The restaurant is nice and quiet, and the food is really good. The seating is a bit uncomfortable, and the staff didn't work together very well. I don't know if I'd recommend it.

PLEASE NOTE: Payment is cash only. The food was excellent, and we didn't have to wait very long. The service was fine, but I think it could have been friendlier. There's an extensive menu and a children's menu.

Great cafe with delicious vegetarian and vegan dishes.

The best restaurant we've found in Germany that caters for vegetarians and gluten intolerance. A little slow on the service but it is the summer tourist season and the food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Another German restaurant that only takes cash so come prepared!

We didn't eat... the beer and the Aperol were perfect... but the service is important... so much passion is simply sensational... a visit is definitely worth it.....

I think the prices are rather high for the portions. The sweet potatoes were excellent. Unfortunately, the tomato soup was not tasty at all. It had far too much seasoning. They didn't bring us a child seat, but the table downstairs did shortly after. You could have asked what size portion you ordered. They simply gave us the smallest, which, of course, didn't fill us up.

Excellent bagels, backed potatoes, and wraps. Fresh, good-quality produce, well-cooked. For once, the salad is good. Finally, there are vegetarian-friendly dishes (I haven't tried them, but they looked very good).

Very tasty food (Big City Salad, Indian Chicken Wrap, Apple Fritter, and Churros), great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The best iced tea anywhere. We'll be happy to come back.

Lovely! So many vegan options, and the menu clearly states how they make the dishes vegan. We had two of the pastas and baked sweet potato and all were really good!

We're considering trying a few other items on the menu tomorrow evening. This is what restaurants will look like in 2025, hats off!

A very good selection of gluten-free and/or vegetarian and vegan dishes. The staff is well-versed in the issues and problems faced by people with celiac disease. The food and drinks were delicious.

I don't like giving bad reviews, but after the many good reviews here, I was rather disappointed with the restaurant. First the positive - the service wasn't bad and we were immediately informed that the waiting time for food was 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately we ended up waiting 40-50 minutes. If the food that is served is at least excellent, you accept such waiting times, but unfortunately that wasn't it. I enjoyed the salad, but the chips were rather disappointing (but as we all know, tastes can be debated). What disappointed me most, however, was the fact that my Special Bagel Burger didn't have the ingredients listed. According to the menu it contains beef, but in fact there was obviously lamb in it (and not the good kind, because you could smell it - ugh). Otherwise the bagel would have been good, but I don't like being "lied to". Too bad!

The food was very tasty, but there is no card payment, which is no longer possible these days and the order took 45 minutes. Otherwise everything is good.

We had a wonderful evening with dinner. We sat outside and were able to experience a Mediterranean atmosphere like in the south. The service was impeccable. Despite being advised that the food might take longer, it came quite quickly. The menu surprises with special dishes such as sweet potatoes baked with chili con carne and cheese. All in all, we would like to say a big thank you to the team and a clear recommendation.

Unfortunately we had no luck with the food but the service didn't charge us anything and was super nice. Become rare 👍🏻

Delicious pasta with wild garlic and fresh salmon salad The pasta with wild garlic was simply delicious - the spicy taste of the wild garlic complemented the sauce perfectly. The salmon in the salad was also very fresh and tasty, although I would have liked a few larger pieces. Overall, a really good dish that will definitely leave you wanting more!

Had the ice-cream here , it was absolutely fantastic.

Great atmosphere, good service. Unfortunately only cash payment is possible, but that is well communicated. The food was nothing special. Noodles were good, tofu tasteless. Goat cheese was a bit bitter, lentil patty was dry and not particularly good. Overall very expensive but unfortunately the quality doesn't deliver. The ambience and prices are upscale but unfortunately the quality of the food leaves something to be desired.

Spontaneous visit on Thursday afternoon. We were seated at a high table even though some tables were still free. Shortly after, a group stood up and the lower area was empty. We wanted to move us, the waiter had to look at the reservation book and gave us the smallest table at the corner of a stone wall facade. Food seemed pre-cooked, it also came very quickly - I think everything is prepared beforehand - everything on the menu is probably freshly cooked and takes time. Small portions overpriced. Pasta with too much oil for me, and Kaiserschmarren small portion and a bowl of applesauce 90 cents about 1.5 tablespoons in size. When I asked when paying if you were so full, he said next time he would come with a reservation. I said the shop was half empty, he said the first dinner tables opened at 5 p.m. and I shook my head, it was 3 p.m. Tables stand empty for 2 hours and customers are supposed to be squeezed into a high chair in a corner. I'm never coming back! It used to be a good shop, dear Cafe Augustin.

Delicious super crunchy and stuffed Bagel Burgers, with a tasty salad and thin, crunchy French fries to complete the dish! Welcoming and young environment, many alternatives including vegan and vegetarian ones. Friendly and helpful staff, super welcome (bowl of water and biscuit in a small sachet) for our dog. You cannot pay with the POS.

