We always feel very comfortable in this restaurant. The kitchen does a fantastic job – praise! And the service is simply top-notch, too. From ice cream with eggnog to a good vodka, all our wishes are fulfilled. We will be back soon.

A very nice place to stop after a walk or bike ride. Delicious cakes and very friendly staff. The atmosphere outside on the large terrace is lovely, and it's also very cozy inside. Prices are high.

We were invited to the wedding. It was a successful celebration. The food was amazing, the location was fantastic, and so was the service!

Brilliant. The ambiance is surrounded by greenery and by the Spree. Ideal for a meal for two or more. A unique, idyllic setting for a wedding or corporate event. Connections to a boat trip on the Spree. The waiters are attentive and interested in the customer's wishes. The food is excellent. For a starter, I recommend the mustard pickle soup! Highly recommended.

A truly lovely restaurant with delicious regional dishes. The price/performance ratio was quite reasonable. The staff was friendly and always up for a laugh. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very pleasant. We'd be happy to come back.

This is a very elegant establishment. The service was friendly. It would have deserved more stars if the restaurant hadn't downplayed the criticism. The lumberjack steak was dry and tough. Inedible. The fried potatoes were mushy and not cooked very well. The fish was also very dry. Other dishes were okay. But not outstanding for the price and certainly not worth the money. It's a shame that the friendly reminder couldn't be dealt with appropriately. Appetizers and cakes are probably the recommendation here.

With the charming and professional support of Ms. Hajek and her team, we had booked the enchanting beer garden for a larger celebration – which unfortunately fell through completely. But Spreewehrmühle had a solution for this too, completely reorganizing the arrangements within 48 hours and moving the party to the dining room and the adjoining veranda. The wonderful ambiance, a delicious and extensive barbecue buffet, and exemplary service saved the day for us – thank you very much!

It was a wonderful day at the Spreewehrmühle. The staff were so friendly and very helpful. Huge praise and thanks! We were there with my sick aunt, who uses a walker to get around, and they helped us so much that she had a wonderful day there. We'd love to come back. Keep up the good work!

Highly recommended...a spontaneous dinner visit. We got a table right away even though the restaurant was very busy. A friendly waiter who clearly loves his job was very pleasant and humorous. Cozy atmosphere, although the wait for the food was a few minutes longer, BUT the taste made up for every minute. An absolute feast for the palate. Excellent value for money...I think we'll gladly come back here again on vacation. Thank you!!!

Found it by chance today, but it's definitely a top-notch restaurant. The staff are friendly, quick, and in a good mood; you can tell they enjoy their work. Service was friendly and attentive, but not thoughtful enough for me. Our group had mixed reactions to the food. For example, the burger of the month was nice to look at but rather small, meaning both of us weren't full for a good €20 with fries, which we expected a bit more. The schnitzel with fried potatoes was okay, but the Wiener schnitzel wasn't crispy and not well seasoned, which disappointed the customer. The beef fillet, which wasn't on the menu, was good, cooked to perfection, medium, and well seasoned with vegetables and rosemary potatoes. We were also disappointed with the small portion of vegetables and potatoes, and the price really shocked us... we personally think just under €45 is far too high. The restaurant's location is very good.

😃 Visiting the “Spreewehr” for many years. As a former Cottbus resident, it's good to see that the "old" places of childhood and youth are still alive. We were able to enjoy the wonderful spring weather on the terrace with delicious coffee, ice cream sundaes and lentils. Very relaxed, friendly, diligent service. (even though we were reminded several times after being asked to pay and still had to wait 15 minutes). I'm excited to see what's going on here in the summer and the beer garden is open. 🌞 We'll definitely stop by again in July. Would love to come back. Kind regards, GOODBYE.😀

If you love nature and want very well-kept food, this place is perfect.

Absolute recommendation. Despite Easter Saturday, all of the service staff were friendly, approachable and humorous. A nice ambience, a very good selection of dishes and drinks with the right price-performance ratio rounded off the first great impression. The restaurant is beautifully located and invites you to take a walk along the Spree.

Very tasty food. But unfortunately there was a waiter who was impossible. I don't know if he was trying to make up for his incompetence with mock humor - but it was just rude throughout and very inappropriate at times.

