Café Bistro Jost in Bad Nauheim

Ein schöner Ort zum Verweilen an einem warmen Sommertag: ruhig, abseits des Autoverkehrs, schönes Ambiente, nahe Trinkbrunnen, Konzertmuschel und Kunstverein. Wir haben nur etwas getrunken, Kaffee und Wasser, und uns im Schatten vom Stadtbummel erholt. Es gab nur Frühstücksbuffet und daher sind wir in ein Bistro zum Essen gegangen. Freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service! Gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis!

Gerne sitze ich mit einer Freundin abends im schön gestalteten Bereich der Trinkkuranlage. Heute musste es ein koffeinfreier Kaffee mit einem Stück Frankfurter Kranz sein...beides sehr lecker, nicht zu süss, eben genau richtig.

Heute zu Zweit das Jost mittags besucht. Großen gemischten Salat gegessen. Absolut lecker. Das Café kann ich 100 %ig empfehlen.

Wir waren bei "Bad Nauheim spielt" und wollten im Café einen Kaffee trinken. Beim Eintreten wurden wir schon barsch und unfreundlich gefragt, "was wir denn wollen". Ohne eine Karte zu bekommen wurden wir dann noch im gehen zum Tisch gefragt, was wir trinken wollen. Der Kaffee kam dann schnell und war auch lecker, da gab es nichts u beanstanden. Obwohl drin kein anderer Tisch besetzt und auch draußen wenig Gäste waren, wurden kam kein einziges Mal eine Bedienung zu unserem Tisch um uns noch etwas anzubieten oder abzurechnen. Wir saßen direkt an der Theke, dahinter waren 5 Bedienungen am arbeiten. Sie kümmerten sich um dreckiges Geschirr, aber sie unterhielten sich auch und aßen den Kuchen, der verkauft wurde. Nach 45 Minuten ging ich zur Theke und bat um die Rechnung. Weitere 15 Minuten lang warteten wir, die Bedienung ging mehrmals an unserem Tisch vorbei. Ich musste nochmal aktiv auf sie zugehen, damit wir zahlen konnten. Ich wollte bar zahlen, aber aufgrund unserer Unzufriedenheit kein Trinkgeld geben. Ich bekam 20 Cent Wechselgeld, die mir die Bedienung aber nicht heraus geben konnte. Dann wollte ich mit Karte zahlen. Sie sagte, dann müsse sie alles umbuchen und ob ich nicht auf die 20 Cent verzichten könnte. Also sowas ist mir auch noch nie passiert. Unmöglich.

Ein sehr schön gelegenes Café bei den Trinkbrunnen. Herrlich im Innenhof. Hier kann man mal die kurz richtig Ruhe genießen. Die Getränke sind sehr fein und bezahlbar.

Leider gibt es gar nichts Gutes zu sagen. Ein stunde gewartet auf ein einfaches Sandwich, die dann am Ende nicht ankommt. Lieber irgendwo anders essen wo die Kunde bedient wird.

Tolles Café, ruhig, Kinderfreundlich und freundliches Personal. Also alles das, was man bei anderen vermisst.

Leider für uns keinen weiteren Besuch wert. Seit kurzem muss man für die Etagere "Jost-Tisch" 25€ pro Person bezahlen anstelle sie sich zu 2. zu teilen, weil man es alleine einfach nicht schafft. Laut Aussage der Bedienung: "das rechnet sich nicht für uns"....ja für uns dann auch nicht. Niemand alleine schafft den Inhalt , zumal das bisher kein Problem war und wir schon mehrfach zu 2. Eine Etagere bestellen konnten. Ggf. mal mehrere Varianten dieser Etagere anbieten mit einem Festpreis aber mit geregeltem Inhalt, um individuelle Mengen bestimmen zu können. Was auch bezahlbar ist.... Für uns nicht mehr!!

