Nachmittagsgedeck genossen Milchkaffee und Apfelkuchen mit echter Sahne. Alles super lecker!

Wir wären beinahe am Café Fontane vorbei gelaufen, da der Außenbereich versteckt in einem Hof liegt. Wir haben gute Kaffees serviert bekommen und leckere Plinsen mit Kirschkompott verspeist. Das Kuchenangebot konnte sich auch sehen lassen, passte jedoch nicht mehr rein.😅 Das Personal war freundlich und zu Scherzen aufgelegt und das Ambiente bei praller Sonne im Hof insgesamt schön schattig und sehr gemütlich. Klare Empfehlung für eine Pause in Lübbenau 👍🏻

Ausgezeichnete Qualität und Bedienung. Hübsches Restaurant, Vorbestellung ist sinnvoll-wir hatten den letzten freien Tisch bekommen. Überaus freundliche Bedienung mit Humor. Sehr empfehlenswert. Die Zubereitung dauerte gut 30 Minuten-keine vorbereitete Massenabfertigung. Bestes Restaurant im Ort - soweit wir das beurteilen können.

Wir haben dieses Restaurant vor zwei Jahren besucht und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Auch bei unserem zweiten Besuch war es genauso gut. Das Personal war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend, der Service hervorragend und das Essen ausgezeichnet. Absolut empfehlenswert.

Ab 17 Uhr gibt es keine Hefeplinse mehr trotz Aufsteller vor dem Restaurant. Ich durfte mich auch so nicht setzen, da jeder 2. Tisch im Außenbereich ein "Reserviert" Schild hatte.

Wir haben unseren Besuch hier neulich zum Abendessen sehr genossen. Das Essen war von guter Qualität und wurde von sehr netten Leuten serviert. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Tolles kleines Restaurant in der Mitte von Lübbenau. Mitarbeiterinnen sind freundlich, hilfsbereit und aufmerksam. Lokal ist aufgeräumt und sauber. Gute Handwerkliche Arbeit in Küche und Service. Parkplätze sind in der Nähe. Eine Reservierung am Wochenende ist empfehlenswert.

Wer nicht um 17Uhr in der Innenstadt zum Abendessen möchte, sollte hierhin gehen. Prima Küche, freundliches flinkes Personal, hübscher Biergarten.

Wir kamen zu fünft,unbestellt. Nette unkomplizierte Bedienung. Tolle Torten und andere Speisen. Waren sehr zufrieden.

Update 6.4.26: Der herausragende Unterschied zu anderen guten Restaurants war auch heute der überaus aufmerksame Service. Das Essen war ohnehin sehr gut. Die Details machten wieder den Besuch zu einem angenehmen Abend. Das freundliche, aber nicht aufdringliche Gespräch mit der Mitarbeiterin, das echte Teelicht statt Akkulampe, die hübsche Deko. Besonders gefreut habe ich mich über eine echt heiße Espresso-Tasse. Es ist sehr selten, dass der einfache Espresso noch heiß ist, wenn er serviert wird. Wenn überhaupt, sind die Tassen lau vorgewärmt und man "muss" den Espresso auf ex trinken, bevor er ganz kalt ist. Hier und heute zum Glück nicht. Dankeschön! Ich war heute dort um habe die Französische Fischsuppe mit Pernod, frischem Fenchel, Lauch und Anis gegessen. Durch Chilli kam etwas Schärfe hinein. Hat sehr gut geschmeckt und Respekt vor dem Mut, diese Kombination hier so anzubieten. Danach dann nach Kalbssteak mit Meerrettich in Kräuterkruste. Beide Gerichte waren richtig gut. Jetzt nicht übertrieben super lecker sondern: lecker. Und damit ist man ja schon mehr als zufrieden. Der Gastraum ist urig eingerichtet, mit vielen altne Büchern usw. Der Kaffee war ebenfalls perfekt. Positiv aufgefallen ist mir der sehr freundliche Kellner, der auch, als es recht voll wurde, jeden Gast aufmerksam und freundlich bedient hat. Außerdem positiv für Biertrinker: 4 Sorten frisch vom Faß. 2 Pils (u.a. "Wilder Mann" aus Dresden) , ein tschechisches Schwarzbier und ein Weißbier. Sehr große Auswahl an Obstlern von Scheibel. Preise nicht günstig, aber durch die Lage im touristischen Zentrum wirklich angemessen. Es gibt natürlich auch immer etwas, was man besser machen kann, das sind aber Kleinigkeiten: die einfachen Holzstühle mit dünner Auflage laden nicht dazu ein, dort stundenlange Abende mit Freunden oder ein langes Rendezvous zu verbringen. Soll man vermutlich auch nicht, denn Plätze sind stark nachgefragt. Aber einfach zum Essen völlig ok! Die Toilette war bei 5 Grad Außentemperatur schön durchgelüftet und der kleine Lufttrockner eher so Deko (alles Jammern auf hohem Niveau, nicht falsch verstehen!). Bei der ansonsten tollen Auswahl an Hochprozentigen fehlt mir auf fast jeder Karte ein "einfacher", aber guter Single Malt. Das Whisky Angebot besteht aus Jack, Jim, Chivas & Dimple. So ein Standard Glenfiddich oder Glenmorangie sollte in Zeiten des anhaltenden Single-Malt-Trends eigentlich wenigstens im Angebot sein. Aber wie gesagt - soll niemanden vom Besuch abhalten: ich habe hier ausgesprochen gut in zentraler Lage und toller Atmosphäre mit netter Bedienung gegessen!

