Café Blücher Bar - Restaurant in München

So, I wanted a quick dinner one evening, so I simply chose the daily special (meatloaf with spaetzle, €13.50) advertised on the blackboard. Despite the packed outdoor area – with glorious sunshine and warm evening temperatures – I was served quickly. The food arrived just as quickly, despite the large number of guests. And paying was also quick. The meatloaf (3 large slices) was seared quickly and crisply, still tender on the inside, and with a light crust, it was exactly what I was looking for! The gravy and spaetzle were also delicious. I was able to pay with Google Play. Top. 5*. Thank you, I'll be back!

Finally a decent restaurant in the oly village again!!

The beef salad was good, good amount of meat, probably 130-160g, tender and properly cooked (though wasn't asked how to cook it). Though maybe lacking a bit of salad as I wasn't full after the meal. The bacon burger almost seems like a Macdonald's burger but a bit better but for 14€. In No issue taste wise but the slice of meat was very thin (likely 70-100g if I had guess) and probably frozen meat. (Clearly not worth the price) If you want a good burger, Le Burger 2 train stops further offers much better. The small side dish salad was fine. In total (for the salad+ burger (and fries) + sparkling water) it was about 25€. I don't feel like I'd be loosing much going to McDonald's. Other aspect, I find the service slow (I was by myself both times) and it takes about 20-30min from the time you get in to get your food (considering it takes 1min to choose). And I dont find the dishes complicated or the restaurant packed for that wait. All in all, not all dishes are worth it there, the beef salad is pretty decent and well priced but may not be enough for an 85Kg person.

We were long-time guests and always happily recommended the restaurant. Unfortunately, with the move, many things changed for the worse. Although we had made a reservation by phone, we weren't informed that the location had changed. The food arrived very quickly and was poorly presented – it simply lacked the usual quality. The biggest criticism, however, was the bill: we were overcharged for three dishes. When we politely pointed this out, we were treated rudely and accused of lying, even though it was clear that there were only 11 of us and 14 dishes were billed. Mistakes can happen, but the way they were handled was disappointing. Instead of finding a solution, we were treated accusatory – something you don't see in the restaurant industry. We wanted to resolve the issue privately in the restaurant, but the waitress insisted on going outside and clarifying it in front of all the guests. Very unprofessional. It's a real shame, but unfortunately, this was our last visit.

Unfortunately, our last visit was anything but satisfactory. The service was chaotic – the waitresses seemed completely overwhelmed, disorganized, and often disrespectful in their tone. There was hardly any friendliness or attentiveness. The food also didn't live up to our usual standards: the portions had become significantly smaller, the fries weren't cooked properly, and the overall taste was disappointing. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this restaurant in this condition. It's a shame – it used to be much better. Normally, zero stars!

Unfortunately, the Blücher is no longer like the original Blücher and the traditional Sunday lunch menu with roast pork is no longer available.

Unfortunately, I absolutely cannot recommend this restaurant. The prices on the handed-out menu did not match the prices charged. When I asked the waiter about it, he simply brought another menu with the higher prices and insisted that these prices apply. I clearly stated that this wouldn't work and that I would only accept the price on my menu, but the waiter was completely uncooperative and just made excuses. The roast pork I ordered was advertised as two dumplings and a bacon coleslaw. However, I only received one dumpling and coleslaw without bacon. When I pointed this out, the waiter later simply said that they now only serve one dumpling – even though all the menus clearly state two dumplings. Here, too, the waiter insisted on his right and the higher prices, so I reluctantly paid the excessive amount. Transparency and customer service are definitely not the same. I will not visit this restaurant again and cannot recommend it to anyone.

Two of us went there on a Sunday because I had noted that they were supposed to have particularly good roast pork. Expectations were accordingly high, as the menu offered a classic roast pork with bread dumplings, potato dumplings, and bacon coleslaw for €14.90. The food: We ordered roast pork, a mango-mint spritzer, a shandy, and a burger. Unfortunately, the meal was disappointing overall. The roast pork was completely missing the bread dumpling; there was only a potato dumpling and some coleslaw. Especially in Bavaria, the combination of two dumplings is standard and is also confirmed by many traditional recipes. The coleslaw was okay, but nothing special. The mango-mint spritzer consisted of mango juice and a mint bouquet – the flavor wasn't complete, as the mint barely imparted any flavor to the drink. Here, too, I would have expected more, especially given the price. Pricing: Another annoyance: The mango-mint spritzer was €0.10 and the roast pork €0.60 more expensive than stated on the menu. When asked, the waiter brought a menu with the higher prices and explained that this was the case. The fact that there was only one dumpling available had also been the case for a month – but this wasn't stated on the menu. This lacks transparency and is frustrating for guests. Conclusion: Overall, the experience was disappointing. The quality of the food was not convincing, the portion sizes deviated from the menu, and the price change was only communicated upon payment. Especially with a traditional dish like roast pork with dumplings, one expects more care and transparency in Munich. For a successful Sunday roast, there are definitely better alternatives in Munich.