Eigentlich ein wunderschönes Café ,in dessen Hof man schön draussen sitzen könnte. Ich wollte gestern mit einer Freundin im Außenbereich sitzen. Es waren ca. 6 Tische besetzt und noch 10 weitere da ,die aber noch abgeschlossen waren. Auf meine Bitte hin ,doch einen Tisch auf zu schließen,hieß es ,dass ginge nicht ,man hätte nicht genug Personal. Das verstehe ich nicht ,denn innen hätten wir sitzen können und da hätte man uns ja auch bedienen müssen. Nach einiger Diskussion mit der Bedienung ,wurde ein Tisch frei ,wobei wir eigentlich keine Lust mehr hatten ,da zu bleiben. Ich habe schon mehrere negative Erfahrungen dort gemacht ,dem Cafe aber wg Seinen schönem Ambiente immer wieder eine Chance gegeben. Wir saßen dann 2 Stunden da und mussten beobachten ,wie etliche Leute sich auf die abgeschlossenen Stühle gesetzt haben und von uns informiert wurden ,dass Sie da nicht bedient werden. Zumindest könnte man dann mal ein Schild zu Information aufstellen. Ich finde es echt armselig und das war jetzt auch definitiv ,dass letzte Mal ,dass ich dort war.

Marion und ihr Team Sorgen lassen einen den Aufenthalt im Café Jost in vollen Zügen genießen. Einerseits ist das Café in der Trinkkuranlage durch die Location an sich schon etwas besonderes, vor allem die Bedienung aber sorgt dafür, dass man sich rundum wohl fühlt. Wir haben hier eine Feier ausgerichtet und waren rundum zufrieden. Die Organisation war außerordentlich professionell, das Personal aufmerksam und freundlich. Tolles Ambiente in einem Mix aus modern und klassisch. Leckere Speisen mit Hauptaugenmerk Frühstück und Café. Netter Service. Gelegentlich ist mit Wartezeiten zu rechnen, da es ein inklusives Café ist und viele Menschen mit Behinderung dort arbeiten.

Great atmosphere, delicious food, successful overall concept

I've been here four times now and have always been very satisfied. Today, December 7th at 2 PM, there was no response indicating that anyone wanted to be served. The restaurant was quiet, and the large table with a reservation was still empty. A shame! I'll still come back, though.

Coffee with cake. Delicious and I always enjoy coming back. I'm there at least once a month. I even come all the way from Frankfurt am Main. Keep it up!

We came to this café for breakfast based on the good reviews. The atmosphere was wonderful: quiet, cozy, and with fresh flowers on the tables. We ordered French toast and baked potatoes with cream sauce. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was excellent, and the staff very polite. We saw cakes in the display case, and the selection of fresh cakes was enormous. We ordered strawberry tiramisu and mango cake. They were incredibly delicious, tender, and melted in your mouth. We've never had a dessert like it, not even in France. Thank you. From now on, we'll only go there.

We celebrated our civil wedding here, and it was simply perfect! Even the planning and preliminary discussions were uncomplicated and welcoming. The selection of dishes and canapés was fantastic, and every one of our requests was fulfilled without any problems. The cake selection also delighted us and our guests. The staff was consistently super friendly, attentive, and professional, making us feel completely at home. The location is stunning and made our special day unforgettable. We held a wonderful corporate event at Café Bistro Jost at the end of June 2025. The service, food (barbecue), and drinks were excellent; the outdoor area was beautifully set up for us. The fantastic location with its beautiful courtyard and the wonderful weather contributed to the successful evening. Our guests and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

We were married at the drinking spa on May 24, 2025. Afterwards, there was a champagne reception outside at Café Jost. We are very pleased with the entire planning and execution. Of course, this comes at a price, but we really didn't have to worry about anything. We were even invited to a wine and champagne tasting a few weeks in advance. After our wedding, we hosted a champagne reception with about 30 people at Cafe Jost (including snacks) and had a fantastic time. Despite the nice weather, there was only cake in the afternoon, not even the waffles that were on the menu. Maybe it was a bad day. The cake was delicious.

The cafe has a beautiful ambience, breakfast and afternoon coffee are fine, the cake too. The big problem is the evening. Although the café is open until 8 p.m., you shouldn't expect to get something to eat in the evening as the kitchen closes at 3 p.m. It's a shame about the originally good concept, which urgently needs to be revised, because now the guests are staying away and the chef is working overtime. This is how you can ruin a really good restaurant. I also feel sorry for the highly motivated employees, the operator and the city of Bad Nauheim, who are behind this inclusion project, should urgently change something in the interests of the employees.

