A very nice restaurant in the heart of the Pontviertel. We meet here every week to play chess. It's very family-like. The dark wheat is nice and cold and the various lamb dishes are very tasty. It's nice that the Papillon exists😀.

I recently visited this restaurant and had an extremely disappointing experience. The waitress was very rude and unfriendly from the start. She informed us that we had to order more than 10 euros worth of food, otherwise we wouldn't be allowed to stay. This forced minimum order policy was not mentioned anywhere beforehand and felt very unwelcoming. The waitress's attitude and the unreasonable demand left a very bad impression on us. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Save yourself the trouble and find a place with better service and a more welcoming atmosphere.

Terrible location and worst staff I've seen in my entire life. Especially the woman. She is extremely disrespectful and forces people to order food. She sometimes brings the wrong orders and even makes racist comments. I can't recommend it at all. And the response to the review is anything but professional. She claims it was a birthday, no we didn't even have a reservation, we were there spontaneously and wanted to play a game so that's the first lie, unfortunately she doesn't know how to deal with customers and instead of a simple apology she tries to lie with more to cover up. 2. We hadn't been there for 30 minutes before she came and wanted to take the order. We said that some of them would still come. When they came, we placed our order and she suddenly said that we HAVE to order something to eat too. Then someone even ordered a portion of fries and she brought two extra. We had all ordered something to drink, I don't know where the two teas came from so that's the next lie and the time is also completely wrong. We weren't even there for an hour. After we had all ordered something to drink, after 10 minutes she came back really rudely and asked us in a derogatory way if we wanted to order something again and that we absolutely had to order something. I've never had an experience like this in a restaurant and never had to order something every 10 minutes. Funnily enough, we never had a problem like this in a restaurant.

I have rarely had such a disappointing experience in a restaurant. We were a group of people who were there to play and we expressed that; no birthday party. Instead of receiving a friendly welcome, we were rudely told to order something immediately. When we just wanted something to drink, she falsely claimed that we also had to order something to eat. The waitress was not only rude but completely disrespectful. We felt really harassed and unwelcome. The absolute low point, however, was when the waitress asked about our country of origin. After she found out we were Iranian, she started insulting us racially. Such behavior is completely unacceptable and shocking. A day later I called there. I spoke to the manager, the boss's sister. She apologized several times for the waitress' behavior. She tried to excuse the situation by saying that the waitress might have been tired. But this in no way justifies rudeness and racist insults. Anyone who works as a waitress must have the necessary nerve and professionalism. The manager assured us that such behavior was unacceptable and apologized three times. I made it clear to her that we will definitely share our experience as a review on Google and asked her not to distort the truth. No one should have to go through an experience like this and we definitely won't recommend this restaurant. If you want to have a pleasant evening without lies and rude staff, definitely avoid this place.

We had such a bad experience there, there were about 20 of us there and the waitress there was so rude and racist, when she found out our nationality she harassed us every 5 minutes to force us to order something, we wanted there stay for a few hours, and I'm sure everyone wanted to order something, but that kind of behavior is not acceptable. she judged us just because of our nationality and was so rude to us.

TOP SERVICE!!! I had the pleasure of visiting Papillon and absolutely loved it! The food was exceptionally tasty and the selection was varied. I was particularly impressed by the cozy atmosphere, which is perfect for a relaxing evening. In addition, the Papillon offers a variety of activities. We had a lot of fun playing table football and the community games provided great entertainment. The spacious terrace invites you to enjoy the fresh air, and the huge private events room is ideal for larger celebrations. All in all a great place to eat well, have a good time and have a good time with friends. I can highly recommend Papillon!

Homemade schnitzel was the best schnitzel I have ever eaten in Aachenda. It has a comfortable terrace where you can feel at home, and the food is really delicious, and you can also play chess, backgammon and foosball here.

The owners and wait staff are in no way racist or rude towards guests. You really have to misbehave for something to happen. The drinks are very inexpensive. The food too. I like it. We will never ever go there again. We were like 15 persons, who wanted to spend some time in a private place to play a card game, eat and drink. We talked to the waitress about it and reserved a private room. She came every 5 minutes and forced everyone to order something with an extreme rude tone. Although everyone ordered something, she kept coming and interrupting us, always with absolute disgusting behavior, which i have never seen in my life. As we complained about her manners, she finally showed her true self and started to insult us with some racist phrases. Absolute NoGo. So we left the place immediately (of course after paying for everything we ate and even for the things we didn't have time to eat). We will make her responsible for what she said and how she behaved through law, but meanwhile i wanted to publish it here too, so nobody has to suffer the same thing again.

Great location! A bit inconspicuous from the outside as it is located above the Apollo. Inside there are several large rooms. You can definitely have a lot of fun there. It's worth a visit. I really enjoy being a guest there :)

Ich gehe abends oft mit meinen Freunden hierher, die Atmosphäre ist gut und der Besitzer ist sehr freundlich. Hier gibt es leckere Burger. Cocktails sind auch gut. Am besten kommen Sie nachmittags bei Sonnenschein hierher, man kann draußen in einer Hütte mit durchsichtigem Dachfenster Kaffee trinken und die Sonne genießen. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!

Super Laden. Hat schon Mittags direkt auf. Große überdachte Terrasse ( ca. 8-10 Tische ) und zwei grosse voneinander getrennte Räume, sodass auch unterschiedliche Musik laufen kann. Weiterer großer Raum auf dem Mittelgeschoss. Tatsächlich muss man sich bemerkbar machen, wenn man Getränke nachbestellen will, bei der Größe aber total nachvollziehbar. Wer sich da beschwert, muss zur Eckkneipe gehen mit einem Tresen und 4 Tischen. Die Angestellten sind durchaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schnelles Gästeinternet ( ja, man muss nach dem Passwort fragen, warum auch nicht ). Braucht man Strom für Laptop oder Phone, ist das kein Problem. Oft sieht man illustre Runden an unterschiedlichen Nationalitäten ohne Berührungsängste. Schach und Backgammon sind hier auch nicht unbekannt und die nötigen Bretter und Figuren frei zur Verwendung vorhanden.

Nette Atmosphäre da auf der Dachterasse. Kaffee ist lecker und die Leute da sehr freundlich. Geht man gerne hin. Auch das Essen ist sehr lecker.

Mein persönlicher Favorit hier ist der Klassische Hamburger...! Nicht zu verschmähen ist auch die außerordentlich leckere Lamm und oder Hähnchenpfanne...tres bien.