Never ever, We have booked a celebration with 35 people. We wanted the dishes a la carte because the flat rate of €42 seemed too high for us. However, this was not possible because the effort required for the staff was too high (one more service person could have been employed). We then agreed to a flat rate for the food and created a menu together with Ms. Hajek. But we definitely didn't want a drinks flat rate of €50. That's why we had a drinks menu without prices drawn up with wine, sparkling wine, Aperol Sprizz, Lillet Wild Berry, fruit juices, water and beer. I.e. without any other aperitifs and spirits. We would never have arrived at the flat rate of €50, even though there were 10 drivers and a child among the 35 people. We had arranged this with the secretary over the phone. However, we were charged a drinks fee of €50. We didn't notice this until the next day and complained about it the next day. On the contract, however, the note "would you like to book" was right below the stated flat rate of € 50. We had assumed that the note "would you like to book" meant the reservation with the menu and the drink menu put together after use. After complaining twice, the managing director only replied to us: "We checked." Since I'm from Austria, the preparations were all done over the phone and therefore without proof. Ms. Hajek did not accommodate us in any way. I would also like to note that we booked the room with a balcony (because of the smokers) in January 2025. However, this could not be used because the ground was icy due to the weather. A little sand sprinkled on top would have been enough.

We were invited here for a birthday coffee. Everything was great, very comfortable and the service was really attentive and quick. Will definitely come back in the summer time.

Very good cuisine. I recommend ox cheeks with mashed potatoes and carrots. The XXL mill wheel schnitzel also tastes very good. However, I would have liked more of the delicious, crispy fried potatoes. The staff is very attentive. Dogs are allowed.

We had the schnitzels and they were very good. Staff also very nice and accommodating. Since we come from Portugal and don't know German wines that well, we couldn't decide which wine to use. We promptly came with two wines to try. Really recommended.

Food was tasty and sufficient, could have been a bit hotter. Drinks were decently chilled and fully complimentary. The location is very nice and there is also parking. One star deducted because it's not okay if you want fries instead of fried potatoes and have to pay €1.50 extra. As an explanation, the answer came: “additional effort”. Doesn't quite make sense to me. Otherwise it is worth a visit.

We always like to come here to spend a few nice hours. Food always tastes good. Individual wishes regarding the food will also be fulfilled if possible. The staff is nice and attentive. The surrounding area is also ideal for taking a walk, there is a lot to see. See for yourself and take a look.

This place is great for family groups. The service is extremely courteous. The only tiny problem: the women's toilet is one floor higher and I'm not that good at climbing stairs. Otherwise a great place.

Spreewaldmühle Cottbus – A pleasure! I had the best currywurst in a long time at the Spreewaldmühle! Everything is freshly prepared here, even the sauce is homemade. The currywurst comes from a local butcher, which you can clearly taste. The fried potatoes were crispy and simply delicious – a perfect accompaniment to the sausage. The friendly staff rounded off the visit and made us feel very welcome. I can only warmly recommend the Spreewaldmühle!

We went there for coffee in the afternoon. Cappuccino was served fairly quickly and tasted good. You had to wait forever for tiramisu. It turned out that the considerable waiting time was due to the fact that the good piece was still frozen. Recommendation: If you have a fetish for enjoying overpriced frozen goods, you shouldn't go past the Spreewehrmühle.

I was there alone (business trip). I drank coffee and worked first and had dinner later. I found the staff very pleasant, with the right level of attentiveness and humor. The food was very diverse and delicious. I thought it was particularly great that I got all the dishes in “smaller” sizes. So the dessert fit in without getting a stomach ache. That made the meal complete. Thank you for this evening.

The service is unique, we were greeted and served by an employee, that was absolutely amazing... it was so much fun, you can't imagine it. The food, incredibly tasty and the way it was prepared was already upscale. A daily recommendation was also made, which of course I didn't see on the menu without glasses ;-) I then ordered that too, veal liver Berlin style... it was perfect!!!!! But my wife's food, which I had to finish tasting (thank God), was also extremely tasty 😋 and perfectly prepared. Unfortunately, we were only there once as we were only in the Spreewald for 4 days, but if we are in the area again, it is definitely a must to stop by.
