Burger King in Frankfurt am Main

Very poor service. Apparently, it's too complicated to serve a customer a Whopper, salad, Diet Coke, and coffee all at once. It's better if they make three separate trips. Because there's no Coke. Because there's no fork. I'm not even going to bother asking for salad dressing. Communication is impossible in either German or English. Unfortunately, I don't speak Hindi. This shouldn't be the norm at Frankfurt Airport. Ordering and payment are only possible at the self-service kiosk.

You can't use app coupons there…

Fresh Whoppers & great service! I spontaneously went to Burger King today and was pleasantly surprised. The Whopper was really fresh, juicy, and perfectly grilled. The staff were friendly, and the food arrived quickly. I'll definitely be back!

"Clean store & friendly staff" The branch was very clean and the staff were smiling despite being busy. The portions were large and the price-performance ratio is excellent. Highly recommended.

I was there on Friday and was very satisfied. The restaurant is large and beautiful, the food was hot and fresh. The service was also very friendly. I would definitely recommend it!

Only some of the vending machines are working. The ones that are working have run out of receipt paper, so the order number remains a mystery. The meal ordered on the spot was packed to take away. There are better burger restaurants.

I ordered a Sprite and received sparkling water. After asking, I received sparkling water again instead of Sprite, and the cup was only half-filled, even though my first cup was still full to the brim. (I suspect they ran out of syrup or something.) On top of that, the fries were cold! Unpalatable, and the staff was unfriendly.

I ordered the food in a 10% full restaurant and it took them more than 30 minutes to prepare it. I saw people coming, ordering, getting the food, eating and leaving, before I got my order. At least the burger was nice.

Unfortunately, no fresh burgers. The long chicken burger was inedible (sour mayo). Chili cheese fries are also impossible to eat without cutlery... The fries and Coke were okay. Sorry, but we'll stick with McDonald's!

This food is absolutely disgusting 🤮. We ordered two burgers and one order of chilly cheeseburger fries with two 0.4-liter Cokes and paid around €22 for it. That's outrageous!

Worst BK ever. Takes almost on average 20 min to get your order and it’s in an airport! The staff is stalling and act like it’s their first day, without any supervision.

Cold fries, many dishes sold out by 1:30 p.m. Staff seems overwhelmed by the rush of customers. Order terminals don't work (they'll probably shut down when it gets too busy). Card payments aren't accepted.

Coupons aren't accepted. The scanner at the terminal beeps when I scan my code, but no coupons appear. The staff also seems completely overwhelmed.

Despite politely asking, I didn't get a Burger King paper crown, even though employees are required to give one to any customer upon request, saying, "You're the best." Disappointingly, I couldn't board my flight with a Burger King crown as planned... The burger was okay. Can't complain.

Impossible. You order at the machine, only to be told we're closing now and there's nothing left to order.

It's littered with trash, and no one thinks it's necessary to clean it. A homeless person deliberately threw an unused tray off the table in front of the door. An employee retrieved the tray but left the mess lying there. Many station visitors had to walk around it. Many accidentally fell through. Not recommended!

I was there late in the evening and it was already closed. But that didn't stop the dozen rats and mice from running around between the tables. Yuck.

No complain. The food was fast and taste the same as any other Burger King.

Probably the worst Burger King I know in Germany. Unfortunately! For a location like this, it's a disgrace! It only gets two points because it's relatively clean. Otherwise, the ordering terminals are unresponsive, they don't have paper, they don't accept vouchers, and some of the debit terminals aren't responding. Unfortunately, the wait time is also very long. And the orders are faulty. We've been here for three days and not a single order has been perfect... Save yourselves and run over to one of the terminals!

For €19, I got a salad with just two tomato slices and one lettuce leaf, a cheese fries without the eponymous "cheese," and a Whopper with no sauce. After this visit, I've given up on Burger King for a very long time. A disgrace.

A burger takes more than 20 minutes, staff is incompetent, absolutely fatal

Where should I begin? The ordering terminal is almost impossible to use (the display is broken), and the card reader is also broken, so the order is completely lost. Staff are unmotivated and unfriendly, making it impossible to wait.

