Burgermeister in Berlin

Unfortunately, the order was simply cancelled 15 minutes after it was confirmed. That's not exactly a pleasant experience for a customer. What a shame.

Best hamburger ive ever had! The brioche bun is out of this world.

We visited the Burgermeister restaurant in Berlin and ordered two Fleischer Meister burgers, a cheeseburger, a hamburger, and a portion of fries. However, we simply didn't receive the fries, even though we ordered on-site and took them to go immediately. When we inquired about this, we were repeatedly told that alleged video recordings "clearly" proved we had received the fries. Nevertheless, these recordings were not shown to us – supposedly for data protection reasons. The manager remained extremely unfriendly and kept repeating the same reference to the video recordings instead of offering a simple solution. When we mentioned contacting the police, they suddenly agreed to review the tapes again. At this point, the whole situation seemed absurd and unprofessional, so we ended the conversation and left the restaurant. After reading other Google reviews later, it appears this behavior is unfortunately not an isolated incident. We were particularly struck by the extremely unfriendly tone of the staff – especially the supposed manager. A simple apology or at least a minimally customer-friendly approach could have easily resolved the situation.

No toilet, no sink, and all this with finger food…

This is a mixed review - let's call it food vs. staff. The food was good. The best burger I've ever had? No. Would the burger hit the spot if hungry? Absolutely yes. We were in on Halloween evening. People dressed up. Lots of things happening around. Our experience was pretty okay until we witnessed the disgusting behaviour of the male staff in the front of house as a small group of very young girls walked in. The wolf-whistling, the comments to other male staff behind to look at the girls in question, followed by more comments I did not quite catch but pointed towards the appearance of the girls, completely ruined the spot for me. Surely there is some management onsite? Someone in the staff surely should've stepped in. The behaviour was entirely unacceptable.

Great place! A bit pricey for fast food, but it's high quality and tasty. I highly recommend it.

I really find it terrible that they do not have a bathroom for clients!! How is this possible ? Otherwise good is good as all Burgermeister and the staff is really really kind. But really….. no bathroom???

It should be common knowledge by now that Burgermeister makes top-notch burgers that are incredibly juicy and flavorful, lacking nothing. I can wholeheartedly recommend them! Then a cookie, also ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Crispy and juicy, and a generous portion to boot. So, completely satisfied as a delivery customer ❤🌞🌞🌞 Addendum: The quality is consistent, and this has been confirmed multiple times ❤️👍👍👍

I've been a loyal customer of Meister for years, but today I was extremely disappointed. The cheese sauce is just a thickener. There's no flavor to speak of. This otherwise excellent product lacks BBQ flavor and bacon, and just tastes like "the product itself." Where has your passion gone?

WARNING: FRAUD!!! On October 7, three of us visited the restaurant and ordered a meal for €42. The cashier made a mistake by ordering a regular drink instead of the desired shake with cream. When we noticed the error and pointed it out to her, she consulted with a colleague and claimed she would cancel the first bill. We were asked to pay again, this time for approximately €45. We were skeptical and asked if we couldn't simply order the correct drink separately, but she refused. With a strange feeling in our stomachs, we swiped our cards again – which turned out to be a huge mistake!!! When I checked my account the next day, I immediately noticed the two debits but no chargeback. To give it a fair chance, I even waited a whole week, but nothing changed. After a week, I visited the restaurant again and brought my case to my attention. The employees were clearly overwhelmed. No one wanted to help me. Instead, they claimed that it couldn't have been deducted from my account if my colleague had canceled it. I was forced to show the staff both my bank statement and the receipt, which luckily I had kept. After a lot of back and forth, I wanted to speak to the manager in person, who was suddenly no longer in the office. He said that a chargeback takes two weeks, so I should be patient for another week. After two weeks, as expected, nothing had been refunded!!! I called, but the manager was of course unavailable again, and whoever was on the phone said: IF there really was a booking error, the money will be returned SOMEDAY. I made it clear to him that I felt disregarded and cheated, but HE just LAUGHED and said there was nothing he could do for me!!! Now we are basically on week three. The money still hasn't been refunded, and to this day there has been NO APOLOGY, NO CONCERN, NOTHING!!! That's why I've now reported the case and denounced these scammers! It's terrible that something like this can happen in Germany, in a restaurant chain of this size! Wow!!!

