I was very disappointed. Compared to the Extrablatt in Herford, the portions were much too small. I didn't feel full, and that was almost €20. Everything in Bad Salzuflen is probably geared toward seniors. It's no longer worth a visit for me.

Absolutely recommendable for breakfast. Simply amazing.

It's located right next to the spa gardens, with a large outdoor area. The interior is pretty, just like any EXTRABLATT restaurant. The service was courteous and quick. Best, Anne😉

The ambiance is nice, especially outside! But then it started: First, they told us they'd run out of waffles, and it was a Sunday afternoon. Then it continued: Very cheeky, offering a piece of cake with only cream, and for €4.95 at that. The slice was small, and the portion of cream consisted of a tablespoon-sized dollop on the side! That's completely unacceptable – especially since opting out of the cream doesn't make the whole thing any cheaper. This is a rip-off, to be clear. I give the service 3 stars: consistently nice and friendly. Unfortunately, here too – as in many other restaurants – you can tell that "students and the like" are really trying, but they're just missing the finishing touches. Where would that come from with unskilled staff?

The food tastes good overall, but the fries are occasionally cold – which is a shame. The portions could definitely be larger, as you sometimes leave the restaurant still hungry. The service fluctuates considerably, which is probably due to the frequently changing staff: sometimes very attentive and friendly, sometimes rather disorganized and not really on the ball. The ambiance, however, is highly recommended – whether inside or outside. The view of the water, in particular, creates a great atmosphere and invites you to linger.

Das Restaurant mit großer Außenterasse ist sehr schön in der Nähe des Kurparks angelegt. Es gibt gemütliche Sitzplätze im Schatten, auch das Innere ist wie man es von Extrablatt erwarten würde. Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht. Wir genossen ein Eiskaffee, welchen ich in keiner Eisdiele besser getrunken habe. Es schmeckte ausgezeichnet und ist eine Empfehlung wert.

If you want to sit comfortably on the edge of the spa gardens and have a drink and a bite to eat, this is the place for you. Like all restaurants in Bad Salzuflen, the Extrablatt is on the higher side. The food is of decent quality and tastes perfectly fine. I can tell it's a chain restaurant, though, and I miss the individual style in the food, which is what merits the fifth star. The aioli, however, is very tasty, and the selection is extensive. I find the cold drinks rather expensive. The ambiance is nice, thanks to the location; you can sit outside in a very cozy and comfortable setting under the trees. The furniture could benefit from a few renovations. The service is attentive and prompt, which earns it a fifth star and nothing to complain about. All in all, it's a good place to chill and chat with friends.

The food there was delicious. Unfortunately, we waited almost an hour, which we didn't think was okay. It was Ascension weekend.

We were really looking forward to celebrating my mother-in-law's birthday there today. We had made a reservation for 11 people (a week ago). When we got there, the tables had to be pushed together. We were also told that the rooms were air-conditioned, which unfortunately wasn't the case. A short while later, the manager started shouting at someone from the kitchen, insulting us and slamming dishes so loudly that our children were really scared. It was so awful; how can someone treat their staff like that? And then the guests can hear it. That was the last time we were there.

I was there today. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. I'd especially like to mention the waitress, Venus – she was super friendly, attentive, and had a really personable manner. You could immediately tell she enjoyed her job. Despite the full house, she was relaxed, helpful, and always had a smile on her face. I'm always happy to come back.

We ordered vegan tacos, and some with meat arrived. So far, no problem. However, waiting another 40 minutes for the next meal until everyone else at the table was finished was a shame. We've always enjoyed coming here, but unfortunately, there was nothing this time. One person had to go home hungry and disappointed.

Whether lunch or dinner, coffee or ice cream, you'll find delicious treats here at any time of day in the beautiful restaurant and outdoor area. The friendly young servers are particularly special: open-minded, attentive, and present. That really makes a big difference. I enjoyed being with you. Thank you.

Service was okay. The food was terrible; the salad was dry and brown. The tomatoes were dried out and shriveled. The icing on the cake was the toilet, which still smelled of urine and feces. We won't be back.

