Café & Restaurant Spreeblick in Berlin

Nearly 1 hour and a half after walking into this place, we got our food. It wasn't even halfway full. Took no less than 30 mins to order and another 45 for the food to arrive. I literally don't understand what was going on. Food was OK. Nothing remarkable. Had to request the bill to different people yo see if anyone would bring it. The waitress signalled at the tip on the atm machine conveniently when paying. I regret typing her. Sincerely, there's more places in the area. I wouldn't go back.

Excellent restaurant to discover German specialties. Very generous dishes, notably the enormous pork shank for only €17, very friendly service.

Great German cuisine and even better service! We were there on a Saturday evening – the restaurant was full, but despite this everything worked smoothly and without any problems. The waiters were polite, smiling and very fast – they really make an impression with such a busy time. The food was delicious, the portions were solid, the atmosphere was authentic. We will definitely come back – one of those places where the guest feels really taken care of. 5/5!

Mi hermano gemelo y yo estábamos en un pub y bar dando vueltas por el maravilloso distrito Nikolaiviertal de Berlín cuando decidimos pasar por Spreeblick, hemos estado aquí antes en vacaciones anteriores a esta fascinante ciudad, siempre lo pasamos bien y así lo demostró en nuestra última visita a aquí. Un pub de gran aspecto, el interior es magnífico, luminoso y ventilado, gran decoración y mobiliario y un montón de opciones de asientos repartidos por todo este pub tanto en el interior como cuando hace buen tiempo fuera mirando a las calles que componen esta zona de Nikolaiviertal. Pedimos cervezas a Berliner Kindl Schultheiss Brauerei ( Berliner Kindl ) y estas se servían en excelentes condiciones siendo heladas frías y espumosas, nos relajamos y empapamos de la gran vibra en este concurrido y popular pub mientras tomábamos nuestras cervezas. Un gran fan de esta más famosa de las cervezas de Berlín, es una cerveza estilo lager dorada, ligera y de lúpulo rebosante de sabor y muy fácil de beber especialmente cuando se sirve frío helado como en este pub , era tan bueno estar en un pub tan encantador disfrutando de una deliciosa cerveza y se sentó con mi hermano gemelo, mejor compañero de cerveza del mundo. Realmente disfrutamos de nuestras cervezas aquí antes de seguir adelante y aunque nuestra visita fue solo fugaz como en cualquier otra visita a aquí nos lo pasamos muy bien. Spreeblick es fácil de localizar a lo largo de Propststraße, una calle y zona de arquitectura extraordinariamente hermosa. El horario de apertura es; Lunes y martes, mediodía hasta medianoche. Miércoles, cerrado. De jueves a domingo, de mediodía a medianoche. Vale la pena comprobar si estás en la zona.

Incredibly delicious and high-quality food, at absolutely fair prices. Very, very friendly and competent staff. The boss keeps an eye on everything and alerts his team if, for once, something doesn't work 100%.

Not a bad cafe, we went in a couple of times, got an Apperol spritz cocktail and coffee. Prices are slightly lower than in a cafe in the center of Berlin.

Good place located on the banks of the River where you can enjoy traditional German food. The attention was very good. They immediately found a place for the group and the waiter was very nice to us even though we didn't speak the language. As for the food, it was quite good, although I may have missed the beef snitzel (we only saw the pork and chicken snitzel on the menu). However, the flavor was very good. As for desserts, it is worth highlighting the apfelstrudel, which could not be missed. The overall experience was very good, I would return if the opportunity arose. Highly recommended!

Excellent service even though I'm alone. I would like to praise the service I received at this restaurant. I went to the restaurant across the street, the Brauhaus Georgebräu, and was treated very badly there. They didn't want to serve me and threw me out on the grounds that there was no room for a single person. Ich möchte das Service, das ich in diesem Restaurant erhalten habe, loben. Ich war im Restaurant auf der anderen Straßenseite, dem Brauhaus Georgebräu, und wurde dort sehr schlecht behandelt. Man wollte mich nicht bedienen und hat mich herausgeschmissen mit der Begründung, dass es keinen Platz für eine alleinstehende Person gäbe. Ich war sehr frustriert und bin dann nebenan gegangen; glücklicherweise wurde ich dort von allen sehr freundlich empfangen und bereue es nicht. Das Essen dort ist spektakulär und der Service ebenfalls! Hier kann man auch allein kommen und eine ausgezeichnete Mahlzeit ohne Probleme genießen. Vielen Dank! Grüße aus Brasilien!

