Byblos Lebanese Restaurant in Emsdetten

We spent New Year's Eve at Byblos. It was very cozy. The service was very friendly and the food was great. The restaurant is highly recommended.

We were a group of six and ate at Byblos between the holidays. It was my first time at a Lebanese restaurant, but certainly not my last. The service was excellent – ​​very fast and very friendly. The food was outstanding. I highly recommend the set menus, which offer a little bit of everything, but – and this is absolutely crucial for German customers – the portions are generous. The portion sizes were perfect, leaving room for a sinfully delicious dessert. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this restaurant.

The food is amazing. The appetizers are very varied and all taste fantastic. The main course is also delicious. The staff always have a smile on their faces. The price-performance ratio is therefore absolutely fine. We felt very comfortable and will definitely come back! Thank you so much!

Now the restaurant is trying to compensate for its bad reviews by labeling them as fake accounts and reporting them. I didn't find the food (including the falafel) particularly good. I've had much better. Tastes differ, and the restaurant unfortunately has to accept that. Furthermore, from my perspective, the restaurant's design wasn't very good. The ambiance, on the other hand, was slightly above average but definitely could be improved. I try to rate all restaurants fairly and don't hesitate to give them less than 5 stars. However, I find it really disappointing that a restaurant like this doesn't even ask why these reviews are being written but simply labels them as fake.

I came across the Byblos restaurant through a recommendation. We ordered the Mesa menu with fish. What can I say? It was delicious. The ingredients and dishes are exceptional. Everything tasted super fresh. Extensive menu. Grilled meat and fish. Vegetarian and even vegan. The ambience and atmosphere are something special. You feel like you're on vacation. TOP service. Very accommodating and attentive. You feel welcome here as a guest.

There were three of us there (one of us with many years of experience in the catering industry) initially positively impressed but disappointed at the end. All three of us ordered the fish buffet at the table. This means we are served a lot of little things at the table, we can reorder what we liked, the main course is a fish platter and dessert is also included. Nice concept. When we ordered the small dumplings with shrimp, one of them was still frozen and one had a hair in it. Instead of an apology, there was only the statement that it was the first time. We waited two hours for the grilled fish platter and when we wanted to order dessert we were told the kitchen was already closed, which no one informed us about beforehand (as previously described, one of us had experience in gastronomy and knew how it should work - we inform the guests that the kitchen is closing soon). The waitress was very annoyed by the notice but asked and we still got our dessert. Uffffff instead of just having a nice evening, we had to ask a lot of questions, wait a long time and assert ourselves. We ended up leaving the restaurant with a bitter aftertaste...

This hungry traveller went on a spontaneous outing for two and tried Byblos in Emsdetten. We arrived at 1830, ie about a hour before prime time, to a already quiet full restaurant. Despite this, the Manager was able to get us a table for two, albeit with a time limit of one hour and, given the circumstances we felt that this was a good deal, Service,was exzellent, attentive and competent and, most importantly, the dishes were quite spectacular - we tried the large appetizer selection. When our time was up, we were essentially done, paid up and left as very satisfied customers. We had a great experience and look forward to return with more time on our hands.

A taste highlight was, among other things, the dessert (warm cream cheese in puff pastry with cinnamon sugar?). You can park easily in the parking lot next to the train station.

This time not directly in the restaurant, but as a barbecue buffet at our summer festival in Osnabrück on the banks of the Elbe. - all agreements were incredibly easy, we quickly understood each other and were able to quickly agree on what would be the best food for the group (vegans, vegetarians and flexitarians). - Assembly was quick and looked great (extra displays for the meat, hanging sausages next to garlic, dessert refrigerator, ...) - super tasty and always interesting taste without being overly seasoned Gladly again!

Das Restaurant, Teil des Emsdetteners Bahnhofs, hat ein schönes Ambiente mit viel Sitzplätzen. Der Anbau ist nicht so schön, irgendeine gemusterte Klebefolie an der Decke, wie der Hauptgastraum. Die Begrüßung und der Service ist freundlich. Die Speisen sind sehr lecker, die Voespeisenplatte ist auch als vegetarisch und vegane Version bestellt. Man kann nachfüllen lassen. Was mich etwas gestört hat ist, das alle Schalen aus Plastik (was spricht gegen Keramik) waren, sowie das es Flecken auf der Tischdecke gab und das auf der Bank ein großer Riss im Polster war. Das sind kleine Details, trübt ein ganz kleines Bisschen den guten Gesamteindruck. Was libanesisches Essen angeht, klare Empfehlung für das Byblos. Gerne wieder
