Bürgerhaus "Alte Schule" Hofkirchen in Taufkirchen (Vils)

We visited on a beautiful day and sat on the lovely terrace on a balmy summer evening. The staff and service were fantastic, the portions were enormous, to say the least, and very reasonably priced – a lovely menu of Bavarian and modern dishes at very fair prices. It tasted truly delicious. Highly recommended!

Very unfriendly and unable to accept criticism, almost an hour waiting time for 3 salads and 1 meatloaf.

We had dinner with the whole family today. It arrived after a 45-minute wait. When I criticized the restaurant, I was told it wasn't a Michelin-starred restaurant... I don't expect quality from a Michelin-starred restaurant either, but from a rural restaurant, I expect the cooking to be done with passion, love, and quality. Anyone who's overwhelmed with eight guests inside, three children, and two adults outside in the kitchen should simply leave the restaurant business.

I'm rating this inn blindly because I don't want to ruin the reviews. I was there today, June 22nd, and found the doors closed because it was a short break! No offense, everyone needs a break, but please post it on the website, or even better, here. I found you via Maps, so I could have saved myself the trip. No offense.

Home-style cooking. Very nice service. The cheese spaetzle was a bit bland. A pinch of salt would have been good here. Also add fresh parsley to the champions and sauce, for example, and it tastes fresher. The burger was a bit small for the price. But otherwise everything was clean and nice.

Ate asparagus with schnitzel and potatoes. Food was super tasty and more than enough. The asparagus salad with strawberries is a poem. The chocolate souffle with a liquid white center was an excellent rounding off. Dear Franzi, we were treated so well, we will definitely be back! We spent the perfect evening with you.

Hofkirchen und Umgebung hätte mit dem Bürgerhaus nichts besseres passieren können. Die Küche ist hervorragend,alles schmeckt sehr gut bei normalen Preisen.Das Personal ist flott und sehr sehr freundlich.Die Terrasse bzw der Biergarten ist gemütlich gestaltet.Das Reservierungssystem ist perfekt und wäre für andere Gastrobetriebe empfehlenswert. Alles in allem sehr Emfehlenswert.
