Ordered once with my parents. The food there was very tasty. Ordered Pita Feta today and picked it up. Also very tasty. Very nice employees. I can only recommend the store!

This restaurant can really be recommended without reservation. After a warm welcome, you are led into a very cozy and warm room that gives you a peaceful feeling from the first moment. The very friendly and attentive service immediately provides you with drinks and a menu that leaves nothing to be desired. The selection of vegetarian dishes is particularly impressive. The dishes are excellent, optimally cooked and very well seasoned. When I think of the taste, the word “harmonious” comes to mind repeatedly. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are perfect. I don't like "rolling out" of a restaurant, which isn't the case here, but you still feel full. A small dessert - a semolina dish with rose water (very interesting) - rounds off the visit as a little treat. We'll be back - definitely.

The Byblos restaurant offers a wonderful journey into the world of the Orient. The menu is varied and authentic. The dishes are lovingly prepared and full of flavors typical of oriental cuisine. The service is friendly and attentive, the atmosphere is cozy and stylish. Overall, an excellent place to enjoy oriental cuisine in a relaxed atmosphere. All in all, highly recommended!

The best restaurant in Giessen, there's really nothing else to write about

It was okay. A bit small for the price. The rice was mushy. The food was a bit sparingly seasoned. It was very cold in the dining room.

Really not recommended with delivery service. We waited 2 hours for our food. After calling twice, we were assured that the driver would be there soon and that they would be completely overwhelmed. The Lieferando page said 30-55 minutes, which was also known to the staff. I would have expected at least one call to inform us about the delay. It was a shame that we were already dissatisfied before we could even try the food. This was very tasty 😋

Four of us ate here and were very satisfied. The starters and main courses arrived within a reasonable waiting time, were properly portioned and very tasty. The service was friendly and the ambience was also great. Even if you're a vegetarian or vegan you'll get your money's worth. The price-performance ratio is very fair, keep it up! 🌟

We came here with a large group of 6 adults + 5 children without prior reservation and it was great. Despite no reservation, tables and chairs were moved and everything was done to make us feel comfortable. Thank you very much for the warm support and the great food. Unfortunately we only made it to the main course (we were full) and will definitely be back soon to try the dessert too. Absolute recommendation, not just for those who decide at short notice!

We went in spontaneously with a larger group and were given a very friendly welcome. The food is really very tasty and the portion sizes "roll out" because there was so much. The service is really more than great. When we are in Giessen again, we will definitely come back.

I've been living here in Giessen for two years and was here for the first time today. I can say it is truly the tastiest thing I have ever eaten in Giessen. We ordered the warm and cold platter and there was NOTHING that wasn't tasty. We'll be back next week!!!

I absolutely love this little cute and authentic restaurant. The food tastes authentic and a lot of effort has been put into decorating everything beautifully and elegantly. The service is extremely attentive and always friendly. You notice the great quality of the food from the first bite. The starters are seasoned and prepared exactly as they should be in Arabic/Greek cuisine, no modified “modern” dishes - everything is really authentic. Would go there again at any time. Thanks for the good food, we felt very comfortable and will be back soon 😊

We had the chicken pita and lamb pita as well as the hummus- all of the ingredients were fresh and melted in our mouth! The restaurant is exceptionally well decorated and the bathroom (as well as the restaurant) is so clean!!! We also got a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal which was delicious. The owner was so kind and friendly- a top-notch experience overall!

Amazing experience and food! Came here with a friend for lunch - I had the chicken pitta and we shared the hummus beiruti as an appetizer and got a semolina dessert. The meals were served very quickly and were so fresh and authentic. Honestly the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a while! The service was incredibly friendly and the dining room was decorated very tastefully. Highly recommend stopping by if in Gießen :)

On our way through we decided to have a snack at this restaurant. We didn't regret it. Very tasty food (we had chicken feta schwarma plate), good portions and all at fair prices, served by a nice waitress. An absolute 5* recommendation.

