The best restaurant in the whole area! The food is great, both in terms of quality and taste, you know where it comes from and it is prepared with a lot of passion and love. The spare ribs are unbeatable and you also have to eat the fries and baguette! The cozy atmosphere and a great host make the visit perfect. Absolutely recommended :)

Very dignified restaurant, you are always welcome there and the quality of the food is a 12/10. Friendly service with very good advice on his dishes. The menu is clearly laid out and all the dishes put on the table are better than promised. Extra requests such as: Mayonaise or fries are free. Further recommendation is worth it!

We were here on a Monday evening and were personally welcomed by the innkeeper. The menu was explained to us in detail. The choice fell on the mess and the spare ribs. Super delicious!!!!! Ingenious marinade, buttery tender and a generous portion. Recommended!

Mega nice chef and cook! We were a large group with many children who reserved a table here. They have set up a table with games especially for our children. And we had already prepared warm fries for our gang of robbers. The chef showed us the meat and went over the small but perfect menu with us. A perfect service and very tasty food. Reservation is recommended! You can leave the strollers at the door. (For wheelchair users: toilet is not barrier-free and it is a bit narrow)

Soooo super delicious. You can tell that the host/chef prepares his food with love and passion. He "explained" all the dishes on the menu to us, i.e. how he prepares them, where the meat comes from, how long he cooks it for, we were even allowed to see the meat from which he freshly prepares the paddy for the cheeseburger or where he got it from Salad and vegetables are sourced... Except for the burger rolls, he makes everything himself, even the ketchup and mayo, everything is incredibly tasty and fresh. My pulled pork burger was truly the best I've ever eaten. The menu is small, but we'll definitely come back often until we've tried everything. And the prices are really unbeatable. The rooms are not necessarily attractive, small and a bit old, but with the great food and the friendly host you can easily ignore that.

If you want to immerse yourself in a cool, relaxed atmosphere and simply forget about everyday life, this is the right place for you. Fabian with his cool, relaxed manner and his wonderful cooking skills is simply great.

Different than expected. The best burger of your life might be lurking in this small, old-fashioned restaurant. The menu is quite small, but told with passion by the laid-back owner/innkeeper/chef/FunkyJazzMusicLover. Almost everything is homemade and homemade. The bread is great. You have to take a bit of time and maybe not look and evaluate things too closely here and there. In any case, we had a good time there and ate sensationally well. Repeat guarantee.

Great 🍔. The best I've eaten in Germany so far and there were a few. As an American, I love burgers and this one was really good. The quality of the meat was really great and so was the topping. Had a wonderful experience here in the restaurant this evening. The food was very high quality and a taste explosion. They were the best burgers and spare ribs we have ever eaten. The ingredients compliment each other perfectly. The homemade fries are what you expect from fries, it tastes like fried potatoes. The boss and owner of the restaurant was very polite and nice. He responded to each guest personally. The card was also presented personally by him beforehand. The whole ambience in the restaurant is what you expect when you go out to eat somewhere. For us an experience that we will never forget. Thank you for that!

This little restaurant is an insider tip. We went there by chance because the mother-in-law was in rehab. Great owner. The food is mega. Spareribs, burgers, pulled pork and the shrimp are simply great. Plus the homemade bread and the great fries with the homemade mayo. Since it's a bit away from home, we combine going out to eat with a visit to the thermal baths in Bad Wildbad.

Beautiful bar in the center of Bad Wildbad, it's run by a young guy who's very kind and nice to customers, he knows what he's doing. For dinner I highly recommend the hamburger, they make it starting from the raw cut of meat (which they obviously show you first). Also serves local beer. Highly recommended!