We were in the cafe today and were pleased. Despite it being Saturday and the large number of visitors, the service was fast and pleasant. We liked everything, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy. The only downside was that there were no napkins on the table. Otherwise, everything was great. To be continued :)

When the weather's nice, you can enjoy a relaxed breakfast outside. The breakfast buffet is appealing and offers a wide selection. The service is friendly and quick, and the value for money is reasonable. All in all, it's highly recommended.

It's actually super relaxed and great, but the card acceptance is absolutely 90s. Anyone with a more modern mindset should keep this in mind: they only accept old EC cards, nothing else.

The burger I ordered was absolutely inedible; both the meat and the cheese were terrible. After I complained to the shift manager, he became unfriendly and rude, absolutely unacceptable. I've never experienced such behavior before, and he insisted that I pay for the food even though I didn't eat it. The rest of the staff is very friendly.

A disaster!!! The service was far too slow and very uncoordinated. We waited forever to order. The food arrived in two stages, about 25 minutes late. Reordering drinks isn't possible. The children's menu says dessert comes with every meal. This isn't the case. The toilet was a disaster: a broken toilet lid was just lying there, and judging by the dust, it hadn't been there just a moment ago. We had to ask three times to pay. Oh, and about the situation on site: it wasn't full; the tables were at most 50% occupied. There were an insane amount of staff milling around, unfortunately totally uncoordinated. Dear landlord, this isn't going to work! This was the worst restaurant visit in a long time. And to make matters worse, the wheelchair-accessible ramp was blocked so that it could only be reached by taking a detour.

Definitely recommended. Very friendly staff, and the food is varied and truly delicious.

I can really recommend this place because it's very cozy, has a lovely atmosphere, and the food is delicious. The service is also really attentive.

This Extrablatt is actually much more beautifully designed outside than inside. There are plenty of cozy seating niches, surrounded by many well-tended plants, and views of the spa gardens. The interior is surrounded by a wraparound conservatory, where smoking is permitted. Unfortunately, the smoke also permeates the entire interior, making a visit there very unpleasant. The food is as good as ever, and the service staff are consistently friendly.

I recently visited the Extrablatt in Bad Salzuflen and, sadly, I have to say: Never again! The service was friendly and attentive – high praise for that. But what I witnessed as a guest was absolutely unacceptable: A person in the restaurant loudly criticized the service staff in front of the guests and practically belittled them. I assume it was the team leader. Such disrespectful and condescending behavior – in the middle of regular business – is completely unacceptable. It was not only unpleasant to witness, but also shows how little appreciation there is behind the scenes. As long as such conditions prevail there, I will definitely not return.

We received very friendly service, and the food was average. Nothing special, but manageable. The price/performance ratio is okay. Unfortunately, after our meal, we had to wait a very long time for our payment. No waiter came by for over half an hour. The waiter who was in charge of us seemed very stressed.

Went there for breakfast on Friday. Unfortunately, cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. After the first course, there were no more plates or rolls left. It took a while for something to be there again. Very unfortunate. It's really nice to sit outside but that's all we liked there.

Had neither fries nor beef patties on a Monday. This can of course happen, but the staff couldn't even recommend anything from the menu. Cocktails were solid.

I would like to give huge praise to Café Extra Blatt - especially to the waiter Fatih Torun, who impresses with every visit. Despite stressful and busy days, he always remains professional, friendly, attentive and authentic. You immediately notice that there is someone with real passion at work here! Fatih has a special feeling for his guests - always at the table at the right time, always with a smile and an open ear. It is rare to encounter such warm and competent service. Especially in hectic moments, he stays calm and keeps an overview - this creates a relaxed atmosphere in which you simply feel good. But the rest of the team also does a great job: great teamwork, good organization, friendly service and delicious food - everything is perfect. Thank you for many beautiful moments and a top experience – always happy!

Delicious food, whether cold or warm, simply beautifully prepared by the kitchen staff. Drinks are great too. Service staff are always very nice and friendly. Price/performance ratio is simply great.