An almost excluded spot away from the main area with a great location on the Spree and the Saint George and the dragon statue. Nice restaurant with good local food for a quick meal and even better drinks! Our first experience of a German classic curry wurst and we were pleasantly surprised. This place really stood out for the service which was attentive and super friendly. You couldn’t have asked for nicer staff.

We had first stopped here for a beer on a hot afternoon, and were impressed by the friendliness of Gina, our waitress. We returned another day for lunch, and it was a very enjoyable occasion. I had an omelette, billed as a small plate, but it was big, and husband had a very substantial Schnitzel. Of course, beers and ice cream rounded things off! As the name implies, this restaurant has a setting on the Spree river bank, but on one side also faces a very pretty square with gardens and a magnificent statue of St George killing a ferocious dragon. Worth visiting for the setting alone.

We came on a recommendation to try the national dish - liver with apples. Very tasty)) The liver is the most tender. The goulash soup was also unusual)) If anything the restaurant is open until 22, but the kitchen closes at 21:00

The food and drinks may be average, but the service is outstanding: our waiter outside this Sunday evening was incredibly friendly and polite, something I've never experienced before and made our visit a very pleasant experience. Helpful, polite and fast attention. Tasty typical German food. We are two families with two children and since they have variety, there has been no problem in each one choosing their dish to taste. The waitress has adapted to us in an exceptional way, making herself understood and she even rewarded us with double her typical apple pie, we hope to see her in Bilbao 😜 We paid 8 people, €222 tip separately, a reasonable price in relation to what offered.

Had coffee at the table outside. It was a bit chilly & the sun disappeared, but there were blankets to wrap up in! We had to go in to pay because none of the waiters showed up, especially since I told a waiter outside. Otherwise they were very friendly!

Very unfriendly and stressed service staff who don't really listen when ordering. Menu was thrown onto the table as we passed by without making eye contact. When the coffee was missing milk, when I asked, two portions were thrown from behind my back onto the other person's saucer. One thing has to be said: good marksmanship! It is only partially suitable as a café. The atmosphere is missing and when you come in you are immediately enveloped by a commercial kitchen smell that is unpleasant. This place is definitely not worth recommending if you want to have a nice coffee.

Meine Fam. hatte für mich anlässlich meines 70zigen Geburtstag eine Überraschungsparty bei Ihnen organisiert. Das Essen (Kuchen, warmes Essen) waren ausgezeichnet. Die Gäste waren alle zufrieden. Die Kellner (Gina und Viktor) waren sehr aufmerksam und flink; sie hatten viel zu tun. Trotz alledem waren sie sehr freundlich und hatten immer ein Lächeln auf den Lippen. Mein Dank geht auch an die Köche und den Herrn am Tresen. Es war eine tolle Party. Ich werde ihr Lokal weiterempfehlen.

How delightful! I came here, ordered an apfel strudel and a hot chocolate with cream. It was soo good. Lovely flavours, the vanilla sauce, the apples and the ice cream. It was a perfect mid day break. The strudel was not too sweet and had incredibly balanced flavours. Great experience and a good, fun waiter. Relativ kurzfristig war hier für den ersten Weihnachtstag noch eine Tischreservierung möglich. Das Restaurant gehört zusammen mit der benachbarten Zillestube eigentlich zu den Touristenhotspots im Nikolaiviertel. Hier ist bekanntlich vieles auf alt gemacht, was eigentlich gar nicht so alt ist. So auch die Innenausstattung des Spreeblicks, man bekommt innen das Gefühl, in einem antiken Café zu sitzen, ganz gemütlich. Weihnachten arbeitet man natürlich am Limit, jeder Platz ist besetzt. Dafür bemüht sich das Servicepersonal dennoch um Freundlichkeit zwischen all den eng sitzenden Gästen. Auch die Wartezeit aufs Essen ist absolut angemessen. Die Küche arbeitet vermutlich auf Höchstleistung. Dafür ist die Qualität des Essens sehr solide, egal ob Wildgulasch, Zanderfilet oder Gänsekeule. In dem Ansturm braucht man keine aufregenden Dekorationen und zudem wird ja auch mit Berliner Hausmannskost geworben. Und die ist ja nun wahrlich sehr unaufgeregt.