Ein einfaches und schön eingerichtetes Restaurant. Mitarbeiter und Service einfach nur sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend und auch für ein Spaß zu haben. Das Essen von Vorspeise bis zum Dessert einfach super lecker.

Very nice staff and great food.

Seven of us were at Café Fontaine and sat outside, where there's plenty of space. It would have been a bit tighter inside, but there are a few tables available there too. We had delicious pancakes with cherries and ice cream – absolutely delicious! Our daughter had a kids' meal with croquettes, schnitzel, and broccoli (seen in the pictures). The staff was very friendly and attentive. There's also a changing table inside. We even got some chocolate as a little farewell gift. Highly recommended! 😊

Excellent and large, meticulously prepared portions. Highly recommended. The meat is wonderfully prepared, as is the salmon dish and the side dishes were simply wonderful, the hanging potatoes and vegetables in curry sauce were wonderful. Go!!! You won't regret it. I would go back again and again, if it were close. Overall, the warmest recommendation I can give.

First-class service and delicious food. The penne with beef fillet and Gorgonzola sauce or with shrimp was fantastic. Plus, there were beers you don't find everywhere. A special point for the waiter, who did a fantastic job and even recommended one of the best fruit brandies I've ever had.

Nice outdoor area, perfect for balmy summer evenings—we were here on a Thursday in August, when it was still a tropical 30 degrees Celsius in the evening. But beware: mosquito alert deluxe! If you don't bring your own blood repellent, you'll quickly become an all-you-can-eat buffet... for the mosquitoes. The service was warm and attentive. The food? Solid, home-style cooking—no culinary highlights, but nothing to complain about either.

A real insider tip for lovers of regional cuisine! The jacket potatoes with quark are simple but perfectly prepared. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly service, which immediately makes you feel welcome. Even in the rain, thanks to the cozy, covered seating in the courtyard, it remains a wonderful place to enjoy and linger. Highly recommended!

The food was delicious and arrived quickly. The service was really great, and the staff was very child-friendly! We can recommend it without reservation.

The waitress was very friendly and nice. However, the prices are far too high for the portion sizes and the rural location. You pay more for one dish than you would in Berlin or Munich. The portions are also too stingy; for example, our baked potatoes only came with two! Spreewald pickles.

We decided to stop by for dinner on a whim. We received a very friendly welcome and service. They have everything a gourmet's heart could desire, from homemade baked goods to grass-fed beef. It's not exactly cheap, but it's definitely delicious. We were very satisfied and would return.

Great service, including expert food recommendations... The food itself was a delight - even when you combine fried potatoes with Gorgonzola sauce 🤭👌👍 The kitchen is even open until 9 p.m. on weekdays...which has unfortunately become a rarity in these latitudes. The waitress was very nice when greeting us and taking our order. Unfortunately, the chairs outside were uncomfortable, hard, and the floor was uneven... The drinks and food arrived quickly. The food was okay and exactly as described on the menu. But I expected more, or rather, something different in terms of taste. That doesn't mean it was bad, but it wasn't to my taste. The yeast pancakes were good, but according to the children's menu, they came with ice cream, but according to the waitress, they didn't. 🤷🏼‍♂️. The dessert menu also described them as not serving ice cream. But that's contradictory... All in all, okay, but I've had better in the Spreewald (Lübbenau).

Very tasty schnitzel (the fries maybe too salty), very tasty homemade cakes, and the staff is exceptionally friendly too. We loved it!