The Camembert salad was great, the Caprese salad was also good but with arugula even though it wasn't on the menu. Overall the food was good but it could have been a bit better, hence 4 out of 5 stars. The drinks were great. Service friendly.

The two of us wanted to have a drink and sit at a table. 90% of the tables were free. We couldn't be offered the most beautiful table because it was only for 3-4 people. Service not a star.

In the afternoon, despite being busy, we ate a delicious, freshly cooked meal. The service was relaxed and friendly and we felt completely at home.

The salad with Camembert, nuts, fried mushrooms, cranberries and much more. is a true dream. Large portion and a delight for the aesthetic eye! Absolutely fresh and crisp lettuce leaves. The dressing is delicious! If you want a salad, then go there again at any time. Also available in a vegan version. Service was super relaxed and accommodating. A beautiful restaurant! Absolutely excellent food! Everything is freshly prepared with (what feels like) a lot of love and tastes really fantastic! Almost all dishes are available as vegan versions. A dream for me! They also have apple strudel on the menu as standard, but they also offer very fresh cakes in a display case. Also at least one vegan option! Super! Bagels, wraps and pasta or would you rather have a salad? Here you will be looked after in a friendly, courteous manner in a relaxed atmosphere. Everything is prepared with fresh ingredients and a portion of love in teamwork. Anyone who has “difficult” (“I can’t eat that!”) children will make them happy with the children’s menu here. And even responsible dads have the opportunity to change their baby's diapers here.

A small restaurant with a focus on healthy eating and a cozy atmosphere. I particularly liked the baked sweet potatoes and the oven-baked mushrooms. There is only one minus, payment is in cash, but the savings bank is nearby.

We went to the “Großstadt” in Lindau (Island) on Paradiesplatz for the first time today, but certainly not the last time (to be honest, we booked a table again for the day after tomorrow). By the way, we can only recommend booking a table in advance. Since there aren't that many tables there, they understandably sell out quickly. For food: Plenty of choice for every taste. Whether carnivore, vegetarian or even vegan eating habits, if you don't find anything here, you can't be helped - at least from a food perspective. Even if you have food intolerances, there is always a suitable alternative suggestion. About the service: Super nice! So not so exaggeratedly or even unnaturally intrusive nice, but authentically nice. Bomb recommendations for choosing food that you can and should rely on blindly (because it just fits). About the ambience: We sat in the lower “basement area”. There are no windows, but still (or maybe because of that?) very, very cozy and inviting. Not a sterile train station atmosphere but almost a bit “private”. Regarding the price structure: Absolutely worth every cent. And sometimes, depending on the dish, almost for free. In short: If you are on holiday in Lindau (and the surrounding area) and are not necessarily looking for the typical roast with dumplings, the big city is a must for you. We'll definitely be back!

Food is very good and already prepared. But prices are also high. Unfortunately, no card payment is accepted. The outdoor area and upper area are attractive in the style of a student bar. The lower area is dark and narrow. Open electrical connections and torn nails are visible - a lack of safety.

The food itself is okay. I think the prices are generally very high or too high for all dishes. I paid €17.90 for a bagel with a small piece of chicken + a little salad and chips. That's definitely way too much for this dish.

My 70th birthday yesterday on the island was a great experience with a magical dinner at the Großstadt restaurant! Crémant D'Alsace and a delicious one Amuse bouche First course: Beef carpaccio with rocket and freshly shaved parmesan Second course: King prawns in garlic herb butter (a dream of the south) Third gear: Lamb crown in a delicious herb crust with homemade rösti and bacon beans Finally, a small dessert variant All in all, a successful birthday meal 👍 We were very enthusiastic and would like to thank the great hosts and their very courteous staff 🎩 We always look forward to being pampered at our local restaurant!

Discovered on the penultimate day of vacation. The service is super friendly and attentive. Our dogs were given a drink and a treat first, the menu is unusual in a positive sense. A special taste request was taken into account and, to be on the safe side, questioned again so that the kitchen does everything right. The prices are ok, probably because there are a lot of locals there too. The food is perfect.

The waiter made a mistake when ordering, left the wrong dish with the words "I'll leave you this" and in the end we found the wrong dish on the bill. This place will never see us again!

Nice old town cafe with outdoor area. There were four of us and we had to wait a bit until a place became available. Lindau is well attended in the summer months. The food and drinks were very tasty. The wraps are really highly recommended.

Mega delicious food and very friendly service. The colorful salad is awesome, we also had the Italia wrap, the vegetable cream pasta, the sweet potato fries and the children's portion: pasta with tomato sauce. For dessert, panna cotta and vegan tiramisu. Everyone was completely satisfied! We will be back definitely!
