Wir hatten einen schönen Abend bei Byblos. Das Restaurant sieht von außen eher unscheinbar aus, ist aber von innen sehr nett und dazu sehr sauber. Das Essen war auch sehr lecker (vor allem viel vegane/vegetarische Auswahl) und die Bedienung sehr zuvorkommend. Wir würden wieder kommen :)

Ich bin mittlerweile Stammkunde im Byblos – obwohl ich bisher immer nur bestellt und das Essen abgeholt habe. Vom Essen wurde ich noch kein einziges Mal enttäuscht! Besonders hervorheben möchte ich den fantastischen Service und die Mitarbeiter: Ihr seid einfach super lieb, zuvorkommend und empathisch. Macht weiter so!

Ich lebe seit anderthalb Jahren in Deutschland und habe überall nach dem Geschmack meiner Heimat gesucht. Ich war in vielen verschiedenen Restaurants, aber keines war so gut wie dieses hier in Gießen. Das ist das beste Essen, das ich seit meiner Ankunft in Deutschland gegessen habe! Der Geschmack kommt der Heimat unglaublich nah, alles ist authentisch und perfekt zubereitet. Wer echtes, hochwertiges libanesisches Essen sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Nach einem zweistündigen Aufenthalt kann ich sagen: Sehr leckeres Essen - (wenn man mag) die perfekte Kombi aus frisch und frittiert. Ich kann nur empfehlen mehrere Sachen auszuprobieren (vor allem die Dips und Salate!). Das Ambiente ist auch sehr gemütlich und es ist sogar klimatisiert. Der Service war einsame spitze, wir haben uns sehr wohl und gut aufgehoben gefühlt.

Edit 01/2026 Ich kann nur sagen wie mein Essen an diesem Tag war, wir hatten das meiste Essen auf dem Teller liegen lassen. Eventuell bin ich durch andere Restaurants auch verwöhnt, aber ein "soll ich noch Brot nachbringen" ist für mich etwas anderes als "möchten Sie noch Brot nachbestellen". Das sie keinen Grillspieß mehr haben würde ich nicht als kulinarischen Fortschritt werten. Ich kann nur sagen das ich selten so enttäuscht von einem Restaurant Besuch war. Edit 12/2025 Wir waren nach unserem erneuten Besuch sehr enttäuscht. Einzig der Hummus und das Tzatziki waren gut. Der Wirt hat gefragt ob er noch Brot nachbringen soll (ein kleines pitta), das fand sich prommt auf der Rechnung wieder. Das Muhmara hat wie Ajvar mit Walnüssen geschmeckt, das "Lamm" eher wie ein altes Schaf, der Krautsalat hat mich an gekauften aus dem Supermarkt erinnert und war auch nicht lecker. Das Shawarma war nicht vom Spieß, es war auffällig in pommesform geschnitten, ähnlich wie das vorgegarte für Salat das man manchmal im Supermarkt bekommt, die Würzung war nicht lecker. Die Pommes und die gegrillte grüne Paprika waren okay. Die Preise sind eher gehoben, dafür war es wirklich sehr enttäuschend. Ich kann die anderen Bewertungen nicht nachvollziehen. ######### (2022) Absolut zu empfehlen, selbst hergestellte traumhaft abgeschmeckt kalte und warme Vorspeisen von hoher Qualität. Im hinteren Bereich verbirgt sich ein Restaurant. Wir kommen wieder! Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis passt.

Wir waren heute Abend das erste Mal im Byblos und werden definitiv wiederkommen! Das Essen war unglaublich lecker, die verschiedenen Fleischsorten allesamt perfekt gebraten, die Beilagen und Dips fantastisch und der Service herzlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist wirklich top. Es gab sogar noch ein Dessert aufs Haus weil die Getränke etwas später kamen. Man kann draußen nett sitzen und es gibt zudem auch noch viele vegane und vegetarische Gerichte. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Gerne gebe ich dir die maximale Punktzahl! Bisher hat mir alles, was ich hier gegessen habe ausgezeichnet geschmeckt. Das Essen was wir bekommen haben, sah fantastisch aus. Der Besitzer ist sehr nett und absolut authentisch. Ich denke, er hat Freude dran, Menschen leckeres Essen zu bereiten. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder!