It's unbelievable and actually scandalous that you can find by far the best burger in Germany in "Bad Wilbad"! And then in a cafe... what? Well, my first Google review absolutely deserves to go to “Cafe am Bad”

Our first impression was a rather boring atmosphere and high prices. Don't let that put you off. But we tried it anyway and it was totally worth it. Not fast food, this is art! The owner explained and even showed us the high quality ingredients!! The two dishes were both outstanding! Absolute recommendation. Gluten intolerance has been taken into account 👍

I was here at the Sommer-Heinrich Clinic 2 years ago as a patient and a fellow patient recommended it to us and every time we are here for a weekend (this is now the 3rd weekend we are here), it is a must to go by there twice. So if you like super delicious home-made food, you're in good hands here. The spare ribs are easy to put in. Delicious. 😋😋😋

The food here is incredibly good, no matter what dish you try on the menu! It's worth coming here from the Ruhr area!! It's not a run-of-the-mill restaurant. It's like being invited to your friend's house, so the place has a special atmosphere. There's always great music playing and lots of great conversations. We were both older and went to the Cafe am Bad on the recommendation of a friend. When you enter, you are surprised by the homely atmosphere of the restaurant, the books on the layout of the room and the welcome from the owner, cook and waitress all in one person. After a short apology (only part of the menu was available), the owner recommended a wine, presented the menu and presented the meat he wanted to use for our burger. We both had a cheeseburger that, in terms of taste, side dishes and fries, was really one of the best we've eaten so far. Next time we will try the spare ribs which are his specialty. The owner welcomed us very friendly right from the start: “What good can I do for you?” The recommendation of the other friendly guests about the spareribs was excellent. Even though the kitchen was actually closed, we were treated to the finest spare ribs, delicious French fries and glazed onions within 20 minutes. Marinade, onions, chips and mayonnaise were homemade and incredibly tasty. The wine recommendation rounded it all off. A very family evening with good food. A clear recommendation from me.

Not only is each dish prepared with sustainably sourced ingredients, it also has its own story. Suffused with influences of the Spanish cuisine, the food is simply supreme. And to round off their experience, guests can befriend the resident cat and dog, both of whom make for excellent company in this relaxed and joyous place.

The staff was really kind and attentive and the meal that we were served were enormous and absolutely delicious. The nice atmosphere, the music and lightning, added to the charm of the place. A beautiful and delicious place to stay at to have a nice drink and a meal!

Meiner Meinung nach der bisher mit Abstand beste Burger den ich je essen durfte! Der Pulled Pork Burger ist ein wahrer Traum ❤️ Auch die Sauerei ist zum hineinlegen. Pommes werden selber gemacht, keine TK-Ware.. Fabian, der nette, junge Betreiber und Koch ist mit Herzblut dabei und verwöhnt mit Freude die Gaumen seiner Gäste. Zufällig dort zum Essen gewesen und wurde positiv überrascht. Essen bekommt man auf höchstem Niveau, beim Burger wird eine sogar vorher das Fleisch gezeigt welches danach verarbeitet wird, spare ribs lassen sich einfach von Knochen lösen und zerflieseb fast schon. Alles selber gemacht mit viel Herz und das merkt man. Defintiv einen Besuch wert.

Sehr unscheinbar jedoch perfekt um den Abend ausklingen zu lassen. Super freundliches Personal. Das Essen ist Selbstgemacht und schmeckt fantastisch. Die Gerichte werden erklärt und die Portionen sind groß.

Kleines uriges, aber gemütliches Café/Restaurant/Bar, der Inhalber liefert eine One-Man-Show (Service/Küche) und hat uns direkt mit seiner sympathischen Art überzeugt. Das Essen (wir hatten die Spareribs) hat uns total umgehauen, alles selbstgemacht, mit Liebe zum Detail. Lasst euch nicht verwirren, dass auf manchen Platz der Haushund & -katze liegen, die beiden sind total entspannt, null aufdringlich, und runden das Ambiente perfekt ab. Wir können es nur jedem empfehlen!

Das Café am Bad bietet eine einzigartige Erfahrung: Sterneküche in einer gemütlichen Wohnzimmeratmosphäre. Das Ambiente ist sehr einladend und die außergewöhnlich kreativen Gerichte sind eine Geschmacksexplosion, wie man sie selten erlebt. Besonders empfehlenswert sind die speziell zubereiteten, eingelegten Spareribs. Der absolute Gaumenschmaus !! Der aufmerksame Service und die beeindruckende Getränkeauswahl ergänzten das Erlebnis perfekt. Insgesamt ein Juwel und Geheimtip für Feinschmecker, die eine besondere kulinarische Reise suchen.

