I was at Café del Sol in Erfurt today and I can tell you: it was a taste explosion that my stomach celebrated! As soon as I walked in, I felt like I had accidentally booked a short vacation in a Mediterranean oasis. Chilled music and so much good vibes that I almost thought I had to put on sunglasses to avoid being blinded by the vibe. Then came the moment of decision: the schnitzel menu. I was so overwhelmed that I read the menu three times as if it were a mysterious book that you just can't decipher. Viennese style schnitzel? Hollandaise schnitzel or schnitzel with paprika sauce? I was a case for “schnitzel or not schnitzel, that is the question”. But don't worry, the waiter - a true schnitzel whisperer - recognized my dilemma immediately. “Why not try all three?” So the waiter ordered me all three variants. What came next was schnitzel magic! A plate that looked like a gourmet version of "Lord of the Rings" - the schnitzel trio of power. Every bite is an adventure: crispy, juicy, and so delicious. The crème brûlée at Café del Sol? An addictive crunch and underneath a cream so good that my taste buds jumped for joy. A dessert that makes your taste buds dance! In short: If you really want to feast and bathe in schnitzel happiness, head to Café del Sol in Erfurt! My stomach and I can't wait to come back - I'll bring elastic pants with me just to be safe!

We have been guests at Cafe del Sol many times, but have now noticed several times that everything has become very poor. The food was usually great, but this time it was very disappointing. We ordered a Thai curry bowl, which simply tasted poor. Consisting of a lot of rice with a little pepper on top was sobering. We used to know things differently and much better. In addition, my food came from the kitchen garnished with “fresh” hair. Everything goes away, that's not possible. We will definitely go to another location in the future.

Super delicious food. We were a small group (12 people). The drinks came quickly, the service was super nice, the food was tasty and came quite quickly. All in all great. We'd love to come back.

Waiter Amera was very rude! Otherwise we were always at peace but apparently Amera makes his friendliness dependent on external appearances.

We come to the Del Sol several times at the end of the day, but what happened last night was really underground, it seemed to me like in GDR times, a service staff was so rude to guests because they didn't stop at the entrance and let themselves be seated... the whole place was already almost empty... the guests were really offended and left with the words... we come here so often but something like that has never happened to me... if that had happened to me I would have left too, and the words from the service were there too Still... we still decide where the guests sit... I don't think that's what the management wants.

Far too expensive, the Pinsa was a ready-made frozen product. At least it tastes that way. Good chefs used to work there, but unfortunately that has changed. Not a restaurant but a snack bar with ready-made products.

Particularly noteworthy is the restaurant management, who discreetly and politely asked each table whether everything was OK and how satisfied the guests were. We found this personal touch very pleasant. Small points of criticism were openly accepted and attempts were made to find a solution immediately. This respectful approach to feedback shows how important guest satisfaction is to the team. Conclusion: The Café del Sole not only offers excellent food and a pleasant atmosphere, but also service that is characterized by discreet attention and an open approach to criticism. We were completely satisfied and can only recommend this café. 5 stars – A great place that we will happily visit again!

For a chain, delicious food and served quickly. Friendly staff. Price-performance unfortunately a bit too expensive. But well located outside the city with a very large parking lot in front of the door.

Very long wait until the food was at the table. The service was constantly changing and it was very confusing as a guest. The portions were very small, just 3 small chicken nuggets and a few fries, which didn't fill my child up. My Avocado Pinsa only had 4 small pieces of avocado on it. It's a real shame, I would have expected more. Wouldn't come back again either.

The food was good, but sometimes the noise in the Sol café was more reminiscent of a train station hall. The waitresses are nice to the customers, although the waiters occasionally talk to each other loudly like “peasants”. The guest doesn't necessarily have to notice something like that. Stable food with deductions in the volume and tone of colleagues' interactions with one another.

Unfortunately it wasn't good. Service staff were very unfriendly and we waited forever for food. When the food came, the table didn't receive all of the food, but all at different times... a shame. Unfortunately, (one) turkey schnitzel wasn't really cooked through. The Café del Sol has definitely had better days. Location is really great - but one or two employees are really flying high.

Went there for the breakfast buffet with the children. Was very good, wide selection. Unfortunately, plates were not always available. We will definitely come back.

It was my first time there and I especially have to praise the extremely friendly and attentive service. Really very good. Food was okay, nothing special, but okay. Drinks great.

I don't understand why people like going here. The food is neither lovingly prepared nor is it of convincing quality. Been here again for a long time, it's in a good location. It took quite a long time until we were served. The service staff was friendly, but quite quiet and uncoordinated even though there was little going on. Of the four drinks we ordered, only two arrived, the other two 10 minutes later. Unfortunately the quality of the food is poor and the taste is nothing special. My fries were cold and the mushroom cream sauce was more sweet than savory. The rest of the dishes were similar. Accordingly, the price is not justified. If a run-of-the-mill schnitzel is enough for you, you'll find what you're looking for here, you shouldn't expect much more. For me it was the last time. There are plus points for the ambience in the outdoor area and the large vegetarian and vegan food selection.