Upon entering the "Blücher im Olympiadorf," a chalkboard welcomes you with the promise of homemade specialties, while the warm, modern atmosphere exudes a sense of comfort. Unfortunately, the food turns out to be rather mediocre. A special attraction, however, is the lunch menu at a special price.

The food is highly recommended! Despite being full and only two servers, we received our food and drinks quickly. Excellent service and excellent food!

I was surprised to finally find a good restaurant in Munich, specifically in the Olympic Park. The food was very good. The roast beef with onions was very tender and plentiful. Prices were reasonable for Munich.

As regulars at the old Blücher, we wanted to try the new restaurant. We ordered two roast pork dishes on the terrace. One was good, the other was extremely fatty and came with a slice of pork belly. After complaining to the not-so-friendly waitress, we were told it's just the way it is...no go...no words. We sent it back, paid, and went to another restaurant. What a pity, we won't be eating here again, and the atmosphere on the concrete terrace is anything but pleasant.

I've been going to Blücher with my grandma for years, and I have to say: the move has really been good for the restaurant. The new premises fit perfectly - it now looks more modern without losing the old charm. Here you can find classic dishes at a fair price, and the lunch menu in particular offers great value for money. The service is particularly noteworthy: lots of friendly, smiling faces that immediately make you feel good and make your visit pleasant.

Unfortunately, since they opened a month ago, they've already raised prices considerably and reduced the portion size. Card payment was not previously possible and Kaiserschmarren on the card is only available sometimes.

Really nasty service when they noticed we didn't speak German. Despite having 2 kids who begged for water, they did not look at us for 40 mins. People ariving after us got to order, eat, and leave before our order was taken. My sons fell asleep on the bench.

Beautiful location in the Olmpiadorf with a friendly host and nice service! The breakfast was very tasty and rich. The prices for Munich are cheap. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back!

Yesterday we were in the new Blücher in the Olympic Park. Unfortunately, they kept the martial name. There is a large sunny terrace at the end of the Olympic Village shopping street. And the sun was shining. So the best conditions. But the waitress snapped at us because we wanted to sit on the terrace, in an area she described as off-limits, even though there was no barrier in sight. She was very unfriendly. So we went somewhere else to celebrate our anniversary.

The Blücher in the Olympic Village is a kind of inn in the Olympic Village. Neighbors and regulars from the old location meet here for coffee, a cold drink and simple food. The atmosphere is relaxed and pleasant. We tried the currywurst, which was large but otherwise somehow a little below average. Maybe it was fried instead of grilled? The fries were okay, the curry sauce was boring. There are a maximum of three stars for this. The service, on the other hand, was fast, friendly and above average. Full 5 stars. Thanks.

Very good. Finally a restaurant in Olydorf that appeals to most people. Delicious dishes, a wide range of options, large portions and very reasonable prices. Great!

My favorite restaurant with top roast pork. Unfortunately the Sunday offer has now been halved. Just a slice of roast and a dumpling. It used to be different. So price increases of over 100% in 10 years. But that's the situation right now thanks to our left-wing politics. Unfortunately the restaurant is moving in April. I will miss the atmosphere.

Lunch very disappointing compared to before. The quality of the food has deteriorated and the service seems unfriendly and unmotivated. Been there several times and sometimes the meat was cold, the cheese spaetzle wasn't tasty or the atmosphere wasn't inviting. Although attempts are made to keep the price low, it is very noticeable in the quality. Restaurant was very empty. In comparison, for example, Tony's food bar is completely full

Unfortunately very disappointed with the onion roast, unfortunately I have never eaten as badly as I did here. My husband had a burger that was good, but the lumberjack steak and onion roast were very bad. The sauce was the same for both dishes and was far too watery. The steak was also made from chicken, which I don't know. Service was friendly that was the only good thing.