Wooow! Noch nie so gut Burger und Pulled Pork gegessen wie hier! Pulled Pork zergeht auf der Zunge, total verspielt aufgebauter überragender Bürger und die "Sauerei", unglaublich. Da war alles drin Liebe, Herzblut und (Koch)-handwerkliches Geschick! Alles andere was ich in Bad Wildbad im Urlaub verzehrt habe war nicht annähernd auf dem Niveau! Mach weiter so, das war großartig!

We wanted to grab a bite and came to this promising restaurant. It has the absolute best view but unfortunately the restaurant is catastrophic. The tables on the terrace were full of dirty dishes and unfortunately the staff looked very unmotivated. It’s very sad to see a place with so much potential loose it’s charm because of a defective management… I can’t recommend this place.

Allucinante. In due non fanno uno. Una ragazza non parla che tedesco. Chiedi di poter usare il Wi-Fi per tradurre il menu ma non te lo danno. Cibo scadente. Coca-Cola versata da bottiglia di plastica aperta e quindi sgasata. Ci saranno 4 anime in croce e non sanno dare informazioni sulle attrazioni turistiche. Insomma , un disastro.

Wir waren an Neujahr auf dem Sommerberg und da das Restaurant Auerhahn geschlossen hatte, haben wir uns entschlossen einen Kaffee im Sommerberg Hotel Aussichtsrestaurant trinken zu gehen. mhmh was für ein Reinfall... das einzige positive daran war die Aussicht aber das wars auch schon alles und der nette Herr welche ein 2te Kaffeemaschine gebracht hatte. negativ: - als wir reingekommen sind ein abartiger Gestank( kann es leider nicht anders bezeichnen) von altem Fett und Essen, welcher sich extrem in der Kleidung absetzt - keine Überprüfung der Coronaregeln, jeder kann rein und sich setzten, selbst beim Abkassieren wird nicht danach gefragt - Selbstbedienung, was an sich nichts schlechtes ist aber dafür knapp 30 Minuten zu warten waren 3 Gäste vor mir sind und einfach unorganisiert gearbeitet wird, ist einfach schlecht und ineffizient !!! PS es war nicht viel los, es waren 3-4 Tische besetzt, also nichts für die Größe des Lokals. - Boden extrem verdreckt, verklebt und überall Tannennadeln verstreut. - Toiletten unterirdisch---gehen Sie besser in den Busch, da ist es hygienischer und Sie haben frische Luft. - Restaurant verstaubt und speckig, an der Kuchenvitrine zentimeterhohe Staubschicht, Getränkevitrine wird nicht gekühlt und riecht unangenehm - Essen steht in einer Art Warmhaltetheke ohne Spukschutz und etliche Gäste sind daran vorbei und haben dies aus der Nähe angeschaut, das arme vertrocknete Schnitzel mit Spätzlen und glaube Soße ?? und lätschigen Salat, aber tada es wurde bestellt und so ausgegeben an Gäste. Puh..... Wirklich wirklich sehr schade für so ein Restaurant mit einer so tollen Lage, und ich glaube es war ja auch in den 80er eines der besten Restaurants im Umkreis, aber davon ist heute absolut nichts mehr übrig. An Feiertagen wie Neujahr ( es war strahlender Sonnenschein) hätte es voll sein können mit Tagesgästen ( egal ob Corona oder nicht, andere Restaurants waren auch voll mit Hygieneregeln) aber das Sommerberg Aussichtsrestaurant eben nicht,.....

Teuer ohne entsprechende Gegenleistung. Aussicht schön aber wenn die Qualität der speisen nicht passt

Sehr Dreckig wurde seit langem nicht geputzt. Sind gleich wieder raus. Es riecht auch sehr vermodert und wirkt extrem ungepflegt.

Wir erhielten eine Einladung mit einem Gutschein bei der Ankunft der Standseilbahn und dachten uns, es wäre schön, den Ausblick bei leichtem Nieselregen überdacht und bei einem Getränk zu genießen. Die bestellte Erbsensuppe dauerte sehr lange und schmeckte höchst eigenartig, die Erbsen hatten z.T. noch eine knackige Härte. Die Trinkbecher wirkten mit ihrem inneren Rand am Boden nicht gerade hygienisch. Die Tische waren z.T. stark verschmutzt, ebenso die Stühle. Kein Ort, um sich wohl zu fühlen, es wirkt heruntergekommen wie der benachbarte (ehemalige) Hotelbau - schade.