This café is just great – sitting outside is like a little vacation in the south of France! Mediterranean flair, relaxed atmosphere and sun on your skin. We really enjoyed the breakfast - beautifully presented, super tasty and a really good selection. And now Tacheles: Anyone who seriously complains in the reviews here and complains about the service hasn't heard the bang. Maybe read the website first before you start complaining – this is an inclusion café! How great is that? People with and without disabilities work together here – with heart and commitment. Where else do you get that? Right, almost nowhere. In some “hip” non-inclusion cafés, you get a waiter with macho airs who thinks he has to make advances on you, or you get accosted by a bad-tempered waitress as if you personally took care of your bad day. No thanks, I'd rather go here: authentic, friendly, honest. We will definitely come back because humanity, atmosphere and good food are the main focus here.

We celebrated our after wedding celebration in March in April with almost 50 people at Jost. The preliminary discussions with H. Schmitz were very friendly. The atmosphere at Jost in the drinking spa is very nice and was also very well received by our guests. We had 2 people who played music - there was absolutely enough space for dancing. We would particularly like to emphasize the friendliness of the staff. The food (buffet) was good. Overall, we were very happy to have chosen the Jost and we also received corresponding feedback from our guests.

We were there for Sunday breakfast with a table buffet. The table buffet was delicious and very lovingly put together. You can reorder anything you want between now and 2 p.m. So you should have time. Then the price is worth it! We really had a lovely time, service and ambience were also wonderful, attentive and relaxed! We'd love to come back!

Mr. Schmitz and the team actively supported us with every change we requested. Many thanks to the entire Café Jost team for making our big day so unforgettable! We went there spontaneously today after having made two previous attempts and were lucky that there was no closed company and no kitchen that was closed. I'm thrilled. But what you need to know is that it is an inclusion cafe/restaurant and it may take a little longer... Of course we'll be back and the food was very good.

Wow, that was bad. The pumpkin soup (€9.50), which was reheated upon request, tasted indefinably sour and had bacon!!!! garnished, The onion cake (€9.50) was a mess, small, one might say: thank God, came garnished with a lamb's lettuce that had seen better days. Plus a mint tea, with around 5 g of mint, served in a normal tea glass for €3.70 and a roibush tea for a total of €46. The young ladies in the service are nice, but definitely not from the specialists - I can only ask for student prices. All in all, the weakest lunch in my memory. Detention!

The cafe is simply wonderful! The inclusive atmosphere is particularly impressive – people with and without disabilities work together here. The warmth and attentiveness of the entire team is truly remarkable. The inner courtyard is a dream, full of colorful flowers, and invites you to linger. The accessibility is also particularly great: even the bathroom is equipped with an emergency button, which ensures additional safety. The waiting time was also as usual - even shorter than expected. The cakes are varied and delicious – a highlight! The café's inclusive concept is unique in the area and should definitely be better known because it shows how enriching diversity and mutual support can be in everyday life. I celebrated my 30th birthday here with 8 friends and we all loved it. We'll definitely be back!

We celebrated our wedding celebration at the end of August 2024 at Café Jost in Bad Nauheim and couldn't have asked for a better place! From the first contact to the actual celebration, everything was absolutely uncomplicated and personal. The team around the managing director Oliver was always very friendly and responded to all of our wishes, so that we felt in good hands right from the start. The wonderful atmosphere in Café Jost and the surrounding area of ​​the drinking spa was simply perfect - cozy and inviting, with attention to detail. The food and drinks were excellent. The atmosphere in Café Jost is really lovely. We sat in the beautiful courtyard. Unfortunately we weren't satisfied at all otherwise. Even though the waitress was really nice and apologized, we waited forever until we had something to drink. We were about to leave. However, the summer salad disappointed us the most. There was a small handful of salad with berries, olives and canned anchovies for €12.50. Plus a baguette from the day before. The portion wouldn't even have been enough as a starter. For the price it's outrageous. We left hungry.

After our civil wedding we had the champagne reception in Café Jost. Everything worked out wonderfully and the little appetizers were very tasty! First time here for breakfast. Friendly staff. Breakfast sufficient and attractively served. A small point of criticism: the rolls were left in the oven for too long, so they were quite hard and difficult to cut. I also mentioned it at the end and will pass it on. Even before our trip, our inquiry was handled very professionally and questions and requests for changes were answered in a friendly manner. On the day of the excursion itself, our expectations were not disappointed. Really a very nice place, reliable and friendly staff and our grill buffet was very tasty and filling. The concept of inclusion and regional food suppliers convinced us all. Our colleagues gave consistently positive feedback and we can recommend this beautiful location in the middle of Bad Nauheim to everyone.

Yes, it may sometimes take a little longer, but anyone who comes to Bistro Jost should just know that there are people there who may not always have it so easy.