Pleasant restaurant for people who don't want any surprises but also wouldn't set foot in a McDonald's or Burger King.

More than a cafe, a good restaurant from morning to night!

We were there for lunch and are very satisfied. The food came quickly, the service was super nice and accommodating. The food was super tasty and absolutely filled you up! We have been there many times and will stop by again and again. Keep it up!

Very bad shop. A fast food restaurant, nothing more. The only thing that was polite were the individual waiters. Except the cashier, who was absolutely pazig several times. No condiments or sauces on the tables. Actually wanted to get up and leave before ordering. We ordered a pizza that was only half and had to request extra balsamic vinegar and that was great. The drinks (cocktails) were disgusting, they both tasted like sugar water, reminded me of Egypt. Insect traps, which are banned in Germany, were hung everywhere in the outdoor area. There were 12 insect traps and we're not talking about flies here, but rather wasp traps. Never again . The shop is not recommended and is also far too expensive for Frass.

A beautifully furnished restaurant all year round. Enjoy your meal. Unfortunately the waiter wasn't in the best mood that day and it was clearly noticeable. Otherwise it was a nice evening.

We ate and drank very well. All service staff very friendly. Also a compliment to the kitchen, which is usually forgotten. We will come back.

Just keep going wonderful after-work stop

Unfortunately, it initially took a very long time (>25 minutes) until someone from the service came to us and took our drink order, even though there was hardly anything going on. At this point it was just us sitting inside the restaurant. Only the gentleman who brought us the food asked several times as he walked past whether anything was missing or how it tasted. If this hadn't been the case I would have only given the service one star

Very nice location. Food selection quite large. Seasonal offers and everything fresh. Food rather simple, but very tasty. Prices are a little higher, but still within reason. Something for everyone Service staff very committed and super friendly. There is a bit of a holiday feeling when you spend time there. We'll definitely be back.

We were at CDS on a Saturday evening. Ambiance is great, has been for years. There is a real Mediterranean feeling here. The taste and price-performance ratio for drinks and food are perfect. However, we waited almost 1.5 hours for our food. During this time we asked three times whether it had been forgotten. Of the three waiters, one told us something about it, the other two wanted to ask, but never came back. When it arrived, it could have been a bit hotter, but the taste was great. In principle, it is unfortunately a consequence of the lack of staff in the CDS and the catering industry in general. But the restaurant manager was always helpful and super friendly.

Breakfast on Saturday as a buffet was very good and varied. Service very friendly and quick. 13.90 euros per person for the buffet is reasonable. Drinks are extra. The ambience is good, little things like the heating panel could be repaired soon. Sanitary facilities are clean.

If you order vegan and get vegetarian, despite previous questions. The note to the waitress was ignored. “Oh, I’ll have to tell the kitchen next time.” No excuse, no replacement! Am very disappointed. That's really not possible! The ambience and location is great. Hope it was just a bad day for the lady.

First and last time. Ambiance is ok, but not air-conditioned and some tables are a bit tight. Many families with children -> noisy. Service was negative several times. Pizza dough (pinsa) Saturday 7:00 p.m. everyone, something is going wrong. We were all disappointed with the food. It's just outdoor pool snack quality... Apart from the fries, everything was below average and absolutely not appropriate for the price. Too bad.

We sat outside on benches that really need a general overhaul. No trace of seat cushions. End of song, there was peeling paint all over the clothes. We waited an hour for the drinks. It's a shame for us, at these temperatures we can definitely do more. These were ok, but also expensive. Gin and tonic 9.90eu. The food came at the same time. We ordered sweet potato fries for the citizen. These few fries, really a small portion, cost 5.80eu extra. So you pay 18.90eu for a citizen + fries + dip and the taste of the food wasn't outstanding. Our waitress was friendly, nice and really tried hard, but she can just don't change the concept. All in all, the café has had better days!!!

Very tasty burgers, nice service

Table for 7 people was reserved and was only escorted to the table after 10 minutes, even though the place wasn't even half full. We then had to wait 20 minutes until a nice lady asked us what we would like to drink. The drinks then took another 15 minutes to arrive. We were then allowed to order food after an impressive 20 minutes. By the time we got our food, I had finished my drink and had to raise my hand several times because no waiter even looked at me, so I waited again until I got my second drink. The food came 45 minutes later. Pulled pork burger with fries, price was okay, portion wasn't big. So the food, the ambience and the price were completely fine, but the service and the waiting time were catastrophic, even though the shop wasn't even full. Why do you let so many customers come in and make reservations when you know full well that you can't handle the situation?!

It has always been a stable institution in Erfurt. Also ideal for breakfast.

Breakfast at a flat rate “all you can eat”

The menu is absolutely not my cup of tea, mainly burgers, salad and pasta. The service wasn't great even though it wasn't busy at all that day. So I prefer the restaurants around the Anger to Domplatz. You get more on offer everywhere. Absolutely disappointed! Thank you for the offer, but there will definitely not be a second attempt with this rating! Work on yourself urgently! My tip, instead of nice words!