Bitte dieses Lokal unbedingt vermeiden. Sind rein gelaufen und gleich wieder raus. Uns ist vom Anblick der Tische schon schlecht geworden.

Im vorderen Bereich gute Aussicht ins Tal, leider ist das Lokal ziemlich heruntergekommen, die Möbel sind abgenutzt, das Essen ist nicht besonders gut, es war auch nicht gut beheizt, für die Preise haette ich was Besseres erwartet, zumal es Selbstbedienung ist

Die Aussicht ist sehr schön. Die Kuchen und Torten sind größtenteils von Aldi. Die Schwarzwälder Kirschtorte wird auf Wunsch mit der Sprühflasche alkoholisiert. Ich habe meinen Augen kaum getraut. Der Wein, zumindest der Weiße Burgunder ist ebenfalls von Aldi. Da gibt es Dich für Gastronomen andere Möglichkeiten. Gerade in dieser Gegend, wo man quasi an der Quelle sitzt, erwarte ich regionale typische Produkte von Einheimischen und keine Discounterware. Sehr schade.

Wir waren als Gruppe unter der Woche zu einer kurzen Einkehr dort, bevor wir mit der Bergbahn ins Tal fuhren. Wir mussten uns an der Theke in Selbstbedienung anstellen. Auf diese Weise dauerte es sehr sehr lange, bis jeder von uns sein Getränk, seinen Kuchen oder Eisbecher vor sich hatte. Auch die Toilettenanlage war für die Größe des Lokals zu klein dimensioniert. Das Beste an diesem Haus ist die grandiose Aussicht von der Terrasse. Ach ja: Wir waren im Juni 2018 dort, das lässt such leider nicht mehr ins System eingeben.

Mooi uitzicht! Jammer dat ze zeiden dat het pinnen niet gelukt was waardoor ik achteraf zag dat ik dubbel betaald heb. Ze wilden het oplossen maar het geld ondanks aandringen nooit meer gezien.

Leider kann ich die Lokalität nicht empfehlen unser Salat war nicht richtig gewaschen jedes Salatblatt mit Sand oder Erde behaftet das es zwischen den Zähnen knirschte und ein Teil war welk. Das Schnitzel war Tod gebraten der Rest ging so.

Lokalität etwas verlottert - was noch nichts heißen muss. Aber die Hose des Küchenchefs (?) ist von vorne bis hinten versauc'st (hoffentlich ist es Sauce...). Die restlichen Cucarachas sehen ähnlich aus. Essen und Trinken abholen am Tresen: 70er Jahre Keramikbecher statt Gläser für Bier und Wasser - und die werden auf den Spülbürsten in der lauen Spülbrühe geschwenkt und nicht in der Maschine gewaschen. Man möchte sich nicht ausmalen, was hier ein einziger winzig kleiner Norovirus anrichten kann. Das Fräulein an der Getränkeausgabe hat drei Zentimeter lange Nägel und nun gar keine Lust freundlich zu sein. Sie kassiert, schenkt ein und spült wohl auch zwischendurch die Humpen. Systemgastronomie durchdacht: Kassiert wird vor Essensausgabe. Speisen: Linsen-Würstchen-Eintopf ungeklärter Provenienz - verzehrt werden drei Löffel. Schnitzel mit Pommes und Salat: Kartoffelsalat mit randständigen Alterserscheinungen, Koch streift sich bei Zubereitung vor Hungrigem Kunden erst durchs Haar, dann durch die Salatblätter. Hunger verflogen. Zwei mal abschneiden - es reicht. Gebuttertes Schinkenbrot fürs Kind (vorgeschnitten Brot aus dem Plastikschlauch vom Diskounter, Butter hoffentlich aus dem aktuellen Jahr aber dafür goldgelb). Instinktiv wird nur der Schinken verzehrt. Ganz ehrlich: Dass es so was gibt! Eine Touristenfalle wie in Asien. Auch für nicht wirklich teuer wirklich, wirklich schlecht. Und die Gäste sollen abräumen – aber wollen nicht, weil die Teller auch nach dem Essen noch voll sind. Ich habe mich als Schwarzwälder vor den Ausland-Touris geschämt – auch dafür, dass wir nicht auf dem Absatz kehrt gemacht haben, als wir hereinkamen.