Friendly staff, and the ambiance is very nice, but the food prices are quite steep. A plate of pasta costs €20, and I think brawn with fried potatoes costs €20, which is a lot.

My family and I visited this café for coffee. The location is very nice! It looks particularly beautiful in the afternoon. The servers were always helpful and friendly, providing you with everything you need. It's clean, and you can sit inside or outside. The coffee was okay, but the bruschetta was delicious! It was nicely seasoned, so you could taste everything in your mouth. They also offered additional spices and oils.

While looking for a suitable place to refuel, we stopped at Café Fontane. We received a friendly welcome, and a freshly set table was quickly set. On a Friday, getting a table without a reservation seemed almost impossible. After a quick orientation at the table, the menu was presented, and we were presented with a fairly clear selection of dishes. Drinks and food were readily ordered in one sitting: penne for the lady and chicken for the gentleman. Everything was delicious, with the penne with Gorgonzola sauce being second to none. The extremely friendly staff regularly, but not intrusively, asked how we were. This is the kind of dining experience you enjoy. Would you recommend it? Absolutely!!!

I can't recommend Café Fontane. I had a vegetable gratin on Whitsun Sunday, which left me with stomach cramps the following night. Two days later, I'm still struggling with stomach pain... The cream of asparagus soup that started it was way too salty. The value for money here is completely out of the question, as the prices are so inflated. I can't recommend this restaurant at all!

We had dinner there. The food was very good. The staff was very friendly. I highly recommend it. It's a good idea to make a reservation.

Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant visit. Children were obviously not welcome, and there was no sign of any consideration or friendliness. If you don't want to ruin your day, you'd better eat somewhere else.

A truly lovely ambiance, but unfortunately, the service was completely unsatisfactory (the staff was unfortunately overwhelmed by the number of guests), and it took a very long time. They should have taken fewer tables and properly informed the guests. Unfortunately, objective criticism was met with a very angry, unfriendly, and loud response. Once and never again. A shame.

Mediocre food for a very high price - using premades (like store bought sauce hollandaise or powdered soup), not balanced, and either over or under-salted. They also made a mistake with the order and brought the most expensive dish, then didn’t change the price.

Food dry. Price-performance ratio is a bit wrong as a result. Fried potatoes made from overcooked potatoes, therefore soft, without bacon, seasoned with dried herbs...terrible. Portion of asparagus (3 sticks), a piece of salmon 2 fingers wide, salad side dish not marinated... A tragedy. Great... you can choose your own side dishes for the main dishes. Now it's coming!!! A change of inserts will be charged at €2.50. 🤣😅 Crazy.... The food is not worth the money. Staff very flimsy. How much alcohol do you have to drink to give this 5 stars? You don't have to have it a second time. Ambience great.

Cafe Fontane is one of the most beautiful cafes in Lübbenau. Worth a visit just because of the name, as Theodor Fontane has a similar meaning for Brandenburg as Theodor Storm has for Schleswig-Holstein. In the interior there is also a quote from "Leave it to time" by Fontane: "If something seems outrageous to you, If you are deeply outraged, don't break trees, don't try to argue, Don't touch it, leave it to time [...] Anger is a drain and a life-poisoner, time is a balm and a peacemaker." So anyone who is annoyed about one of the dishes should just think of old Theodore.

The grill plate is absolutely recommended! So far we've only ever sat outside - in the middle of summer, mosquito spray is also recommended, otherwise you'll quickly end up with delicious food for the little pecks. The wine selection is also impressive: e.g. Sidhuri Montepulciano D'abruzzo. Excellent! PS: Tip - it's best to make a reservation!

I cannot recommend this restaurant. The food was okay, but not something that would make me go there again. But what wasn't right at all was the service. Rude, snippy tone and thought she had to reprimand guests. Absolutely not a welcoming atmosphere. But luckily Lübbenau has other nice restaurants to offer.

A great restaurant. Everything just fit. The service was great, as was the food.

Very fine and well-located café where you can get more than just coffee and cake. The menu is good and cheap, manageable and with regional dishes. The food is wonderful and you can only say good things about the staff. The market square is not far away and it is only a few minutes to the harbor. Of course, the café also serves ice cream, so a complete range is offered here. We really like it here and you can sit comfortably here, even outside when the weather is nice. Highly recommend the café.

Very friendly and warm staff! We were there spontaneously with five people and two dogs. The two dogs immediately got water and each a treat. Good food and cozy atmosphere. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back!

We would be happy to visit the Fontane again during our Silki and Rüdi holiday week AND ONE YEAR LATER...still highly recommended. Very attentive service. Great food and always happy.
