Schönes Lokal mit sehr freundlicher Bedienung und gutem Preis/Leistungsverhaeltnis.

Ich war mit meiner Kollegin und zwei Kleinkindern dort essen. Die Kinder waren, wie es in diesem Alter normal ist, etwas aktiver. Man kann von Kleinkindern nicht erwarten, dass sie die ganze Zeit ruhig und still sitzen. Natürlich werden sie auch mal etwas lauter, schließlich sind es Kinder. Die Filialleiterin hat die Kinder jedoch vor allen Gästen laut angeschrien. Die Kinder bekamen Angst, unter den Umständen konnte Ich mein Essen nicht einmal aufessen, obwohl ich eine hohe Rechnung bezahlt hatte. Weder ich noch die Kinder wurden satt. Die anderen Mitarbeiter waren hingegen sehr höflich und freundlich. Das Verhalten der Filialleiterin war jedoch äußerst unfreundlich und unprofessionell. Niemand sollte Kinder, erst recht nicht vor anderen Gästen anschreien. Stattdessen hätte sie das Gespräch mit mir suchen müssen. Ich kann einem Kleinkind schließlich nicht den Mund zuhalten. Wenn Kinder in diesem Restaurant nicht willkommen sind, sollte man dies klar kommunizieren oder den Zutritt erst ab einem bestimmten Alter erlauben. Ich musste das einfach loswerden. Von einer Filialleiterin erwarte ich ein professionelles und respektvolles Verhalten. Ihr Umgang mit uns hat mich sehr schockiert.

Komme schon seit Jahren, waren aber heute mit 16 Leuten zum Essen da und es war alles bestens wie immer. So ein freundlicher und sympathischer Service. Man wird immer unheimlich nett empfangen und obwohl wir eine große Gruppe waren, kamen die Getränke und das Essen super schnell an unsere Tische. Die Herren, die uns heute bedient haben, waren sehr aufmerksam und wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Vielen Dank dafür.

Wir waren am Sonntag mit der Familie zum Brunchen da und möchten uns von Herzen bedanken. Das Buffet, die Atmosphäre und die Mitarbeiter alles war wirklich sehr schön. Ein ganz besonderer Dank geht aber an die Schichtleiterin. Meine Mama trägt aufgrund eines künstlichen Darms einen Beutel mit sich, und in diesem Moment waren wir beide sehr überfordert und es war uns auch unangenehm. Sie hat uns das angesehen und ihre Hilfe angeboten und wir sind so dankbar, dass wir sie angenommen haben. Mit ihrer ruhigen Art, ihrer Wärme, ihrer Stimme und vor allem ihrer Menschlichkeit hat sie uns sofort das Gefühl gegeben, dass wir ihr vertrauen können. Sie hat alles organisiert, uns begleitet, sogar den Beutel entsorgt und uns in diesem Moment wirklich beigestanden. Obwohl das für viele Menschen vielleicht unangenehm wäre, hat sie uns gezeigt, dass man sich für nichts schämen muss und dass so etwas jedem passieren kann. Ich selbst war sehr emotional und konnte sie kaum anschauen, weil ich sie am liebsten umarmt hätte. Aber sie war am Arbeiten und wir wollten sie nicht in einen emotionalen Moment bringen. Wir kommen leider aus Holland aber dieser Besuch hat sich nicht wie ein Besuch angefühlt. Wir wurden mit so viel Respekt und Herzlichkeit behandelt. Menschen mit Einschränkungen werden leider nicht überall so selbstverständlich und menschlich behandelt. Auch meine Mutter ist unendlich dankbar, dass die Schichtleiterin uns in diesem Moment zur Seite stand. Wir werden das nie vergessen. Falls diese Nachricht bei ihr ankommt: Bitte sagen Sie der Schichtleiterin, dass sie ein wundervoller Mensch ist und uns so herzlich aufgenommen hat. Von uns bekommt sie eine ganz große Umarmung zurück wir hätten sie ihr gerne persönlich gegeben. Danke, dass du so bist, wie du bist. Danke, dass du uns gezeigt hast, dass es noch gute Menschen gibt. 🩷