Solid local pub with a Schitzeltag and beer garden. The staff was always super friendly and the food was okay. The highlight is that there is Guinness.

Has nothing to do with a restaurant! The service consists of untrained staff and also reacts angrily when you politely ask for drinks after waiting 15 minutes. Unfortunately, things don't look any better in the kitchen or with the food. I don't have to go to a restaurant for that! ANYONE can do this at home. Save your money and avoid this store.

Word to the wise…this Bar - Restaurant does not accept “non-German credit cards”, described by the server. They accept only German credit cards. We found this odd. Luckily we had cash.

One Saturday morning I sat down to have breakfast at the restaurant, then I asked for a classic breakfast, then there wasn't even a bee or fly near me, then as I was eating, more and more flies came on my food, in the end I couldn't eat the food don't touch it anymore. I told the waiter that this was a problem for me and I didn't want to continue having breakfast like that, he said it was fine. I asked if I had to pay full price for the meal in this case too and the waitress said she was sorry but I had to pay for everything. Unfortunately it was very disgusting, I won't eat here again.

Lunch menu was good and the price was fair.

The price-performance ratio of the food was acceptable. However, the service was unfortunately very poor. We asked if there was a table available for four people. The waitress said yes and said she would come back soon. After about three to four minutes she returned and led us to a table. Other guests who came after us simply sat down at a free table. There were about 10 tables occupied and it wasn't very busy. The waiting time for the drinks was a good 15 minutes. We asked for Kaiserschmarrn, which wasn't on the menu. The waitress confirmed that there was Kaiserschmarrn. We then ordered the main courses. Again we had to wait a long time. We then ordered the bill and the Kaiserschmarrn. This time the waiting time was over 30 minutes. When we asked when the food would arrive, the waitress explained that the Kaiserschmarrn was freshly prepared and needed at least 30 minutes. We had to ask for the bill again because she hadn't brought it with the Kaiserschmarrn. The bill didn't come until we had finished eating and had to ask again. I have never experienced a waitress as slow and unfriendly as her. Due to the long waiting times, we were actually there for over two hours. The waitress wasn't attentive, didn't explain anything to us and we just lost time.

The attidude when i came was-only cash.OK with me because i got only beer.Than after half beer i went outside to smoke and when i return,there was no beer and one guy in my place.i understand that main bartender hated me and wanted me to suffer.And when i complane about beer,she actually spill the same amount beer i had left(there was around 6 people there so it wasnt busy)So,i didnt like but maybe food is great there.Couldnt stay any longet

Okay, but unfortunately not more than okay. The food was okay, and in the end probably the best thing about visiting Blücher. The drinks were generally rather stale. But it's not so cheap that you could blame it on that. Unfortunately, the ambience has something of a train station hall feel to it. There is a television and it was turned up so loud that normal conversation was hardly possible. Overall it was very loud, in an unpleasant way. What was quite unfortunate was that although card payment was signposted, when paying it turned out that neither credit cards nor debit cards were accepted. All in all, unfortunately just okay. I wouldn't go there again and unfortunately I can't recommend it to anyone. 🤷‍♀️

Without asking, the amount that was 22.70 euros was upgraded to 23 euros in the card reader. It doesn't work at all. The food we ordered was not good, the roast onion we ordered was more than done, dry and completely overcooked. There was also bacon in the potatoes, even though that wasn't on the menu. Cannot recommend this store at all.

There were seven of us in the restaurant on AC/DC Sunday June 9th. the house was well attended but the two conditions were warm, friendly and quick.. The food was very good and, above all, quick and warm.. If we are in the area again, a visit is a must.