Doors wide open, no info about closing hours. I placed a €20 order on the kiosk inside, and only then the staff rudely told me they were closed and kicked me out. Extremely rude and unprofessional. Never again.

Absolute mess. Only one of the four terminals even works. When you try to check out there, 50% of the time you get an error message and everything disappears. Then you obviously don't want the money. A real garbage store, don't go there. I'd rather buy 3.50 for 500ml of water than spend a single cent here.

The terminals aren't working. Have they ever worked here? Not for me. I wanted a package of 20 nuggets. Employee: "I only have 9 nuggets left." "Make a special package." Discussion that leads nowhere, also due to a lack of language skills. A manager joins in: "Open new nuggets." Burger King knows why the terminals are essential. Oh yeah: what's the point of this constant apology with the same old phrases? Autogrill, get your processes, technology, and personnel in order.

I've been here regularly for the past three years, morning and evening...not much has changed in that time except for the quality of the products. I was there a few days ago and couldn't believe my eyes...the burgers looked exactly like the pictures, and a huge thank you again to the guy in the kitchen who called out "Here you go!" 😂👍 The food has definitely improved at Burger King. I know the seating here is really worn out, but with the amount of vandalism sometimes, I can ignore it...the food still tastes good. Thanks to all the employees there, you're always nice and friendly ❤️

They didn't accept my Recup, arguing that it wasn't issued here, but somewhere else. The colleagues didn't understand the Recup system (which, in Germany, is almost independent of the issue), but they weren't willing to take a second look to see exactly what they were selling. My goodness...

After ordering, I had to wait 25 minutes, which meant I was able to witness how things just weren't meant to be. It was almost physically painful. The employees had no idea what to do. They argued, prepared the wrong food, threw it away, and took the same route several times for nothing. Finished burgers weren't delivered (better to discuss it), while others were returned by customers. My burger was carried back and forth by three employees! And of course, it was cold when it was finally delivered. If there were stars for a lesson in inefficiency, this would be 5 stars...

No milkshakes or other milk-based drinks. All sauces except the fries sauce were gone. The fries were pale and lukewarm. The only plus was the air conditioning on a hot day.

I ordered a meal here for around €25 via the touchscreen. Unfortunately, the item was out of stock – but no one told me this beforehand. Instead, I was simply given something else, without any prior consultation. When I asked, the blonde employee with a flower hair clip simply said I had already paid and should take it as it was. If I wanted something else, I should reorder and pay. That's not good service. As a customer, you should be informed when a product is out of stock, not simply given something else without asking. Very disappointing.

Disgusting and not what I ordered. They keep selling even though they're out of stock... Sorry, but this is a disaster... And the burger is the wrong one, too...

Ordered double cheesemeal, but got normal cheesemeal what’s 2 euros less..

We didn't get everything we wanted for two different orders each...seems to have a system...you could only pay at the ordering terminals if you were taking the food with you...otherwise, you had to scan a barcode (but which one?). The staff was extremely unfriendly...and the food was only lukewarm. The tables were dirty, though...I'd like to post something positive...but unfortunately, I can't find a reason for it.

The food took more than 30+ minutes. Food arrived barely warm, burger buns were old, falling a part. Food preparation was made without any hygienic standards, touching ready to eat food with bare hands. Only positive side was a smiling lady on the counter. There is no costumer support. The ordering machines are not working . The staff members are very irresponsible. Why doesnt burger king just closes it shop here there is no use also when it isn’t efficient for the travellers. I am very disappointed with this burger . It just wasted my whole time and spoiled my mood. I would suggest to go for other food places other than burger king.

56 minute wait. People freaking out it was taking so long but nothing being communicated by management. While I understand it was busy and often will be at airports, the managers handled it extremely poorly and did not even jump in to help their staff prepare food. They should institute a wait timer so people get a sense of how long it will be as I took to warning people as many had to leave for their flights before their food was even close to ready. The workers were honestly moving in slow motion as well. Avoid at all costs!