Richtig schön im Sommer dort zu sitzen und einen latte trinken

Heute war ich mit einem Freund im Café del Sol Castrop-Rauxel verabredet. Da sämtliche Parkplätze belegt waren, bin ich mehrere Minuten über den Parkplatz gefahren und habe vergeblich nach einem freien Stellplatz gesucht. Schließlich parkte ich auf einem Grünstreifen, ohne jemanden zu behindern oder irgendetwas zu beschädigen. Als eine Frau im Café-del-Sol-Shirt an meinem Auto vorbeiging, habe ich sie freundlich gefragt, ob das so in Ordnung gehe, da alle Parkplätze voll seien. Darauf kam eine sehr schnippische Antwort, dass dies „natürlich“ nicht in Ordnung sei, da dies ja eine Wiese sei und die „logischerweise“ nicht zum Parken da ist. Ich habe daraufhin erklärt, dass alle Parkplätze belegt waren. Darauf kam lediglich die Aussage, dann müsse ich mir eben eine andere Möglichkeit suchen. Der Ton dabei war durchgehend unfreundlich und schnippisch, sodass ich ehrlich gesagt sprachlos war. Ich habe noch angemerkt, dass man mit Kunden auch freundlicher sprechen könne. Danach stieg die Person kommentarlos in ihr Auto, schlug die Tür zu und fuhr davon. Professionell war das in keiner Weise. Nach meinem Eindruck handelte es sich bei dieser Person um die Filialleitung. Sollte das tatsächlich zutreffen, ist dieses Auftreten gegenüber Gästen sehr bedenklich. Das Essen selbst war sehr gut und unsere Servicekraft am Tisch war ausgesprochen freundlich und aufmerksam – dafür ein klares Lob. Umso enttäuschender ist es, wenn der erste Kontakt vor Ort einen so negativen Eindruck hinterlässt. Ich werde wegen des guten Essens und des Services am Tisch vermutlich wiederkommen –hoffe jedoch, dass die besagte Mitarbeiterin bei meinem nächsten Besuch gerade anderes zu tun hat, als Gäste auf dem Parkplatz auf diese Art zu begrüßen.

Ein sehr gepflegtes Restaurant und sehr gutes und preiswertes Essen. Auch die Bedienung sehr freundlich und die Wartezeit für das Essen war gerade 15 Minuten. Kann man nur empfehlen.

Wir waren rundum zufrieden mit unserem Besuch im Café del Sol. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir jedoch unsere Kellnerin Julia T. Sie war außergewöhnlich freundlich, aufmerksam und herzlich. Während unseres gesamten Aufenthalts hat sie regelmäßig nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist oder ob wir noch etwas benötigen. Man hat sich wirklich willkommen und bestens betreut gefühlt. So einen aufmerksamen und engagierten Service erlebt man nicht überall. Vielen Dank an Julia T. für den tollen Service – sie hat unseren Besuch besonders angenehm gemacht!

Habe den Samstag Abend mit meiner Freundin bei euch gesessen (draußen).Der Abend war super schön,würden wir auch jederzeit wiederholen....Essen war super, Bedienung super nett . Aber ....wäre super wenn ihr vielleicht Kerzen gegen Mücken aufstellen würdet 😅 Weil es sind schon ziemlich viele am Abend bei euch auf der Terrasse.

Es ist ein normales Cafe del Sol😁. Die Speisen würde ich als gehobenen Durchschnitt bezeichnen. Das Personal ist in dieser Filiale eigentlich immer nett und höflich und über die Woche in den Nachmittagsstunden ist es eigentlich nie zu voll für einen Zwischenstopp und ein Mittagessen in den Nachmittagsstunden. Für mich ist es tatsächlich ein großer Vorteil das das Cafe del Sol eine durchgehende Küche hat.