You sit comfortably if you ignore the giant screens on which nature videos are playing in a continuous loop. There are the BEST STARTERS, SALADS, BREAD there is. There were 7 of us, all the main courses were great except for the 3 with chicken which were a bit dry. All the people who work there are very, very friendly. At the end there was a dessert from the house. Thank you very much for the lovely evening.

Inconspicuous from the outside and totally beautiful from the inside. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We spontaneously wanted to go out for lunch and decided on Byblos. We ordered the grill plate for 2 people and it was incredibly tasty!! The lamb and chicken were so good! The hummus was also incredible, as was the salad with the bread in it! Were both surprised 🫶 The service was also really great and attentive. Definitely coming back!!

We went to the restaurant on Friday evening after making a reservation by phone. There were enough places available, but since the reviews are good I recommend booking in advance. The service was very courteous and we were shown to our seat. It's worth mentioning that the owners were waiting outside on chairs and smoking. Personally it didn't bother me. The drinks arrived quickly and the homemade lemonade was really good and not too sweet! The atmosphere is typically Greek, everything is clean and modern. There is air conditioning, which is really great on summer days. After consultation, a different temperature can also be set. It went well for us because we were alone there. About the food: We took the chicken feta shawarma plate twice and were very happy with this choice. The feta was the best we've tasted to date. The chicken gyro wasn't too dry and the fries were well done - everything was perfect. The only thing that can be criticized is the amount of tzatziki, after two forks it was gone. :) We will definitely come back!

We spontaneously went to Byblos on a Sunday afternoon. There is a good vegan selection and the food, in my case a wrap, was super tasty. You can make wraps very boring or something like that in Byblos. Crispy on the outside, with lots of vegetables, delicious hummus and fresh herbs on the inside, including mint. Bravo to the chef. The Byblos is a surprise bag. From the outside it looks like an inconspicuous snack bar, but when you go in you find yourself in a small restaurant that is very attractive and cozy. A plus point for the summer is air conditioning. The food was incredibly tasty and, in our opinion, pretty cheap. Highly Recommended!

We ate there twice in total. Once in the restaurant and once ordered and picked up. It tastes great. On site we had a shared starter and each a main course. As a takeaway we had a large cold appetizer platter for 2 people. Everything was fresh and homemade and the pita was freshly grilled when picked up. A clear 10/10! We are very excited!

I got something for the first time today. Seemed to be very stressful, I didn't receive any fried potatoes or tzatziki with my special grill plate. The fries and the coleslaw were very few, 11 pieces in proportion to the entire portion of food. Humus really doesn't go well with this. Damn small as a dipping portion. For 20 euros I expect a little more.

Nice menu with many exciting dishes, which unfortunately you can't try all at once. Very friendly treatment from our hosts. Very spectacular ambience in blue and gold, not least thanks to the touches of gold on the antique wall reliefs. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back! Tip: Kutle, the dumplings with minced filling. The food was super tasty, very inconspicuous place, at first you might think it was just a snack bar. Price/performance is great, the service was very friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. It was really busy, we were happy and didn't think it was that bad. We'll definitely come back.

There is absolutely NOTHING to complain about. We haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. Everything fresh, beautifully prepared, friendly service. We didn't finish everything and were allowed to take the leftovers with us. We can't give a recommendation as to what was best because everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not a big fan of oriental food but I was really impressed with this one!

Wanted to eat here to break the fast during Ramadan. Reserved a table, got a card and then - like the couple at the next table - was ignored for 20 minutes. Then left without the employees even noticing.

Incredibly many starters to choose from. Everything, including the main course, tasted delicious. Very special spices. Rich, inexpensive. Nice facility, well maintained. Super nice service. If we lived here we would be regular customers.

The starters and main courses are very tasty! The dips are a great change from tzatziki etc. You can choose between fries and saffron rice. All employees are very friendly. A reservation probably makes sense on the weekend.