In our opinion, Café Blücher is actually a really quaint, friendly and delicious restaurant that you can enjoy at any time of the day!! Top service with a level of friendliness that is not commonplace these days is offered here. We ate here on two evenings and were really impressed every time. The food is of top quality and really freshly prepared, an absolute recommendation! 😋👍

I called a week before the Champions League semi-final second leg between Bayern and Real to reserve a table for 4 people. On the day of the game, the lady at the reception argued with us 5 times that we hadn't reserved a table and that she couldn't find our name. The 6th time I was allowed to look for my name in the reservation book myself and lo and behold, after 5 seconds I was able to find my name and the reservation. So other guests were sent away so that we could take a seat. But the worse part is yet to come... When we had been sitting at the table for 10 minutes and wanted to order, they said that we should please order food and drinks 5 minutes apart, which we did. When we wanted to order the food, the waitress said that 'the guests at the front table had just arrived and we should have waited longer' even though we had already been waiting longer. But the real kicker was that after ordering the food, we were told 'that we shouldn't cause any trouble like we did last week' and that she 'remembers us negatively' even though it was our first time there 😂 That's a complete impudence has nothing but nothing to do with good service and appropriate treatment of guests. Unfortunately the food was very salty but the taste was good. At halftime we took a quick breather as it was unbearably stuffy inside. When we got back to our place, the televisions stopped working, which meant we missed the second half😂 Instead we were allowed to listen to radio music. When I paid, I was also charged for a large water (0.75 liters) even though I only had 0.5 liters. Despite all the hardships, I gave a good tip but no “thank you” or anything. Everyone can have a bad day, but this is definitely going too far. If I could give 0 stars, I would have been very happy to do so. Anyone who treats their customers like that shouldn't actually work in the catering industry...

Used the lunch break to test this restaurant. No exact food style, everything from the classic schnitzel to burgers, Mextex and Cevapcici. Good price, great quality and portion. Recommended!

I know the restaurant from before but my visit on Friday evening was very disappointing.

Every neighborhood needs an economy like Blücher's. Blücher has good food and reasonably low prices. A real upgrade for the area! The weekly menu is usually very good. There are cocktails and drinks of the week, lunch specials and always new creations. The roast pork on Sundays is legendary. The cuisine is between Bavarian, modern, Mexican and Eastern European. Everyone will find something here! A good selection of gin, whiskey or cocktails make the Blücher a nice destination even for a late visit. The furnishings at Blücher are also very nice. Lovingly designed boards with offers hang on the walls everywhere, the decoration strikes just the right balance between kitsch and simple. The paneled walls create a warm and cozy atmosphere.

More a neighborhood pub, in the best sense.

Today I went to schnitzel day with my daughter. We were really hungry and in the mood for it. There were three variants. We just wanted the Wiener-style schnitzel, but with fried potatoes instead of fries. There were fried potatoes with the farmer's schnitzel, although there would also have been bacon and a fried egg. First we had the difference between Viennese style schnitzel and Bauer schnitzel explained to us. The lady said the difference is that the farmer's schnitzel still has fried eggs and bacon. We then politely asked if it was ok if we chose the Wiener-style schnitzel with fried potatoes without any frills. She said yes and came pretty quickly to bring the food. However, the schnitzel was not Viennese style but naked, i.e. unbreaded. She argued with us when we refused it that we had ordered it that way, which was not true. We knew exactly why we went there. After a bit of back and forth, she took the plates back with her and said, now we can get our Viennese-style schnitzel but only for an extra charge - boom, normally we would have left by then. Well there was still a chance, but what was served on the plate was far from it. The fried potatoes, which were not even remotely fried, were cold, white and mushy - no roasted aroma or possibly with fried onions or even a bit attractive. So appetizing looks different. The Wiener-style schnitzel was also carelessly slapped on top. All in all it wasn't okay - it's a shame, it's a shame 😕 We just wanted a schnitzel on schnitzel day and apart from begging, arguing and then being dumped in such an unappetizing way, and on top of that having to pay for nothing, that was very annoying and doesn't give us a reason to go there again or to admit it to anyone recommend. This thumb is so low 👎

Excellent place for a breakfast

We took there a food and a coffee (Latte macchiato). The dishes were quite big, we were completely full. Also it was tasty and quite cheap. The coffee was one of the testiest, to be honest. So we enjoyed our morning there :)

I have rarely experienced such listless and arrogant service as on Thursday at Blücher. I'm a waiter myself, so I know the days when you might have a bad day, but you still don't let it out on the customer and you just work... No smile, no hello, no thanks (neither said nor shown) when tipping and in general no feeling for the job. With an attitude like that, you could work somewhere where you don't need to feel for people. It's a shame, because we've been to Blücher's several times, but I'll avoid it. At lunchtime they didn't have all the dishes from the standard menu and the ambience also leaves a lot to be desired. The soup was very fatty, which is an indication that people use the good ingredients sparingly and prefer to use a lot of fat/cream. All in all very disappointing.
