheinen. Trotzdem kann es immer mal vorkommen, dass kurzfristig eine Krankheit dazwischen kommt. Die kann man leider auch nicht 24h vorher anmelden, wie es gewünscht wird. Dafür dann aus dem Grund "man müsse das Essen wegwerfen" den halben Preis zu veranschlagen finde ich frech. Wenn die Reservierung gar nicht wahrgenommen wird, okay. Aber doch nicht wenn von 10 Personen eine krank wird? Zumal ich mich frage, woher man weiss wie viel die Person gegessen hätte. Fazit: Wenn es ein nächstes Mal gibt nehme ich für Krankheitsfälle Tupperdosen mit, um dann für den halben Preis das dann "weggeworfene" Essen mitnehmen zu können.

Tolles super leckeres essen und große Portionen

Waren leider sehr enttäuscht 😞 Über 1.Stunde Wartezeit allein Getränke 20min. Vor paar Jahren war die Qualität einfach besser. Nudeln mit Tomatensoße trotz Soße sehr trocken. Überbackene Nudeln mit Soße auch trocken. Steak New York (Medium) sehr trocken. Pommes nur mit Kräuterbutter, kein Ketchup, keine Mayo, kein Salz oder Pfeffer. Pfeffer Steak (Medium) ok, jedoch die Soße sehr wässrig, dazu Spätzle kaum Geschmack. Kürbissuppe extrem Wässrig, Geschmack da wie Wasser nicht gut. Wirklich schade, dass es so nachgelassen hat.

Freundlichkeit von Anfang an! Entspannte Atmosphäre mit vielseitiger Karte. Sehr lecker. Preis/Leistung passt - immer wieder bin ich gerne Gast im VAU. Jederzeit sehr zu empfehlen.

Restaurant VAU is a Schwenningen institution, always a pleasure. The food and service are consistently excellent. The dining room is lovely, though it can get a bit crowded in the evenings. Parking is available on the street.

We were a group of 16 colleagues who visited on a recommendation. The food was delicious and the service was quick and friendly despite the restaurant being full. Highly recommended!

The reservation process is unfortunately extremely cumbersome. There's neither a reservation tool nor a clear landing page for easy booking. A phone call alone isn't enough. A family member was told over the phone that they also had to send an email with their personal information – the address for which they were supposed to find in the legal notice. For older people or those unfamiliar with such processes, this presents a significant obstacle and is rather off-putting. I've never experienced anything like this at any other restaurant. Overall, the reservation process is very poorly designed and far too complicated.

There were far too many people at brunch, and it was terribly loud. The queue for the food was incredibly long, and the aisle was too narrow... it had nothing to do with a relaxing meal. Never again.

The food was delicious. I had steak with salad. The steak was perfect and the portion was generous. The prices were reasonable. However, it was very loud.

I ordered soup at Gasthaus Vau and received it lukewarm. That can happen sometimes. But when I complain about it and then have to wait another 15 minutes and it's still not hot enough, that speaks volumes. In previous years, the quality was much better.

Relaxed atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service, food freshly prepared and exceptionally tasty. The menu is very well-organized and has something for everyone. The price is a bit high, but absolutely justified. We'd be happy to return!

Three of us went there and were very satisfied. The staff was extremely friendly, the ambiance was appealing and pleasant, and the food was truly excellent! And the prices are perfectly reasonable for the high quality. If we lived nearby, we would definitely come here more often!

We received a very warm welcome and a brief introduction to where to find food and drinks. The brunch buffet was very varied and delicious.

Unfortunately, several attempts to get thoroughly cooked potatoes to accompany the excellent original Wiener Schnitzel have failed. The sauce ordered with it also demonstrates that the owner isn't fully proficient in using a microwave.

The extensive buffet leaves nothing to be desired. The staff is very friendly and attentive. Definitely a clear recommendation.

Danger! Don't buy vouchers! I understand that old vouchers lose value. We have 2 expired vouchers and do not receive any credit. Not a euro. No matter how long it was - 0 euros is not justified. Allowed but not justified. This does not happen at the Öschberghof in Aasen (depreciation yes, total loss no).

This café represents a successful symbiosis between rustic furnishings and top-class dishes. I was pleasantly surprised by the taste of the homemade tomato soup with cream foam and my enthusiasm increased with the very fresh and crunchy salad with house dressing that followed. The crowning glory was the Swabian onion roast with homemade spaetzle. The cooking level "English" was optimally achieved and the freshly roasted onions harmonized perfectly with the delicious sauce. A tip from the lady at my hotel that really paid off because this café is an ideal place for every audience and every occasion. I would love to come back and let the friendly, motivated and quick staff spoil me again with culinary delights in a rustic atmosphere.

You can't get in without a reservation. Although there are free places. Staff very unfriendly. Too bad! As a tourist you hope for a little more friendliness.

One lunchtime during the week I was there alone with my four-legged friend. The service is great and my dog ​​got something to drink. The "small meal" (irony: simply gigantic!) - I had schnitzel with fries and salad were very, very tasty. In fact, I had to have some packed up because I hadn't managed to eat it all. We've been coming to VAU for a nice Christmas brunch for years. The warm welcome starts at the door, which is highly commendable. The food is always good, but the two aisles in which the buffet takes place are a bit narrow and have a very flat step at the end that is difficult to see. Als erstes, ich bin selbst Gastronom. Wir waren am Sonntag zum Brunch und muss sagen wir wurden enttäuscht. Würden sie die Anzahl der Gäste reduzieren hätte die Küche mehr Spielraum hinterher zu kommen. Das Angebot ist reichlich wen es vorhanden wäre. Ständig war einiges nicht vorhanden und die Küche kam nicht hinterher neu aufzulegen. Service die vielleicht mal am Tisch vorbei schauen Mangelware. Schade den wir hatten uns gefreut und würden sehr enttäuscht.