Nice cafe! Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for breakfast, even though there wasn't really much going on. The breakfast was ok, but unfortunately nothing special.

Unfortunately there is a street in front of the restaurant which spoils the ambience a bit. In the evening there is less traffic and therefore completely okay. The staff is super fast, very friendly and accommodating. The food was all fresh and delicious. No matter whether you want to eat savory or sweet. The prices are moderate. The parking lot is right next to the restaurant. Unfortunately, the restaurant is not barrier-free. But I don't think I saw everything either. I will explore it on my next visit and share it here. We will definitely come back again. I can recommend the restaurant 100%.👍

Standard franchise store. Food nothing special and service inattentive.

Nice ambience, friendly staff and delicious food at affordable prices. I'm always thrilled when I come here to eat. It starts in the large, free and barrier-free parking lot when you arrive, you are greeted by the cozy ambience on the veranda and then make yourself comfortable in the restaurant. Schnitzel is very tasty here. Particularly noteworthy are the modern and clean toilets.

Prices are pretty steep. Then an extra euro is charged for a mini portion of ketchup and mayo. Food came quickly. The burger tasted pretty average. You weren't even asked if you wanted your meat medium/well done or otherwise. Only the service was good.

I ordered lunch with the total amount over 100 euros. I have no idea how that happened but there were buns on top of the 2x burgers. After 3 calls to 3 different employees, they started lying and explained something completely different. I order food never again in Cafe del Sol and don't let people like that make money for something like that.

Salted prices for a half-full Lillet Wild Berrie glass. Dessert that was ordered was forgotten. Service could be better. The restaurant not an option for a second visit.

My friend had a burger with fries, which wasn't really that appealing either. The only good thing about the meal was my sweet potato fries. I would like to say that everything has slowed down a lot and prices have increased. Things definitely used to be much better. After surveying my circle of friends etc. I found that everyone else said the same thing. That's really a shame because I think the restaurant and the terrace are really nice. Maybe it would be time for an overhaul.

We were looking forward to a delicious dinner and were very disappointed. The ambience is very nice though. Unfortunately, the taste of the chili con carne was not at all convincing. The burger was dry, the patty was way too small and dry. Service is too slow and overwhelmed. The price for a limo is overpriced at 6.70 euros. A pity !

Pretty steep prices. The piece of apple pie for 4.10 euros is quite expensive. When paying with a card, you have to select in advance how much of a tip you would like to give. I find something like that impossible. Although the ambience inside was really nice and the service was nice, it still only got 3 stars.

Food was great, a little bit for the price.

We were there in the early evening and only the outside area was relatively full. The waitress preferred to be at the counter with her colleagues rather than take an order promptly. The meal was then given up for three people with a little extra request (no ruccola on the burger). After a little over an hour of waiting, we dared to ask for our food, which was obviously forgotten. What was then served was a disgrace in every respect: the fries weren't cooked through, the rocket was of course on the burger, which was lukewarm and soggy and the absolute basics (ketchup, mayonnaise) were missing, even though they were ordered separately. The bill for three drinks and three half-finished main courses was over €100! Our complaint wasn't even followed by a simple apology, they just wordlessly placed the card reader on the table and rolled their eyes when there was no tip. Rudeness, poor service and sometimes inedible food, waiting times of over an hour in a virtually empty shop. We will definitely never go here again and will also plan the next team evening somewhere else, which should also lead there.

Typical ambience of the franchise chain with the usual range of food and drinks. What was striking was that the chocolate cake - not the already warm lava cake! - was actually served warmed, which was particularly good for this one and highlighted the taste - recommended for imitation in other establishments in the chain. Extremely friendly and yet pleasantly reserved service. Separate access also for wheelchair users. There is enough parking space at the house, but the access is a little hidden and could be marked more clearly for out-of-town visitors.

We were at Café del Sol on June 11th and had to realize that we won't be coming back. We had the chicken burger, the BBQ ribs and the chick and chips as a starter. The chick and chips were ok, but the big hit came with the burger and the BBQ ribs. The burger bun was dry and there was a lack of seasoning. I noticed that the BBQ ribs were dry and that could be because they were left for too long and therefore dried out. But there is a plus point, the drinks and the cocktail were delicious. The reservation I had made could still be found again. The waitresses were friendly and always tried hard.

I don't know what people think is great here. Well, the staff is nice. But the food really leaves a lot to be desired! I had the Classik Burger...It was so dry, cucumber and tomato??? I had to look for it, even though I asked for a slice of cheese, it was "dry as a boy". That's why I asked for some more burger sauce... a very small bowl came after about 20 minutes. By then the burger was cold anyway and I started eating the burger dry. When the bill came I thought I was crazy...1 slice of cheese extra €1.10 and this little bowl of "burger sauce" cost me €2.70!!! cost. A large apple spritzer at €5.70 isn't exactly cheap either. So it's definitely not recommended... and I don't even want to start talking about the waiting time... And I don't want to talk about the "pizzas" that my sisters had...the base of these...unmanageable...the edge is so hard...even the "supplied" scissors don't help! Just disappointing with this location when meeting my sisters
