Very nice staff, but very inflexible when it comes to changes to orders. Any changes (different scoop of ice cream, etc.) are rejected.

If I could give this place a -5 I would. My family and I went recently and we were told that the kitchen was closer yet a few min after other people say and ordered food. Upon seeing this we asked to order food again but were told no only they would get food. Quite unfair treatment of guests. We asked again and were met by screams and horrible outbursts form the kitchen staff. The crazy lady came charging form the kitchen and was yelling so much simply for asking to be served food as others had been served food. Would not recommend this place, seeing as some of the staff are rude and act horrible towards clients for no good reason. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE

A very, very beautiful location. The owner is super nice and makes almost anything possible. The view is fantastic. The decor is very rustic, but very authentic and befitting a castle restaurant. The decor is very lovely. Forest and meadow flowers. Simply wonderful. Prices are absolutely reasonable. If you're in the area, definitely stop by!

A great menu with a good selection of dishes. Very friendly staff. The food is delicious and beautifully presented! My adult son is still raving about the burger weeks later and wants to go back (80km away) just for that reason alone! The location is fantastic, with a view of the Rhine and Lahn rivers. The beer garden is partially shaded by trees. If we're in the area, we'll definitely be back!

Very friendly staff who give you very good advice and respond to the guests' wishes, great atmosphere, the boss is simply a blast. The food is a poem, the dishes are prepared with great, loving recipes from grandma. Served with dedication and arranged on the plate. It's a shame that we live about 370 km away otherwise we would be there more often but we will definitely come back. Because it was so delicious and for us it is one of the best restaurants.

Beautiful beer garden at the top of Lahneck Castle! Opening times are independent of the castle! The food was really very good. My companion is still raving about the meatballs a day later. My damsel .... "fried chicken" was also very tasty and even juicy. The fries were also delicious. It seemed like everything was homemade (and NOT frozen). It was very nice to sit there. The climb is worth it for that alone; ) Service was very nice and funny! Card payment was possible.

Wir haben Burger (fleischhaltig & vegetarisch) und ein Hacksteak bestellt und es war sehr lecker! Bei dem Preis Leistungsverhältnis kann man sich bei den Portionen definitiv nicht beschweren. Man kann sogar noch etwas draufschlagen. Lediglich die Pommes waren uns etwas zu fettig. Ansonsten würden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen.

We ate there for the first time in the evening with 4 people on December 25th, 2024. It was super tasty, service was very friendly. We will definitely go there again. It is recommended. Keep it up. Local places like this need to be supported.

We spontaneously came to lunch and were able to join the boss while he decorated the Christmas tree. Nevertheless, he took a lot of time for us and often cheered us up during our stay with his warm manner The food was really extremely good. Pretty much the best and friendliest restaurant I've ever been to. Food was delicious and not overpriced despite inflation (October 2024). The Lahnstein beer is really good and supplied by a small local manufacturer. This is the first time I've visited the area with a backpack instead of the usual car. I was able to dry my things on the heater, charge my cell phone and power banks, no problem. Great view while serving (I had the potato mince casserole) and the waiter (owner?) was super friendly and willing to talk but also not pushy. Best experience in Europe so far. 10/5 possible stars😉👍🤟

Since we stayed one night at the campsite right next to the castle, we also ate in this great restaurant. The view is very nice, the staff is super nice and funny, the food is extremely good. If we are in the area again, we will definitely come back.

Beautiful view of the Rhine Valley, wonderful outdoor dining in the shade of trees. Very friendly, attentive, motivated service. We ate very well. Homemade, freshly fried meatballs with good fries and tzatziki. The food on the neighboring tables also looked good. If the weather is bad you can also eat inside. We will come again.

We had dinner here. Very pleasant service and good food. Ordered a salad for the meal and asked if it was cabbage (due to allergies). Was told that it was only salad, but this contained several types of cabbage. Here it was probably just a communication failure. The food was very good! Nice view.

We were greeted in a very friendly manner and sat on the terrace with our little dog. The view is fantastic and the service is excellent in every respect, courteous, genuinely interested in the guest without being intrusive. The food was perfect! The meat was cooked to perfection and the side dishes were just as perfect. A meal that made you happy. We would love to come back because there are still many dishes on the menu that invite you to do so. We are happy to recommend this restaurant.

We were there in June last year. Parked the motorcycles at the swimming pool and strolled to the restaurant. We were very enthusiastic and will come back for a delicious meal and enjoy the hours here with friendly service.

Super delicious food, with very warm and cheerful restaurant owners and a great view of the Rhine Valley and the Lahn. The location and furnishings of the restaurant fit perfectly with the castle next door, you just feel very comfortable there. Whether you're looking for a coffee and/or a piece of cake/waffle, a snack or drink, or something hearty/vegetarian, there's something for everyone. The highlight of the cuisine are typical Bulgarian specialties. In spring/summer you can relax on the terrace with a view of the Rhine Valley. From there and there there are numerous hiking trails with great views/views. I can only recommend it.

Nice restaurant with a dream view of the Rhine and Lahn. In the afternoon there are freshly baked waffles, but also dishes from the large menu. The waffle with cherries was very tasty. The flatbread was very powerful. We were served very friendly. Dogs are prohibited on the entire castle grounds.

Nice location near the castle, but the restaurant itself lacks atmosphere. The beef on the skewer was good, but far too salty, which is a shame. Fries were also way too salty. In combination with the high price (e.g. 8 euros for a house wine) two stars. Not recommended.

