Café-Restaurant Kapelle in Radolfzell am Bodensee

Great location with a view of Radolfzell on Lake Constance and Hegauberge, friendly staff and delicious food. We felt very comfortable on the terrace this afternoon, thank you.

Unfortunately, the situation doesn't make it clear. Too bad! I had dinner here last night. The first impression was great, the location is a dream. The furnishings don't suit my personal taste but are very modern. 4/5 stars for me. The prices listed on the menu gave hope for good things. With good food, good service and the location, these would be absolutely fine. Unfortunately, after ordering, the gradual decline began. The drinks were simply left at the table in front of someone. The wait staff seemed inattentive the whole evening. The starter didn't come until almost an hour later. The bruschetta we ordered (€6.50) was originally toasted but cooked more crispy. My guess is that these sat in the kitchen for a long time and got soggy. They tasted okay. Not a highlight but not a lowlight either. I was a little surprised by the white line in the bread, which reminded me of freezer burn. All in all it was below average and therefore deserves 2 stars. The main course (approx. €26.50) came almost half an hour after the starter. All in all this was fine. Unfortunately the meat was a bit dry but the sauce was good. For me it was again average in this price range and I would give it 2.5 stars. Overall, I rate the food at 2.25/5 stars, which is just below average for the price range. The service remained inattentive throughout the evening. For me that's just below average. The overall result for me was 2.75/5. I therefore round up to 3 stars. The ambience is quite something, otherwise the rating would be 2/5 For a better rating, either the prices have to come down so that expectations of the food fall (value for money) or better cuisine has to be offered. In addition, the service should be made more attentive. I have to say that I liked my main course much more compared to others. If I had chosen another one, the rating would probably be worse. But I want to remain fair and therefore only rate my own food.

I've been there several times. Unfortunately the food was average and rather disappointing. Price-performance ratio is not right

Very nice to sit outside and everything inside was great too. The staff is very friendly, the food is very good and the prices are reasonable. The chapel is an enrichment for Markelfingen. We like coming here.

We spent the evening of our civil wedding at the chapel and celebrated and ate with our guests in a separate room. We were very satisfied with the service staff and how the decoration requests we discussed were implemented. Communication during the planning with the head of the restaurant was uncomplicated and pleasant. We can highly recommend the restaurant for special occasions!

Das moderne Restaurant-Cafe liegt im Hotel Kappelle in Markelfingen. Wir haben als Hotelgäste zu Abend gegessen. Die Karte bietet von frischen Salaten über moderne Poke Bowls bis zum Zanderfilet eine interessante Auswahl. Leider konnten wir wegen Regen nicht die Terrasse mit Seeblick genießen. Schon wegen der tollen Lage und dem modernen Ambiente lohnt der Besuch. Nur erstaunlich, dass diese Bewertung die erste seit der Eröffnung in 2022 ist?

The restaurant is perfect if you use a wheelchair. Right next to the disabled parking space there is a wheelchair lift that takes you directly to the terrace. From the terrace you can go straight into the interior through the large sliding doors. There are only very small rails here that can easily be overcome with a wheelchair or you can take the main entrance, which is step-free from the terrace. The disabled toilet is located to the right of the main entrance, is very large and simply perfect. There are even handles on both sides of the toilet, which is great if you have hemiplegia. My mother is paralyzed on the left side and a handle is often attached to the left side. The food was very tasty and the service staff was very friendly and helpful. The location is really great. We will be back definitely :)

Nun ja, ich empfehle es ohne Einschränkungen. Nach der Übernahme durch die neuen Besitzer hat das Restaurant ein anderes Aussehen erhalten. Gutes Essen, super schöner Ort und exzellenter Service!

Team dinner with 28 people. Wonderful arrangement in advance. Table decorations were implemented. The food was tasty and no one stayed hungry. Intolerances were addressed. An attempt was made to coordinate the orders in time, which is a challenge with so many people. Thanks for that. Service very nice and accommodating. We'd love to come back.

A very upscale restaurant with excellent cuisine. There were 6 of us in the chapel and we were extremely satisfied. Great service and very clean. We'd love to come back

The whole atmosphere is great, the toys all around especially the staff

Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the value for money in this restaurant. The mixed salad was tasty, but far too small. The veal schnitzel, although tasty, was very thin. The potato salad did not appear to be homemade and was more reminiscent of an industrial version. The fried potatoes were literally swimming in oil. It's a shame because the quality didn't match the price. The service was okay. Hopefully this will improve in the future.

Fast and friendly service. Very good food at decent prices. The strudel for dessert is superb.

We had made reservations for 6 people on Saturday evening. Beautiful location and a dream view. Good food, good value for money. Unfortunately, not enough parasols on this exposed terrace. We thought it was a bit cheeky to be offered a reserved spot in the blazing sun when it was 30 degrees. Especially because there were so many umbrellas on the terrace that weren't in use. After we provided shade ourselves with umbrellas, the waiter wanted to take them away from us in the middle of the meal because the neighboring table had also complained about the sun.

Wir haben unser Urlaub am Bodensee verbracht. Das Restaurant Kapelle hat ein sehr gehobenes Qualität. Das Personal ist sehr Toll, Freundlich und zuvorkommend. Bei unser nächsten besuch steht die Kapelle als erstes am dem Tagesplan.

Perfect place to get away from the chaotic city,classy restourant with the most amazing sunset view from the terrace,the stuff are profesionals,and the service is top level. The food was very good and tasty,compliments to the chief in the kitchen. Higly recomended

Waren im April, zum Essen da. Echt empfehlenswert. Super Essen, Ausblick wunderschön, Personal super freundlich. Der neue Chef ist sehr um das Wohl der Gäste besorgt. Es ist fast ein Geheimtip, da viele den Pächterwechsel nicht mitbekommen haben. Waren im Mai zur Konfirmationsfeier bereits ein weiteres Mal da. ... einfach top. Sehr modernes Restaurant ! Wir waren zur Mittag. Tolle wechselhafte Mittagsangebote mit schöner Aussicht auf das Bodensee. Service war sehr nett. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Waren zum Geburtstagsfest hier mit 17 Personen und waren super zufrieden. Jeder hatte etwas anderes von der umfangreichen Auswahl. Schnell und kompetent bedient und alles prima. Kann auch vegetarisch kochen. Hat drei vegetarische Gerichte im Angebot.