Avoid! They don't have beef, so they serve chicken baguettes with mayonnaise. Their standard chicken burger is a mix of a falling-apart bun, mayonnaise, and curry ketchup. Disgusting!

We arrived about 15-20 minutes before closing time. The fact that the cashless counters aren't operating isn't really a problem, but it does mean you have to wait longer in line to order. We stood in line for 15 minutes, and when it was our turn, we were told that nothing was available. The employees could have announced beforehand that nothing would be available after 10 p.m. When we told them we'd been waiting 15 minutes, their completely rude response was, "It doesn't matter that you had to wait. If there's nothing left, then there's nothing left." It was only 10:02 p.m. So, waiting 15 minutes to get nothing at all. A rip-off.

Avoid this store. I waited over 40 minutes for my order and there was no warning or signage about the long wait before ordering. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and tasteless. Total mismanagement across the board: chaotic staff, cold food, very long wait, and zero regard for customer experience. I genuinely hope Burger King management see this review and take appropriate action (date of visit July 23, time around 1pm). Until that happens, I strongly suggest avoiding this location if you value your time and money.

Please fire the team that was working on the 7th of July at 13 o’clock. I have never seen that in my ENTIRE life. First they are SO SLOW LIKE WAW HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE ITS AN AIRPORT PEOPLE ARE STRESSED. Secondly they litterally make a mistake in EACH ORDER. From the moment i made my order to the moment i got my order (my full order because they forgot a burger) 45 minutes passed. Please never go there they dont deserve any customers AND PLEASE FIRE THEM LIKE OH MY GOD HOW DO YOU STILL HAVE YOUR JOB. A small bonus is that they are very rude and unpolite. Not even an apology for the fortgotten burger the guy just threw it on the counter. + no one got gloves on. I hope your restaurant get a hygien control asap.

Pure rip-off – extremely rude and disrespectful employee! Burger King at Frankfurt Airport (Terminal 1, operated by Autogrill) is a disgrace. The official Burger King app listed the Whopper for €2.49 and the Long Chicken for €3.49. At the checkout, however, they charged €4.99 for the Whopper and €6.79 for the Long Chicken – more than double! When we politely addressed the employee, he immediately reacted rudely, condescendingly, and extremely unprofessionally. His verbatim comment: "You're not getting any money back from me." No attempt to explain the situation, no understanding, just a dismissive, condescending attitude. I asked to speak to a supervisor. This, too, was arrogantly refused with the statement, "He's not here." He wouldn't give out a phone number, and he also refused to call anyone himself. Instead of offering help, the employee was simply rude, loud, and completely disrespectful. This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially not at an international airport. This branch is a complete rip-off and is damaging Burger King's reputation. I strongly advise everyone not to buy anything there. Customer service = 0.

Nevermind the excruciating long wait times at the only 4 order terminals, we got the wrong food and stale fries. Absolutely would not recommend.

This Burger King must be making loads of money by NOT serving meals. I was waiting for 30 minutes for my food and during that time dozens of ordered and paid for meals have not been prepared and served. Only 4 people worked there and tried to serve dozens of customers. PS: their policy is to NOT return the money. do not ever eat there. PPS: see answer of owner below. I would suggest to review this restaurant yourself onsite and then make a public statement here. I am not willing to take this conversation private. The worst Burger King I've ever experienced. Drinks in the summer are served warm. No ice unless requested. No carbonation, so it tastes stale. Despite complaining. We then got the drinks from Rossmann. The burgers were dry and cold, which meant the meat was already grilled and had been sitting there for a while. Even though it was hardly busy, the service was poor. The shelves for trays were all full.

Service is extremely unfriendly. Coupons cannot be redeemed at the self-service counter. According to the staff, the cash registers are closed. Then you're left standing there.

I actually like Burger King, but when I was just returning from a flight, I saw this cute little mouse while the staff was cleaning on the other side. Since other reviews have already criticized the cleanliness, I think this is a real problem. That was June 25, 2025, at 10:25 PM.