The food here was excellent! I ordered the Grafenschmaus that had rumpsteak, pork medallion, sausage, and a kabab skewer. My meal also included a side of fries, rice, and delcious red sauce dip.

De prijzen liggen hier wat hoger dan in vergelijkbare restaurants. Het terras met prachtig uitzicht over de Rijn en haar omgeving was de voornaamste reden om hier te gaan eten, maar dat is ook het enige dat je voor die hogere prijs terug krijgt. Het eten was niet slecht, maar was niet bijzonder. Het personeel straalde ook niet uit dat ze heel erg blij waren met de gasten en het hen naar de zin wilde maken. Kortom het was niet slecht, maar de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding was wat ons betreft niet in orde.

So ein wunderschönes, kleines, uriges Restaurant - direkt neben der Burg Lahneck. Es gibt Bulgarische und Deutsche Küche. Wir wurden auch sehr nett bedient und haben sehr lecker gegessen! Meine gegrillte Forelle mit Füllung aus getrockneten Tomaten und Oliven mit Knoblauchkartoffeln war sehr gut. Also echt eine Empfehlung!

Sehr empfehlenswert. Hat man den Aufstieg erstmal geschafft, erwartet einen ein sehr liebevolles Restaurant in perfekter Lage. Man sieht ganz Lahnstein, inklusive der Burg Stolzenfels. Wir waren überrascht wie auagezeichnet der Wein ist. Das Brot des Vorspeisentellers erinnerte an Langos, für eine Person definitiv zu viel, für 2 genau perfekt. Das Fleisch beim Grillteller hatte den perfekten Garpunkt, soooo zart und butterweich. Der Reis ein Gedicht. Alles in allem sehr empfehlenswert, auf jeden Fall wieder. (wir waren übrigens ende april da)

Waren gerade dort Essen, sehr schöne Aussicht. Das Essen war allerdings Enttäuschend, wir hatten 2 Bürger, die sahen gut aus, allerdings war das Hackfleisch innen noch roh. Am besten also die Patties gleich checken.

Sehr gutes Restaurant. War vor allem begeistert von dem jungen, sehr aufmerksamen, charmanten Kellner! Freue mich schon aufs nächste Mal.

Gut bürgerlich kroatsches Essen. Sehr lecker zubereitet. Wohlfühlatmosphäre mit wundervoller Aussicht. Am besten kombinieren mit einer Burgführung.

Erst denkt man, tolle Aussicht aber sehr seltsame Bedienung. Wirken bisschen unfreundlich. Aber nachdem wir da länger Pause gemacht haben und nur was getrunken hatten konnten wir die Mitarbeiter besser kennen lernen. Das ganze Personal ist extrem freundlich, das Essen hat wirklich gut geschmeckt und dazu diese tolle Aussicht. Wir können einen Besuch dort nur emfpehlen.

Sehr leckeres Essen, der Service ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich. Wenn wir auf dem Campingplatz daneben verweilen freuen wir uns immer auf einen Besuch in diesem Restaurant.

Beau point de vue sur la rive opposée du Rhin avec le château de stolzenfel dans la mire mais la nourriture n'était pas top pour un prix assez élevé. Prévoir de la liquidité car ce restaurant n'accepte pas les cartes de crédit et il n'y a pas de distributeurs bancaires dans les alentours.

Die Lage und das sonnige Plätzchen hätten mehr Sterne verdient. Der bedienende Herr war arrogant bis unfreundlich. Die Dame, die die Waffeln gebracht hatte, freundlich. Das konnte aber seine Art nicht aufwiegen. Das erlebe ich selten in dieser Form. Waffeln und Kaffee waren okay.

Bediening was erg onvriendelijk. Ook kon er niet gepind worden en werd er geïrriteerd gereageerd toen wij wilden pinnen, terwijl nergens stond aangegeven dat dit niet mogelijk was. Tot slot was ook de chocomel niet te drinken. Het was enkel heet water met poeder voor de onzinnige prijs van meer dan drie euro. Thuis maakt men dit nog beter klaar. Kortom erg bagger.

Hervorragende bulgarische und europäische Küche. Geheimtipp ist der Ritterspiess. Pfeffersteak, gefüllte Forelle, frische Salate, alles war super.

Schöne Lage unterhalb der Burg mit luftigem Biergarten. Leider ist die B42 sehr deutlich zu hören. Das Servicepersonal ist schnell, aber leider etwas unterkühlt. Das ist Essen (Des Knechtes Grillteller und das gefüllte Hacksteack) hat gut geschmeckt, aber hätte etwas wärmer sein können.

Da fehlen einem die Worte.. Wir wollten nach einem Ausflug auf die Burg (sehr schön) noch etwas in dem Restaurant essen. Die Bedienung war sehr unfreundlich. Es gab 2 Bedienungen und es waren insgesamt 5 Tische (drinnen & draußen) belegt. Trotzdem mussten wir 15min warten bis wir überhaupt die Karte bekamen! Die Getränken kamen dann auch schnell, Qualität war ok. Das Essen weniger: das erste kam schnell, Qualität war eher Tiefkühlkost. Das zweite Essen kam dann 20 Minuten später und 2 Essen wurden komplett vergessen. Die hohe war dann, als wir frustriert um die Rechnung gebeten hatten, dass uns trotzdem alle 4 Gerichte berechnet wurden und auf unsere Anmietung hin erstaunt gefragt wurde, ob wir diese jetzt noch haben möchten!! Tut mir leid, aber hier werden wir nicht mehr einkehren und ich kann jedem nur davon abraten.