Unfortunately the shawarma was very dry. The grilled cheese was too dominant and the rest was unfortunately bland.

Cool friendly atmosphere, the chefs prepare the food very well, perhaps better than anyone in the world. The toilet is better than in the Bundestag. The interior is excellent, in ancient Greek style. The columns are fascinating, of course not as old as the Greek ones, but they look great. As for the food: you can order a plate for one person and eat it together, very very large portions, always fresh food, I can recommend everyone to try the desserts here, out of the three desserts I still haven’t decided which one is better

I had the pleasure of visiting the Byblos Restaurant in Giessen and I was completely impressed. As soon as you enter the restaurant it becomes clear: external appearances are very deceptive. From the outside it may seem like an ordinary snack bar, but inside Byblos turns out to be a real palace. This surprise was the first of many positive impressions. The owner of the restaurant deserves special praise. His helpfulness and courteousness when choosing our dishes made our evening something special. Given the extensive menu, we felt slightly overwhelmed, but the owner suggested several delicacies that exceeded all our expectations. One tip that I've decided to keep in mind every time I go to a restaurant: ask for the chef's recommendations. This decision turned out to be ingenious and led to a real taste experience. The hospitality at Byblos Restaurant is truly remarkable. The staff was courteous and attentive without being intrusive. We felt warmly welcomed and well looked after. Despite our normally conscious diet, we threw all concerns overboard that day. The food at Byblos was incredibly delicious, without exception. Every bite was a sensory delight and we were impressed by the variety of flavors. The Byblos is also reasonably priced. The quality of the food completely justifies the expense. Another plus point was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything was spotless and even the toilets had a pleasant atmosphere. I come from Potsdam, and although the journey to Gießen is not exactly short, I will definitely visit Byblos Restaurant again. The gastronomic experience combined with the warm atmosphere makes the visit worth the trip. In summary, I can only describe the Byblos Restaurant in Giessen as a real insider tip. It is a true pearl that impresses not only with its external appearance, but above all with its excellent cuisine and warm hospitality.

The staff is extremely nice. You feel very welcome and enjoy the living room atmosphere. A tiny mistake by the apparently new service person was excused with a small greeting for a drink. Wow. Thanks for a nice evening! The only point of criticism: Some dishes on the menu were crossed out - that doesn't look good and I would recommend reprinting/updating the menu. And finally, praise for the nice and clean toilets!

We became aware of the restaurant through the voucher book, otherwise we would not have visited it. Rather inconspicuous from the outside, more of a snack bar or pick-up restaurant. Inside, however, a very nice and pleasant restaurant. The food was excellent in taste and quality and the service was super friendly and good all around. It was really a very pleasant surprise!

Lots of vegan dishes on the menu♡ The food was fresh and very tasty (falafel sandwich). Unfortunately, the atmosphere is rather uncomfortable, although it is nicely decorated. But it is very bright and therefore does not create a relaxed atmosphere. Staff tried hard and friendly. Clear recommendation!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal dort und wurden herzlich empfangen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, besonders das Muhamara hat uns verzaubert. Mit dem Servive waren wir ebenfalls sehr zufrieden. Wir werden hier in nächster Zeit öfters Essen gehen. Das Restaurant ist wärmstens zu empfehlen, auch für Vegetarier/innen und Veganer/innen.

Ausgesprochen leckere Libanesische Küche mit einer Vielzahl von lohnenswerten Vorspeisen (auch vegetarisch) und auf den Punkt gegrillten Fleischspezialitäten. Der Byblos-Spezialteller für zwei Personen kommt mit einer fruchtig-minzigen Salatkreation mit hauchdünnen frittierten Fladenbrotstückchen. Zart gegrilltes Fleisch mit würzigen orientalischen Noten, dazu aromatische, in Knoblauch und Petersilie gebackene Kartoffelwürfel, saftiger Reis und drei Sorten Dips (Hummus, Tomaten-Paprika- und Auberginen-Creme. Die Portion ist reichlich für zwei Personen. Hausgemachte Limonade – besonders Himbeere und Mango sind zu empfehlen. Insgesamt gute Getränkeauswahl. Hervorragendes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Ist einen Abstecher nach Gießen wert!