Everything's perfect here! Atmosphere, delicious burgers, delicious fries—what more could you want? P.S. The only downside is the lack of a restroom.

Very good food, for a decent price. Quality of the food was amazing. Usually places to sit, but can be full now and then.

Still a very good cheeseburger but compared to the Silesian one in the early days it falls a bit short.

The burger is as always very good, juicy meat, a combination of simple products, a delicate, slightly sweet bun is only an addition to the taste found in the meat.

Always the bomb. Well priced, basic but delicious burgers. Always tasty, greasy and bloody fantastic. The juicy patties and fluffy buns have dragged me out of bed after a classic, hard, berlin night out, on a 1 hour round trip with the u-bahn (you party people know how hard that is while contemplating life choices) to pick up some of these badboys and take home for me and my wife who is as much a fan. Sometimes ill get two extra burgers for after that 15 hour sleep that follows 🙃 will always be my first burger of choice

I would rate it 4 stars if it wasn't that overrated. There are many better options for smash burger.

i used to love burgermeister and i still do but my latest experiences were always that the burger (bread as well as meat) was too dry, felt like thrown together in a rush and not really "done" when I received it. not sure if this is supposed to match a new taste profile or if it's a decline in quality, as it's not "bad" per se. people who work there are always nice, will come back but might be worth looking into what's going on there.

Guests are denied access to the restroom. The staff act as if there aren't any. The manager apparently doesn't want anyone using his restroom.

First time trying Burgermeister and loved it. Especially Hausmeister burger was very delightful (i think for bacon :D). Atmosphere just little bit noisy.

My favourite hamburger place in Berlin. Prices are alright, and the quality is great for the price, especially compared to that artificial goo they call meet in "established" burger joints. The staff ia quick, so not much waiting time even when it's crowded.

Burgers are great, bacon onion fries, cheese sauce, good sauce, just unfortunately loads of delivery bikes infront which kinda ruins the view

The burgers here are good. I’ve been a loyal fan and have visited the Eberswalder Str. location multiple times. But for the price they charge, the service and overall experience are seriously lacking. First, the loyalty program is poorly managed. Staff told me to text customer service to get points since there’s no scanner at this location. I followed the instructions, sent receipts multiple times, and was told points would be added. Then I was suddenly informed that this location isn’t even part of the program — despite the fact that the new loyalty system is clearly advertised on their receipts. That’s misleading and frustrating. Second, there’s a lack of basic hygiene and customer facilities. There’s no toilet, no hand sanitizer, no wipes — nothing. If you want clean hands while eating your burgers, you’ll have to bring your own. The burgers are well. But for the price, you’d expect better service, transparency, and basic facilities. Sadly, I won’t be coming back. Update: The team reached out to me. They apologized, explained that the staff hadn’t been properly informed about the new loyalty system, and manually added my missing points. I appreciate that they took the time to fix the issue 💚

We were there at 2 a.m., but the hamburger tasted quite dry, from the bun to the meat. The salad was crisp. So there's room for improvement if you're suddenly hungry and want to stop by at night.

The food is okay. Fairly priced, but it's self-service. No restrooms—not acceptable in a tourist area.

I'm not a burger fan but this place has the best. I tried the vegan one and it was very good. Get 2 of each to fill you up. You sit outside (August) it's a bit crowded and dirty.

First time trying the burgers at Burgermeister. I was not disappointed! Really great tasting and juicy burgers that are not greasy. I enjoyed the skin on fries as well. I also tried the blueberry cheesecake cookies, and they were delicious! The staff in this particular venue were really nice and very helpful. I will come back again when I next visit Berlin. Please come and open in London!

Burger was decent but nothing special. Fries were not good, they were not crispy and a bit oily. Service was friendly however and quick.

Went back to Bürgermeister in a long time and the quality is poor. It really isn’t what it used to be. Do yourself a favor and go to an independent burger restaurant, costs the same and you actually recieve a good meal.

