Best Syrian cuisine I know in the area, clean and very well maintained. The staff is super friendly and warm. Would recommend everyone to try it.

A small but very fine restaurant. Everything tasted excellent and very well seasoned. The restaurant is unassuming from the outside, but surprises inside with a really chic ambience. We had the large grill plate 27, which was very tasty. We liked the lamb best. Normally I don't like lamb at all. It was tender and aromatic. Small constructive criticism: The waitress could be a bit friendlier and more accommodating and you have to bring your time. We waited about 45 minutes - 1 hour for our food. The information that you definitely have to make a reservation should be noted on the website or on Google.

Very inconspicuous piece of jewelry. From the outside it looked a bit like a diner. It is very comfortable in the back. Service was friendly and always on hand. Starters and main courses were very tasty. See you again 👍🏻

Conclusion: Highly recommended. We got to know Byblos for the first time today and will definitely come back more often! The food is fresh and tastes great! What isn't visible from the outside is that in the back there is a very nice, cozy area to stay. Many vegan dishes, but there is something for everyone.

The food in this restaurant was simply outstanding - I have rarely eaten so well! The portions were generous and as a good eater I was more than full. In addition, the service was extremely friendly and attentive, which rounded off the experience perfectly.

Small but fine restaurant which from the outside looks more like a snack bar. But when you enter the restaurant you feel like you are in the Orient. It smells of spices. Menu typically Lebanese I can highly recommend the starter variation. Unfortunately, Lebanese beer was sold out, I would have liked to try it. We enjoyed it very much. If we are in Giessen again we will come back. Highly recommended

This restaurant can really be recommended without reservation. After a warm welcome, you are led into a very cozy and warm room that gives you a peaceful feeling from the first moment. The very friendly and attentive service immediately provides you with drinks and a menu that leaves nothing to be desired. The selection of vegetarian dishes is particularly impressive. The dishes are excellent, optimally cooked and very well seasoned. When I think of the taste, the word “harmonious” comes to mind repeatedly. The prices are more than reasonable and the portions are perfect. I don't like "rolling out" of a restaurant, which isn't the case here, but you still feel full. A small dessert - a semolina dish with rose water (very interesting) - rounds off the visit as a little treat. We'll be back - definitely.

We came here with a large group of 6 adults + 5 children without prior reservation and it was great. Despite no reservation, tables and chairs were moved and everything was done to make us feel comfortable. Thank you very much for the warm support and the great food. Unfortunately we only made it to the main course (we were full) and will definitely be back soon to try the dessert too. Absolute recommendation, not just for those who decide at short notice!

Four of us ate here and were very satisfied. The starters and main courses arrived within a reasonable waiting time, were properly portioned and very tasty. The service was friendly and the ambience was also great. Even if you're a vegetarian or vegan you'll get your money's worth. The price-performance ratio is very fair, keep it up! 🌟

Really not recommended with delivery service. We waited 2 hours for our food. After calling twice, we were assured that the driver would be there soon and that they would be completely overwhelmed. The Lieferando page said 30-55 minutes, which was also known to the staff. I would have expected at least one call to inform us about the delay. It was a shame that we were already dissatisfied before we could even try the food. This was very tasty 😋

I've been living here in Giessen for two years and was here for the first time today. I can say it is truly the tastiest thing I have ever eaten in Giessen. We ordered the warm and cold platter and there was NOTHING that wasn't tasty. We'll be back next week!!!

I absolutely love this little cute and authentic restaurant. The food tastes authentic and a lot of effort has been put into decorating everything beautifully and elegantly. The service is extremely attentive and always friendly. You notice the great quality of the food from the first bite. The starters are seasoned and prepared exactly as they should be in Arabic/Greek cuisine, no modified “modern” dishes - everything is really authentic. Would go there again at any time. We had the chicken pita and lamb pita as well as the hummus- all of the ingredients were fresh and melted in our mouth! The restaurant is exceptionally well decorated and the bathroom (as well as the restaurant) is so clean!!! We also got a complimentary dessert at the end of our meal which was delicious. The owner was so kind and friendly- a top-notch experience overall!

Amazing experience and food! Came here with a friend for lunch - I had the chicken pitta and we shared the hummus beiruti as an appetizer and got a semolina dessert. The meals were served very quickly and were so fresh and authentic. Honestly the best Mediterranean food I’ve had in a while! The service was incredibly friendly and the dining room was decorated very tastefully. Highly recommend stopping by if in Gießen :)

On our way through we decided to have a snack at this restaurant. We didn't regret it. Very tasty food (we had chicken feta schwarma plate), good portions and all at fair prices, served by a nice waitress. An absolute 5* recommendation.

You sit comfortably if you ignore the giant screens on which nature videos are playing in a continuous loop. There are the BEST STARTERS, SALADS, BREAD there is. There were 7 of us, all the main courses were great except for the 3 with chicken which were a bit dry. All the people who work there are very, very friendly. At the end there was a dessert from the house. Thank you very much for the lovely evening.