Ein wirklich tolles Restaurant! Super gemütliche Atmosphäre mit einem schönen Ambiente, in dem man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Das Essen war sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich das freundliche und aufmerksame Personal man wird herzlich empfangen und bestens bedient. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Die Atmosphäre ist eine ganz besondere, gefällt mir optisch sehr gut, leider ist die Geräuschkulisse zu laut. Schnitzelurlaub ist gut, Frühstücksbrunch ist schlecht, Brötchen total hart, Essen nicht richtig warm. Getränke sind sehr teuer und werden meist in nicht geeichten Gläsern serviert.

Wir waren Sonntags zum Frühstück dort. Brot und Brötchen waren trocken, der Bacon war sehr sehr knusprig. Leider habe ich nichts positives mehr zu sagen. Es gibt in der Preisklasse viel bessere Orte zum Frühstücken.

Service: Everyone was super friendly, especially Sevil who brought us drinks. There was always plenty available at the breakfast buffet, and it was regularly replenished. The price was right. We were very satisfied.

€8.10 for a bottle of San Pellegrino water. That's it, thanks, but never again.

Disaster. The price-performance ratio is completely off. The food portions are getting smaller and smaller while the price keeps rising. After two hours, you're asked to leave. I've never experienced such unprofessional management. Instead of offering solutions, they make false claims in the most appalling manner. You are not welcome here.

As long-time regular customers who visit approximately every four weeks with around ten people and regularly consume food and drinks, we are deeply disappointed by this experience. After only two hours, we were not only asked to leave the premises, but were also practically yelled at by the owner – in a tone that was completely inappropriate and gave the impression that she had been simmering with frustration for some time. Such behavior towards paying regular customers is unacceptable to us. Given that we traveled for over an hour, we feel utterly disrespected. We will avoid this establishment in the future and will definitely look for an alternative.

Unfortunately, I have to say that our impression of Café del Sol in Castrop-Rauxel has deteriorated significantly over the years. What used to be a regular haunt for us is now absolutely not something we would recommend. The food gets worse every year – both in terms of quality and quantity. Portions that used to be satisfying now seem uninspired and are considerably smaller. The "Schnitzel del Sol" in particular has fallen victim to this so-called "shrinkage." The price-performance ratio hasn't been acceptable to us for quite some time. €18.90 for a convenience schnitzel with a small handful of fries is simply outrageous. The only bright spot is the service staff. They are consistently friendly, attentive, and clearly trying to make the guests' experience pleasant. Sincere praise is due to them – they are the least responsible for the overall situation. However, what stands out as absolutely negative is the behavior of the owner. Unfriendly, loud, and disrespectful – both to guests and to her own employees. We've witnessed her snapping at other people in front of a crowd of customers on several occasions. Such an atmosphere is extremely unpleasant and has nothing to do with hospitality. Subjectively, it seems she can't handle the stress of the business, and this is then passed on unfiltered to everyone around her. It certainly doesn't come across as professional. This is particularly disappointing because we used to be regulars there with a larger group of 8 to 12 people – a fixed appointment once a month. Each time, we spent between €350 and €500. This shows that we were genuinely happy and loyal customers. But that's over now. Not anymore, as of today. There are simply too many alternatives in the area where you actually feel welcome as a guest. Best regards from our "regulars' table."

An absolute disaster and definitely not recommended. The owner is so unfriendly, arrogant, and disrespectful that you feel utterly despised as a customer – even as a long-time regular. Customer satisfaction is clearly of no concern whatsoever; the only thing that matters is making money. The quality of the food is plummeting: smaller portions, prepared without any care, and barely edible. What used to be good is now just an expensive disappointment. At the same time, prices keep rising without any justification. The value for money is completely out of whack. This place has completely ruined itself. Terrible service, poor quality, and sheer greed now define the entire experience. Anyone who wants to avoid hassle, bad food, and being ripped off should steer clear of this place.