Sehr lecker! Alle Speisen schmackhaft, ausreichend und frisch. Gerade die Vorspeisen sind hausgemacht und echt gut. Der Service freundlich, das Ambiente nett und Positiv überrascht wenn man hinter die Theke im Imbiss Design schreitet.

Tolles Restaurant mit leckeren Essen! Ich bin hier gerne mit meinen Eltern. Teilweise dauert es etwas lang.

Unfassbar leckerer Hummus, Pita Brot und andere Dips!! Es dauert zwar einen Moment bis das Essen kommt, aber es lohnt sich definitiv!

From the outside, it looks nice but unassuming. As soon as you step inside, you're suddenly somewhere in the south, somewhere between Greece and Lebanon. I had chicken with fries, cottage cheese sauce, guacamole, and a salad🥗 Waiting for my bus, I found myself on a culinary journey. I highly recommend this place. Every detail is thought out, from the lighting to the chairs.

We had a wonderful evening here and discovered the delicious flavors of Lebanese cuisine. We ordered several mixed grill platters and side dishes with freshly baked bread. Both the chicken and the lamb were perfectly cooked, tender, and deliciously seasoned. They were also served with tasty fried potatoes. The service was very friendly and attentive. The price was right, and we highly recommend this restaurant.

The food selection is something different, something extraordinary for some people. Long waiting times between arrival and being served. We had to wait a long time for our food. And in the end, you have to keep a very close eye on the bill, otherwise you might be in for a surprise (not in your favor).

The food was good, but you should allow plenty of time. The loud techno music at the front was incredibly annoying and kind of ruined the otherwise nice atmosphere.

I had lunch at Byblos. From the outside, I expected a typical, rather unassuming snack bar. But inside, I was pleasantly surprised. The decor was beautiful and harmonious. The service was excellent—friendly, professional, and incredibly approachable. And the food was absolutely delicious. The lamb skewers were very good. The chicken was also tasty and tender. The little falafel hearts were adorable. And they even offered us a complimentary dessert afterward. My wife and I arrived hungry and left happy and satisfied as we continued our journey. Today, the two of us ate at Byblos for the first time. From the outside, it looks a bit like a snack bar, but there's a lovely dining room in the back. The service was very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The food was excellent! We shared a platter with hummus, diced potatoes, eggplant, and other items for two people. Everything was really delicious and more than plentiful. We even got a complimentary dessert to top it off. Highly recommended! I'll definitely go back.

We were a group of eight at Byblos and were treated to some very delicious food. We were advised to order both the appetizers and main courses as a colorful selection. That was an excellent decision! There was more than enough of everything, and every dish was extremely tasty! We deducted one star for the service because we had to wait quite a while, even for drinks we wanted to order in between. But that was really the only thing we could criticize.

Byblos is a winner all around: authentic Lebanese cuisine, wonderfully aromatic and prepared with great attention to detail. The mezze are a real highlight – fresh, perfectly seasoned, and ideal for sharing. The main courses are also incredibly delicious and very generously portioned. On top of that, the service is exceptionally warm and welcoming: attentive, relaxed, and genuinely hospitable without being pretentious. The price and quality are perfectly matched.

The four of us had a delicious dinner here on New Year's Eve. It was absolutely fantastic and reminded us of our trip to Lebanon! Food was amazing. We had various dips and meat platter and we were blown away how delicious everything was. Portions are so big that we took three take out boxes for home. I recommend 100%.

From the street, it looks like a snack bar, but inside it's a small restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. I've eaten at Byblos several times, and the staff have always been very friendly and the food excellent. The menu also offers a wide selection for vegetarians and vegans. I've always found the wait times to be perfectly reasonable. I can only mention one negative point, and that's the room temperature (at least in winter). Unfortunately, it was always too cold for us on all our visits. Maybe we'll just come in the summer next time. 😉

We drove all the way from afar to get there... we had to wait 30 minutes for drinks and 1.5 hours for food. The portions were small for the price, and there weren't many fries. The guacamole was tasty, though. Unfortunately, we won't be back. 😕