With so many other restaurants close by it was surprising to encounter underhand tactics being used by staff. Firstly the food was very good, I must be honest. However my wife and I both speak German so don't expect to be taken advantage of. The menu offered a 200 ml glass of prosecco. It was served without the bottle and looked suspiciously small. It was 100ml. We queried it and were told we were correct and another glass would be brought. The final bill, which we waited 20 minutes for showed that we had received 2 x 100ml glasses and because that's what their internal systems showed we were charged an extra 70c for each. The money isn't the point, it's the attitude that made us unhappy. My advice, go round the corner to Mutter for great food and first class customer service. Not a single smile from the staff during our visit and the toilets were very smelly here too. When we paid the waiter he did not give us any change until we asked for it. If you enjoy this kind of service then go ahead and enjoy. Never again for us.

Das Essen war gut und der Service schnell und freundlich. Allerdings ist dieses sogenannte Altberliner Restaurant doch sehr touristisch geprägt. Aus der angrenzenden Zille-Stube (gleicher Betreiber) kam ziemlich klamaukiger Lärm von einem Alleinunterhalter welcher in der Marnier von Gottlieb Wendehals ein leichtes Ballermann Feeling verbreitete.

Auswahl Kuchen/Torten überschaubar - gewählte Stücke waren schmackhaft aber nicht außergewöhnlich. Einrichtung OK, aber nichts Besonderes. Gute Speisekarte, am Nebentisch serviertes Essen sah gut aus. Bedienung geschäftsmäßig freundlich. Unangenehm, dass die beiden sich jedesmal negativ über Gäste die gerade gegangen waren äußerten. Preis Leistung OK.

Schönes Restaurant, schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Essen schmeckt sehr lecker, preislich jedoch etwas oben angesiedelt, was ich nicht verstehe. Preis- Leistungsverhältnis ist nicht in Ordnung. Die Portionen sind doch sehr klein. Ansonsten nettes Personal.

Der Kuchen war sehr gut und die Bedienung freundlich

Das Restaurant hat eine verglaste Terrasse, von der man auch bei schlechtem Wetter einen schönen Blick auf den Spreearm hat, der vor der Landesbiliothek vorbei fließt. Man kann dort gut und für Berliner Verhältnisse günstig essen. Die Portionen sind reichlich. Das Bier kostet umgerechnet auf 0,1 l einen Euro. Das ist inzwischen ja günstig. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich.

Sehr gut besucht. Essen ist sehr lecker und der Service sehr freundlich und gibt Empfehlungen. Zille Boulette und Kohlroulade.

Ich gehe hier ab und zu mit meiner Mutter zum Essen in der Mittagspause. Es ist natürlich vom Tourismus im Nikolaiviertel geprägt. Aber das Essen und der Service sind auch für Berliner sehr gut geeignet.

Lediglich die jüngeren Kellner haben unter einander einen sehr speziellen KomunikatioTon Nurmehr das zweite mal hier gegessen und was soll ich sagen, positive Veränderung. Ich Konnte meine alte 1Stern Rezension löschen.

I had the worst restaurant experience of my life here. The waiter was not right in the head, and spilt a pint of beer on me as his hands had slipped apparently. I did not cause a scene, however I am very unhappy with the way they just disregarded it. They didn't apologise properly. When my friend questioned it they simply said 'it's ok, it happens'. For a reataurant rated 4.3 stars of google reviews, it has been a very disappointing experience overall. To make things worse, the same waiter almost dropped a knife on my leg as he cleaned up our table after. I would tell anyway to spend their money in a better restaurant. Go to a restaurant where they have competent waiters for god's sake.

Supernetter und schneller Service (!), schöner Platz direkt an der Spree und gute Hausmannskost. Hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten gebackenen Camembert, Folienkartoffel und Roulade, hat uns alles sehr gut geschmeckt. Dir Roulade hätte ein wenig mehr Sauce vertragen können, das wäre mein Tipp.

Sehr leckeres Berliner Essen. Das Personal ist bei schönem Wetter etwas überfordert, aber nett. Direkt auf der anderen Seite ist das Zilli's, die beiden Restaurants gehören zusammen und haben die gleiche Küche und Karte. Beide sind sehr schön eingerichtet und es lohnt sich dort zu essen.