Everything is great, except the tables are a bit too close to the others.

We came here spontaneously today for the first time. A very, very nice and pleasant atmosphere, very friendly staff, and a fantastic, generous breakfast! What more could you want? In the future, we'll gladly start our day earlier so we can have breakfast here again!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5 stars) Yesterday (starting at 6 pm), eight of us went to Café de Sol in Castrop-Rauxel to celebrate a birthday. The online reservation worked flawlessly – the standard booking is for two hours, but I was able to extend it by an extra hour over the phone. It was initially very busy, and parking is quite difficult, but our table was ready on time. The food was delicious, the drinks were excellent, and the overall atmosphere was very pleasant. I'd especially like to commend our server, Michele – incredibly kind, attentive, and friendly. She was always available, checked in several times to make sure everything was alright, and was simply very warm and welcoming. You really wish you had service like that everywhere! We were even allowed to stay longer at the end because it got quieter later on – that was very accommodating. In short: A highly recommended restaurant with great service, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere. The only downside: the poor parking situation right outside the door.

The salad was okay; I had ordered extra chicken with it. For almost €16 and five really small pieces of chicken, it was acceptable. I certainly won't order it like that again.

My wife wanted to reserve a table for herself and her friend for December 5th, 2025. Online reservations were only available for two hours. So, as recommended on the website, she called. On the phone, they told her they could give her an extra 30 minutes. My wife politely declined and asked what the point of a reservation was if they couldn't stay longer. The answer was that they didn't know how busy the café would be that day and therefore only had a limited time available. Isn't that what reservations are for? Planning security for both parties? My wife then wrote an email to Café del Sol. Today, Ms. Weidlich, the deputy manager, replied and explained the time limit by saying they wanted to offer all guests a "cozy table." What kind of justification is that? How cozy can an evening be when time is tight and you want to enjoy your food and drinks in a relaxed manner and have to rush through all the conversations?! This concept is clearly designed to maximize profit. My wife then wrote an email to Café del Sol. We're definitely done with this store and we're happy to share our experience! Luckily, there are plenty of alternatives!

Today was our first time at Cafe del Sol, and we were a little disappointed. The brunch buffet was plentiful, but only the small side dishes were actually tasty. The desserts were not recommended at all. The brownies were dry, and the puddings and cream desserts had a lumpy texture and tasted awful. The staff were friendly and efficient; no complaints there.

And that's why I don't like going to Café del Sol in Castrop-Rauxel so much... the restaurant management isn't very... nice!

Sunday brunch buffet: Good food, excellent selection, and excellent freshness. But folks, at your level, you need a portafilter machine, not a WMF coffee machine! Therefore: - 1 ⭐️

The food was really great! The service was very friendly and attentive. But I wouldn't choose brunch again. €130 for four people with everything was way too much for me :) The ambiance only deserved 3 stars. We sat outside, with shelter from the weather, but we sat on the side where everything was still open. It was cold, even with the very thin blanket. Inside, it was much more cozy, but also considerably louder.

The burgers, especially the chili cheese burger, are highly recommended. For dessert, Belgian waffles or chocolate heaven are simply fantastic! A nice fresh peppermint tea with honey is delicious. I also recommend the currywurst with fries; everything is filling and already served. 😎👌

A very nice ambiance, and a major plus: the staff are incredibly warm, attentive, and helpful – something you don't experience often. You can tell that they really enjoy their work, and that makes the visit particularly pleasant. Vegan options are available and really good. We ordered to-go, and even after a 15-minute drive, the fries were still crispy and delicious.

Unfortunately, the schnitzels have declined considerably. The turkey schnitzels were really good until a few months ago, but unfortunately, they seem to have changed suppliers. I hope that changes again and I'll find out about it through the reviews. The team there is still great and makes every visit very special. You can immediately tell he's passionate about his job, whether it's questions about the menu, special requests, or simply making guests feel at ease.