Ordered through Lieferando! My food hasn't arrived! The only person in the restaurant is someone who doesn't speak German, and the manager isn't there. I'm €20 in the red and I still haven't received my food! I'm calling the police!

Burgermeister is a must-try for burger lovers in Berlin. The place is located under the subway tracks in Kreuzberg. The burgers are delicious and generously garnished. The cheddar and bacon fries are also a must! There can be a bit of a wait, especially in the evening, but it's definitely worth it.

Delicious burgers, nice and soft, good for the soul. After this, you'll never want to go back to the usual US chains. The thick giant cookies and creamy milkshakes are also highly recommended. The prices are fair for the very good and reliable quality.

Not sure since when they decided to not let customers use the bathroom or wash the hand. Quite disappointed as we already ordered. It is illogical as the store serves drinks.

Burgers are tasty in themselves, but I can't recommend anyone to order there via Lieferando, because the burgers never arrive or arrive completely cold because the driver first drives across Berlin...Burgermeister says to contact Lieferando, but you can no longer call Lieferando. Only contact via social media (not everyone has that!) or by email. But a reply by email when the food doesn't arrive doesn't help me after a few days. So if you eat at Burgermeister, then ONLY ON SITE! No toilets available.

The burgers are so delicious. You should have some time on the weekend. But it's worth the wait.

Always worth a visit if you like burgers. Every burger is freshly prepared. Ordering is uncomplicated and the burgers and/or fries are prepared quickly. Cool location with a relaxed atmosphere.

Not as good as yester year. Used to be top notch. Now dry. Tummy hurts. Need more beer. Now it rhymes.

The burger patty was burnt on one side and the fries were broken into small pieces. I think they added leftovers from the previous order and a very small amount of fresh fries.

Unfortunately no longer recommended. The prices are very humane. But the patty was super thin, dry and fried to death. Just mayo on it as a sauce. The whole burger had a subtle taste of old fat. Fries were OK. Then it's better to raise the prices a little and get decent meat.

Proven Burgermeister quality. The store can get very busy on weekends. Well-prepared burgers. Unfortunately there are no toilets.

Tasted good, but first they wanted to give me the wrong bag and then they also forgot my fries, unfortunately I didn't notice that until I was already gone. So if you order takeaway, be sure to check the order.

There are a few around Berlin. We ordered it to go, and both the burger and the fries with bacon were delicious. Very reasonably priced.

The burgers are good but unfortunately there are no toilets. There should be no exception within the meaning of the restaurant regulations because there are more than 10 seats. I'm not an expert in restaurant law but I was very surprised that there was no toilet.

Cheeseburger is great. Bun soft buttery. Everything freshly prepared. For 6.90 a full recommendation. The chocolate shake is mega. Had a bet with one of the nice employees. He was right.

We ordered home delivery via Wolt, and I can say it was the worst burger I’ve ever had. 😒 The burger was extremely dry—you need to drink something just to swallow it! The meat is especially dry and flavorless. Plus, the fries tasted like they were from the day before. We chose cheesy fries, but all we got was a completely artificial, flavorless cheese sauce. I thought they would put real cheese on top. 🙈 A huge disappointment. I will never order from them again.😔

Food is good, but why is there NO TOILET?? Also no wet paper towels, no hand sanitizer, even napkins are given out upon request. This is so not on par with the Burgermeister quality I know from other locations in Berlin.

We went on a Saturday afternoon for lunch, it was quite full, however, the tables emptied quickly. The food is delicious, the portion of the potatoes is quite generous, I recommend the ones with the cheese sauce. The prices are very good compared to other restaurants in Berlin. Fresh ingredients. They don't take you to the table, you have to claim the food at the counter, the service is very agile. Everything was fine.

It’s sad that since their debut at Schlesisches Tor they’ve lost a lot of their quality to expansion. For some reason also their prices on the app for online orders vary from one branch to another which is not cool - at Eberswalderstr. the price for a Hausmeister pick up is 8,60€ at other branches it’s 7,80€ ..

Worst burger master in town :( Nothing ever arrives correctly or completely!

Stable burgers. The staff there are real sweethearts - always attentive, friendly and concerned about cleanliness. LG