Servers were not at all friendly and served 3 people before me even though my order had been ready for a long time. They wouldn't even give me ketchup even though it was specified in my order. Cold burger, really disappointing. Not clean at all. It's hard being black.

Also love the standard answer from BK customer support here where they post they will reach out to the location but then nothing changes. So they either don’t or the licensee doesn’t care 😂

Took a gamble and went here despite the reviews. Contrary to what I was expecting I got employees wearing gloves, an order executed in less then five minutes, burgers that were warm and fresh, and definitely no petting zoo with small shy animals searching for food.

The food was okay—a burger like you'd expect from BK, nothing special. Unfortunately, two sauces were forgotten, and instead of the large fries I ordered, I only got a small portion. Mistakes like this shouldn't happen with a simple order. I definitely won't order here again next time.

The food was tasty, and I really enjoyed it, but the big screens where one orders were laggy and buggy, I got no receipt, and it was a bit confusing with picking up the order. But for sure I'll come back here to eat!

The Burger King branch looks pretty clean (I didn't use the restroom), but there were hardly any customers. Maybe it's the food, which I really didn't like. Starting with the drink, it's 24 degrees outside, so I'd normally expect ice cubes in my drink, but instead I got a lukewarm Fanta... The fries were salty, but somehow I had all the salt on my fingers. The fries didn't taste salty at all... The man who made the burgers must have had a bit of a cold and was constantly snotting up his nose. He was only wearing a glove while preparing them. He touched the lettuce and the patties with his bare fingers, and with the hand where he had the glove, he used the sauce tube 👍 Somehow, everything didn't taste as Burger King-like as I'm used to...

Unfortunately, Burger King in Germany seems to have learned nothing. I was in a hurry, so I took the two burgers that were already ready. However, they were almost cold and completely dried out. The burgers must have been sitting there for a very long time. The staff prefers to chat among themselves rather than take care of the guests and the cleanliness of the restaurant. What a shame...

It's just disgusting. I had an extremely disappointing experience at this restaurant. First and foremost, I witnessed a staff member handling food—specifically tomatoes and lettuce—with bare hands and no gloves. This is an unacceptable breach of basic hygiene, especially in a high-traffic location like an airport. The drink I ordered was incorrect—not once, but twice. When they finally got the right one, it was completely flat. Upon returning it, I was told there was "no gas" available for the beverages. There were no signs or notifications to inform customers, and a long line continued to build up, unaware of the issue. This level of service and lack of hygiene is not only unacceptable but also potentially hazardous to health. For an establishment operating in an airport—where food safety should be paramount—this is simply inexcusable. I have recorded the incident and will be reporting it to the appropriate health and safety authorities. Honestly, this restaurant has no place operating in such a critical location. The reply from the owners is useless, and they will do nothing. Please file a complaint with the airport authorities if you witness what I did.

You really want to kid me!!! Yes, I love dips, so I ordered nine. If I hadn't accidentally looked in my bag when I received my order, I wouldn't have noticed until I got to the hotel that there were only three dips in the bag. I immediately informed the relevant employee, who was training a new employee, that some of the dressings were not included and she informed me that most of them were out of stock. Just as I expressed it to your employee, I would like to repeat myself here: I EXPECT that I will be informed without leaving Burger King and without appropriate compensation! They couldn't refund me the money, so I decided to make a different selection that I didn't want. When I arrived at the hotel I discovered that my extra patty was missing. REALLY NOW???!!! Are you kidding me?

The Burger King itself is very nice, relatively clean and there are plenty of seats. The toilet, however, is not very clean and out of 4 toilet paper rolls, none of them are in the wall holder provided. The food is good, but it felt like half of it wasn't available anymore, maybe. But we simply came at the wrong time.

Waiting time for an airport is terrible - 20 minutes for a menu, even though there were only 5 other guests and most of them ordered after me. An order terminal was also broken. Still: The food was surprisingly tasty, especially for an airport Burger King. Taste great, service flop.

Simply incompetent. All. From waitress to manager. It's best to go into the kitchen and fry it yourself - the staff there won't get anything wrong.