Inconspicuous from the outside and totally beautiful from the inside. The restaurant is nicely decorated. We spontaneously wanted to go out for lunch and decided on Byblos. We ordered the grill plate for 2 people and it was incredibly tasty!! The lamb and chicken were so good! The hummus was also incredible, as was the salad with the bread in it! Were both surprised 🫶 The service was also really great and attentive. Definitely coming back!!

We went to the restaurant on Friday evening after making a reservation by phone. There were enough places available, but since the reviews are good I recommend booking in advance. The service was very courteous and we were shown to our seat. It's worth mentioning that the owners were waiting outside on chairs and smoking. Personally it didn't bother me. The drinks arrived quickly and the homemade lemonade was really good and not too sweet! The atmosphere is typically Greek, everything is clean and modern. There is air conditioning, which is really great on summer days. After consultation, a different temperature can also be set. It went well for us because we were alone there. About the food: We took the chicken feta shawarma plate twice and were very happy with this choice. The feta was the best we've tasted to date. The chicken gyro wasn't too dry and the fries were well done - everything was perfect. The only thing that can be criticized is the amount of tzatziki, after two forks it was gone. :) We will definitely come back!

We spontaneously went to Byblos on a Sunday afternoon. There is a good vegan selection and the food, in my case a wrap, was super tasty. You can make wraps very boring or something like that in Byblos. Crispy on the outside, with lots of vegetables, delicious hummus and fresh herbs on the inside, including mint. Bravo to the chef. The Byblos is a surprise bag. From the outside it looks like an inconspicuous snack bar, but when you go in you find yourself in a small restaurant that is very attractive and cozy. A plus point for the summer is air conditioning. The food was incredibly tasty and, in our opinion, pretty cheap. Highly Recommended!

We ate there twice in total. Once in the restaurant and once ordered and picked up. It tastes great. On site we had a shared starter and each a main course. As a takeaway we had a large cold appetizer platter for 2 people. Everything was fresh and homemade and the pita was freshly grilled when picked up. A clear 10/10! We are very excited!

I got something for the first time today. Seemed to be very stressful, I didn't receive any fried potatoes or tzatziki with my special grill plate. The fries and the coleslaw were very few, 11 pieces in proportion to the entire portion of food. Humus really doesn't go well with this. Damn small as a dipping portion. For 20 euros I expect a little more.

Nice menu with many exciting dishes, which unfortunately you can't try all at once. Very friendly treatment from our hosts. Very spectacular ambience in blue and gold, not least thanks to the touches of gold on the antique wall reliefs. Thank you, we'll be happy to come back! Tip: Kutle, the dumplings with minced filling. The food was super tasty, very inconspicuous place, at first you might think it was just a snack bar. Price/performance is great, the service was very friendly, but a bit overwhelmed. It was really busy, we were happy and didn't think it was that bad. We'll definitely come back.

There is absolutely NOTHING to complain about. We haven't eaten something so delicious in a long time. Everything fresh, beautifully prepared, friendly service. We didn't finish everything and were allowed to take the leftovers with us. We can't give a recommendation as to what was best because everything was absolutely delicious. I'm not a big fan of oriental food but I was really impressed with this one!

Wanted to eat here to break the fast during Ramadan. Reserved a table, got a card and then - like the couple at the next table - was ignored for 20 minutes. Then left without the employees even noticing.

The starters and main courses are very tasty! The dips are a great change from tzatziki etc. You can choose between fries and saffron rice. All employees are very friendly. A reservation probably makes sense on the weekend.

Cool friendly atmosphere, the chefs prepare the food very well, perhaps better than anyone in the world. The toilet is better than in the Bundestag. The interior is excellent, in ancient Greek style. The columns are fascinating, of course not as old as the Greek ones, but they look great. The owner of the restaurant deserves special praise. His helpfulness and courteousness when choosing our dishes made our evening something special. Given the extensive menu, we felt slightly overwhelmed, but the owner suggested several delicacies that exceeded all our expectations. One tip that I've decided to keep in mind every time I go to a restaurant: ask for the chef's recommendations. This decision turned out to be ingenious and led to a real taste experience. The hospitality at Byblos Restaurant is truly remarkable. The staff was courteous and attentive without being intrusive. We felt warmly welcomed and well looked after. Despite our normally conscious diet, we threw all concerns overboard that day. The food at Byblos was incredibly delicious, without exception. Every bite was a sensory delight and we were impressed by the variety of flavors. The Byblos is also reasonably priced. The quality of the food completely justifies the expense. Another plus point was the cleanliness of the restaurant. Everything was spotless and even the toilets had a pleasant atmosphere. I come from Potsdam, and although the journey to Gießen is not exactly short, I will definitely visit Byblos Restaurant again. The gastronomic experience combined with the warm atmosphere makes the visit worth the trip. In summary, I can only describe the Byblos Restaurant in Giessen as a real insider tip. It is a true pearl that impresses not only with its external appearance, but above all with its excellent cuisine and warm hospitality.

The staff is extremely nice. You feel very welcome and enjoy the living room atmosphere. A tiny mistake by the apparently new service person was excused with a small greeting for a drink. Wow. Thanks for a nice evening! The only point of criticism: Some dishes on the menu were crossed out - that doesn't look good and I would recommend reprinting/updating the menu. And finally, praise for the nice and clean toilets!