Ambiance and cleanliness: 10/10 The place is beautifully decorated, with an impressive wall decorated with bottles, glasses and cups, creating a stylish atmosphere. The sanitary facilities are also very clean and well maintained. Conclusion: The Café Restaurant VAU offers delicious food, a huge selection of drinks and a stylish atmosphere. Despite the long wait for the main course, the restaurant is definitely worth a visit - especially for connoisseurs who value quality and ambience.

Very good schnitzel in taste and quantity. It came with a salad. Polite staff and beautifully decorated shop. Together with the beer we paid €25 per person which is a very normal price. It is definitely a worthwhile cafe-restaurant.

We were here for a business lunch. The onion roast was very tasty, beautifully prepared and well portioned in quantity. The staff is very attentive and customer focused. The guest room is invitingly furnished. Unfortunately the background noise was a bit loud, but that was due to the high number of visitors. All in all, I would like to come here again.

We went here on Thursday morning for breakfast. The ambience was very nice and the service was also friendly. The prices were okay, about €15 for breakfast is okay for the ambience, maybe a little more expensive. The food was delicious, the only point was that the rolls were baked and unfortunately my roll was still frozen on the inside. The muesli was very tasty.

We went to Vau for brunch with a large group. To be honest, the disappointment was huge. For the price of almost €35 I expect something special, unfortunately there was only 8x4 food, what was there was immediately empty again. Too many guests for too little food. If you asked if there was anything else coming, you got an unfriendly answer from the boss. In general, the boss's unfriendly and rude manner is unfortunately always noticeable in many different contacts in our group. Thanks, they'll never see us again!!!

I was there for the very first time last Thursday evening with my work colleagues. We had a very nice girls' evening together. As a starter we had the antipasti plate and the goat cheese. I'm not a big fan of goat cheese, but this was incredibly tasty. Each of us got our money's worth with the starters. For the main course I had a salmon bowl, which was incredibly delicious. We sat outside on the covered patio. It was a really nice evening. The service was very good, the atmosphere was good and the food was also very, very tasty. Therefore a clear recommendation, very happy again. I think as a family we will enjoy Sunday brunch next. My work colleagues highly recommended this to me.

Now that the old owner is gone, VAU is no longer what it used to be. They urgently need to build on the standard of old times, otherwise I see nothing.

Was there for the first time and was very impressed. Service very attentive and accommodating. Stylish furnishings and a very good onion roast. Spaetzle also perfect. To be honest, I have to admit that I couldn't say whether they make them themselves or whether it's convenience. But I don't think it's that important if it tastes delicious. It probably wasn't the best onion roast in the world, the quality of the meat could be even better, but the value for money definitely deserves 5 stars.

The restaurant is large, flooded with light, somewhat noisy with high ceilings and a long bar. Service, quality of food and drinks as well as the feel-good factor are never neglected at any moment. A loving selection of constantly changing daily dishes and a lavish evening menu convey professional management of this location. In terms of taste (this is of course always subjective) very good and in terms of price absolutely reasonable, we taste the dishes and drinks listed below: - Bottle of water -Ginger Ale - Bitter lemon - Potato cream soup - Bruschetta - Cheese gratinated on a bed of lettuce - Great burgers 48€ We would love to come back and will recommend the restaurant to others.

Einfach gutes Essen, sehr schönes stylisches Ambiente und freundliche Leute

Das Restaurant, das Sie für das Besteck zahlen lässt! Tatsächlich habe ich einen Stern vergeben, weil es nicht möglich ist, weniger zu geben, sonst hätte ich überhaupt keine Sterne gegeben. Hier ist die Geschichte: Wir haben am Morgen des 19. Dezember angerufen, um eine Reservierung um 22 Uhr für den Geburtstagsabend unseres Freundes zu machen. Die Dame sagte uns, dass es nicht möglich sei, weil es spät ist und wir einfach kommen können. Wir sind gegangen und haben unseren eigenen Kuchen mitgebracht, weil zu dieser Zeit ihre Küche geschlossen ist. Wir baten um Besteck, und überraschenderweise baten sie uns, 1,50 € für jedes Besteck zu bezahlen. Wie ist es möglich, dass ein Restaurant dem Kunden für Besteck Gebühren berechnet? Noch dazu haben sie währenddessen um uns herum geputzt. Als wir bezahlten, baten wir um die Rechnung, und sie sagten uns, dass es jetzt nicht möglich sei, weil die Kasse geschlossen ist!!! Wer schließt die Kasse, bevor der Kunde bezahlt? Eine andere Kellnerin sah uns während der Verhandlungen in einer sehr gemeinen und unfreundlichen Weise an!!!! Inakzeptable und schlechte Behandlung. Am Ende hat die Kellnerin übrigens falsche Berechnungen gemacht, und sie ließ uns weniger bezahlen als in der Rechnung aufgeführt war. Die verantwortliche Person, mit der wir gesprochen haben, klärte dieses Problem, als würde sie uns einen Gefallen tun, nicht als würden wir für das bezahlen, was wir erhalten. ES GEHT NICHT UM GELD, SONDERN UM RESPEKT.

Ich muss wirklich sagen das dieser Laden einfach mehr als 5 Sterne verdient hat. Das Essen schmeckt jedes Mal nicht nur gut sondern einfach Hervorragend! Personal ist Super Nett. Also wirklich sehr zu Empfehlen!!! Immer wieder gerne :-)