We waited 1.5 hours, then got the wrong food, in other words, we don't actually have the dish we ordered on the menu anymore, so they get it, impossible, never again. Ordered salami pizza for the children and it was delivered with extra jalapenios. If you say extra plates, you can't manage to deliver an extra plate. When we first ordered, a waiter simply ran away and only took the order for one person, even though there were six of us. So we would have to wait for another waiter. At least the dog was allowed in.

Nice location, various seating options, not too loud. Great terrace with a view of the lake 👍🏼.

I find sitting outside much nicer than inside

Hmm, that wasn't so great. Maybe we had a bad day. The fries were cold, the currywurst had been on the grill for far too long. Tasted like it had been warmed three times. The service was tried hard, but sometimes overwhelmed, even though there wasn't much going on. I wouldn't go there again.

All in all great 👍 The staff is very, very friendly 😃 The prices are ok too. But the food... Lots of ConvinIence products. Whether sauces or meat. Parties are TK, the cream schnitzel is made from molded meat. Hence the square shape and very salty. Pizza is delicious but also very cheaply made because of the cheese. My tip.. the cocktails and long drinks 👍 are very nice and of high quality

I tried fries and chicken crispers, fries 6/10 and the CHICKEN CRISPERS are perfect, 10/10 if I could rate 1-20 then it would be 16/20

Five of us ate there today and I have to say it was a positive experience. Apart from the good food, we all were so amazed by the service force Jahongir. He was very friendly and accommodating. Jahongir responded to everything we asked and fulfilled our every wish. We would only come again because of him. Simply great.

Selten so schlechtes Essen bekommen. Wir hatten fürchterlichen Hunger und das Cafe war in der Nähe. Hätte ich vorher gewusst, dass man ein Schnitzel so schlecht zubereitet und lieblos anrichtet, hätte ich Wasser getrunken und mich damit gesättigt. Service war aber nett und freundlich. Nie wieder etwas Essen in der Location.

Unfortunately my food was forgotten so I had to wait a relatively long time. The tomatoes I ordered were unfortunately included, but things like that happen. Mistakes in the kitchen are part of it, and what we liked best was the service. I think the waiter's name was Patrick and he was excellent, such an open and nice person. I just say: "Salary increase due" we'll be back!

Some of the service staff are great, but the boss is not. We had booked a table for 7 people for 9:15 p.m. on a Sunday and drove there especially from the motorway. Due to traffic, we didn't get there until 9:25 p.m. The boss said the kitchen was closed. It was only because the waiter stood up for us that we still got something to eat. Although the opening hours that day were stated to be 11:00 p.m., at 10:15 p.m. we were told that we could now order the last round, even though there were other guests there. We left immediately and won't be back. The food was good, and the 5 stars for service are for the waiter, without whom we wouldn't have had anything to eat.

After 25 minutes I asked if we could be served. ! The order was then incorrect and the coffee had almost been drunk when the cake arrived. If there are no more staff for this system catering, then simply close it.

Today's visit exceeded everything. We were thrilled several times in the extra paper, but today we were happy. Tasteful, elaborate Christmas decorations in a nice atmosphere. Totally friendly, nice service surprised us with a Happy Santa Claus when we paid - thank you! We are always thrilled and happy here! A treat today (Friday) and that in heavy rain! Outside there was delicious Altbier in original glasses! Inside there were delicious squid rings (thanks to the rain) and another alt! It's worth mentioning that you feel very comfortable here! After my positive assessment, there were always problems with the glasses, as the delicious Frankenheim Alt was only available in pilsner glasses with a handle. Every now and then everything was fine again, but now Alt is only available in pilsner glasses.