Leckeres Essen und sehr sympathische Gastgeber.

Die Byblos Platte für zwei Personen war wirklich sehr feines Essen. Von Vorspeise ist hier gar nicht mehr zu reden. Es waren ausreichende und sehr leckere Speisen. Frittierte Auberginen, Kartoffelwürfel, frittierter Blumenkohl, Falafel, dazu diverse passende Saußen. Außerdem hatten wir noch Frites und Safranreis. Hätte für zwei Personen gar nicht mehr unbedingt sein müssen. Insgesamt außerordentlich leckeres (veganes) Essen. Das Ambiente war sehr schön Die Bedienung war besonders freundlich und zuvorkommend.

War dort Essen mit meiner kleinen Clique und das Essen dort war sagenhaft lecker 😍 Sowohl Fleischgerichte bis zu Veganengerichte explodiert es vor lauter Gaumenschmaus. Bezahlbar ist es auf jeden Fall! Das sollte man sich nicht entgehen lassen. Besuche ich gerne wieder!

Mega leckeres Essen, alles frisch zubereitet und sehr höflicher und netter Service. Preis-/ Leistung passt. Ambiente okay, Etwas störend: durch die offene Küche haben alle Klamotten sehr sehr stark nach Küche gerochen.

Hier gibt es unglaublich leckere vegane Speisen. Zwar kein komplett veganes Restaurant, aber die Auswahl ist trotzdem vielfältig. Das Essen wird wunderschön angerichtet und serviert, der Service ist freundlich. Man sitzt im Inneren des Restaurants sehr angenehm, auch wenn es von Aussen eher unscheinbar wirkt. Das vegane Dessert ist relativ neu auf der Karte. Meine Freundin und ich fanden es wundervoll! Ein fluffiges, blumiges Kokoswölkchen mit Pistazien. Hummus und Auberginencreme waren auch ein Traum. Alles, was ich bisher dort probiert habe, war köstlich. Vielen dank und weiter so.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr gutes Essen und super nettes Personal

Wir hatten die Vegane Platte (kalt/warm) für zwei Personen. Es war sehr lecker und reichlich. Wir wurden sehr freundlich und aufmerksam bedient. Das Ambiente im Sitzbereich ist sehr ruhig und gemütlich. Es war unser erster Besuch und mit Sicherheit nicht der Letzte :-)

Eine super amüsante Fahrt nach Gießen mit einem Zwischenstopp bei dem bezaubernden Byblos Restaurant mit einem tadellosen Geschmack und orientalischen style. Die Pause hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Hoffentlich bis bald.

Sehr leckeres Essen, die Grillgerichte fantastisch, die Knoblauchcreme ist grandios. Wir wurden sehr nett und herzlich empfangen. Wenn wir wieder in Gießen sind, kommen wir aufjedenfall wieder!

Sehr netter Gastgeber, der uns bei der Essensauswahl gut beraten hat und auch auf besondere Wünsche (nussfrei, größerer Portion) gut eingehen konnte. In der Byblos Platte sind sämtliche warme und kalte Vorspeisen enthalten sodass man sich einmal komplett ausprobieren kann. Sehr gute vegane und vegetarische Auswahl, aber alles natürlich (ohne Fleischalternativen). Von außen her ähnelt es zwar zuerst an einen Falafelimbiss, allerdings ist hinten eine echt schön dekorierte, stilvolle Ecke zum Sitzen und Genießen. Der Preis ist echt in Ordnung für den Service. Ich komme gerne wieder!