A great restaurant. In the morning with a generous breakfast buffet. During the day with various offers from cakes, burgers, pizza and much more. and a large drinks menu. The staff is very friendly and the prices are acceptable. A visit near the Salzufler Kurpark is worth it. 😃

I ordered a cheeseburger today and was really looking forward to it. I was so disappointed and I know it's my own fault for not complaining. But it was so full and I just didn't want to be annoying, but dear cook: if fried onions are specified, they should be on there and it was really far dry. That's why I suspect the homemade burger sauce was forgotten because I couldn't see or taste it. But the fries were great and it was really nicely presented. But I was still disappointed

Es war nicht ansatzweise voll, wir haben auf zwei Salate über eine Stunde gewartet & dann aber noch 15 Euro nehmen für eine lächerliche Rohkost-Bowl mit TK-Falafel die auch als Eishockeypuck durchgehen konnten, Dressing was nach garnichts geschmeckt hat und angetrocknete, alte Paprika. Absolute Frechheit. Fast 7€ für einen mediocren Eistee. Geht da nicht hin, das ist reine Verarsche. Kellner waren langsam, viel zu nervös und unaufmerksam, es wurde vor Gästen gestritten. Was für ein Sauhaufen!

Terrible. We waited over an hour for two salads when the number of guests was low. The service staff was inattentive and argued in front of guests. The falafel in the Orient Bowl looked more like ice hockey pucks, the dressing didn't taste like anything, and the peppers were old and dried out. You should be ashamed of serving such rubbish for so much money.

Ambience beautiful. BUT waited 45 minutes for the food, which was then served cold. We weren't even asked if everything was okay. In the end we waited another 30 minutes to be able to pay, even though it was empty!!

Aufgrund eines Kuraufenthaltes sind wir in Bad Salzuflen gelandet und wollten mal gut und lecker frühstücken. Tisch reserviert und gegen 09.20h erschienen. Da wir zu diesem Zeitpunkt fast noch alleine waren, konnten wir das wirklich opulente Buffett ausgiebig geniessen. Die Auswahl reichte von italienischen und arabischen Vorspeisen, Quarks, Joghurts, Müslis, Eierspeisen in jeder Form, Aufschnittvariationen, geräuchtem Lachs, frischem Brot und Brötchen, Croissants, Salate und frischem, mundgerecht-geschnittenem Obst, bis hin zu Wackelpuddings, Kuchen und diversen Süßspeisen. Dazu gab es noch einen gut gekühlten Orangensaft. Und das ganze für gerade mal 16 Euro - unglaublich. Hinzu kam noch die überaus freundlichen und aufmerksamen Servicekräfte und die tolle Aussicht auf den kleinen See. Warme Getränke gingen extra (heisst ja auch 'extrablatt' ;-)), was aber angesichts der Qualität und Quantität der Speisen mehr als in Ordnung geht. Wir wählten Tee und erhielten losen Tee im Glassieb und Kandis - auch das ist, angesichts der vorherrschenden 'Beutel'mentalität, keineswegs mehr üblich. Kleiner Tipp am Rande: in der Zeit von 10.00 - bis ca. 11.30h staut es sich gewaltig und man muss überproportional lange am Buffett anstehen, da dort der größte Andrang herrscht. Nach Auskunft einer der Servicekräfte liegt die optimale Zeit zwischen 09.00h und 10.00h um einmal 'in Ruhe' zu frühstücken.

Wir waren heute spazieren im Kurpark mit 3 Hunden.. Wir wollten gerne ein Kaffee trinken und etwas essen. Aber leider ist uns der spass vergangen. Ins Lokal durften wir mit den Hunden nicht ( die waren denen wohl zu gross) also sind wir in den GESCHLOSSEN wintergarten. Dort wurde an allen Tischen geraucht. Ich weiss dass es im Sommer erlaubt ist weil dann dort alle Fenster aufgeschoben sind und es wie draussen ist. Aber nicht im Winter. Ist das euer Ernst? Auf Nachfrage hiess es, das beim Frühstück dort auch Rauchverbot ist. Ach , aber mittag oder Abendessen kann man im Rauch? Grausam. Es gibt ein Rauchverbot in geschlossenen Räumen. Unfassbar.

Unfortunately, you have to be careful about what you are charged. Mistakes happen, but accusing a guest of scrounging up two beers and then insisting on paying for them is a bottomless impudence. You don't treat guests like that!!!
